When/how to properly discard spell jars?
I (Tara) personally only dispose of spell jars when I feel no longer connected to the spell or that it is complete and no longer serves me. I do not bury them, as it’s not safe for the environment, I prefer to protect myself and then open the jar and discard of the insides by burning them, and then cleansing my jar for reuse ✨

Lughnasadh is the celebration of the first grain Harvest (it is also known as Lammas, which is a word derived from “loaf mass”). Now is a time for gathering and giving thanks for blessed abundance! 🥖🧡✨

Happiest Lughnasadh! 🌾 I plan to sit down later this afternoon, after my shower, have a cup of tea and do this reading. Then before I go to work I’ll pick up any trash around the outside of the building I live in and then harvest the yarrow from my garden! ✨ How are you all celebrating this first harvest of the year? https://www.instagram.com/p/CSCqD-NJJq4/?utm_medium=tumblr

Wassail is a warm and delicious Yuletime drink ❤️
Originally used in ceremonies where villagers traveled through their fields and orchards in the middle of winter, they would sing and shout to drive away any spirits that might inhibit the growth of future crops. As part of this, they poured wine and cider on the ground to encourage growth.
That eventually turned into going door to door, singing and drinking to the health of their neighbors, and is what inspired Christmas caroling 🎶

Upright: Reaching the last pip in this suit of Wands you clearly can see what has been referred to as “the burn out”. Here the figure carries the weight of every choice and every action they’ve ever made. They carry their failures, disappointments and what they feel is the weight of the world, but truly it’s only the weight of their world.
Now is the time to make conscious decisions on what you should let go of. Find ways to forgive past versions of yourself, release what no longer serves you, choose not to carry what weighs you down with regret and shine light on what casts shadows in your life. You can start over, it takes time and the choice to do so.
The Ten of Wands is a perpetual state, as long as you continue to carry what weighs you down you will always feel limited.
Reversed: You’re not realized you’ve gone as far as you can go; from here on out it's an endless journey carrying all those damn sticks. The sooner you accept that starting over and facing yourself is the only way to escape this tiresome and redundant cycle you’ve found yourself in the sooner you can get back to feeling passionate and excited about life.

From “Secrets of the Waite-Smith Tarot” by Marcus Katz and Tali Goodwin I created these charts that give you the keyphrases presented in the book. The keyword system originally stems from the Golden Dawn’s Book T and if you’re not familiar with the Golden Dawn I suggest some research, but it’s important to know that both Smith and Waite were both members of the Golden Dawn.
Using these charts we can come up with keyphrases for each of the pip cards. For example if you drew the Ace of Wands you would create the keyphrase “Seed of Ambitions”.
This chart is helpful for any beginner to reference and has very traditional definitions supporting it.

Happy Sunday!
With the new moon in Scorpio, I thought it would be a great time to share some corresponding herbs and flowers.
Using any number of these in your spell work can help boost magic done during the current lunar phase.
Also, with Scorpio being ruled by planets Mars and Pluto, these are great herbs to use for spells focusing on shadow work and rebirth.

You have become overpowered by your desires.
Upright: When it comes to the suit of wands there isn’t much thought put towards your action but here in the Eight of Wands we see this change. Which direction the eight wands are being driven is determined by those little nodes on each wand, looking at these you can assume they’re pointed downward towards the earth. What could this mean? After a bit of self recognition and realization, you might come to the conclusion that you are a bit out of your depth and need more grounding. Now you need to shift your mindset and your agenda - if you don’t stabilize yourself what may not be what you wanted. Understand that this is a lesson the universe is putting together for you to learn and grow from.
Reversed: Are you ignoring all the signs asking you to slow down or even come to a complete stop? Is your ultimate goal more important than your peace? Is what you desire truly worth all the upset and chaos that comes with it? These are important questions that need your attention. Be honest with yourself before it’s too late.
