wrote down a full page of things i'm grateful for right after waking up this morning. from things like "i am alive" to "my hair looks nice" to "i get to eat today" to "the clouds are beautiful today", every single thing in my life right now is something i feel i should worship. being safe is a blessing. being alive is a true miracle. little things and big things all matter the same. i want to feel love like i've never felt before, for myself first and foremost. i hope you'll feel the same ♡

Dear Diary ❤︎
today was so nice, right until the end ✨
the morning was pretty chill. i went grocery shopping with my father and sister at 8 am, then had lessons till 3 pm. during one of my classes, i put the last of my gisou oil in my hair, and applied a clay face mask :) i love taking care of myself 🫶🏼
we did a lot of packing in the early afternoon. not much else happened until later on, when we went to the mall!!
first, we went to ladurée for some macarons. i had a bite of one of my mothers, but left mine for tomorrow))
next up was sephora!! the two things that i needed, i couldn’t get 😭 the drunk elephant babyfacial, and the tatcha cleansing oil 💔💔 my cleanser is finishing and they dont sell it in my city. what am i to do??? (im being dramatic, i have three other cleansers back home, and got one more today 💀) (mini haul below 🎀)
we also went to victoria’s secret 😽 i measured my bra size for the first time since i was 13 and it turns out im a 34C?!? im still in shock tbh. i got bra/undie set, a pj set, and a matching robe🫶🏼
we finished off the evening with a trip to the cinema. we watched The Creator and omg???? absolutely devastating. i have only good things to say about that movie. i rarely say that anything is a 10/10, but this… it definitely deserves it. honestly it was amazing i cried so much 😭

🎀 goals i have before 2024 🎀
these goals aren’t necessarily things i want to achieve / be able to do by then. just things i want to get into the habit of doing :)

physical goals
1. go to the gym three times a week
im kinda cheating with this one cus i already do this, but i want to be more productive (?) when i go. i also want to set a plan for those three days so i dont do random exercises. (eg arm day: 10 sets of _ exercise, ect.)
2. stretch and use the massagers every evening
my parents recently bought a foot massage machine, a hand massage machine and a neck massage machine. i used them for around two weeks before i stopped lol. i did notice a difference in how much pain and stiffness i was feeling throughout the day, so i want to start using them again, as well as using their back roller and leg bands to help me stretch.
3. walk my sisters dog four to five times a week
walking her dog was so difficult in the summer because of the heat, so hopefully it’ll be easier now that the weather is cooling down :,) its unrealistic to say that ill walk her (the dog)) every night, so ill stick to a minimum of four days :)

study and work goals
1. work every day
sigh. i have a schedule where i work ~30-60 minutes every day, and 8 hours once a week. sounds easy. and it is. i just have problems with discipline, so i’ve been skipping a few days 🤥 that is not good, so i need to focus >:(
2. do homework the day its assigned 🗣️🗣️
in the past, i did all sorts of mental gymnastics to convince myself to do my homework the day before the lesson, but i end up just not doing it 💀 my teachers get pretty worked up about it, as does my mother lol. rightfully so tbh.
3. study ⁉️
i adore studying, so why am i not studying 🤨 makes no sense 🥱 lets get to it, mkay??

self improvement goals
1. self care sunday (morning…)
i have classes every sunday afternoon, but they’re pretty chill, pretty enjoyable :) the main issue with self care sunday, is that most of the time, i dont do enough during the week to deserve them lmfao. its like every day is self care day 🫠
2. explore the city twice a month
i moved to a new city back in february, and still don’t know anyone or anything abt it 😧 i need (!!) to get out more. like, no joke. with my busy schedule, twice a month is the least i can guarantee. its more than i’ve done the past 8 months 🤷🏼‍♀️
3. read and meditate every evening
this one should be easy, but alas. i’ve never been able to meditate, and reading every evening is difficult when u don’t have any books 😺 i shall try my best anyways…

the correct way to come out of a fast 🎀
i’m not a health acc, nor am i an ed acc, but i see a lot of girlies ending their fasts wrong, and that can be super dangerous. life threatening, even. so i decided to write thus cus i have s lot of experience with fasting 🫶🏼
(if on a liquid diet, skip to step 4)
1. time
it’s a super simple process, but it’s definitely time consuming. the amount of time you were fasting is the amount of time it takes to come out of a fast. (e.g. one year i fasted for all of ramadan, even at night. i only fasted for two weeks, then slowly incorporated food back into my diet for the other two weeks)
2. liquid food
i saw someone eat an apple straight after their fast.
you cannot under any circumstances do that!!
shocking your system with food is dangerous. the first thing you should be having is a teaspoon of *blended* apple in a glass of water. (blend a peeled apple with a little bit of water to get the right consistency. do not use store bought apple juice)
it’s gross, but it’s necessary.
slowly over time, increase the ratio, until you are just drinking the blended apple. (the amount of time it takes depends on the amount of time you fasted)
3. liquid food cont.
once you start drinking just the apple, start mixing in other fresh fruits and veggies - preferably ones with a lot of nutrients. make sure it’s not too heavy.
(side note: don’t add any milk or yogurt to the smoothies nothing but plain water!)
4. food (kinda?)
you can’t eat normally just yet, just a little more to go!! there are two options of how to do this step
one is to make the smoothies chunkier, so you have something to chew
the second is cutting yourself a *tiny* piece of apple and chewing it until you physically can’t anymore.
they are pretty similar, so it’s up to you :) (make sure to chew very well for both btw, not just the second option)
as always, slowly increase the mount of solids until…
5. FOOD! (finally 😮‍💨)
congrats! you can now eat normally!! 🥳🥳🥳
it sucks that it takes so long, but i cannot stress enough how important it is! people have actually died from ending a fact wrong before. please look after your health 🤍
id you don’t like apples, or are allergic, you can substitute them for blueberries, though you’ll have to strain the skin out until you can start chewing 🤷🏼‍♀️ (if you don’t like blueberries, then use cucumbers or lettuce, idk)
