Tesla is under investigation by US regulators over complaints the steering wheel can fall off certain new Model Y vehicles while they're in use. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said it's aware of two incidents in which the wheel detached from the steering column while drivers were operating the 2023 model year SUVs. The preliminary evaluation, opened March 4, applies to an estimated 120,089 vehicles, according to a filing posted on NHTSA's website. Former Apple executive Larry Jackson learned the record business from two of the most influential music moguls ever, Clive Davis and Jimmy lovine. Now, the 42-year-old is starting Gamma, a music company of his own. Jackson is loath to call Gamma a record label, but he's cut deals to release new music from Snoop Dogg, Usher and Rick Ross, and forged a joint venture with Snoop Dogg to distribute the catalog of pioneering hip-hop label Death Row Records. Sources say Jackson has about $1 billion in available capital, including equity and debt. President Biden's budget will propose hiking payroll taxes on Americans making over $400,000 per year and allowing the government new power to negotiate drug prices. The president's budget, which will be released Thursday, proposes raising Medicare taxes from 3.8% to 5% on annual income above $400,000, and eliminating a loophole business owners and higher-earners can exploit to avoid additional taxes, according to a White House fact sheet. Biden's plan would also help bolster Medicare reserves through some $200 billion in prescription drug reforms over the next decade by allowing the insurance program to negotiate costs on more medications and sooner after they come to market. Roger Ng, the only Goldman Sachs banker tried and convicted in the global 1MDB scandal, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, a milestone in the prosecution of the massive fraud. Ng, 51, was sentenced Thursday in federal court in Brooklyn, New York, where a jury convicted him last April of conspiring to violate U.S. anti-bribery laws and conspiring to launder money. Prosecutors had sought a 15-year prison term. The former Goldman managing director and his onetime boss, Tim Leissner, were accused of conspiring with Malaysian financier Jho Low, the bribery scheme's alleged mastermind. Low, now a fugitive, allegedly paid tens of millions of dollars to officials in Malaysia and Abu Dhabi to clinch bond deals arranged by Goldman, taking $1.42 billion for himself. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE on Monday announced that Adani Enterprises will move out from the short-term additional surveillance measure (ASM) framework. The move comes into effect from March 8, according to the circular available with the exchanges. Last month, both the NSE and BSE had put three Adani Group companies under the short-term additional surveillance measure framework. Apart from Adani Enterprises, the other two firms listed by the exchanges were - Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) and Ambuja Cements. However, APSEZ and Ambuja Cements were removed from the ASM framework on February 13. When ChatGPT was first launched in November 2022, a lot tech enthusiasts and AOI developers claimed that sooner or later, the Al chatbot from OpenAl would be coming for our jobs. Now, the threat is coming real as nearly half of US companies currently using ChatGPT said the chatbot has. already replaced workers, a recent survey revealed. This comes OpenAI CEO Sam Altman's warning that the Al chatbot shouldn't be relied on for "anything important". According to a survey done by job advice platform Resumebuilder.com on 1,000 business leaders, almost half of US companies which were a part of the survey have already implemented ChatGPT and as a result, it has replaced workers at their companies. American companies use ChatGPT for a range of purposes: 66 percent for writing code, 58 percent for creating prose and content, 57 percent for customer service, and 52 percent for meeting summaries and other papers, the survey showed. "Overall, most business leaders are impressed by ChatGPT's work," ResumeBuilder.com stated. "Fifty-five percent say the quality of work produced by ChatGPT is 'excellent, while 34 percent say it's 'very good." Machines and technology have always taken away traditional jobs.
