• every time he was beginning to drift off, he heard a faint whisper

• it’s not like it was something a monster would’ve said either, it was just phrases like “where’s the apples” or “don’t lick the ceiling”

• that only confused him more

• he would look down at the girl in his arms, only to find her sound asleep

• the next few days he didn’t hear anything, making the situation weirder

• so when he asked y/n to stay over in his cabin again, he knew he had to figure out what was happening

• he decided to watch her as she slept- not in a creepy way but like a protective way

• i hope that makes sense???

• but when he heard nothing, he figured it was just a one time thing

• so he let himself rest his head on top of hers and close his eyes

• that was until he heard “jason”

• he looked back down at the girl, “y/n?”

• but she just grumbled and shifted to be facing away from him

• he didn’t hear anything for the rest of the night so he tried to let it go

• until he had been talking to one of her siblings

• “i’m glad she’s been sleeping in your cabin,” the sibling laughed, “no one in our cabin can sleep with all of her sleep talking”

• and so the mystery was solved!

• the next time she slept in his cabin, she was laid against his chest as he held onto her

• he no longer minded the little words he would hear in the night, in fact, they only comforted him more

• “jason” he heard mumbled

• he stroked her hair, knowing she was still unconscious

• “i love you”

• he couldn’t help but smile at the comment and press a soft kiss against her forehead

• “i love you, too, sweetheart,” he whispered, even though he knew she wouldn’t hear him

• or at least that what he thought, except for the grin that had found its way onto her face

I feel like the pjo fandom often ignores this fun little fact about actual Greek mythology, which is that Hades is meant to basically be the perfect parallel to Zeus. I feel like this can open so much angst for Nico and Jason but it's all but ignored though the subtext is there.

Jason is all but immediately trusted as everyone realizes he's Jupiters son. The world is put on his shoulder while he's basically one of the youngest among the demigods (he's only like 15? Maybe 16?). He doesn't seem to have much interest in actually holding power but is forced into the position and takes it as his duty for saving his people. He's beloved and everyone is interested in him one way or another.

Nico one the other hand, was immediately seen as an enemy when people learned he was Hades son. One little mistake was seen as proof that he was terrible and should be shoved away. Despite Nico being smart and helping save the world multiple times, no one ever really treats him with respect and always go back to insisting he hides in the shadows. He's dark and creepy. Even Percy, meant to be the good guy who trusts too easily, can't find it to help Nico and doesn't hesitate to immediately kill Nico when given a small bit of proof that Nico was evil.

Lupa meeting Jason for the first time, Seeing this small human pup and being reminded of her own human children, Romulus and Remus.

The child trembles, not from fear but from the cold. The image of two babies shivering from the assaulting winds of the wild, clinging on each other, comes flashing through her mind. They. He needs shelter.

The she-wolf is suddenly flooded with necessity of keeping this pup.

She trains him the hardest. She knows he is destined for something enormous, she can feel it. Just like with her other two. But Jason is young, too young. He needs more time under the fire to be molded into a proper child of Rome, someone worthy to call themselves the son of the Kings of the gods.

In the night, she allows him to lay by her side. She tells him stories, about the greatest heroes of Rome, about her children, how her Romulus founded Rome and became its first King, and how her Remus died by his brother’s hand. She doesn’t know if Jason truly understands the weight of the words as she talks about the demise of her child, but the toddler looks at her with a contemplative expression on his round rosy face and after a moment he wraps his small arms around her neck. The act takes the wolf by surprise and when she gains her composure, she bitterly orders him to go to sleep.

Despite the harshness in her tone, she lets him embrace her as he sleeps, covering him with her warm fur and nuzzling his hair.

Other demigods pups come and go but Jason stays. Until Juno comes for her champion.

To put it in mortal terms, it can be said that what came after the arrival of the Queen, is the godly equivalent of a custody battle.

Jason needs to learn how to be the leader of men, Lupa knows this. She also knows that there’s so much that Jason can learn at her side.

But in the end, he is Juno’s. Nothing can’t beat the title of Juno’s champion.

The Queen is eyeing them thoughtfully with an aura of superiority and the she-wolf stand solemn, but the child starts nuzzling her side and she can’t help but reciprocate the affection.

Juno comes and gently picks up Jason and strokes his hair.

As they take their leave from the Wolf House, Lupa watches as the child rest his head on the Queen’s shoulder.

She can’t help to remember the moment when that mortal shepherd took her two children away.

Jason waves goodbye to her as he is taken away. Lupa can’t look back anymore.

because of the trend 'picture in my wallet', you wanted to see if your boyfriend had your picture in his own. jason looked at you, confusion on his face that so obvious, handed you his wallet without asking anything. "here babe."

"thanks baby," you said, opening his wallet.

there you were, your ugly, chocolate eating childhood self. jason always thought it was cute, how you were eating the chocolate with your whole face, and there's chocolate everywhere.

"you sneaky bastard!" you laughed as you yelled at him. "when did you steal this from my mother?"

jason only chuckled, looking away. "whaat? what stealing? i- uh i don't know what you're talkin' ab-"

"jason, baby, what did we say about lying?" you asked, hands on your hips. jason sighed.

"that i'm horrible at it." he murmured and you nod satisfied. "your mom gave it to me since i looked at it so much, and i kinda adore this picture of you."

"alright alright, i forgive you," you said, pulling out your phone. "because we're doin' a trend!"

jason let out a long breath. "ohh boy."

you quickly rushed to the side where the phone can't see it. jason did his best to memorise the lyrics and awkwardly stood in front of the camera.

"don't pull away too quickly okay, wait until i arrive," you said, as the tiktok counted down from 10. jason nodded, his roman genes showing up the minute someone assigns him with something.

the song eventually started and jason smiled, singing the song before showing the picture in his wallet. you quickly stood next to jason, and jason pulled away the wallet from camera. he lifted you in his arms after you made a cute pose to the camera.

the video ended and you picket up your phone in jason's arms. you guys watched the video while jason helded you, and you guys chuckled every once in a while.

"perfect, only in one take too," you smiled, kissing his cheek and watching the video again.

jason looked at you proudly. "well, when you got a perfect boyfriend who's disiplined, what can you expect?" he shrugged.

you giggled at him. "oh totally, my perfectionist roman boyfriend."
