i am here to make the case that (probably to many people’s dismay) Moose is 100% supposed to be Lupin. now obviously his looks are the biggest giveaway, this is something anyone can observe. but there’s more. his japanese name is ‘Pin,’ (or at least that’s how it’s written in romanji). he’s also wearing a red jacket in his portrait

all of his houses have included some combination of luxury items, games, pool tables, vintage (as in 70s) furniture, and/or an appearance as though it’s a secret hideout (note the concrete walls and camo flooring in new horizons), AND, his stereo plays Agent K.K. in city folk. Agent K.K. is very likely a parody of Zenigata march down to the album art (or at the very least, its detective show theming is very apt)

now this begs the question. why is he a mouse and not a monkey. i have no fucking clue. maybe it’s because of the whole tom and jerry thing. ok thanks for your time bye. sorry that this ugly rat is lupin

Aqua Deer Mafia AU

Morgen Faust: The Stag. The head of the Aqua Deer mafia. While mild and unassuming on the surface, Morgen is a driven man who doesn’t take kindly to injustice. He uses his connections in the mafia to track down and fight more sinister syndicates. Morgen will use violence and underhanded tactics to a degree but does reign in his mafia members to minimize the severity of their crimes. In this sense, the Aqua Deer are like vigilantes. Clover City officials are still very against the Aqua Deer as they’ve outed a number of corrupt individuals in the past.

Nacht Faust: The Buck. Morgen’s second-in-command and a double agent keeping tabs on the Black Bull mafia. (Yami, the leader of the Bulls, is aware of Nacht’s split allegiance but since it hasn’t harmed the Bulls yet, he lets it slide. For now.) He used to associate with another syndicate until they targeted Morgen to keep Nacht in line, only for that to push him to betray the group. He’s a master of disguise and infiltration, though his battle prowess is notable as well. Nacht has a habit of naming his belongings.

Gimodelo: Nacht’s favorite handgun.

Plumede: His motorcycle which he uses to get around the city.

Slotos: Body armor disguised as day-to-day clothing.

Walgner: A special phone that has been made largely untraceable thanks to Marx’s handiwork. 

Rill Boismortier: The Fawn. A new recruit to the Aqua Deer. Joined the mafia to find and punish people who’ve forged several of his artworks. He’s a martial arts prodigy, having learned multiple schools of fighting and using that knowledge to create his own mixed martial arts that is wildly unpredictable in a fight. The core of his fighting style is making use of the environment around him and his own enemies’ momentum to gain the upper hand.

Walter: The Moose. An older member of the Aqua Deer. Despite his age, he never had the ambition of taking charge of the mafia and instead trains younger members of the group such as Rill. There’s not a fighting style nor weapon that Walter isn’t at least familiar with. His social intelligence makes him invaluable for assessing public reactions and political backlash against the mafia’s activity.

Marx Francois: The Informant. A hacker and master at gathering information. Once employed by the government, he quit his job over disagreements about how the city government was turning Clover City into a surveillance state. He’s also wanted for leaking thousands of pages of government documents that were meant to be under lock and key.

Fragil Tormenta: The Calm. An underground doctor, giving medical aid to those who can’t pay the hospital bills or otherwise can’t legally be treated (ie. a criminal getting a bullet removed or stab wound stitched).

Another mafia group that is neither antagonistic towards the Aqua Deer nor friendly with them.

Discordia Helheim (Lyra's oc): The Vampire. She runs her own mafia group called The Coven. Known for her beauty and silver tongue which lures many a high profile man into a false sense of security. Infamous in the underground for bringing affairs and conspiracies to light without her identity being compromised.

Josele Canty (my oc): The Doe. A highly skilled assassin and Discordia’s right hand woman. Skilled in martial arts and can use anything as a weapon, having once killed a man with nothing more than a sewing kit. Her physical durability is inhuman, having survived car accidents without so much as a scratch and substances such as king cobra venom being proven ineffective against her. Though officially with The Coven, Josele is regularly hired by the Aqua Deer. This is against Discordia’s wishes.

Acylla Rhine (@faewraithsworld's oc): The Jewel. Josele’s weapon coordinator. She’s created firearms and bullets without metals so Josele can sneak them past metal detectors. She has a variety of purses, bottles, and other common looking items with false bottoms and hidden compartments to hide Josele’s tools. One of her more intriguing creations is a bra where the underwire is removable to be used as a garrote. She’s no slouch herself in a fight (able to make use of anything she’s invented), but she prefers working behind the scenes.

Moros Helheim (Lyra's oc, again): The Thrall. Discordia’s husband and advisor in the mafia. He doesn’t hold much true power in The Coven but him being allowed in at all is a big privilege.

