I rather liked my day today.

The days started out thati was able to pack leftover Lentil Curry, Yellow Rice and Handmade Naan Bread for lunch (usually there aren't lef lovers as I make jsut enoguh for everyone to get full up. Butni made extra for the reason).

Between driving on campus and reporting for class, I was able to start, and neatly finish, a novel. I was able to truly finish it on the busride home.

I'm Chem, we learned, I detail, hownto tell if a chemical reaction has electrolytes I nit, whether they were strong or weak, and whether the acids and bases in a formula were strong or weak. We are also lectured on hiwnto creat ionic and net ionic formulas using the balanced molecular formula. Chem was fast-pased and busy today. I ended du running goutnofntine to do my worksheets, so they ended up pas homework for the first time in almost the whole semester.

In EDUC 100, we had to turn in and present our artifact of teaching assignment. I turned mine in way back on the first if the month, so I just had to present it. Dr Durham had set u pgrouso ahead of time to avoid peole taking abohtbthe same book or movie in the same group. There were supposed to be 5 groups of 3. But, the two people who were absent just so happened to be the two I was suppose to pair with. So, I was added to antihero group of 3, to make the only group if 4.

The group were ment to tlae 3minturs to share eith each other. But, when online was left (due to being g the only 4th mmebr of a group) Dr. Durham had me stnad u and present those rhe whole class I steady of just my little group. She made it seem lime she was asking me if I wanted to. But, since 10 points come from oral presentation, there really wasn't a choice.

A shuddered and fell over my words the whole time, makignit seem like I didn't prepare. So, I won't be surprised if my 100% I nthat class drops majorly thanks to this assignment.

After class, there were free goodies I nthe hallway. A woman literally stopped us from leaving g to offer us some. After the failure that was my presentation, I wasn't about to even attempt to skip out on some goodies

Today in Chem, we had a lab focused on Concentration and Consuctivity. We combined a diluted acid and a diluted base in varying abouts to try and see at that concentration the cost ductivity of the mixture 'calmed'. We also discovered that mixing an acid and a base (if they are both strong) crested H2O and an aqueous salt(slat dissolved in a solution, usually water). We also leaned that a salt isn't always table salt. It is any ionic compound that contains sodium.

After class, and returning home, I had to pick out a change of clothes fornthbgirls so we wouldn't have to return home. Once we got them from the parnet pickup line, we changed them in the car and we went back up to where my college is. But, this time, we went to the other side of town.

We let them play at the park for an hour, until a kid started screaming and trying to push past everyone. Then, we drove around a while to kill time before what we were planning was open.

Our oldest had a piece of artwork chosen for the art show, so, as soon as the art show opened at 5, we were there. Once we found the artwork she tried so hard on, we were appalled to discover they had spelled her name wrong on the nameplate.

After that disappointing revolution, she stared to tear up. We got outnof there quickly, tiallty ignoring the other artwork on display in favor of calming our child down.

We went to a diner for support and ended up spending less on the meals than we would have at the store on ingredients. So, we were able to budget some sweeties into the bill, and each daughter walked away with a brown paper lunch sack half full with penny candy.

Since it was a weekend, and since they didn't get much free time this week, we let them stay up until 930 instead of 9. It's only a half hour, but they acted like we had promised then the moon. So, I think it was worth it.

I had to switch uo my entire routine today due to my two classes that didn't meet. Bit, at least I didn't have to wake up at 6 to get ready. I got to sleep in until 7 (when I wake up on MWF) and took my time getting myself and the girls ready.

I got to join in with dropping the girls at school (once again, normal only on MWF) and then we went for coffee before returning home. Once at home, I gathered my things and walked up the street (less than a quarter mile) to the busstop i take on MWF.

I got to campusnand had about an hour to kill, so I went to the library and printed off some work, a few pages of coloring stuff and some worksheets to do with the girls ove the weekend.

In EDUC 202, we finished the behaviorist unit (as promised) and we're done over a half hour early. I spent this extra time waiting on the early route (picks up around 1) at the library. I wa abke.to get new books, chat up the librarian, sign up fornthe ready logs, and wlak back to my bus stop while still having 20 minutes to spare.

Behind I had already set the slow cooker with dinner I nit, I was bored outta my mind when I got home from class. Ifnit wasn't for my husband's quick thinking, I wouldn't become cranky. He suggested a movie night since I had no unfinished assignments. I was quick to set that up, and we watched 2 movies by the time bathtime rolled around. We even ate while watching. So, It was a nice treat.

