I’m on my like 6th rewatch of Demon Slayer (so excited the new season is coming in May!) and I SWEAR there’s an update to the animation.
It feels more polished, the 3d/cgi usage seems more widespread, and like there’s more animation details I can’t have possibly missed in all my times watching it.
If there’s not then I’m happy my brain is allowing me to finally see the full beauty of this series.
I know it’s not viable money wise but I would LOVE for series to update their animation. Like remasters for games!

One of my pet peeves in animation of any kind is when someone clenches their fist and there’s this sound of like, squeezing or twisting rubber. (Monkey D Luffy excluded)
Not everything a person does makes noise. Imagine if we had to hear that same noise every time someone squats? Flexes? Turns their head?
The fist is always focused on when this happens, zoomed in and lingered on. It makes no sense.
“Let’s just zoom in on that neck, no face or anything in the background, and have it make a squeaky noise to really accentuate it turning! That’ll make people understand how emotional and important the head turn is!”
That would never fly. It’d be so weird.
Some actions carry greater weight when performed in silence.

I actually did this today. I mean I’ve done it before but in my fields of comfort (art, dog training, singing etc) but this time my mother has enrolled us both in a golf introduction for newbies. I’ve never held a golf club before.
Standing on the range, with the instructor trying to coach and encourage me, I was literally shaking in my shoes. It was terrifying. I’ve been struggling with crippling performance anxiety almost my whole life. I was legit about to cry because I was so scared and nervous; I hadn’t even done a single swing yet!
Long story short, turns out I’m actually a bit of a natural at golf

Oh and the fortifying meals/drinks wear off every now and then for absolutely no reason. Supposed to last over an hour, they’ll last me like... 10-20 minutes or even less, depending on what I’m doing or where I’m at. It’s been happening since I’ve been carrying around Meln the Mouthless. (A bit ironic since the guy never shuts up.) It’s more frequent whenever I have to use his Ghost Sight (or Goat Sight - which is what I keep hearing it as - despite him shouting it every five flippen’ seconds)
Perhaps there’s some conflicting code or whathaveyous.

So I’m in the playtesting server for the new Elder Scrolls Online chapter and new class. I’ve always been a fan of Hermaeus Mora and Arcanist fits my Cayda d’Lior perfectly.
But I swear if they make it so I cannot have Scruut as a companion I shall rage! Silently and with no consequence nor bother to anyone else, of course, but I shall none the less rage.
(Also I appreciate a daedra of Hermaeus Mora having a name that seems like a play on the word Scrutiny)
So far I’m really enjoying the Arcanist class!
It’s versatile and fun to play, I mean who doesn’t want to obliterate several enemies in one go by blasting raw daedric knowledge energy through a book at them?

I have now also found that one place has ambiance music that starts off with a tone that is IDENTICAL to that of the first tone of my cell phones’ ringtone.
Makes me tense up like all Oblivion’s about to break loose! Until the first tone is over, at least. It’s just a second, but it’s a second of anxiety.

So with all the good feels outta the way I might as well take a moment for some criticisms.
1. There are too many invisible walls, especially in Apocrypha. I like to Skyrim my way around like a gravity-defying gremlin, if it looks possible, I don’t want there to be an invisible wall stopping me. Just make it clearly visible that it’s impossible to climb.
2. The bookcases for some reason have a tiny hit box. Might not be an issue to most, but as a compulsive bookcase-checker, this is becoming a growing issue.
3. Why are all the Mora-related creatures of Apocrypha hostile? I’m chosen by Mora himself to aid him, so why are Seekers, Watchers and Watchlings acting like I’m a threat? (Except for a few.) I don’t want to kill the keepers of Hermaeus Mora’s realm. Kinda feels counterproductive.
4. Meln the Mouthless is SO annoying in battle with the higher tier Hungers. He won’t shut up, the way his ability works is pretty much impossible to grasp. Took me no less than 20 minutes to beat the story-specific Hunger because his ability “Ghost Sight” was so fickle and didn’t work 70% of the time. And the effect only ever seemed to take hold right after I’d used my ultimate, making killing the extra Hungers his sight allowed me to see take forever.
5. Gadayn is cute AF and they have the audacity to not let me flirt with him.

How dare they make so many great NPCs. I’ve known Ogle for 30 seconds and I would die for this little tentacle scatterbrain.

