Anybody remember my Dark Sonic art? Well, here I go again with the first page of the comic related to him, his relationship with Shadow and... some backstory I cooked up. Will I make more content with this idea? I have no clue, but here are some AU prompts you can use granted you credit my idea.

- in this AU, both positive and negative chaos energy exist. Their balance can be found in every single living being, however — a huge chunk of dark chaos energy has been sealed away deep underground.

- Eggman, however, broke the seal and released the energy onto Mobius, hoping the energy will destroy the planet.

- since no energy can be destroyed, and the seal was broken, Sonic and friends had to come up with a way to find a new vessel for it. But this process takes time, so Sonic volunteered to absorb all of this energy until Tails comes up with a container strong enough to keep it in check again.

- however, the energy messed Sonic up. Pretty bad. At this point in the comic, Sonic is so badly influenced by the energy that he doesn’t even want it gone from his system. He starts distancing himself from everyone, fighting alone with the horrible aftereffects of handling this much pain and suffering.

So yeah, there you go. What do you think of this AU? Love it, hate it? Got any questions? Whichever it is, please let me know.

Tumblr users are often so arrogant and it shows. They can draw a full cast of POC characters but when POC say "Hey we want more than just our skin tone" they're suddenly deaf as shit.

Representation on Tumblr has become a way for white people to win brownie points just because they took a Hershey's bar and slapped it onto a person's skin tone.

The most disgusting thing is that they insist on making JUST African-Americans. They insist on making JUST one facial type, one nose type, one lip type, one hair type, one slang type, one skin tone.

And when they make a person Asian, it's Japanese. And when they make a person Hispanic, it's Mexican. And when they make a person indigenous, they never specify on which tribe/nation they came from, but you'll bet they're Native AMERICAN.

But my favorite part is when other POC demand representation and those same fucking white people are like "But but but look at all my black characters!!!!"

POC isn't just confined to America.

POC isn't just black.

POC isn't just Japanese.

POC isn't just Mexican.

POC isn't just Native American.

It's from the Miskitu in Nicaragua, from the highlands of Ethiopia, from the deserts of Saudi Arabia, from the mountains of Indonesia. It's from the arroz con gandules, from the folk music, from the festivals. It's many cultures blending, it's speaking more than just English, it's dealing with racism unique to our countries of origin.

It's more than just one universal experience, and white Tumblr isn't willing to show that.

I want to add to it. You see, I used to be homeless. I was homeless in a foreign country I do not speak the language of (I moved there for my girlfriend at the time. It seemed only fair since I come from the country with political instability and hers seemed “perfect”). Still, I am a graphic designer and I have a degree in dog psychology, I speak two languages fluently and three languages at a decent level (still learning. Also for those who don’t know, English is not my native language). Not even once during my struggles anybody looked at me like I was an intelligent, decent person with dignity. Everybody looked down on me and it was humiliating. Please, people. If you see a homeless person, don’t look at them this way. They still have their dignity to keep. Sometimes it’s all we have.

This is what I needed in all of that chaos I found myself in at the time — I needed some sense of normalcy, a reminder that I am still me and it doesn’t change anything. Even if I had lost everything, even if I was wandering from place to place. I needed to know that I’m still me. If you see a homeless person, I’m not saying you have to help them, but please, at least don’t do anything to make that feeling waver.

I recovered; when I came back to my home country I signed myself up for a PTSD therapy and everything went better from there. Some parts I barely remember by this point. But this feeling of hopelessness and humiliation? It doesn’t haunt me anymore, but I will never, ever forget.
