Tirestir Art Collection (Part 1)

So the 21st of July was the first session of Tirestir and Beyond! A DND 5E campaign, in a homebrew setting, that is to inevitably become a spelljammer game. Following is a portion of the art that has come out of this game.

I think I'll start with introducing my character, Cordelia Featherdreamer. a 110 year old Circle of Stars Druid, who is convinced she is a Drow (note; she is not, very clearly she is not, she doesn't know she's adopted.) I've done a lot of art of her, including making several outfits for her.

And I mean a LOT of art for her. This is only art that's just her, and doesn't include the more NSFW art I've made.

I am but one of the artists in the campaign, with 2 other digital artists, we have a TON of character art, with over 70 doodles in such a short period of time. How about some art that features some other characters?

How about some QUINBY art! Our local Little Guy™. Quinby is our Kender Artificer, and we adore him. He's a funky little guy, a little fruity, a little weird, and just generally little at only 4ft tall.

And worry not, the angst art is purely fiction, I just wanted to draw some angst. As for the other group shot, that one is actually canonical.

Unfortunately, Quinby's partner PC, Church, did end up leaving the campaign. So the only art I have of him is from our first session.

Some Esmeralda art, our plasmoid cleric. Esmeralda is a cleric to... Well she's not totally sure! She still needs to get that figured out, but she's narrowed it down to a few gods, so that's good. Esmeralda is one of Cordelia's closest friends, who due to not being a druid, is able to accompany her on her pilgrimage, per the rules set by her druid circle. It's a nice little loop hole.

And last but certainly not least, our water genasi rogue, Gallilea. Before the question is asked, no Gallilea and Cordelia aren't dating. However, I know the player plans to have Gallilea attempt to woo Cordelia in the future, and drawing them together is quite cute. At least... When we make it that way.

Gallilea comes from the island nation that Esmeralda comes from, and where Cordelia found the Circle of the Stars. She's charming, she's sweet, and she's a lycanthrope! A wereshark if you will.

Overall, I adore this campaign, and I look forward to it all week. Friday mornings I can't wait to get out of bed to play. I'll post more art at a later date, when there's more ready to be posted. But this is like 7 weeks worth of art, though cherry picked as it may be.

Strixhaven Art Collection!

With my Strixhaven campaign having come to a close, here's a dump of art I've done throughout the course of our game

One of my favorite pieces, Catalyst and her girlfriend Aurora cuddling together. Aurora doesn't actually sleep, but as a dhampyr she does have a special diet. That being dreams. So while she doesn't need to sleep and doesn't need to spend 8 hours lazing around, she chooses to spend that time cuddled up with her girlfriend, occasionally snacking on her dreams.

Catalyst's year four portrait. When we got to our final year of Strixhaven it felt necessary to give an update to Catalyst's portrait, which hadn't been redone since we started the game at year one.

Catalyst and Delphi found a frog! Attuned to a special magic item Catalyst gained blindsight, allowing her to sense a small creature hanging around Delphi's feet. What we weren't expecting was for it to scream the entire time it was held, and continue to scream as it sank into the water on a Lily pad.

Allure! Catalyst's familiar. He's an art elemental, and while he's normally very happy, friendly, and generally a bouncy little guy, when he got knocked to 1hp in a single hit he got very very mad.

When two worlds collide. Catalyst and Aurora are from two very very different places. Catalyst hails from the fountains of creation, where the elemental planes of fire and earth meet each other. It is hot, it is dangerous, but it is her home nonetheless. Aurora on the other hand is from a northern country on the material plane. A place ruled by vampires, and fairly chilly, but otherwise relatively normal to most. It never mattered to the two of them how different their worlds were, all that mattered to them was they had each other.

Jinkies, it looks like we're dealing with a cosmic horror gang! Over a summer adventure Catalyst and her friends (Oakley, Delphi, and Adith) went to help a man they met in sigil, whose planet had been taken over by a cosmic horror.

And some silly pieces I did! I spent most sessions drawing to occupy my hands while we played, so lots of silly little doodles came out of our game.

While that's not all the art I did for our Strixhaven game, it's a good chunk of it. More to come later! I'm gonna miss this game, it was so much fun to play alongside my friends. 🩷

Incandescence's Pokemon Team

I love pokemon, I also love my tiefling girl, so here's her team! (also yes the background is based on legends of Arceus)

From left to right

Pyroar the lion Pokemon! Fun fact, Pyroar can get so hot that just coming near them can cause severe burns. The same happens with Incandescence, as a Phoenix sorcerer she can wreath herself in flames causing severe burns to anyone who touches her. The Pokedex entry for Pyroar made me sad honestly, they radiate a lot of heat, enough to melt steel at times. So I would speculate not a lot of people would keep them as friends, incandescence however is heat/fire resistant, so I think they could handle each other!

