This is very true. In fact, a part of me even goes so far as to suspect that the authors of these well-written, decently paced and engaging stories are in fact published authors. And if they're not, well then that doesn't exactly speak well of the publishing companies that likely rejected them.

So, I decided to do an appreciation post for each member of the P4. Naturally, I started with my favorite, Gregory Violet. Ever since I got into the Public School Arc, I think Violet was my favorite of the P4. Part of it was because purple is one of my favorite colors and I love wolves. But what sealed it was that Violet not only is a bit dark, something I can respect and relate to, but he also is a talented artist, and he's unapologetically eccentric. The mark of a true artsy type. One of my favorite moments in the Manga (SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T READ THE MANGA YET) is when he makes Greenhill keep a ridiculous pose, so he can supposedly draw him. Yet, of the three sketches he does do, Greenhill is not even in a single one of them! One of them is literally just a maze leading to a cup of tea and a teapot. And when Greenhill finally breaks the pose, Violet bemoans the ruin of his 'masterpiece' and vents his frustrations by chucking a loaf of French bread (which he was using as an eraser for said sketches, no less) at Greenhill's head.

(I'm also a fan of Helluva Boss, so as Loopty Goopty would say, Violet is eccentric and must therefore do eccentric shit!)

Honestly all of these traits, right down to him screwing with Greenhill, quickly made Gregory my favorite Prefect and I can't wait to see more of him in the anime!

Soma wasn't initially one of my favorite characters. If anything, I used to find him a bit annoying. But after re-watching the anime, re-reading part of the Manga (and no spoilers, but the poor guy goes through HELL in the later chapters) and now seeing him in this season, he's actually kind of grown on me. It's funny how he can be several years older than Ciel and yet he's so innocent and adorable, if more than a little naive. But, while it still gets annoying at times, it's gotten to the point where, in my opinion at least, it's endearing. Love this little purple-haired curry bun!

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how beautiful and hilariously deceptive this is? Every single one of these boys, except maybe Edward, has some SERIOUS skeletons in their closet and here they all act like it's just another day in school. Ciel being the adorable little liar he is, using the same underhanded tactics he outed in someone else (and let me state for the record I am NOT defending Maurice Cole, I hate the croissant-shaped haired little prick) and we have Sebastian witnessing the whole scene, knowing full well what's up. And it is glorious. Also, how sweet does Violet look with that almost-smile? Yes, Violet is definitely my favorite of the P4, though Redmond is a close second.

I am so excited for this to come out on Cruncyroll! This was admittedly one of my favorite arcs in the Manga and after Book of Atlantic dropped, I was worried they might leave this out. But now, I'm fangirling so much and I can't wait!

Also, can we just appreciate how Violet has his tie tied into a bow? Because of course he does! Like Gregory Violet would ever do anything as basic as wearing his tie the 'normal' way.

New Headcanons for the Sing Hunger Games Idea

Marcus is the youngest victor in Panem's history up to that point, being fifteen when he won his Games. He also proposed to his girlfriend Megan before he left for the Games. Her parents wouldn't give their blessing, but immediately did so when Marcus returned to District 2 and proposed to Megan again. She said yes both times.

Marcus was also a volunteer, but unlike most from District 2, he didn't volunteer because he wanted to. He went in place of one of his brothers.

Johnny knows his father's past, but Marcus never talks about it for good reason, despite being a favorite in the Capitol and as a result, having to return to the Capitol each year for the Games.

Ash is from District 4, and up until the Games, she spends most of her time in a boat on the water, playing her guitar.

Darius is also from District 4, often citing how he'll definitely win the Games if he ever competes, since part of the Games are a reality show/beauty contest. When the pair are chosen as this year's Tributes, Ash often thinks Darius will have to rely on his sponsors since he can't fight.

Rosita is from the Capitol and (reluctantly) one of the Gamemakers. While she is thankful that none of her twenty-five children will ever have to enter the arena, she also feels guilty because of how her job will affect (and in some cases, end) the lives of other people's children.

Jimmy and Porsha are also from the Capitol, with Jimmy being one of the most vocal in his support for the Games. He's also 'good friends' with past victor and current mentor, Marcus.

Gunter is one of the only living victors from District 8. After his Games, like other victors, he had to have a talent for his public image, which turned out to be designing and making clothes, along with dancing. Not only is this something he genuinely is passionate about, but he also has years of practice, having worked in one of the many textile factories before he was reaped into his Games. Dancing is also a way to cope with the traumatic memories of what Gunter endured in the arena.

Meena still bakes, with her family owning and operating their own bakery in their District. While it is still a business, Meena often donates food to hungry families in an attempt to help others in her District. Which breaks the hearts of many when she is ultimately reaped into the Games, including Alfonso, the elephant who admires her from afar and volunteers to help protect her in the arena.

I was shocked to receive this news. I have been a fan of Dragon Ball Z since I was fifteen years old. And yes, that dates me a bit I can admit to that. I first started watching Kai back when it came on Nicktoons. Dragon Ball Z was the first anime I truly loved (alongside Inuyasha) and the first one that got me into anime to begin with. And I met so many wonderful people thanks to shared interest in this masterpiece of a series. And I will always be grateful to Akira Toriyama for creating the world and characters that saw me through the darkest parts of my high school years. Thank you, Mr. Toriyama and may you rest in peace.

So, I've been thinking of doing a fanfic of the Sing characters being in the Hunger Games. I'll have some headcanons posted later day/tomorrow. But in the meantime, what do you lot think of that as a possible fanfic idea? Personally, I'm a bit excited and I hope you'll enjoy what I've got planned for it.

Slight spoiler: Marcus (and as a result, Stan, Barry, and of course Johnny) comes from District 2, and in this universe, is a Victor from a previous Games. He's also one of the most infamous Victors for just HOW he won his Games. And how he ended up in the arena to begin with.