They should NOT make it that easy for me to fall into a canyon of books of which there is no escape from. But it’s still on point for the theme. Can’t be mad. I literally got lost in knowledge.

On the hunt for D&D
I’m trying to find a European group to play with.
It’s been far too long since I’ve played and I really miss it. I’m available almost every evening of the week, or even daytime if so required.
I’m a very roleplay and storydriven player.
This means that while I love fights, what really makes my soul hum is the narrative, the characters, the roleplay, the bonds built. Be warned, I will probably doodle some scenes from the story, or write about especially funny/interesting ones.
Do you have a group who needs a player? Gimme a shout!

“What did you try to steal?”
“..... Something personal, and irreplaceable.”
Fearne kisses Ashton’s head.
“... Well, that’s fucking difficult to steal back, ain’t it”
Words simply cannot describe how much I love Fearne and Ashton’s “let’s keep stealing from each other” relationship

Of course, I understand that the whole thing is about the hubris of mages who’d rather ask if they can than if they should. Aabria, Lou and Marisha played those parts perfectly. So arrogant, so sure of themselves with the attitude that if any problem would arise they’d solve it - despite the fact that Laerryn hadn’t even solved the first problem - Evandrins’ disappearance. All that time and energy to complete what the two of them had attempted was time and energy she should have spent to save a friend, a father, a husband, a first knight.
I loved when things shifted. The moment that Patia heard Cerrit say that there have been many selfish choices made tonight, realizing that what they were doing was not in the best interest of the people, the families, the children that call Avalir home. Nidas realizing that the prophecies weren’t false, that him and his allies very much could be the ones making them become truth right there in that moment.  I could go on for hours about how amazing all these people are, how incredible their characters are and the dedication to sticking to what they would do. I’m just happy that I found Critical Role all those years ago.
Also I want Brennan to DM a one-shot or mini series where Matt gets to play his NPC of choice and Robbie comes back and like, lots of guests.
Also also I miss playing DND :c
So I’m rewatching EXU Calamity and I’m finding myself wondering about a lot of things, but one in particular.
The Astral Leywright is described to have “one chance and one chance only to work, and that is today” due to the Apogee Solstice. So even without all the issues and troubles, her plan of telling the city once they were up in the air again - which would be one month later - wouldn’t do much because the one chance had already passed. Even if she could somehow delay their departure to another plane for a month, wouldn’t that mean that they’d be stuck in that plane for 120 years? The Leywright was made possible by storing energy from Exandrian leylines, how would they be able to absorb and store possibly entirely new sources of aether, if there even are sources to gather it from? What if brumestone goes inert when they reach another plane, as it is a material plane substance?
I feel like Laerryn really needed to talk this through more with sensible people like Cerrit. Someone logical and not magically arrogant.
Not sure what my point is with this post. Just thinking out loud, I guess. I absolutely love the series, third time rewatching it, I guess I just like to pick things apart and try to futilely logic my way through magic.

So when I first posted my Twin Batons of Chaos I said that I didn’t quite know what kind of character to make for them.
I finally managed to draw again. It’s just a rough sketch but I already love her. Her lineage is mostly unknown to her, but she has some suspicions that there might be a bit of fey, draconic and perhaps even genasi in it beyond the regular human and elf.
She’s got hair that at a glance almost gives the impression of being transparent like glass, but if you look closer it goes opaque. While it’s in normal daylight it looks pale gold, shifting into a translucent and pale blonde towards the ends. Otherwise, it takes on shifting colors depending on the natural lights of the heavens, almost like a mirror to the sky with a faint fog across it.
Her skin is tan and riddled with terrible scars all along her left side. Her left eye is clouded as it is blind and she is missing both her left arm and leg, having replaced them with arcane mechanics in the form of limbs. Her right eye has a black sclera, piercingly teal iris and a slit pupil. The story of how she lost her left side limbs is entirely different every time she tells it.
She is an Eldritch Knight Fighter with Blind Fighting and Dual Wielding, along with being an Armorer Artificer. She is both terribly strong and fiercely intelligent.
On top of that, she has the Feats Observant, Alert and Sentinel along with a bunch of spells. She’s a force to be reckoned with.
Too bad she doesn’t even have a name yet.