Once the girls were asleep, mommy and daddy had some 'alone time' for the first time since the semester started.

My mood wasn't due to class at all. I actually quite enjoyed it. We worked even more on balancing equations and even started to learn how to combine the reactents to find the products. Chem lecture as a blast now nthat Jada was back. We always Bouvet ideas and answers off of one another before wring them doen or calling them out (Dr Gares would rather we yell out than shebhave to pick a single person to call on)

The hot weather in my area gave way to a downpour of rain and winds so string that I had to hold my jacket onto myslef. Add that to the fact that the Gold Line was late due to going over for lunch break (I know because the busses have tracking and the bus haven't even started mice til t minutes after it was already suppose dto pick me up) I was soaked to the bone by the time I got onto the bus. To add insult to injury, the AC was on

Today was very busy for the first two classes, but it honestly felt lime.my last class was a 'free day' since all we did was reread the chapter.

In EC Foundations- the above 'materials project' was due. We had to write a paper about the materials we would use for difdernect lessons in the classroom with an age of children we picked. Then we had to gather and present those materials to the class. We were told we had 10 minutes to present and to try our best to 'fell out' the ten minutes. I am happy to anouch that I got the closest (and therefore got the extra 2 pints added to my grade) at 9 unites and 56 seconds.

Dr B Rolston us she would be giving us each an excused absence Thursday due to it being g.entla health awareness week. So, once again, we won't have class. I can't remeber the last time 2 weeks has gone by where I had every class meet each time it was menat to, with no substitute or online class.

In EDUC 202, we turned in our Cog itinerary Observation Essays and were then introduced to the beginning of our (admittedly short) behaviorism unit. Dr E even gave us our observation page for the end of the until, told us we would finish the unit by Thursday, and scheduled our school visit for next Thursday during class time.

As mentioned at the top, Dr. B only had us read the chapter aloud (popcorn reading) for the enture class. Then, obviously, Dr B gave this afternoon class a mental health day as well.

Tacos for supper before the girls softball practice. My youngest didn't even want to be out there due to how hot it was. So, she was a whiney mess the whole time.

After practice, my mother in law bough moni pizzas from the takeaway across the street for the girls so they could 'grt their energy back'.

Mint chip ice cream for pudding and bubble bath hair night made the girls right as rain for the night. I did some studying and completely a few assignments that were basically 'gimme' scores. (You get 100 so long as you answer every part of the questions) The gimme assignments were a lot of moral questions for Dr. B's class. Sisnc ei have her twice in the same day, I can't remeber which class. Which is why I put it down here at the bottom.

Today in chem, we learned about how to balance chemical equations. It was all pretty straight forward, except for the fact that polyatomics have to stay together. Otherntjan that, you beark up the 'sides' of the equation (reactants and products) into the elements and make sure that none are deleted or added. You do multiplication out in front of the individual compounds to make sure that the sides have an even amount of each element/polyatomic.

In EDUC 100, we had a visit from the office of international education .they were talking all about the foreign exchange options offered their the school as well as through sponcered trips. I felt very left out during this presentation because, with 2 ytoyng daughters, I felt like I was being forced to listen to something g that did t pertain to me. I actually left the class for a few minutes to collect myself since either just flet like I was being graded on my ability to pay att etik nto something I, honestly, dodnt even want to hear about.

The 'dean of international studies' even had a student who recently returned form Ireland there talkig all about how much fun hse had...and how everyone shoukf experience it at least once. By the time class was let out (almsot 10 minutes late) I was feeling g more lousy than I think I've ever felt before.

Dinner was a quick one-two punch of boneless wings and waffle fries in the airfryer. With a side salad of course.

I read some more of my 'Front of the Class' book after grtog the girls settled for the night and then went to bed

As us usual, I got to campus at exactly 948. Wlaiing into the science building within the minute (thanks gold line for literally foing out of you way to drop me as close as possible.

This drop off was necessary because I had a bag of books I needed to return to the library on campus. So, as soon as I dropped my backpack on my usual bench outside of the lab room, I took the drawstring bag (stuffed full life booksni had finished over the past 2 and a half weeks) and mad emy way across campus to the library.

