“Isn’t this just wild?” Tilly nearly jumped when she suddenly noticed Misery’s proximity to her as they sat next to each other in the theater. What was supposed to be a nice, casual afternoon outing had devolved into seeing a new musical in Goldgrave. Though they were both a bit skeptical upon entering, about halfway through the first act, the plot had turned into something a bit more sultry. Tilly wasn’t used to such bold displays of the lead actors on stage, and couldn’t believe their state of undress all for the sake of putting on a good show. But she couldn’t say she didn't enjoy it at least a little bit.

Now, Misery was mere inches away from her lips touching her ear, and her senses were intoxicated with her fragrance - something warm with hints of vanilla. Normally perfumes gave her a horrible headache, but this time it felt…nice? Calming, even.

Tilly turned to face the other woman, who hadn’t yet pulled away. A mischievous twinkle danced in her golden irises and a smirk played on her glossed lips. Misery whispered again. “Do you think the lead guy is hot…?”

The lead guy? Tilly couldn’t pick him out of a crowd. She wanted to tell Misery that she was way hotter, but the words couldn't seem to formulate in her mouth. All she could do was watch Misery’s lips as she spoke. Her face felt hot and she had no idea what was going on on stage anymore.

“No.”

Misery snorted at her bluntness. Tilly smiled. Someone behind them went “Shhhhhh!”

Misery looked as if she was about to turn around to protest, but Tilly reached out to grab her hand, squeezing it and leaning in close to whisper to the other woman.

“Don’t worry. I’ll hex them later.”
