Earlier I made a post about Keanu Reeves being a Zionist and how upsetting it was until I got feedback asking for validation on the evidence. So I looked back at the evidences more closely and actually realized how…….well……clunky they were. There’s only very few of them and date back 10 years, meaning a lot could have changed and Keanu may no longer even support Israel.

That and I came across the person behind the feedback’s post calling out the recent trend of Keanu being labeled a Zionist and pointed out how strange it was for this to be trending now, right when his next big movie role is being announced, instead of any other time before. And honestly……yeah! They have a point! Reading it honestly made me look back and feel kinda embarrassed to have gotten so easily caught up in the train of “calling out a random celebrity for something controversial only when they’re gaining popularity”.

Doing something like that really does feels so fake and attention seeking and doesn’t even contribute to the actual crisis. We should focus more on doing whatever we can to help the people of Palestine (sharing links to donations/fundraisers, sharing stories of people who need our help, boycott and pirate pro-Israel brands, etc) instead of pointing fingers and calling out whichever celebrity may or may not have done this or that. People are dying!!!!

So yeah, I’m pretty ashamed of myself for getting caught up in all this and should have looked more closely at the sources earlier. I hope Keanu stands with Palestine, but until we get actual concrete proof, we don’t know and that’s all we can leave it at.
