Fun fact; the human body /keeps/ the muscles it has, but underneath the fat it gains.

So even tho post-Endorë Finwë is soft and huggable like an elven squishmellow, he probably has, if not all, then at least most of the strength he had in Endorë. That plus all the energy his body now has in the steady food (nourishment) intake, plus the restful sleep, plus the peaceful environment.

Well, considering all that, Finwë is probably physically stronger than he was in Endorë (to the confused terror of his children and fascinated awe of his grandchildren, lmao)

Laniakea - The Supercluster of Galaxies🌌

Or: the infodump I'm writing to prevent myself from feeling upset.

Earth is part of our solar system, that is part of our home galaxy called Miky Way, which is part of a 'local group' of galaxies, which itself is part of a bigger group of galaxies called the Virgo cluster.

But the Virgo cluster itself is just one of a large number of galaxy clusters, themselves collections of hundreds to thousands of large galaxies which have been mapped out in the nearby Universe: the Virgo cluster, with the Centaurus cluster, the Great Attractor, the Norma Cluster & many others!

Together, they make up a much larger structure & if you sum up every galaxy in it, it is fully anticipated that the total number should exceed 100,000.

This is the collection of matter that is called beautifully after the hawaiian word which means 'immense heaven'

✨️Laniakea✨️

But let's start with the beginning, shan't we?

The Big Bang happened roughly 13.8 billion years ago & in the early stage of all that matter, antimatter, radiation, fields, etcetera, there wasn't a uniform sea of these energetic quanta.

Instead, there were tiny imperfections ⁠- at about the 0.003% level, which is VERY VERY SMALL- on all scales, where some regions had slightly more or slightly less matter-and-energy than average.

In each one of these regions, a great cosmic race ensued. The race was between two competing phenomena:

The EXPANSION, which works to drive all the matter & energy apart

The GRAVITATION, which works to pull all forms of energy together & causes massive material to clump & cluster together

With both normal matter & dark matter populating our Universe - but not in sufficient quantities to cause the entire Universe to recollapse (IMPERFECTIONS saved us!) ⁠- the first star formations happened & then star clusters, with the first ones appearing less than 200 million years after the Big Bang.

Over the next few hundred million years, structure began to appear on even larger larger scales, with the first galaxies forming, star clusters merging together, & even galaxies growing to attract matter from the lower-density regions nearby.

As time went on & on, galaxies gravitated together to form the Universe’s first galaxy clusters. With up to thousands of Milky Way-sized galaxies in them, massive mergers form giant elliptical behemoths at the cores of these clusters!

On even larger spatial scales & even longer timescales, the cosmic web began to take shape, with filaments of dark matter tracing out a series of interconnecting lines.

Dark matter drives the gravitational growth of the Universe, while normal matter interacts through forces other than gravity as well, leading to the formation of gas clumps, new stars & even new galaxies on long enough timescales.

Meanwhile, the space between the filaments, the so-called underdense regions of the Universe, give up their matter to the surrounding structures, becoming great cosmic voids.

Galaxies dot these filaments & fall into the larger cosmic structures where multiple filaments intersect.

On long enough timescales, the most spectacular nexuses of matter even began attracting one another, causing galaxy groups & clusters to begin forming even larger structures:

💫Galactic Superclusters💫

For me, it's a beautiful & a very comforting idea that represents structures on scales larger than a visual inspection would reveal.

But there’s a problem with Laniakea in particular & with superclusters in general: these are not real, bound structures, but only apparent structures that are currently in the process of dissolving away entirely.

There isn't just this "race" between an initial expansion & the counteracting gravitational force caused by matter & radiation.

In addition, there’s also a positive form of energy: dark energy. It causes the recession of distant galaxies to speed up as time goes on & gets more relevant the bigger the scale gets from which you look at it.

If there were no dark energy, Laniakea would most certainly be real.

Over time, its galaxies and clusters would all mutually mutually attract, leading to an enormous grouping of 100,000+ galaxies!

Unfortunately, dark energy became the dominant factor in our Universe’s evolution approximately 6 billion years ago & the various components of the Laniakea supercluster are already accelerating away from one another.

Billions of years from now, Laniakea will be torn apart by the Universe’s expansion, forever adrift as lonesome islands in the great cosmic ocean.

A bit sad, huh?

🌌Multi-eyes🌌 in My Crown In Red 👑

This is the last one of the bigger infodumps I plan on doing! This one won't be as complicated as the others, but it's still an important topic that I want to explain for those curious!

In this post I'll go over

🌌- What multi-eyes are

🌌- Forms and experiences of multi-eyes

🌌What are multi-eyes?🌌

A multi-eye is a naturally occurring multiverse anomaly, which grants the affected insight into the inner workings of the world around them.

