Daily Dose of Deku (Day 25)

Gosh it’s been a while! XD So um, I’ve been wanting to talk about a certain thing for a while!! Just never gotten around to doing so! My bad!😅

Anyway!!!

So I’m not sure if Miyo, or me, have talked about this before, but eh, doesn’t matter! XD I wanna talk about it anyway! Cuz it’s something easily over looked! It really deserves to be acknowledged and admired!

So after Bakugo told him to jump off a building, Izuku is outside gathering his book and starts to grumble about Bakugo. Saying how he shouldn’t be saying things like that! And “what if I did, what would he do then?”!!

Afterwards, Izuku starts walking off, and once he gets closer to the tunnel, he starts pipping himself up! He claims to keep trying his best! He was planning on continuing to fight to become what he wants! To save others!!! This boy!!! He’s been treated like this for so so long, yet!

Yet!!!

He continues to move forward!! No matter what was said to him!!! He kept moving, and he continued to move even after all that!!

And now look at him!!!!! ....Welll.....maybe not nowww...but ya know what I mean?! XD He’s come so far, and he’ll only continue to go further! Climbing over every trial that he meets! And in the manga, he’s gonna eventually learn that leaning on others is a good thing, and isn’t a burden! X3 I hope you know that too! That leaning on others isn’t a bad thing! Not one bit! ❤️

Izuku is such a strong willed and determined boy!

I love him so much!!!

He’s the literal definition of “never give up”!

So if you feel like you want to give up, that no matter what you do, you’ll just keep falling!

DON’T GIVE UP! No matter what! Just don’t!! Find new ways to do things! Learn from your mistakes!! Take life one step at a time!

Yeah he’s just an anime character, but that doesn’t mean what was shown there wasn’t encouraging!

He kept moving! He’s fallen so many times!! But he continued forward!!

As long as you get up again, you’ll continue to go somewhere! You’ll grow stronger!

And it’s okay to fall apart and cry!! Letting it out is healthy!

Just don’t allow yourself to stay down!

Allow others to help you!

It’s okay to ask for help! It really is!!!

You got this!!!

Ik this was suppose to be about Izuku, and it is! But I just felt like I needed to say that! So plz! Never give up hope! Always get back up again! And if you don’t think you can stand on your own, ask for help, someone is bound to help! You just need to ask and reach your hand out!❤️

Daily Dose of Deku (Day 24)

👏DEKU’S CRYING IS VAILD!👏

Ik I’ve made a post talking about this before, but I want to go more in depth with this! Explain why his crying makes sense! Why it makes his character more real compared to many MCs we’ve grown to also love.

First off, I’ve never been actually bullied before. I have had my fair share of being picked on and etc, but never had one that physically hurt me, or sent me mentally over the edge. So I can’t exactly say all of what I’ll be mentioning will be right or not, but I’m pretty sure it’s close to accuracy. So let me know if I need to ever delete this post or fix something! (Also, Ik everyone deals with being bullied differently.)

Anyway! So I’m pretty sure being bullied for so long as he was, can cause you to become pretty emotional. You guys have to remember that he’s gone through so much in the past already, it makes sense that he’s emotional.

This boy wanted to have powers so badly! He wanted to be like his inspiration! But it was all ruinded the day he got told that it was “Not going to happen” (Something like that, I watch dub). So that was already a big strike to the heart!

Next we have his mom trying her best to comfort him, but the words he wanted to hear weren’t there. Weren’t being said. They were never said until he met AM. Which that took a while to hear from even him.

So being bullied in the heap of his mom not sayings those words he wanted to hear (not her fault or anything, she did her best), and having to be turned down by his #1 hero the first moment he met AM. It makes sense for all those things to boil down and cause him to be as emotional as he is.

He’s not a crybaby, he’s just really emotional. It makes so much sense to why! This was his life, guys. You can’t just see his past, and see the things he went through and say “He’s such a crybaby.”! You can’t do that! Well you can, but you shouldn’t do that! This boy has gone through a lot!!! He still is!! Don’t forget that either! He’s still going through craziness!

So now he’s finally heard those words, he’s finally able to become a hero! So does that mean he’ll stop crying now?! NO! FOR THE LOVE OF— NO!

Being told those words, made him emotional becuz it was everything he wanted to hear! That sliver of hope that was given to him! Plus, the moment was most likely overwhelming for him! It was like a dream. Many dreams he’s probably had, but gave up on coming true. But it’s there! In front of him!! And he took it!

As for the comedic cries, I get that they are only to be seen as funny, but let me point out that even in those moments, that still leads to reason!!! The moment where he goes “But I thought you said I was worthy?!” This boy is insecure! Don’t forget that! Hearing AM saying that he wasn’t ready for his power, caused him to worry! Thus bringing tears! It makes sense to me!! I’d cry too! Even so, the tears here were used as comedic.

