Oh I see! It wasn't a fic per say, it was one of those hc/au edits on pinterest back when I didn't know tumblr and was discovering the fandom over there. That was the first time I was exposed to Preyna and that's what made me consider this ship, and the rest is history

Oh...okay so, that's kind of embarrassing, but you're sending me this literally two days after I accidentally deleted my phone page with all my fanfics links and bookmarks...so there's that

But I remember most of my favorites titles so I found them back (and also because there are so little rare pjo ships fics it wasn't that hard)

Where did I talk about this fic? The context and date could help me find the one you're talking about.

But for the one I already found again there's Permanent Swap and its associated drables, Masks (careful angst ahead) and Behind the Front that doesn't match exactly with your summary but which I love a lot.

Here's an idea! Not in a horror genre but a romance fantasy genre of a Werewolf AU, Percy and Rachel are mates! 

BUT Percy is a werewolf and Rachel is just a human! ALSO, Percy is in a relationship with Annabeth! They were dating before they turned 18. But the thing is they can only scented their mates after turning 18. So when Percy scented Rachel is his mate, he is so taken aback! Here are the problems:

First, Rachel is a human! How would he explain it to her that he is a werewolf? (Ofc Rachel have her suspicion about them, but she didn’t show it). Percy is the future alpha of the pack! Can they accept a human into their pack and let alone be their supposedly Luna? The alpha female of the pack?  

Secondly, they knew their decision to date despite knowing the possibility they were not each other’s mate, but it was still shocking. Annabeth was irritated. She has been prepared to be Luna. She calculated she was the one good enough for Percy. But now, a human is his mate? Ego’s bruised. Percy? On chokehold. By Annabeth’s glare, aaand the pressure of letting down his family and pack. 

Thirdly, even before he knew she’s his mate, secretly deep down, Rachel and Percy have a magnetic force that keeps them tangled in each other’s business, and they have their suspicion. They like each other overall and like being in each other presence. But she knows it well Percy and Annabeth are dating, so they keep their distance. No matter how wrong it feels. It’s the bond, forging already. 

Fourthly, and the real question is, so now what are they gonna do???

I can make it as complicated as that, but also maybe I could make it simpler, like, leaving Annabeth out of the equation. So now they just gotta deal with: telling Rachel that she is Percy’s mate and the pack having a problem accepting a human as the future pack’s Luna?

Or even romantic? Like them being both werewolves and just finding each other’s scent for the first time realizing they are mates. They are both happy and all fluff

Or romantic with a challenge like- Rachel’s father and Percy’s father are enemies/rivals alphas. So they oppose the idea that their kids are mates, they ask them to reject their mates! *gasp*  

Or even romantic with a beneficial relationship?? Because Rachel’s father and Percy’s father are both alphas and want their packs to be stronger, they made an alliance. What a ‘coincidence’ that their freshly turned 18 children are destined mates??? Oh, joy over the moon. 

Or maybe go unorthodox with the reverse role of having an alpha Rachel finding out her mate is just a human Percy?? Her dad won’t be happy :) Maybe she will against her dad’s order and then she’ll go rogue, eloping with Percy??! How scandalous.

I’m thinking of writing an Ethan x Anubis fic do you have any thoughts about them that I can steal

I actually really really like this ship idea, it sounds interesting! They sound familiar on some points but Ethan has this impulsive side that I could see Anubis being charmed by (we know his type). And Anubis has a calmness that would serve Ethan. They'd definitely be close friend for quite some time before any romantic feelings come into play.

Some thoughts come to mind : something about Ethan ending up in the "wrong" underworld, either right after his death, trying to leave or during some quest he would have gone through in the afterlife. I can see Anubis being intrigued by him and Ethan liking his mix of wisdom and proximity.

But in a completely different AU, what about an on the run Ethan ending up at the Brooklyn House. In an AU where Sadie would be with Walt and no fusion shenanigans ever happened, I can see Ethan meeting Anubis through Sadie (that I LOVE to imagine really close to her) and finding love with him the same way he would find a family with the Brooklyn House.

....or just ship Ethan/Sadie/Waltnubis. That sounds incredible.

"It's customary for Poseidon's children to name their firstborn after their love," Percy informed Jason in a completely calm, colorless voice. But his hands clutching the newborn boy were gentle. At least he loved their son.

Jason could take comfort in the fact that Percy loved a part of him.

"so..." Jason's voice faltered treacherously, "is this little Ethan?".

He knew his eyes were full of tears.

Percy nodded his head and lovingly pressed his lips to the forehead of their son, their Ethan.

Venus or Aphrodite just loves tragedy.

Jason knows that he’ll always be second place in Percy’s heart.

Sure he knows Percy loves him. He knows Percy would do anything for him. But he also knows that if things had gone differently Percy would have never even seen Jason as an option. Percy’s first born son would have brown eyes instead of blue.

Percy told Jason about Ethan Nakamura.

About how the son of Nemesis was Kronos’s general. About how Ethan wasn’t even his real name, it was a traditional Japanese name but he went by Ethan in America. Percy would laugh and say it was short for ethanol.

About how Ethan still went to school during the Titan war because even as much as Ethan hated the gods he loved his mortal father more and Ethan couldn’t bare to disappoint the man who sacrificed everything for him.

Jason had heard all about the issues in the Nakamura family. He learned that Ethan’s father was a world class lawyer. How Mr Nakamura emigrated to America when Ethan was still little specifically to be closer to camp half blood. How they still celebrated Christmas by getting KFC like they did in Japan and how Percy would bring over leftover Chinese food from his own family tradition.

How Ethan’s father was still in denial over his little boy’s death.

Percy had taken Jason to the graveyard where some of Ethan’s ashes were buried. Percy had lovingly introduced Jason to the headstone as if Ethan was still there.

Percy had shown Jason the tattoo he had gotten two weeks after the battle of Manhattan. When he still had the curse of Achilles. On the small of his back where Ethan’s actual Japanese name was written. Percy cried as he told Jason that Ethan’s ashes were mixed into the ink.

So yeah Jason knew their son’s name was gonna be Ethan.

But he also knew that no one else would know why because Percy only trusted Jason with the knowledge that Ethan Nakamura was Percy’s first and truest love.

So Jason was fine with second place.

Because Percy never made him feel like he was second place or a consolation prize.

Because Percy loved with everything he could give. And who was Jason to ask for anything more.

Jason was happy with his husband and son. He knows that when the baby is older they’ll tell him about the man he’s named after and why papa doesn’t celebrate his birthday.

And Jason knows that no matter what happens, his son will always have 3 parents. Even if one can only watch from Elysium.