"Personality: Robin is a penguin who is considered quiet and contemplative. They're always willing to offer a flipper to those who need it. Often times they would rather help others than help themself out.

While they can seem nervous, they have grown a lot since coming to the island - even if there are setbacks along the way.

Background:

Born not on the island - but arrived when they were just a little chick. Their father and older sibling were actually part of the team that helped get Club Penguin into a site ready for penguins to come live in loads as well as the very beginning construction plans of everything alongside Aunt Arctic.

Things… occurred, and soon Aunt Arctic was the sole one left on their project with their sibling gone and their father taking them to another island to live after. A very stern penguin overall - having disagreed with the direction that the island went on - he was very harsh on Robin.

Sometimes you just gotta waltz with your MAG agents for some quality enrichment time. The Human is my OC Keon, and the MAG's name is Moose! He likes to wear blue claw caps when off duty. He's not the best combatant despite being a V2, preferring to be in a support role. He's an excellent sentry and a great line cook.

2021 Crowley Big Bang Art Masterpost

This is my art piece for the 2021 Crowley Resurrection Reverse Bang, and I was so pleased to partner with @l​esbiantoziers who wrote the perfect story based on the art. Every Crowley fan should read “The Affable Demon’s Guide to Hunting & Fan Conventions” on AO3.

Something unforgivably missing from the later seasons of spn was more Monster of the Week cases where Crowley works with the boys, whether for his own personal gain, out of boredom, or a general desire to do good without being called out on it. This piece of art was inspired by the vague idea of Crowley attending an in-canon Supernatural convention alongside the boys to work a case. An inability to draw people has always resulted in collage still life art, and I wanted to include as many details in the image as possible, to visually construct a story.

I drew from the in-universe spn convention the Winchesters attended in 5.09 "The Real Ghostbuster" for the date of the convention and the “Supernatural” title. If the convention is still going on, this would make it the 12th annual convention. The QR code on the tickets actually works, and it takes you to the Crowley Big Bang Tumblr blog.

The pentagram is taken directly from the logo behind Chuck on stage from that episode.

Though the Winchesters normally gain access to a location as federal agents, having them attend the convention as fans of themselves was hilarious to me. Hence the need for badges, modeled off similar items from conventions and conferences I’ve attended for work. And because they’d likely need special access to certain parts of the convention, they purchased the VIP “Shotgun In The Impala” level pass. Or maybe they just swiped them, who knows with those two.

The photo in the bottom left is of Crowley and Dean singing, and the banner above, half hidden, says Karaoke Competition. I know that real-world conventions have karaoke night, and I thought it might be fun to have Crowley Dean - willingly? be forced into? - participating in one. After all, demon!Dean loved karaoke.

In trying to figure out a way to visually que to the viewer that this was a Monster of the Week case, I decided to include a text message on Crowley’s phone. And because it’s set in a canon-divergent reality after Crowley closed the Gates of Hell and occasionally joins the Winchesters in working cases, I could include Juliet and Eileen as well. The idea of Eileen dog-sitting for Juliet and having a bit of a girl’s night while the boys were away hopefully adds a layer of almost-domesticity depth to a Monster of the week setting.

Because this was a Crowley-centric fic, the in-canon Supernatural book in the top right corner is among Chuck's "Abandon All Hope", the first “book” from the series which featured Crowley. The holy water shot glass is something I’ve seen sold on various fan sites, and given Dean and & Crowley’s enjoyment of nights at the bar, I thought it might be something either Dean or Crowley might purchase as a souvenir of the convention case.

(Also, hilarious to think that Dean might have purchased it to keep around the bunker, and occasionally fill with vodka and offer to Crowley in a demonic game of Russian Roulette. Is it holy water or isn’t it?)

Some of the buttons are real convention tchotchkes. The moose button, the “I Love Pie” and “You’re Good, But I’m Crowley” are all buttons that are available at fan conventions and online. The Castiel and Crowley Pop figurines are modeled off of the real Pop figurines that were gifted to me and now stand on my folklore and media studies bookshelf. (Crowley is often knocked off my cats.)

The "Sold My Soul To Save Crowley's" button isn't a real one; I made it myself based off the "Sold My Soul To Save..." buttons popular for Sam and Dean. There was never enough Crowley-positive fan merch. While there are buttons and magnets and keychains that read “I Kissed Crowley”, there are none that put him in the line-up with Sam, Dean and Cas as deserving to be saved by the fandom, even though he very much deserved to be. Hence I made my own, offering to figuratively sell my soul to save his own.