I am lucky enoguh to go to a small-town university. No one bugs yoyr stuff unless it's an emergency, or you ask them to go fetch it for you. So, I hadnt a si gle worry leaving g my iPad in my backpack as a walked away from it

Lab class today was focused on relating concentration to light absorbance. It was a fun, but very sad lab. With my lab partner, Jada, back home to celebrate Eid with her family, I had to be put into another group for the lab. I had barely talked to these girls before today, and I was a shy idiot the whole time. Too afraid to say the wrong thing so I didn't say anything

After joining my husband to go grt the girls from school, we took them to the park to play. They were the only kids there. Above, you will see what they occupied themselves doing. The 'flowers' were given to their daddy, and he kept them in a Dixie cup until they went to bed. Only then taking them outside and tossing them into the wood behind our home

After dinner, bedtime, and a steaming g hit shower, I sat down and finished these mittens. They are the first set I've made for this year's Christmas gifts. I had to start so soon because I have a BIG family.

Today made me so tired, I can't believe I actually made it through.

As is normal for Tuesdays and Thursdays, I had to catch the 8am bus at the spot across town. I walked today agoan due to another 'personal misunderstanding' with my mother in law. I didn't let my husband take me due to him having a late start to his own morning. Due to this delay, I had to make sure the girls ate soen breakfast instead of simply getting them ready for school, while my husband served up their morning meal.

The walk to the bus stop down town is about a mile and a quarter. It's all downhill, so the sheer amounts of stuff I had to lugg wasn't as bad as it would've been if I had to go uphill.

The gold line ended up running late on its route and I had to rush to get my finished assignments printed in time to get to my morning class.

During my morni g class, we used the information from recent lectures to have an open-forum discussion about how to create a culturally appropriate classroom.

Dr B let me store my belongings I nher storage room and I was allowed to leave five minutes early to be abek to make it up the hill to the school for my observation for Dr. E's class. We were all running between the three open-air classrooms for a half hour, trying to find as many examples of cognitive views of learning as possible. After out half-hour was up, we had a debreifni nthe atrium of the school and were told our written reflection was due by the beginning of class on Tuesday, submitted electronically.

In my 1230, I had to spend the first ten minutes eating my lunch since I ran out of time after walking back to campus. Then, Dr. B gave us the option to finalize our diversity projects. They had to be do e in clas but, we were allowed to use whatever materials we liked and sit where we wanted. I ended up sitting o nthe floor, tangled u plume a pretzel. Shown above is my best attempt at my own diverse classroom.

The gild.line ended up being 10 minutes late picking me up. I wouldn't have minde dif it weren't raining gso hard. The raindrops actually hurt when they hit my coat. And the wind made my umbrella go the wrong direction (it was actually quite funny looking back, like a scene from a cartoon 😅.

By the tien I was dropped off at the mall, where I found to transfer to rhe green line, I was there for less than five minutes until the green came to get me.

As soon as I got in the door, the girls were acting like they hadn't seen me all year. They were hanging al lover me and begging to do something together. I took them outside and helped them practice their softball whike Donner was in the oven. Then, I watched ove them as they played I nthe front garden once more, for about an hour, after they ate.

Chem Class today was a bit odd as we merely reviewed what we learned on Wednesday and then dod some more worksheets. Class was quick and easy and we were done a full twenty minutes early compared to normal.

I was able to walk to the public library, return some books I borrowed, and stil make it back to the bus stop with enough time to relax and watch some crash course videos on my phone (I supliment what I learn in class eith the corresponding video to make sure I understand the material each day)

Beef roast and smashed red potatoes for supper. I made three differnet veggies fornthe family to choose from (asparagus, corn on the cob, and kale)

Bathtime was lied an Olympic sport tonight. By the end I was soaked and there was soapy water all over every surface of the bathroom, all cause I had to wash the girls' hair.

Had to do two loads of laundry today as my bedsheets were due for a cleaning. Other than that, I just worked on my materials project thatis due next Tuesday in ECED 293 (EC Learning environment, methods, and materials).

Today was a busy, draining day. First, I woke up over 20 minutes later than I usually do. This made me have to rush throguh my morning routine and miss the operunity for my mother in law to drive me to the bus stop. I had to get taken by my husband because he refused to let me walk that far on my own.

This hectic morning was all due to me working all night to edit an assignment worth over 80 points for my EC materials class. We had to chose an age (from zero to five) and select real concrete materials that could be used to foster their development in each of the seven categories Dr. B gave us. We then had to bring them in and present them while dressed professionally.

When I got to class, sweating under all my dress clothes, I discovered that tit wasn't even due today, but instead, next Tuesday. Dr. B apologized for posting the wrong due date.

In 202, Dr. E gave us our paper for Thursday, where we have to take notes while observing the local school. She also told us that, instead of being assigned a classroom and sticking to it, we will be rotating between all THREE fourth grade classrooms in the thirty Minnie's the school has allowed us in. I don't think thirty minutes would be enough to properly observe o e classroom. But three?