As for the other two comedic tears! When Ocha came up to him to be his teammate, he was so relieved and happy!! He’s never really had friends!! Nonetheless, someone who shows care for him (other then his mom)!! Plus, again, he’s so insecure about himself!!! He doubted anyone would want to join becuz he didn’t show his powers yet, and as he said, “no one has any faith in me!” Now for the last comedic one that I can remember, is after Tokoyami got the points the needed, and they barley passed through that round! That was overwhelming joy!!! Relief again!!

GUYS, IT ALL MAKES SENSE! If you just think about why he is crying!! You’d understand!!!! Even in the comedic moments it’s understandable!!!!!

👏CRYING IS HEATHLY AND VAILD!👏

This boy in no crybaby!!!!!! He’s just emotional and it’s so so understandable!

He’s more real then any MC character I’ve known so far!

So if I see another person hating on this boy becuz he’s emotional, I’m gonna lose it! I won’t attack! I can assure you tho, that I’ll be internally screeching! XD

Yes you have your opinion, and I have mine, but that doesn’t mean I can’t be salty and internally scream to myself. (Tho most likely all of you reading this appreciate this boy as much as me and Miyo do! XD So I doubt anyone that doesn’t like him, will see this.😅)

Daily Dose of Deku (Day 23): Dreams and reality

Let’s get a bit personal. Just a bit.

Hi, hi! It’s been a while and I’m sorry cause after that birthday art, I really wanted to write an essay about Izuku for his special day (which was 16 days ago on the day of this posting) but work got super busy and I got too overwhelmed to come back here. So here’s a bit of a late tribute but sorta a bit personal take on our precious cinnamon roll.

All of us have various reasons to love this king. And to be honest, for me, it’s really easy to fall in love with a character. But I have to say, Midoriya Izuku is just different.

There are a lot of characters out there who have a sob story, a dark past, a stubborn heart, or well, a good mix of cuteness and badassery. But how come Izuku remains special?

For me, I wanna think that Hori’s creation of Izuku is a bit close to reality even if it’s a fictional and fantasy story of a superpowered society.

Izuku didn’t get his parents killed by villains. He isn’t an orphan (even if we don’t have much info about Hisashi, everything else about his father will remain a theory right now). He isn’t a super rich kid who’s spoiled and needs to learn a lesson. He isn’t a brat who doesn’t understand respect and has to be pulled down to the ground. He isn’t an immortal who’s meant to be left alone by all the people he’d love one day.

Thing is, Izuku just has one dream and he’s dreaming of the impossible. It’s something slapped to his face as early as 4 years old, an age where most of us still believe being carried by our parents is synonymous to being able to fly.

That in itself translates so much to reality already. Maybe, at one point, we all dreamed of something impossible. And just the act of dreaming, trying our best, even if we know that it’s not happening (or maybe a part of us did believe it would), we just want to get lost in the moment of dreaming. Then somehow, we don’t get the support that we need. I’m not speaking for everyone because there are people who have the best support systems in the world (and I’m grateful to have received that as well), but there are days that we want to aim for things and we don’t get everyone’s nods.

And Izuku lived that life for how many years. He’s Quirkless but he continued to be fueled by his admiration anyway. It’s not that he “didn’t care” by what people told him. You can see how emotional he is whenever he was mocked for just dreaming. That was enough to touch me already. He isn’t someone who pretended to be tough just because he wanted to be tough. He was dreaming but his feet were on the ground.

He continues to be amazing as he moves forward. Without big spoilers, the current manga arc is still about the students not landing on their 2nd year. But in that span of time, he has grown so much and a lot of things have already happened. But he still isn’t the most powerful. Time has been passing so slow in their universe and a lot of people get impatient by that and by his progress, but don’t you think it’s wonderful to see and feel the journey of someone who started at the bottom? And it happens slowly in the physical aspect as well. He got muscular after the training with All Might but you can compare his built back then to now and you can see how more training has been developing his physique. Even his costume! We get to see upgrades here and there.

It’s the small bits that makes Izuku a really lovable character. You really get to walk with him in his journey to be the “greatest hero.” And he doesn’t always win. He’s had so many failures even if he’s the MC. He has so many regrets. And he keeps on getting tougher.

The best thing? His growth is affecting the people around him. Not only his childhood friend, his classmates, but even his teachers and the villains.

Remember, it all started with a Quirkless boy dreaming and being true to himself.

And maybe, a lot of us want that too. To be able to inspire people around us by just continuing to be ourselves.

Izuku may be a fictional character but he has influenced me as a person “in the real world.”

Oh, Boku no Hero Academia, where will I be without you? Happy 6th anniversary! I know Hori won’t read this but I hope he knows that his story has touched lives and has kept many hearts beating. I know I’m one of those.

A bit emotional? I’m a new fan. Just one year ago but BNHA was something that saved me from so many things. I honestly dunno where I’d be now without it. I hope Hori gets to tell the story that he wants to! <3
