The Golden Dawn Mafia AU!

William Vangeance: The King. He grew up in poverty and was mostly ignored by everyone, until eventually it was revealed to him that he is the bastard child of a major company’s CEO, and was set to inherit it. But after moving in with his father and step-mother his neglect and mistreatment only grew worse. Until eventually he ran away as a young teen and stumbled into a high class bar that was run and owned by Julius Novachrono called “The Grey Deer”, and Julius took him under his wing (along with Morgen Faust, Yami Sukehiro, and Marx Francois) and eventually showed him his true business before helping him establish his own “Mafia Family”.

Zera Cassia: The Queen. She is the youngest child and only daughter of Rika Cassia, the leader of a world renowned Mafia group. Originally she wasn’t supposed to get involved in the “underworld” like her father and brothers, but they all found that she seemed to have a knack for it and so was put in charge of smuggling things in and out of the city of Clover. Many suitors asked for her hand, not because they loved her, but because they wanted her family’s power and influence. So in order to get the suitors to stop harassing her decided to choose a random mafia leader to marry; William Vangeance.

Yuno Grinberryall: The Ace. He is the son of a wealthy CEO and his wife, and is an only child. After his father was killed when he was an infant he was raised by his mother and was set to inherit his father’s company after he became of age. But at the age of 15 he discovered that his father was assassinated by a mafia family called the Zogratis’s, and so after some searching he went to the Golden Dawn mafia family and joined them to find out who killed his father and to take revenge while also keeping his mother and the company safe from the Zogratis family.

Neva Belmonte: The Diamond. She is the adopted sister of William and is the daughter of a popular chef and baker. When she was 7 years old her parents were killed during a robbery and because she had no living relatives was sent to an orphanage. She wasn’t there long as the next day William Vangeance, a good friend of her parents, came to get her and raised her as his little sister ever since. He tried his best to keep her away from the mafia life, but instead she ran right for it, and ended up becoming one of the strongest in the family. She is referred to as “the Princess of the Golden Dawn” by the other family members.

Mimosa Vermillion: The Flower. She is the daughter of a wealthy mafia family, but instead of joining the family like they expected her to, she decided to join the Golden Dawn and become the mafia family’s in-house doctor.

Klaus Lunettes: The Lance. The son of a well to do business man, Klaus was projected to go to college and take over his fathers business once he decided to retire. But after he witnessed William Vangeance and his mafia family help a group a young women that the cops ignored and wouldn’t help, he found that he admired them. So instead of taking over his fathers business, he decided to join the Golden Dawn.

David Swallow: The Joker. He is cunning, sly, and is one heck of a gambler. After trying and getting caught cheating at cards, he was saved from being killed by William and Langris Vaude. To repay his debt, he decided to join the Golden Dawn. Now he runs the gambling houses and casino’s that are in the Golden Dawn’s territory.

Alecdora Sandler: The Jack. He is the son of a wealthy business man and is the heir to his families ‘empire’. When he was a teen he was kidnapped and held for ransom for days, and just as he was about to give up hope of being rescued he was found by William Vangeance and his mafia family the Golden Dawn. But instead of going back to his family, he decided to join William, and he works hard everday to try and repay him for saving his life.

Letoile Becquerel: The Navigator. She is the daughter of computer engineers, and has always been very good at computers and communications. She is the Golden Dawn’s chief navigator and always makes sure that the family is where they need to be and gets to where they need to go. She tends to work off-site, and uses in-ear comm’s in order to communicate with the family.

Langris Vaude: The Knight. He is the youngest son of the Vaude family and is their pride and joy. He initially joined the Golden Dawn at his parents request, since they wanted to keep tabs on William and what he was doing with their money, but after a while Langris found he began to admire the man and started to follow him willingly. He mainly takes care of the business side of things, and leaves the “shadier” side to the others as he doesn’t like it nor does he want to be associated with it.

The Crimson Lion Kings Mafia AU

Fuegoleon Vermillion: The Lion. Comes from a well-known mafia family, and inherited the leadership role of it since his older sister was far more interested in pursuing her own goals rather than governing an entire mafia, even though she comes around every once in a while. Fuegoleon has been in the business for his entire life, and is in rivalry with another old mafia of Clover, The Silver Eagles. However, it wasn’t the Silver Eagles that resulted into his “accident”, but rather he had come into possession of a jewel that held very little monetary value, but proved to be of significant symbolic importance to a person that was affiliated with William Vangeance, the Leader, for some time. This “accident” ended up costing him his arm, and putting him into a coma for 6 months, after which he was given a state of the art prosthetic arm, which functions, or at least they say, better than his ‘normal’ arm. It is rumoured that as a result of this incident, he became even more dangerous.