Ninetales, the fox pokemon! I imagine incandescence would have gotten her as a Vulpix, as she gets attached to small and young creatures quite easily but let's not worry about her attachment and separation issues caused by her baby being taken away right now so I think she'd want to take good care of a cute little fox baby, and now that she's all grown up Ninetales can protect her (but she's still a baby to incandescence)

Flareon, the Flame Pokemon! Her partner Pokemon, I imagine incandescence likely found Flareon as he is, not as an Eevee, and the two quickly bonded, both being lonely and incandescence being very kind. I also imagine that Flareon is a bit of a prick to everyone else, like a fiercely loyal cat 🐈

Oricorio, the Dancing Pokemon! Incandescence herself was raised by a bard, she loves to dance, she loves to perform, and not only that, her magic is that of a fire bird, the legendary Phoenix. I thought it only made sense for her to fall in love with this cute little dancing fella. Not only is he a fire bird, but a dancer like her!

Typhlosion, the Ghost flame Pokemon! Typhlosion's hisuian form is quite different from the standard starter Pokemon. I selected the Hisuian form specifically because incandescence has died. Not once, not twice, but four times. So it felt appropriate to have her starter Pokemon be part ghost type. I imagine in one of the events that killed incandescence, Typhlosion did all she could to protect her, but fell with her. Later being returned to life by the magic of incandescence's friends, but Typhlosion was left changed. More peaceful than before, more pacifistic now, but still with anger issues that can set off a continent sweeping wildfire. Hisuian Typhlosion is perfect for incandescence, as the difference between the two forms, and the idea of that transition between the two forms, perfectly illustrates how she's changed through four deaths, over a two year long DND campaign.

Last but certainly not least Ceruledge, the fire blades pokemon! Ceruledge is another ghost/fire Pokemon, that I picked due to incandescence's experiences. I like to think that a trainer who is good and kind to their pokemon could win very fierce loyalty from a Ceruledge, who can be quite merciless. Perhaps incandescence found Ceruledge, already evolved, and in a tight spot. Choosing to help the Pokemon she won the loyalty of this great warrior who has sworn to protect her. I'm sure her fiance greatly appreciates this, as after four deaths, it's blatantly obvious incandescence needs to be protected.

So there you have it, incandescence's team! 2 fire types, 1 fire/normal, 1 fire/flying, and 2 fire/ghost, while it's pretty clear how to win against her incandescence wouldn't want to be the best trainer by winning fights, she'd want to be the best trainer by loving her pokemon and treating them well.

In campaign incandescence has a tressym familiar that I based the idea of her Flareon off of. His name is bandit, and he's a prick. He's been with her for 28 years and counting, he's seen her lose both her parents, be betrayed by her closest friend and partner, be imprisoned, lose her child, search aimlessly for her daughter, eventually find her and fall in love along the way. He's seen it all, and he's gotten quite protective of her over the years. So he's a prick to people he doesn't trust her with, and was especially a prick to her now fiance, though he has shifted to be much friendlier watching her fiance pull her out of alcoholism, and her reckless ways, and support her unconditionally in every way he can.

Perhaps Flareon would be similarly prickly, especially given Glimk, her fiance, trains primarily grass type Pokemon

A collection of my dungeons and dragons characters as Ponies

Incandescence, my winged tiefling sorcerer, as an Alicorn. Obviously I looked as the princesses for reference with her, while she's not royalty, she is both a sorcerer, and a winged tiefling, and canonically my strongest character to date, so I felt if anyone was to be an Alicorn, it should be her! and technically she is nobility now after saving the world I also looked to Vampire Fluttershy for reference for her wings! I wanted each of my characters to be unique from one another, so I used vampire wings for her, and bat wings for Veracious.

Shinko, my tiefling barbarian/paladin, and her girlfriend Songen, a tiefling wizard, as an earth pony and unicorn respectively. For Shinko I really wanted to capture how big and brawny she is, so I used Big Macintosh as her body reference. For Songen I wanted the happy go lucky feel of Pinkie's bounding, as these two are so very in love and happy together it made sense for me to look to charmed Big Macintosh, and happy Pinkie.

Veracious, my tiefling wizard as a Pegasus (with bat wings because she's well... a tiefling) For Vera, who has incredibly long curly hair, I used Rarity's hair for reference, though Vera has much tighter curls as a tiefling, as a pony I took a bit of liberty to avoid making her hair look exactly the same as Songen's, as they have the same hair type.

I very obviously have a love for tieflings, I won't ever deny that, I also have a love for MLP that most people don't know about. If you ever need me to fill time for 30 to 45 minutes get me talking about MLP, I can go on and on, and about 30 minutes in is when I start to become self aware of my rambling.
