day five : ‘and there was only one bed’

*claps hands together* now where to begin?

let's say they've been dating for a few weeks (still in the awkward first stages), were driving somewhere, and the car crashed and needed to be towed. that leaves them in a cramped motel with— you guessed it

only one bed

jason (gods bless this boy smh) being the polite somewhat flustered boy he is, offers to take the floor

"NO."

"NO."

"..o-okay." o////o

thing is, while his offer was purely out of manners, as they all get onto the bed, they all realize that they literally cannot lie down side by side because the bed is.. way too small

they tried jason in the middle, because really, the guy's bigger than both of his partners combined

and it worked! yay!

well, for a while, anyway

because with leo ‘i'm a living heater’ valdez on a completely different side of the bed, that left piper kind of, well, cold

(the blankets were cheap and thin, what do you want? :/)

and so ensued— the blanket tug-of-war

jason literally just wants to sleep™

piper is literally half-awake, but still somehow winning despite leo's best efforts

he's immensely bothered about that, so—

"OKAY YOU KNOW WHAT?"

he fumbled a bit, trying to get jason's arm off, then basically just lays down all starfish over his partners, arms wrapped around their waists

"i'm tired. i don't like fighting. and it's 3 in the morning. goodnight."

and just like that, he gets knocked out by his own exhaustion

piper kind of just blinks at him like what just happened?

jason, barely registering anything that's happening: "night, leo."

piper can't help but chuckle a little. at least she was warm now, right?

"welp. goodnight, boys."

Heroes of Olympus is a series that sadly has a big issue with amatonormativity so I just love that Jason gets to have Thalia as the one person he remembers after the camp swap and how the memory of her becomes his anchor throughout The Lost Hero.

Hey, do you have any Thalia and Jason sibling headcanons?

Yup.

As soon as Jason learned to crawl he'd just follow Thalia about. Wherever Thalia was Jason was not far behind.

They both dress up the Zeus statue in their cabin for each holiday.

Thalia is terrified of heights but she isn't afraid when Jason's flown holding her hand. Because she knows she's safe with him.

They train with each other's weapons, and exchange em during fights by tossing em at each other.

Jason introduces himself as Thalia's little brother. Former Praetor? Nah. Former centurion? Nah.

Thalia only uses her last name to show she's Jason's sister.

They've visited their mothers grave together once.

Thalia held Jason in her arms when he told her what his tattoos meant.

They sneak into cinemas and watch kids movies.

Thalia is Jason's anger translator.

They both have silly competitions like who can climb up a tree the fastest and who can fire an arrow at a moving target the quickest.

They play fight and just start tussling and ambushing each other, fighting and laughing as they roll around on the ground.
