Stony Fic Search

Another fic that has been hovering in the back of my brain.

What I remember:

non-Avengers AU (rich genius Tony/pre-serum Steve)

Tony and Steve are dating in college and living together

Maria (Stark) sends Tony an invitation to come home (Christmas? college break? holiday break?)

I think Steve convinces Tony to go even if things are strained between him and his parents (and Steve goes because Tony won’t without him)

don’t remember whether Steve was included in the invitation or if the Starks knew Tony was dating Steve before they arrive

when they get there Jarvis is very kind (I don’t remember whether Jarvis’ wife Ana is also there)

I think Maria was kind to them but Howard was very opposing towards their relationship (obviously)

there’s a scene where Howard and Tony have a standoffish conversation while drinking alcohol (not sure if this is from a different fic but I’ll mention it, just in case)

there’s a Stark party/gala that they kept secret from Tony because they knew Tony wouldn’t agree

Steve again keeps Tony calm

but the whole time (at the mansion?) Steve has been feeling unwell/sick

at the gala they’re dressed up and Tony’s grandmother is there, along with a bunch of other important business people

Tony becomes suspicious and demands to know what’s going on

it’s revealed to Tony that Howard has been diagnosed with cancer (I’m pretty sure, either way he’s sick) and they have been angling to announce that Tony will be taking over the company

during the party they (I can’t remember which specific people, Howard or gran Stark or if Obadiah is at the party - if he’s in this at all) try to push Steve away from Tony

at one point Tony is whisked away from Steve’s side to talk to important people

Steve has been enduring but he ends up needing medical attention, it might have been the same night as the party or as they’re leaving

Howard, Maria, Jarvis and Tony are all at the hospital

Tony reveals that he won’t break up with Steve and that he has been building up his own assets so that he won’t have nothing even if Howard threatens to disown him

pretty sure there’s a reconciliation scene with the Starks and there’s apologies and Tony tells Howard that he’s going to undergo treatment and live as long as he can because now that they’ve gotten this far he’s not dying and getting away that easily

I think Tony agrees to work at the company?

I remember a lot of drama surrounding Steve and his status in society and his being sick

there is a happy ending and Steve doesn’t die

Drarry Fic Search

I have no idea whether this fic still exists or if it’s was some kind of hallucination but that would discredit the author in the event that it turns out that I’m just a dumbass who can’t remember enough details to find it myself. 

On to what I remember:

I’m pretty sure it’s a Post War fic

Harry isn’t doing so well (struggling after the war) and I think he’s holing himself up in Grimmauld Place

Harry either has panic attacks/anxiety attacks/bad flashbacks (I’m so sorry, I can’t really remember the specifics and I know that there are distinctions between these different manifestations of mental health issues)

Draco is also having some similar struggles (I think?)

at some point they both end up in a secret relationship (secret meetings in Grimmauld at this point?? I’m not sure) and help each other through their attacks

Draco and Harry confide in each other/get to know each other

but then eventually they get found out, maybe it was by Ron and Hermione

and they tell Draco to stay away or it’s a combination of them being protective of Harry and Draco thinking poorly of himself in comparison to Harry (he can do better or something?? or was it a fight????!!?!?)

eventually it’s just Harry in the house by himself and before Draco came along he never asked anyone for help because he didn’t want to burden anyone nor let anyone see him so vulnerable (he’s been reclusive)

but Draco has stayed away (I think he remembers Draco reassuring him that Harry can ask for help from others and most definitely his friends and family) and he manages to call for Ron and Hermione (house elf? Patronus? Floo call? emergency communication device?) and they rush to him because he’s been keeping to himself and staying away

when they get to the room I think he asks them for help or tells them that he’s not okay/well or something like that and they have a group hug on the floor where he’s huddled into himself (crying/shaking/hyperventilating)

but again, Draco was really helping Harry, and it gets to a point where things are really bad and Ron and Hermione conclude that Harry NEEDS Draco to come and help him

I think it was Ron?? maybe, who went looking for Draco (Hermione stayed with Harry?) and basically says that Harry needs Draco’s help

and when Draco and Harry are reunited, Ron and Hermione see how much Draco and Harry care for and comfort each other

how much Draco really means to Harry and how much he helps Harry

Please, please, please, does anyone know this fic?

I figure a first post for any blog is a rite of passage of sorts. So, here is this one.