Solara Equinox: The Lioness. Is the first-born daughter of a CEO of a large foreign company that deals in international business. She was in Clover for a business trip, getting familiar with the local business scenery when she ran into Mereoleona at a gym, and they ended up becoming friends first outside of The Work. Later she fell in love with Fuegoleon, and decided to stay to aid the mafia empire, while still staying in contact with her family and the company, thus providing some aid to the Crimson Lion Kings when possible from a third party source. 

Mereoleona Vermillion: The Uncrowned. The older sister of Fuegoleon, who is more interested in solo missions than running a mafia. This, however, doesn’t make her any less dangerous. In fact, most agree that she is far more so. More reckless. More unpredictable. And she functions solely according to her own morals, whatever those might be. She has been rumoured to hold the greatest amount of devotion to her family though, but none has been brave enough to test that theory, not ever since The Incident. 

Leopold Vermillion: The Oath Taker. The youngest of the Vermillion family. He has vowed to become the next leader of the Vermillion Mafia and make his family proud of him. He is creative and quick-witted, managing to combine the combat styles of both of his siblings. He can be loud and explosive, but there is a calculated method in his madness. Because of his boisterous exterior, his opponents often underestimate him. Which is, more often than not, a lethal mistake in this business. 

Randal Luftair: The Wind. The right hand man of the Lion, who is extremely skilled in all types of long distance combat from fire-arms to throwing knives and crossbows. Has also been reported to be highly skilled in handling four wheeled motor vehicles. His personality is polite, calm and collected, but don’t let it fool you, because in combat he is swift as the wind.

Nozel Silva

The Silver Eagle. Cold, calculating leader, who is not known for leniency. He was raised in a Silver Eagles Mafia family and his mother Acier used to be the previous head. However she died, when he was just fourteen. Teenage Nozel had to grow up fast to take her place and it made him even more dangerous.

Nebra Silva

The mist informant. Nebra is the queen of intel and information gathering. She is discreet and cunning. Nebra has a wide web of spies and informants, keeping tabs on everything. If you want to know something, go to Nebra and she will find out.

Solid Silva

The water serpent. Young Solid is ready for action. He wants to prove himself and he knows he will, because he is of the Silva family. Solid is cocky, very much and he doesn't know when to hit the brakes. This makes him unpredictable and a bit of a wild card. The only person he truly respects is his older brother Nozel.

Noelle Silva

The outcast. Noelle was pushed away by her siblings from her youngest years. She never knew why and they truly never gave the details, except for blaming her for her mother's death. So Noelle did not grow up with the Glory of the Silver Eagle's base. When she was fifteen, she left her home. She wished to become strong... because despite her siblings pushing her down Noelle subconsciously continued on fighting.

Helena Drazel

The doctor. Helena comes from Diamond country's Drazel Mafia. Her mother used to be friends with a late Silver Eagle's leader Acier. Helena arrives at their headquarters and uncovers their secrets. She joins the Mafia, even though she is not of violent nature. Helena is a qualified doctor, she runs the medical operations and takes care of the wounded. She develops a relationship with the leader Nozel Silva, although no one actually knows what they are about.

Gabriel Drazel

New addition. Gabriel is dedicated, trained and was prepared to take his rightful place as the next Drazel Mafia head. However some outside circumstances made him leave his home for a while and join his older sister. He becomes a formidable Silver Eagles member despite not having the best relationship with their leader. However they respect each others' strengths.

Nils Ragus

Ice needle. Nils is a lower rank member of the Silver Eagles Mafia. He does side jobs, but is very accurate at doing them. He takes his duties very seriously and is respectful towards his leader.

Curtis Warren

Solid Rock. A long term member of the Silver Eagles Mafia. He is very loyal and is known for alway getting a job done. A reliable member of the mafia.

Acier Silva

The princess. Acier was the previous head of the Silver Eagles mafia. She was smart, cunning and protected her own. Acier was the best of the best, easily making the Silver Eagles one of the best gangs. However she died in mysterious circumstances after giving birth to her youngest child Noelle.

Aqua Deer Mafia AU

Morgen Faust: The Stag. The head of the Aqua Deer mafia. While mild and unassuming on the surface, Morgen is a driven man who doesn’t take kindly to injustice. He uses his connections in the mafia to track down and fight more sinister syndicates. Morgen will use violence and underhanded tactics to a degree but does reign in his mafia members to minimize the severity of their crimes. In this sense, the Aqua Deer are like vigilantes. Clover City officials are still very against the Aqua Deer as they’ve outed a number of corrupt individuals in the past.

Nacht Faust: The Buck. Morgen’s second-in-command and a double agent keeping tabs on the Black Bull mafia. (Yami, the leader of the Bulls, is aware of Nacht’s split allegiance but since it hasn’t harmed the Bulls yet, he lets it slide. For now.) He used to associate with another syndicate until they targeted Morgen to keep Nacht in line, only for that to push him to betray the group. He’s a master of disguise and infiltration, though his battle prowess is notable as well. Nacht has a habit of naming his belongings.

