God there's something about the idea that Hector was wearing Achilles's old armor when he faced him to die. when Achilles saw Hector he saw a mirror of himself, and he knew exactly where to aim

Okay hot take I guess, but I don't think the last stand invalidated any of the hard work The Bad Kids put into school work junior year.
Brennan said the reason they had those two "free passes" on exam questions was because Gorgug earned it through his studying. Mechanically yes, they work as free passes, but storyline-wise Brennan said they represent "academic resources," which The Bad Kids wouldn't have access to unless they had studied so hard.

🤝 on enjoying murphy’s knack for crafting unique encounters—is there any one in particular you’d rank above the rest, be it for pure entertainment value and/or great mechanics?
I'm not sure if you're caught up to the current campaign - I haven't listened to today's episode but otherwise I am - but the Feywild fight in the first campaign where Beverly first learns about his father's betrayal is one of my favorite D&D combats ever, for both the incapacitation due to RP revelations, and . The current arc of the current campaign is also just...fight after fight of this.
I joked in my tags but, as someone who doesn't follow pro wrestling at all but did very much enjoy two seasons of GLOW (never got around to S3 and I've since canceled Netflix but I would have watched it if I'd remembered before canceling) I wonder if Murph's wrestling fandom is why he's so good at this; he understands that combat can be story. (He's also never made a true clunker of a villain which most other DMs have and I also wonder if this is all connected).

As it is Passover again, it is time for the annual debate as to whether the frog plague, which thanks to a quirk in the Hebrew, is written as a plague of frog, singular, rather than the plural, plague of frogs, was in fact, as generally imagined, a plague of many frogs, or instead a singular giant Kaiju frog. This is an ancient and venerable argument that actually goes back to the Talmud because this is what the Jewish people are. If we can't argue for fun about this sort of thing, what are we even doing.
In that spirit, I would like to submit a third possibility, which is that in fact it was one perfectly normal sized frog, who was absolutely acing Untitled Frog Game: Ancient Egypt Edition. One particularly obnoxious frog, who through sheer hard work, managed to plague all of Egypt.