Lastly, there is the “Proud To Be An Aca Fan”, because that’s what I am. An aca fan is an academic who's a fan of the show, or someone who employs academic theories and principles in their enjoyment of the show. (Think the Pop Cultural & Philosophy book series, or Wisecrack on YouTube.) Aca fans are usually marginalized in fandom spaces – we “do fandom wrong” and make others feel guilt for how they engage with fandom, apparently. I am proud to be one, nonetheless, and wanted to include a reference to that in this piece of fan art.

The fic that @l​esbiantoziers crafted from all of this was as detailed as the art, well-written, wonderfully in-character with some great dialogue, and absolutely hilarious. Thank you so much to the @crowleybigbang for this reverse round!

Red+Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe

“Hey Betts, did you pick up Jules from day care?”

“No, I’m in the office and what are you doing there in the middle of the day?”

“The dinner was empty so pops gave me my lunch break earlier, I thought in would visit her” his voice a little frantic now. “She’s not here Betts” he finished in a whisper

“What...what do you mean she’s not there? Did you check properly, maybe she’s in the washroom. Did you check in with mrs.Pierce?”

“No she isn’t here”

“Okay so before we start panicking...”

“Hey mister Jones, Juliet is just over at the ball pool.” She heard the old woman’s voice over the phone.

At the same time she got a notification on the computer screen in front of her with Juliet’s taped up face plaster over it. Her face paled at the sight.

She didn’t notice her partner detective mason who was now beside her and took the phone from her.

“Jughead, you need to come here now”

Jughead rushed over to the FBI headquarters as fast as his legs would take him. He knew something was wrong, Juliet was not at the ball pool.

“Moose where’s betty? Is it Juliet? Is she okay?”

“Jughead, before I let you go in there, I need you to remember this is our job and we will find her.”

“What are you talking about?!” Not waiting for a reply, he rushed into to Betty’s office who was just as pale as when she first got the news.

He ran to her side and pulled her into his arms. She clutched onto his t-shirt and sobbed into his chest.

Pulling her more firmly against him he turned back to Moose “Can someone tell me what the hell is going on?”

“Juliet was kidnapped”

Before Jughead could react, Betty’s phone rang with an ‘unknown’ number. Moose picked it up and put it on speaker.

“Agent Cooper...sorry Jones, I hope my gift reached you?” Came a cocky altered voice

Moose quickly assembled a team to trace the phone call and gestured a now quietened Betty to keep the caller talking.

“Who are you? What do you want?” Her voice desperate

“Ahh not so easily, I want you to come at 83rd street 8pm, come alone and unarmed if you want her back”

“How do I know if she’s even alive?” Her heart pained thinking of the alternative but she knew she had to do this. “I want to talk to her”

“No” the caller replied and cut the call.

“I’m sorry Betty, we couldn’t get the location” Moose said desperate to help his friends

A second later another message came through with the subject line “Proof of life”

The video showed a rundown room with no indication to where it could be and Juliet sat there with the tape still on her face, puffy eyes and a cut on her temple. Betty looked away from the screen, what kind of a person would do this to a 6 year old?

After examining and re-examining the video and multiple failed attempts at trying to get the two Jones to go home, Jughead spoke up “Betts look at her hand”

“Is that Morse code, you taught a 6 year old morse code?” Spoke up one of the agents.

Ignoring her, Betty wrote down the letters that her daughter had spelt out

RED HAIR

“It’s Archie.” Archie ‘the red paladin’ Andrews was the most wanted bank robber who’s partner Reggie Mantle she had caught just over a month ago, but unfortunately they didn’t have enough evidence to keep Archie.

“He’s doing this for Reggie” Moose finished for her. Looking at the rest of the group he shouted “I want every file on Archie Andrews and Reggie Mantle and his last location”

Betty shook her head “no, I’ve got a tracker on him.”

“I found him at an art gallery and planted one on him” she explained at everyone’s questioning look “I never stopped working his case” she said relived, they were going to find her baby.

After an exhausting rescue mission which led them to a warehouse behind pop’s, they managed to got Juliet safely back to her parents and got Archie on kidnapping and attempted murder of a federal agent.

Two days later, the family of three sat in Betty’s hospital room with Pop’s takeout. The father and daughter duo were careful of Betty’s injured should which now had a bandage over her bullet wound.

Juliet was not hurt physically other than a few surface scratches, but she had endured severe physiological trauma. After the incident gone was her bubbly personality, she would stick to her parents and woke up with multiple nightmares in the weeks to follow.

Betty and Jughead hated seeing her like this and would rarely leave her side but were happy to have her back with them.

Archie on the other hand was sentenced to life in prison with the help of new found evidence on his involvement in the bank robberies in addition to his other charges.