I ended up eating my lunch in the EC Foundations classroom today since there weren't any seats out in the hall. By the time class started, I was done and only had my soda left. I drank that while taking notes on the end of the diversity and inclusion chapter we had been working on.

On the way home, I got a pa icked call from my husband that he was worried I hadn't made it home at the 'normal' time. I had to gently remind him that Tuesdays and throdaus are my long days. I don't get hone til almost 4

The girls' softball practice went well tonight. They are doing so well that they are allowed to 'go live' now. Going live is when the coach pitches the ball to them at a regular speed instead of them batting off the tee or him pitching slow.

Taco Tuesdays have officually been restarted at my house. So al lthe fixings were made before practice and either kept cold (if they needed) or keeping a lid on them on the stove.

Today in chemistry we were taken to tackle the entire notes for chapter 6 all at once. E learned all about solutions. Salutes, solvents and solubility will be the focus of this week's lab class.

In Intro to education, we were visited by the lead of thenstudy abroad program nad she told us al about the opportunity we have as education majors to se how different countries view education. I spent almsot the entire time feeling and for myslef since I would never be able to do an entire semester (or two whoever semsters) in a different country while my girls are here at home.

It was at the end of the presentation that they mentioned the fact that there are some as short at 10days where you can go and get the experience without missing a whole semester if life here. I'm goign to being it up to my husband and, with luck, we can do it wher either am doing my study abroad and theu can do a week-ish long trip to that same country.... that way we can all experience it and I'll get my credit. Plus, It would look great on my resume in future.

I want abelnto eat lunch today becoas the two coffees I had to try and wake up made me not hungry. My Dr. Is going to be pissed that I've skipped two meals I ntje last 2 weeks. (He is concerned about my calorie intake since starting uni. Says it is too fluid to be considered safe)

I was unablento get a good picture ofnthe eclipse today, despite having a near-perfect view of it whike o nthe busriflde home.

Currently working on plating a dinner of ove. Roasted turkey breast, potato mash, gravy, greene beans, and applesauce. Pudding is resting so I can ice the cake once it's cool

3rd lecture fornthe week today.

I also got my registered classes for.next semester approved so I knwo what I'll be taking as well a the professors and meet times. I will be posting that at some point during the week of the eigth.

Today in class I got Dr. Gares the pin you see pictured above since ei didn't like it when I got it given to me. She loved it tho, as well as my cheese Chemistry jokes. We learned about the Geometry of molecules (how they are shaped and why) we also tried our hand at using the Lewis structures of a molecule to calculate the geometries.

Today's the day: my Cognitive choice board is due in Educ 202!!!!! I'm so proud of it and hoped everyone else would be too. Pictured about is the 'intro' to the game that ti wrote to sound 'oldtimey'

I had to walk to the other side of town to catch the 8AM busbtha ti usually get a ride to catch. My mother in law was mad at me for 'talking back' to her after she called me lazy and told me to get off my lazy ass to get my oldest a snack afte right told my oldest she couldn't have a snack last night because she didn't eat her supper. So, a long walk and the aching feet that followed persisted the entire morning until after I finally got to get off them to eat my lunch

In EC learning environment, we talked so e more about culture (likes we did last Thursday when she pushed the exam). We also were assigned a materials assignment where we have to pick three materials for our hypothetical classroom and explain why we picked them (using the guidelines and criteria we learned din class as our reasons) we then have to either buy those materials and bring them in or print out pictures of the product's packaging to present.

In Educ 202, we had to bring in our choice board selections and either present Tham or play them (depending on the choice we made). I did a board game, as did one other classmate. Then five different people did electronic review games. The rest did either poems, essays, or mock exams.

Everytone avoided my game fornthe entire class time. Theu all seemed intimidated by it or unwilling to try it. I felt so lousy and stupid for wasting so much time making a game from scratch.

In EC Foundations, we also talked about culture, but from an inclusive type and equity standpoint. We also discussed the difference between equity, equality, and fairness.

I ate like a starved horse today. I don't know what's going on but it's like I couldn't get full no matter how much I had to eat. I was also endlessly thirsty.

A dinner of hearty bean and ham soup with a side of homemade 'crusty' bread and some canned colalrs greens (don't at me, I can't make collards without ruining them)

I decided to use my free time before my 11am class today to go to the local Cafe and use my gift card. I got some homemade hummus and from-scratch pita chips as well as a hot mocha latte. I don't usually drink hot coffee (or hot drinks other than tea) but this was to die for. So much so that my plan to savor it during chem lecture was foiled by me finishing it before I even stepped foot on campus.