Gimodelo: Nacht’s favorite handgun.

Plumede: His motorcycle which he uses to get around the city.

Slotos: Body armor disguised as day-to-day clothing.

Walgner: A special phone that has been made largely untraceable thanks to Marx’s handiwork. 

Rill Boismortier: The Fawn. A new recruit to the Aqua Deer. Joined the mafia to find and punish people who’ve forged several of his artworks. He’s a martial arts prodigy, having learned multiple schools of fighting and using that knowledge to create his own mixed martial arts that is wildly unpredictable in a fight. The core of his fighting style is making use of the environment around him and his own enemies’ momentum to gain the upper hand.

Walter: The Moose. An older member of the Aqua Deer. Despite his age, he never had the ambition of taking charge of the mafia and instead trains younger members of the group such as Rill. There’s not a fighting style nor weapon that Walter isn’t at least familiar with. His social intelligence makes him invaluable for assessing public reactions and political backlash against the mafia’s activity.

Marx Francois: The Informant. A hacker and master at gathering information. Once employed by the government, he quit his job over disagreements about how the city government was turning Clover City into a surveillance state. He’s also wanted for leaking thousands of pages of government documents that were meant to be under lock and key.

Fragil Tormenta: The Calm. An underground doctor, giving medical aid to those who can’t pay the hospital bills or otherwise can’t legally be treated (ie. a criminal getting a bullet removed or stab wound stitched).

Another mafia group that is neither antagonistic towards the Aqua Deer nor friendly with them.

Discordia Helheim (Lyra's oc): The Vampire. She runs her own mafia group called The Coven. Known for her beauty and silver tongue which lures many a high profile man into a false sense of security. Infamous in the underground for bringing affairs and conspiracies to light without her identity being compromised.

Josele Canty (my oc): The Doe. A highly skilled assassin and Discordia’s right hand woman. Skilled in martial arts and can use anything as a weapon, having once killed a man with nothing more than a sewing kit. Her physical durability is inhuman, having survived car accidents without so much as a scratch and substances such as king cobra venom being proven ineffective against her. Though officially with The Coven, Josele is regularly hired by the Aqua Deer. This is against Discordia’s wishes.

Acylla Rhine (@faewraithsworld's oc): The Jewel. Josele’s weapon coordinator. She’s created firearms and bullets without metals so Josele can sneak them past metal detectors. She has a variety of purses, bottles, and other common looking items with false bottoms and hidden compartments to hide Josele’s tools. One of her more intriguing creations is a bra where the underwire is removable to be used as a garrote. She’s no slouch herself in a fight (able to make use of anything she’s invented), but she prefers working behind the scenes.

Moros Helheim (Lyra's oc, again): The Thrall. Discordia’s husband and advisor in the mafia. He doesn’t hold much true power in The Coven but him being allowed in at all is a big privilege.

A/n: not quite how i feel about my portrayal of mafia aus but i would love to hear what you all think! happy that at least this one get an immediate happy ending....unlike babel...that book is destroying me and i love it. you can find part 1 right here!

It had only been mere weeks since the whole kidnapping ordeal and it genuinely scared you how quickly you were adjusting to your new living situation. While you hadn’t been entirely closed off from the works of the underground world prior to Mark and Jaebeom faking their deaths, it was terrifying being around and exposed to just about everything that was going on behind the scenes. As much as Jaebeom did his best to keep things out of the home, both your and your son’s sake, it wasn’t any feat, with some of the violent aftermath making its presence known more oftentime than not.

Bloodied shirts, bruised skin, tattered jackets, the smell of gunpowder - inadvertently reminding you of the smell of violence - it all seemed to seep into your current life more than you would’ve preferred.

“Mom?” Isak called out, poking his head into your room where you were currently putting away some laundry. “When’s Dad coming home?”

Ah. Then there was Mark. 

While he didn’t live at the house with you guys, he was almost always there, driving Jaebeom up a wall. You had to give it to him though. Mark was trying his hardest to be a present father, and husband, never failing to spend time with the two of you to the best of his ability. It was truly moving to see him putting in as much effort as he was. 

Although that shouldn’t have been surprising to you in the slightest. Even when you were just dating years back and during the first few years of your marriage, he had been like this. Maybe it was the fact that he had so gracefully slipped back into his role as your man and didn’t so much as falter filling his role as a dad. It was hard to hold a grudge when you still loved the man as much as you did, and when he was so clearly doing his best to show you that his feelings for you hadn’t changed, only multiplied tenfold during your time apart. 

“Soon,” you responded softly, looking over at him as you folded a shirt. You hoped at least.

