Did a shoot on Sunday with one of my close friends. I usually feel very awkward and uncomfortable in shoots, but this was such a wonderful and relaxing experience. I have a white version of this dress and I'll be doing another shoot some time in the next couple of weeks. (Side note: this dress makes me feel very witchy and I'm totally alright with that)

one word spells
As long as you can focus your energy and set your intention your spell should work, so I’ve designed these 5 spells using just one word for a Witch who needs a quick fix.
Mariquil
Pronounced mar-e-quil
Used to calm a temper or an upset person. From the latin word for sea, mare, and the english word tranquil. Essentially you are calling the sea inside them to be still. For better results cast with wet hands.
Univert
Pronounced Uni-var
Used for faster transport. I use it at the train station to have a shorter wait time but really its designed for traffic lights. By combining uni from universe and vert, the french word for green, you’re essentially asking the universe to make your path green.
Visididen
Pronounced Vis-e-did-en
Used to go unnoticed or invisible. Taken from the english words vision and hidden. For best results chant it softly while visualising yourself turning transparent.
Lapagna
Pronounced Lap-ag-na
Used when you just need someone to shut the f**k up but are too polite to say so. Taken from the Latin words lapis and magna, meaning stone and voice. For best results hold a stone or some earth while casting, if they’re really pissing you off just throw the stone or dirt at them.
Bavarignis
pronounced Bav-are-ig-ni
Used to strike up a conversation or to continue a conversation. Taken from the French word bavarder, which means chat, and the Latin word ignis, which means fire. Basically you’re asking for the conversation to spark or catch fire. For best results flick a lighter in your pocket or light a match.

Muse Spell Jar
I’ve been feeling unmotivated, lackluster and have been having troubles figuring out a direction to follow, so I gathered some herbs and crystal chips and made a new spell jar!
Catnip - creativity
Chamomile - meditation
Lavender - mental clarity and relaxation
Marigold - renewing personal energy
Salt - protection
Wild Cherry Bark - direction
Amethyst chips - creative thinking, decision making, concentration
Make sure to state your intentions as you add each layer. I said a little chant with it in the form of a haiku, but you can make your own! ”Lend me energy, that I may follow the path to find my calling.” Please tag me if you remake this jar, I would love to see it! Feel free to alter parts of the spell to your liking.

This is great because I'm a Virgo and I feel best when I'm gently separating the roots of plants to avoid ripping them out entirely. It's soothing for me and puts me at peace.
The signs as things in a garden
Aries: Bumble bees that come from far away just to pollinate each flower in order for them to grow large and beautiful. You provide everyone with a sense of hope, and are just downright adorable.
Taurus: Cold water soaking deep down into the soil. You are vital for everyone’s survival, even though not everyone might notice it all the time. You provide the plants with comfort and give them the ability to grow.
Gemini: Ladybugs and butterflies fluttering through the leaves and plants. You brighten everyone’s day when you say hello and are vital to the survival of the garden.
Cancer: Sweet nectar dripping off the petals of each flower. You provide sweetness and beauty into the lives of everyone in and around the garden. Without you, the garden would feel empty.
Leo: Deep, luscious soil enriched with nutrients for the plants. You provide a safe, solid foundation for everyone in the garden, and provide the nutrients for others to grow into beautiful, luscious plants. Without you, the garden wouldn’t exist.
Virgo: The roots that bury deep down into the earth. You soak up water, and are the reason every plant can survive and thrive. You connect with others underneath the rich soil, and provide a basis for a beautiful garden.
Libra: The stems of each plant. Thriving up towards the sky, you are what allow the garden to grow and grow. Intertwining with others, you connect with everyone you come close to.
Scorpio: Oxygen. Although often times unnoticed, without you, nothing would exist. Every plant needs you in their lives in order to survive. You provide comfort, and a great support system for everyone who needs it.
Sagittarius: The colorful, vibrant and beautiful petals on every flower. You add touches of beauty and grace everywhere you exist, and stop everyone in their tracks when they see you.
Capricorn: Busy ants and miscellaneous insects. You are hard at work making sure everything in the garden is safe and sound. You hold everything together, and make sure everyone is comfortable and has what they need to succeed.
Aquarius: Beautiful, big, leafy plants. You soak up the sunshine, and add balance and beauty to the garden, as well as providing a sense of security to the plants around you. Each of you is unique, and never allow an empty space or moment.
Pisces: Fuzzy, colorful caterpillars. Each day, you dream of becoming a large, powerful butterfly, but the truth is you are amazing the way you are. You provide comfort in every plant’s lives when the feel you across their leaves.

Here’s a long list of herbal and plant uses from Ann Moura’s Grimoire for the Green Witch. It’s a very useful resource and I highly recommend it. Some of these herbs are common, some of them I’ve never even heard or seen in real life. As a bit of a spiritual bioregionalist myself, I tend to work with herbs and plants that grow native in my landbase (which a few of these do!), but hopefully this very comprehensive list is helpful to some of you out there.

Magickal Folk Names for Herbs
Tumblr media
Having knowledge of herbs and plants (either magically or medicinally) during the Middle Ages, often was reason enough to accuse a woman of being a “witch,” so there is no doubt some of the country folk at the time took these herbal folk names literal.  Chances are, these names were used merely as descriptors to help remember them easier.  Most plants were given names descriptive of their uses and others were given names for something they generally resembled. Spells written by witches in ancient times were often written with such descriptors, which personally i believe to be a form of secret coding.
Here is a small list of “witchy” herb names (most of these are already floating around the community) that you can use in your craft when you create your spells.  This list could be a great addition to any Grimoire and i hope you find them as useful as i do.
Enjoy ~~~  Cannawitch
