I don't really have much more to add to this, most of my thoughts are in that original apology I posted. I want nothing more than to offer closure, and anything that can help in this situation. I know that that won't magically fix things, but I feel its the least I can really do.

Hey, I have a question

Will you ever apologize to Sparky? Or “Sprimkles” as you might remember them by. They don’t let it show to anyone, not even their closest friends, but they’re obviously hurting deeply. As one of their friends, I just wanted to reach out so that they could hopefully gain some closure, because they need it. You don’t have to answer this. You don’t even have to approach my friend. I just want you to know, that they deserve an apology, and you made them hurt so bad.

Hi, mod Rainb here. thank you for reaching out to us. Sorry that its taken so long to answer, I haven't really been paying much attention to this blog anymore.

This is something I've thought about saying for a while now.

The enviorment in the jsas server was always toxic, and part of that was because of me. I acted unprofessional as a mod, berated others for little reason (even mocking Sparkys vents at some point, something that to this day makes me sick). Somehow, I thought that what I was doing at the time was "right". There is no excuse for how I behaved at all in general, it was abhorrent.

That entire apple/pear/florence situation was handled absolutely horribly, and when the finger was pointed at Spark we all ganged up on them, something that to this day was one of the worst things I've participated in. For a while, other mods had convinced me fully that they were the one behind those accounts, and I instinctively lashed out at them as a result, coldly insulting them and not listening to reason when they tried to defend themself. I cannot state enough how much I regret jumping to that conclusion so quickly. I apologize to Sparky, their partner, and anyone else affected by my actions during that time.

It was an absolute mess, and I regret pretty much everything I've done as a jsas server mod. The server (and this blog, kinda) is effectively dead now, and even if Vel decided to try and remake it in the future, I do not wish to take up any kind of moderation role for it. The way I acted to them was nothing short of cruel, and I really do want to apologize to Sparky for my part in making this community turn against them for something they didn't even do. Genuinely.

I have thought about reaching out to Sparky these past few months, but I kept deciding against it, reasoning that reaching out to them would only hurt them more. But, if you do end up forwarding this message to them, I am willing to talk to them on discord, if they want me to. They absolutely do not have to accept that offer, or forgive me for anything. I am not asking for forgiveness, nor do I want to excuse myself. I want to give them closure, it's honestly the least I can do.

Take care, and if Sparky does end up seeing this: I am truly sorry, Sparky. I hope you're doing better now. You deserved a better community.
