I have a fucking hilarious idea.

Shen Yuan transmigrates into an An Ding disciple. He finds out that his fellow disciples are of the Qing generation and he decides that he’s going to become An Ding peak lord to not allow that traitor Shang Qinghua to get into position of power. Naturally with a man as cunning and smart as Shen Yuan, he grabs the title effortlessly.

An Ding quickly learns that being surnamed Shang leads to them being sent in the worse missions by their head disciple. He’s looking at all the disciples surnamed Shang with an evil eye.

Shen Yuan has no system.

Meanwhile airplane is Dying under his system’s blasting reminders that he needs to become head disciple but the fucking current head disciple somehow keeps figuring out and evading all his traps and back stabbing attempts like wth.

Somehow the two never figure out that the other is a transmigrator until much much later.

Aka the game of Tom and Jerry between the two transmigrators begin.

Okay I'm thinking - very dangerous, I know.

Luo Binghe was away and pretty much completely out of contact with human life in the Endless Abyss. He's popping up in people's dreamscapes, sure, but it's still a dream at the end of the day and it's not an exact reflection of reality. Things he learn from people's minds still have to be taken with a grain of salt; he knows from Qing Jing's teachings that one man's truth isn't the whole truth. And from Shen Qingqiu himself, Luo Binghe knows how easily one can convince themselves that the truth isn't the real truth but a lie; delusion is a powerful force.

Anyways, what I'm saying is that Luo Binghe was away for 3 years. All sorts of things could have happened in the cultivation world! It's basically like being in a coma for three years!

You know what would be the worse year to fall into a coma? 2019.

It would be freaking hilarious if Luo Binghe falls into the endless abyss in the cultivation world's equivalent of 2019, an epidemic hits human civilization, and Luo Binghe returns, none the wiser of what happened, but he's sure as fuck wondering why face veils have become such a Fashion Statement that Everyone is wearing it. By then, the illness that had struck most of the human town and cities isn't as bad so it's not so talked about - also it's been a couple years now so everyone is used to it - but it's still a Concern. Not everyone can be rich enough or well connected enough to get the special medicine from the Qian Cao peak to stave off catching the illness.

Luo Binghe is also pretty sure everyone can tell he's a demon because they keep looking and glaring at him. He's very self conscious of his skills of maintaining his glamour hiding his demonic attributes.

(No, Luo Binghe, it's because you cough and sneeze without a face covering on. And also because you aren't maintaining 2 meter social distancing rules. StoP TOUCHING anD insPecTinG eaCh FruiT and vEgetablE at hte markets omfg are you trying to spread your germs everywhere and get people sick!!! )

Why do you think Yue Qingyuan doesn't go wild after Shen Qingqiu self detonates?

Why isn't he going to get back Shen Qingqiu's corpse?

Is it because he respects Shen Qingqiu's choice to sacrifice himself for his disciple?

Or is it because his Xiao Jiu has been dead for a long time already and he knows it?

I'm so curious because it's so at odds with Yue Qingyuan who walked into an obvious trap at the hope of getting Shen Jiu back

How little Shen (Yuan) Qingqiu thinks about his previous life and family gives me big feelings.

We all know he's very repressed and his biggest talent is shoving thoughts to the side and just NOT THINKING ABOUT IT.

But I also think it's indicative of how lost and lonely he felt in his previous life. He drops tidbits and hints of family, but no friends. He mentions his aggressive reading and his troll reviews, but no job or hobbies except collecting merch.

It's not that someone can't live a life happily this way, it's just it feels that he, in particular, wasn't. And he embraced his new role wholeheartedly, given a new purpose, and allowed himself to believe it was only because of a threat to his life and not just because his previous life was so devoid of meaning and direction.

I’ve been thinking about writing a fic where SY is essentially a spirit in a forest with the abilities of the Cheshire cat because it would be entertaining as hell and it would just make him sassier that he already is.

Just give it some more thought imagine the disciples of Cang Qiong investigating some disturbances in the villages surrounding a mystical forest, then being tricked by a pretty looking man who then disappears after scamming them or something leaving only a smile hanging in the air now imagine that again but with SY’s wifebeam.

Liu Qingge was doomed to pine for SQQ for the rest of his life KNOWING he choose that half demon child that he fought over and over again for five years to protect SQQ’s honor EVEN AFTER death

because even after he was sure SQQ died he could never just move on AND HE ACCEPTED IT and risked his life over and over again just to NOT EVEN BE acknowledged by SQQ in the end

Fics where Bingge gets his own Shen Yuan are always a delight, but I do wish more of them let Shen Yuan dote on Bingge’s children!

I’d love a story where Shen Yuan somehow ended up in the role of ‘Head Imperial Tutor’ and became the children’s beloved teacher and fiercest protector.

Whatever harem drama, rebellions, or other nonsense is going on, he observes with only mild interest (plus much internal eye rolling, and maybe a little gushing over Binghe) but if anyone dares target his students he utterly destroys them.

Sometime after the Bingge vs. Bingmei extra (perhaps after Shen Yuan eliminates some threat to the children), Binghe actually notices Shen Yuan and just how closely his behavior mirrors the nice Shizun.

He’s a very gentle and attentive teacher, tailoring lessons to each child’s learning style, comforting them when the drama between their mothers causes them distress, and freely granting affectionate head pats and light fan bops.

Binghe fighting with his own kids for attention from his world’s kind Shizun, while juggling with Shen Yuan’s obliviousness, and the fact he must be careful never to seriously upset the kids (or he will face Shen Yuan’s wrath), just has so much comedy and cuteness potential!

In the end, Bingge not only falls for Shen Yuan, but comes to more fully love and care for his own kiddos too.
