Was watching TNG with my dad and during one of the poker scenes he (while referring to Riker) said something like "I don't understand how anyone could call someone they've slept with "Sie" (polite/professional you in German)" but Worf was on screen at the time so it somehow didn't really click that he was talking about Deanna and for a few baffling seconds I lived in a world where my dad had somehow misconstrued Worf and Riker as having canonically slept with each other.

I know we all like to talk about Kirk grabbing Spock's arms in the "not in front of the klingons" scene and how it's something he normally does before kissing people but like, can we talk about how Spock does the same to Kirk at the end of Amok Time because I for one cannot stop thinking about it.

Like, what were you going to do there Spock? Were you going to finally do with your captain what you know he's done with all those people who you wished were you?? Were you going to grab your captain by the arms and kiss him on the lips in an expression of pure, illogical, unvulcan joy and love??? I still can't get over how tos wanted to do a murder mystery where it was supposed seem like scotty killed a bunch of women but they had to somehow explain why the hell he would ever possibly do such a thing so they just have bones go "boy I sure am glad scotty recovered from that concussion that made him hate women (which is a totally normal reaction to getting injured because of a female coworker that any human person might have btw)" like ok guys fucking A+ writing no notes on that one.
