I accidentally disappeared but I decided to be back here because instagrams algorithm is simply atrocious and sometimes girls just need attention (i am girls)

today I:

- got my exam grades back 🥲 I failed three out of five exams

- planned a few feedback sessions for those exams

- got train tickets for a trip to antwerp soon! going to see Nothing More it's so exciting but I'm also scared because I've never been to a concert before, and I'm going alone

- caught up on greek from last semester

I can't believe it's actually december already tf

today I:

- skipped my classes 🤭 I woke up annoyed and just went back to sleep. in my defense, it was freezing and my chronic pain gets worse when it's cold so it's basically just self care

- organised my notes on Lysias

- practised greek verbs for 30 minutes (I don't do this every day like I thought I would, but hey sometimes I do)

- took notes on greek literary history

- tried to read something in German! I just want to practise reading in German again because apparently it's an important language in classics, with a lot of research being done in that language. tbh it went quite well!

- did my daily Latin + Greek vocab

- went to this group reading session at my uni on latin poetry. I did not know there would be two of my professors joining so that felt kind of awkward. All the other ppl were phd students (I'm a first year bachelors student). I couldn't really join the conversation because everyone knew and understood things that I didn't

- had my first meeting with a psychologist about my ed relapse. I am tired

- finished reading babel. the ending killed me.

- tried to do some greek linguistics but tbh I have no focus in me so I'm just going to bed

saturday is cafe day 🤭 I go to the same cafe every time because apparently I'm autistic

today I:

- watched a european lit lecture in the cafe

- translated a little bit of Lysias ("on the murder of Eratosthenes") (the translation pictured in the notebook isn't mine though, I like to use the translation from the loeb edition to study the text bc I don't trust myself to have a good translation)

- read a few pages from How To Be a Renaissance Woman by Jill Burke

- started reading Hippolytus by Euripides for my greek literature class

- did my daily latin + greek vocab

For some reason I did not take any photos today 😔

today was kinda weird tbh, I had a linguistics lecture in the morning which went pretty well but when I went home after that I randomly almost had a meltdown?? I don't know why

the rest of the day I felt a bit weird but I'm autistic so I couldn't tell you *what* I felt

anyway, today I:

- had a general linguistics lecture

- did most of my reading for european literature - that sounds like I'm doing well however this is actually what I was supposed to do a week ago, I'm chronically playing catch up

- had a greek literary history lecture which was quite fun! I almost didn't go because of said almost-meltdown but I'm glad I went

- studied latin + greek vocab

I had a pretty good day! it wasn't even *that* productive if I think about it but the vibes were better than yesterday ✨

today I:

- did my morphology homework

- read through chapter 13 of general linguistics (I still need to take notes on this chapter but I'll do that later this week)

- did my daily 30 minutes of greek verbs - it's still a lot but I feel like I'm finally getting the hang of it

- read some things online about egyptian demotic just for funsies

- read a lot of Babel! I'm obsessed with this book

- had a Latin linguistics lecture, I did go home early but at least I tried

- studied greek & latin vocab. I have a latin vocab test on friday, I definitely do not know everything yet, but I'm sure it'll be fine

the mood swings are real because one moment I'll be like "I can't believe I'm studying classics this is a dream!!" and an hour later I'm questioning my entire existence

anyway today I:

- reviewed the translation of a letter of pliny the younger (this was when I was feeling so optimistic. it wasn't a difficult text at all)

- translated a bit of seneca's apocolocyntosis (idk if I spelled that right, can't be bothered to check) (this was a bit harder)

- read a bit from Babel

- did 30 minutes of greek verbs and decided to do that every day because boy this is never ending

- went on the shortest walk ever (photo for proof because ik it's unheard of)

- did a bit of greek literary history

- I'm looking at my planning for today and apparently I did some Latin linguistics? can't remember that though

- did a ton of vocab! I have a latin vocab test next week and it’s a lot 🫡

I did feel a bit better today compared to yesterday though chronic pain is still being a bitch and I didn't have the money to do my usual saturday cafe trip (my fault for buying a book earlier this week, I knew I couldn't actually afford it 😭)

today I:

- watched the recording of the greek lecture that I missed yesterday

- read quite a bit of Babel

- continued going through the chapter on the aorist in greek (why is this chapter so long)

- did like two hours of greek literary history but didn't actually make a lot of progress..

- did my anki reviews for latin + greek

I didn't have a great day, got pretty stressed because I am always behind on things and idk how I'm ever going to catch up on things ✨

today I:

- had a general linguistics lecture and asked the professor a question (I'm mentioning this bc I'm bad at asking questions and I'm proud of myself for asking a question this time)

- studied linguistics for about an hour at the library

- did a little bit of greek linguistics, started on the chapter on the aorist

- started catching up on my reading for european lit but let's be honest I could've made way more progress today

- actually did ALL of my anki reviews

I spent the better part of the day out in the city centre and studied some european literature at a cafe, also went to a few bookshops and got this new book about greek cults!! which is such an interesting topic I love it

I also:

- had a latin linguistics lecture which was a bit overwhelming but I survived and didn't go home early this time!!

- studied some general linguistics, did a phonology exercise (I absolutely hate phonology tbh) and started reading the chapter on sign languages!

- did my daily vocab in the evening, except I did not finish my anki reviews because it's a lot and for some reason I never start doing my anki at a reasonable time