Isak went to say something when he heard the front door open and ran towards it giggling the entire way. As much as you figured it would be fine to allow him to wander to the front door to greet whoever had just arrived, you had absolutely no idea what condition they were in. Tossing aside the jeans you were now holding, you rushed out of the room, just barely managing to catch up to Isak and grab his arm just before he could reach the foyer.

And thank the heavens you made the choice you did because there stood a battered Mark being held up by a nearly unscathed Jaebeom. Your eyes widened taking in your struggling husband but pulled yourself together enough to address Isak, managing to convince him to go play in his room ( bribes were a parents best friend after all in time of great need ). With him gone, you rushed the two of them further into the living room, trying your best to find where Mark hurt the most to begin treating him as best as you could.

“I’m fine,” Mark groaned as your hands danced over his body. “Really, I’m fine.”

“You’re not fine!” you scolded. “Jaebeom, bring me the first aid kit.”

Not questioning you, Jaebeom rushed off to get the kit. You helped Mark get out of his shirt, wincing as you saw the number of bruises that were starting to bloom on his skin. And…were those burns?

“What happened?” you asked, pulling away slightly, taking the kit as Jaebeom offered it to you. “Go keep Isak distracted while I patch him up.”

With Jaebeom gone, Mark relaxed a bit only wincing when the alcohol stung a bit too hard in particular scrapes. “We were supposed to only do a routine weapons trade with a gang not far from here. They thought they could get away with more than they bargained for. Tried to blow up the whole pier.”

“You covered Jaebeom, didn't you,” you interrupted. Mark looked away from you. “You can’t make stupid decisions like that anymore, Mark! You have a son who practically idolizes you now that you’re in his life. And if you were to actually die this time…I don’t know what I would do with myself.”

Mark’s hands cupped your face, lifting it to look at his own. The pads of his thumbs wiped away the tears that you hadn’t realized had even fallen.

“Don’t cry,” Mark begged. “Don’t cry. Not for me. I can’t stand to see you cry.”

“How can I not? You mean too much for me to lose, again.”

Mark swore he felt his heart shatter at your words. Instead of saying anything he ignored the pain as he pulled you up and into his arms, holding you close to him. Neither of you said another word, there wasn’t any need to. Your actions alone spoke volumes all on their own. It was clear that you’d made your decision on taking him back. Taking your whole life back, even if it was no longer the same as before. You’d already forgiven and forgotten everything.

1st idea - combining a bit of what we talked about with Eris about a victorian style Wordgirl with the testubular five plus other stuff. So this is a Victorian/Sherlock Holmes/Steampunk Wordgirl au where Becky, who is 13/14 in this au goes by the hero name Shadow Girl instead of Wordgirl as she dresses up in all black with a black hood, cape, eye mask with a silver star. She is secretive about this and her identity due to the social cues and constructs of the Victorian era as it was improper back then for a lady to wear trousers (pants). She serves as an investigator/crime fighter with Scotland Yard. The villains have a mafia/organized crime type of deal with Professor Terror at the top Branch. Becky Boxleitner is the daughter of researcher Professor Steven Boxleitner who represent Jekyll and Hyde with Professor Terror being Hyde (Eris's idea). The Wordgirl villains are a mix of upper class, middle class, and lower class people. Those with superpowers are not meta humans but were given their abilities when they asked Professor Terror for them. It was all willing and no trickery involved. Lady Redundant Woman was a disgruntled middle class worker who asked Professor Terror the power to prove she can be the boss so he gave her the power of duplication and creating duplicates of other people as well. Nocan is actually a viking warrior who was frozen in ice before Professor Terror thawed him out. The villains are a mixed of inventors, cons, those who asked Professor Terror for power, or families with dark secrets of their own. See not every villain received their powers from Professor Terror. Some like Rhyme, Chuck, Invisibill, Victoria, and Eileen were injected with their powers from a few top scientists that were part of an old group called the Testubule (Testubular) Five. They become bosses at one point or another. Calvin, Athena, and Steven already villains while Doohickey and Tubing tragic villains. Becky does not know about her father being Professor Terror but he does know about her being shadow girl and does not mind her heroic choices but wishes she wouldn't put herself in harms way. The reason he knows was that Becky wasn't an alien. When Becky was very small, she had gotten very sick, Steven tried to help her as much he could with the doctors and medicine of that time but it was no use. Then Professor Terror decides to try other worldly means and steals a space rock from a museum to create the antidote. The rock was Lexonite which gave Becky her powers and healed her. Ironically it still weakens her if she is exposed to it like in canon. Bob was a pet monkey that was given to Steven after Becky was born after his 1st wife, Teresa, disappeared mysteriously. Your Carrie lore happens in this au also. As for Amazo Guy, he is a traveling teacher/ male child manny. (nanny for men.)
