This has been floating around in my head for weeks and today I finally drew it to get it out of my system. 

I'm so glad Viv took the 4-finger route with the character designs, the hands still took me a while, but not noticeably longer than the other part which is such a blessing. I think I would have spent at least 1/2 to 1 hour longer if that hadn't been the case.

Took a personality style test for the heck of it and the warning at the beginning was a bit confusing. Why would I be upset when it couldn't possibly be worse than expected? At worst I could be positively surprised for not cracking the high score in every category.

XD Turns out I confused the computer right back as my result was basically "I dunno, you're either f*cked up in too many ways to give a description or you were doing this wrong."

I think people online as well as IRL will agree with the 100% avoidant one considering it can take me years to reply to literally anything, the dependent one also checks out. I think the depressive one is slightly to high and should cap at 90% because the other 10% are just regular pessimism. I'm a bit surprised about the 14% sadistic and wonder what reply caused that, but I adore the color and 14 is a nice number, so I'm kinda glad I got to see it.

I suppose the warning at the beginning is aimed at confident optimists who don't constantly self-analyze? *shrug*

So this failed completely. I thought I might find at least 1 or 2 silly bunnies added, but there's just my "okay, I'm gonna start" bunny and my "I guess this doesn't work" bunny. Well, at least now I know not to try this again.

So yesterday it was decided that we're all gonna draw bunnies in December. I started with the first one, feel free to add more to the canvas above.

Somehow managed to reach the 1 per week goal and man did it put working on anything else on hold this year.

Ending this with a Shinigami seems thematically fitting. And I would have liked to say that was clever choice, but in all honesty this was a complete coincidence and I only realized the connection a day after the drawing was already done. She hadn't even been on the list of potential characters and only ended up on the page because she popped into my head after abandoning the list entirely.

From last week. Picked Reina because the design was comparably easy. I'm not quite happy with the eyes, especially because on of them looks bigger than the other, but you gotta call it quits at some point, might try to fix it later.

A mildly upset Kabakura - would have gone for a more gentle smile, but I think more than 90% of the other ones I drew just have a generic smile, so I wanted a least a little bit of variation. If I ever do the lineart, I might change the expression again though.

I thought I was done, but then I realized he was looking way too baby, so I shrunk his iris/pupils to what they look like in the anime and strangely enough that worked. I mean, he still looks younger here, but it was still surprising to me what that alone would do considering the eye size itself remained the same. Maybe should have expanded the shoulders as well, but for he's done.

From last Saturday. Quite happy with this one, Junko's design was definitely up my alley. If I could change anything, I'd move her up to deal with the empty space on top and to fit more of her hair.

We'll see how this week's character will turn out. It's always a 50/50 chance of "I like this. :)" and "I can't draw at all! :'("

I feel like as soon as I don't try to draw an existing character and just improvise without thinking I can actually get something that allows me to think "maybe I can draw after all". I mean, if I compare my fanart to to this random baby there's a clear difference in quality, I believe.

sketch: 45 minutes, lines: 50 minutes, line additions: 30 minutes

My only regret here is the choice of materials. I let the lines dry for 2 or 3 days and erasing the pencil lines still smudged blue all over the place face. I should just pretend I added that "blue mist" on purpose to enhance the drawing's aura. Not sure how/if I'll color this - the paper might not accept colored pencil and anything liquid-based will probably bleed into the lines and cause a tragedy. Maybe I'll just leave the original as is and color it digitally, seems to be the safest bet.
