Hello. I am a fan that has been reading your translations on and off for Joyful Reunion. I love the story but life tends to get in the way. I am sorry to ask but I just had the question: I heard Joyful Reunion has an AU novel. Is that fanfiction or written by the author himself? If it is a canon AU by the author, what is the chinese and english name? Sorry and Thank you. Great work on the translations and hope you keep doing great work

The AU was written by the author himself for the traditional Chinese printed version of the novel, and it's hinted at throughout the main novel itself --- whenever Duan Ling has a dream, he's in the AU version of the novel, and the butterfly-dream reality is implied --- both stories are true. The butterfly-dream version of Duan Ling "dreams" of the main novel version of events and vice versa.

And it doesn't have a NAME, per say, but every chapter has a title, a line of poetry based on each of these 7 characters:

Wu Du, Lang Junxia, Zheng Yan, Chang Liujun, Li Jianhong, Duan Ling, and Li Yanqiu.

For instance, extra 1/7 is called 烈光星曜十九州 Ardent Starlight Shines on the Nineteen Provinces, in which "ardent light" is Wu Du, and the nineteen provinces is China.

Sometimes I doubt whether I am actually a Slytherin as Pottermore claims, but then I remember that for one of my final year film projects (where we had to find a client to make a film for) I lied on the paperwork brief by claiming I was making a film for a council that doesn’t exist, roped my Grandparents into helping me make the film (a historical documentary) and, at the end, had my Mother write the client review to submit, all because I was didn’t want to go through the effort of hunting for an actual client... this project got me a B.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT????
