I don’t know what I love more, the barely concealed incredulity from L or the barely contained insincerity from Light… and then poor Matsuda’s there in the middle of this bullshit storm being unbridled enthusiasm itself lol

Takenaka in Mogami Land a.k.a the thrilling saga of Mogami’s piss poor attempt at weaponizing subconscious thoughts. Mogami, speaking in the form of a moth: “Life is meaningless. You will never escape the confines of this unfair social hierarchy unless you punish those who stand on top.” Takenaka, thinking to himself: damn… these bugs and insects sure are depressed.

honestly the way ONE brought takenaka back into the story and revealed that he was a telepath will always be so cool to me. this kid existed for like one scene in the very beginning and he was only used as a plot point in getting the telepathy club disbanded. ONE could’ve easily made up a new character or even have made the shiratori brothers (or even the kageyama brothers) learn something new with their abilities as a “esper level up!” thing but instead he chose to bring back a familiar face to the telepathy club and give him sudden character development and a backstory and it works. what im trying to say is that slamming his hand down on the table and saying “quit it with that noise already” minutes after he arrived and after nobody suspected a thing from him was probably the most unexpected and still the best way to reveal someone as an esper.
anyways the alien arc is very good and important that’s all

Important lessons I learned from Mob Psycho 100:
Having breakdowns does not detract from the fact you're a mentally strong person. You are not weak for feeling emotions strongly.
You do not need to have your shit together in order to make a difference in someone else's life. Simply being a good person can and will foster hope in people. Often you might not even be aware of how important and comforting your presence and words were to another person. Everyone's existence matters.

This is me projecting but I find it fascinating how Shou never attempted to dissociate himself with his familial ties nor ignore his dad's presence. Touichirou is fucked up, negligent, abusive, and still HIS dad. Shou is always reminded of this fact and Shou doesn't try to reject it. It's not like Shou is obligated to acknowledge Touichirou. The reverse is true, Shou is a very rebellious teen. He's not loyal to his dad whatsoever. Suzuki Touichirou, Mr. "I planned on letting my son inherit the world," is the only one who believes grandiose shit like blood allegiance. Shou does strive to overthrow his dad's silly pipedream, but he's not driven by sheer spite or revenge or concern for the world's future. Shou's motivations are more grounded and personal. Shou's rebellion is rooted in his deep desire to receive mutual acknowledgment from his only family. True acknowledgment linked with respecting boundaries and needs and admitting faults and wrongdoings (not just to Shou but to his mother as well!).

how sweet of cioccolata to make time for phone sex while he’s chillin on a helicopter floor like a slug with his spinal cord out and in the middle of getting ambushed by a 500 IQ teenager