The church near campus was giving out fresh apples so I ate that for breakfast since I ran put the house this morning with a full lunchbox but no granola bar, yogurt, or avacado toast (I eat one of the three as breakfast a dinner wait fornthe morning bus)

In Chem, we learned more about Lewis structures and formal configuration (I believe it's called). Where you use it to make sure your Lewis structures shows the most stable set up fornthe molecules.

We also were assigned our chapter 4 homeowkr that will be due next Monday and informed that exam 3 (chapters 4 and 5) will be on Wednesday the 10th, a week from today.

Third lecture again this week. But, at least we know for sure that next Friday, we will return to the lab.

For luch, I wanted to eat my packed lunch and my hummus and Chios from the cade. But, got full jsut fro mthe hummus and Chips. Wheni got home, I jsut put my lunch pal in the fridge to use as tomorrow's lunch.

We had Burger King for supper tonight beca8s ei have an assignment due tomorrow that I need crowns for. So, we figured we'd knock out dinner and prep in one go.

First off, there are a few minor details you will need prior to me sharing my day today.

Thursady's classes all bumped project due dates/assignments/exams to today

I forgot to pack my lunch last night, forcing me to speed through the process at 7am a day forgetting my water bottle

My university is on between 22 and 26 acres of land

One of the edges of the campus property shares a road with an elementary school

That school has a partnership with the education department t that allows us students to do our required clinicl rounds for our degrees there.

WE WERE MEANT TO DO ROUNDS TODAY!!!!!!

Early childhood learning experience vironment was host to the first exam for that class. Ove half of the questions were short answer/essay questions (meaning I won't know my grade until Dr. B grades thise quarions). But. Of the ones that were auto graded, I only got 3 wrong.

We ended up not being able to go to rounds today due to Dr. E not double checking with the elementary school's give principal first. Dr. E says we'll be able to go Thursday during class time. I'm starting g to worry because we need 3 clinical rounds in this class alone to be able to have enough by graduation time.

After my lunch, I had to hurry to change into some business casual clothes (instead of the teacher clothes I was wearing since I was meant to be on rounds) before heading to EC Foundations to present my growth and development findings. Dr B even recorded us (without war I gus ahead of time or telling us why she was doing it).

The girl's softball got canceled today thanks to a downpour that flooded the infield.

Homemade chicken tenders and from scratch fries for supper (side salad for veg). No pudding tonight because it dodnt turn out (chocolate mousse was grainy cause sugar didn't disolve). The hubs ate it but me a d the girls couldn't handle the texture.

Today was a another busy Monday. When I got to campus, I had to go to the library to print off today's chemistry notes. When I got there, I was invited to participate in the egg hunt that the Hobors sorority was hosting I nthelibrary and the adjacent social sciences building. I ended up winning one of the small prizes (mini squishmellow), one big prize (a gift card to thebloval cofe),and an entire pile of assorted candy.

The library's printers weren't working so I had to search campus just to find one that worked since Dr. Gares requires us to fill out pre-printed notes for all the lectures.

In chem, we got our graded exams back to use to study fornthe fianl at the end of the semester. We also finsihed learning about nomenclature and started on making the Lewis structures of differnet compounds.

In Intro to Teaching, we spent the entire class talking about our shadow day placements and what we learned.

On the busride home, I nearly lost the stuffed animal I won at the egg hunt. As soon as I got home, my daughters stile the thing off my bed. Now it belongs to them instead.

Today was full of 'changes'

By that I men that planned assignments and exams were pushed back after I stayed up all last night studying for them.

Not only that, but my clinical round at another elementary school as pushed from this coming Tuesday, the 2nd of April, to the Tuesday following, the 9th. Also, the 'cognitive choice board' assignment we were jsut assigned has already had a change to its due date as well.

In EC methods, after we completed a lesson on the fascets of culture we did a class review for the test that was pushed from today until the 2nd. We also were given Easter/spring themed cookies, candies, and crafts to 'enjoy over the weekend.

In 202, did a caramel activity where we had to write down examples of how to foster different intelligences in the classroom. We also had a detailed discussion on the choice board assignment as well as the best ways to properly complete the task we choose.

In EC Foundations, we learned all about the definition of diversity and inclusiveness. Dr. B even spoke to use in her native tongue (ma from liberia) to demonstrate how confused someone who doesn't speak the same language as the rest tof the class might feel in the classroom and all around the school/in society.
