The fact that Jacks thinks that he knows how things are gonna go for him and Eva is so sad and still funny.

He believes they’re going to be sad forever and apart. But then he uses the stones and he admits (more for himself than for us lol) that there’s nothing of equal value for him like Evangeline and her life, so i think that he believes there’s a way of being with her eventually.

I can’t wait until i read some POV of Jacks on ACFTL and see the way he sees her and how he feels for her and how he’s gonna feel sad and heartbroken 💔 like the Prince Of Broken Hearts that he is when Eva dosen’t remember him.

i’m always shocked that jacks had the power to keep his supposed true love, which he’s been looking for decades, but gives it up to save eva’s life. 

i don’t know if everyone understands the magnitude of this act; jacks is a fate, and he is very old. he is constantly being tempted to kiss people to death until he finds the person who is right for him. he is desperate to lift his curse. he is obsessed with the idea of finding his true love.

but he gave up all that. he gave it all up for a girl with pink hair and blind faith in humanity. there is even a passage from eva talking about how much she wanted him to choose her, and he chooses her (even if she doesn’t know it.)

and i will be very emotional reading acftl as he will continue to choose eva again and again. he will fight for her heart because he broke when she died (in the author’s own words), because he is jealous of her all the time, because he always wants to touch her, because he loves her. i highly doubt he’ll know she’s his “true love” right away. we’ll just have one jacks fighting to save eva, just because he loves her. 🥹❤️