A multi-eye is able to look into the multiverse, gaining knowledge about things they shouldn't be aware of. A seer if you will. Depending on the individual, a multi-eye might take one look at you and be able to spill your entire life story without even having met you. They can also have knowledge about the future, other universes etc...

You are born a multi-eye, and can't become one via training, the same way a multi-eye can't train their powers to become stronger, or discard of their powers!

🌌What are multi-eyes not?🌌

Multi-eyes are exceptionally rare, being the only known ultiverse anomaly that occurs naturally and without needing any universe distortion for it to appear.

Considering all the different realities in MCIR's multiverse, stumbling across a multi-eye is incredibly rare.

This is important to remember, as not every "character" that breaks the fourth wall is a multi-eye. Almost every time a person from a cartoon makes a self aware joke, or an individual is seemingly aware of the workings of their own reality, it's most likely the multiverse covering a possibility, or the individual existing inside a bubble, in which the multiverse functions differently.

Even people from video games, who seem to be aware of the players existence, or are able to control the game they exist in, via erasing safe states or installing text files on your PC, are never guaranteed to be multi-eyes!

The only way to know for sure, would be to have multi-eye like powers yourself!

🌌Forms and experiences of multi-eyes🌌

There are different forms of multi-eyes that all vary in their ways of obtaining knowledge.

Let's sort them into three different stages!

-Stage 1:

Stage one multi-eyes struggle the most when it comes to gaining the knowledge they need. Most of the time they don't have information right away and need to concentrate on it for longer, sorting their thoughts into right and wrong until something feels correct. A multi-eye at stage one might also struggle more with one type of information, while being able to gain another kind more easily! They also tend to get things wrong sometimes, and are not as reliable as you think they would be.

Demonsoul is the perfect example of a stage one multi-eye. For example, she's able to gain knowledge about other realities pretty easily, but struggles immensely when trying to gain information about her own universe. She's also better at telling the past than she is predicting the future.

-Stage 2:

A multi-eye at stage two would be able to gain knowledge much more smoothly! Most of the time they don't have to think about the information they want to have, they're just born with most of their knowledge already. They might still face some limitations though.

In the course of MCIR's story, Demonsoul miraculously manages to stumble across another multi-eye by accident. They are aware of the role their universe is playing and already have all the knowledge they could desire when it comes to the past and present, but cannot predict the future at all, no matter how hard they try!

-Stage 3:

Also sometimes referred to as a "true multi-eye" by Demonsoul! A true multi-eye doesn't face any form of limitation. A multi-eye on stage 3 is simply all knowing, facing no struggles when it comes to obtaining knowledge.

As stated earlier, multi-eyes are born with their abilities, and can't really train to become better, expert for perhaps gaining a tiny bit of reliability here and there. They also can't get rid of or drown out their abilities!

Some multi-eyes have always had their powers, while others may need more time for their powers to develop! As children, multi-eyes (especially those in stage 1) might hold strange beliefs on how the world around them functions, as their powers are slowly starting to grow, granting them knowledge.

A multi-eye cannot not control their powers. They might be living their lifes and just like that, they suddenly have a bunch of personal information about somebody close to them, which makes them feel uncomfortable. They might also have pictures flashing before their eyes, unable to intervene, which is something relatively common for a "weaker" multi-eye

A multi-eye on stage one might also rely on their instincts a lot of the time, trying to go by their gut when attempting to obtain information. It can be difficult for them to have trust in their abilities, when sometimes they just can't get the knowledge they want, or sometimes need to have.

Being a multi-eye can be great as it can be awful. It can feel very isolating, knowing that nobody would ever believe you when you told them the truth, or being aware about terrible things unfolding around you, while others are able to live on, as oblivious as ever.

I think I might've gotten too science-y and unhinged bc I'm an absolute nerd but HERE IS THE SPACEY SPACE EHE

Also YES I heard about Betelguese!! Exciting!! I sincerely hope I'll get to see it supernova in my lifetime (luckily it's far enough that the rays of its supernova wont obliterate us dont worry guys) but its highly unpredictable when itll go ka-blooey!! Today? A week? A thousand years? We dont know it's just SOON! That's what makes it exciting!

Anyway INTO THE INFODUMP!! Did you know that Neptune rains DIAMONDS, and that Venus rains sulfuric ACID? It might be painful to stand in but hot DAMN itd be a sight. Idk the idea of walking along a dark blue, ominous and empty path in a spacesuit and softly crunching diamonds into millions of glittery pieces as you look up at the stars is just,, (I know you'd have to absolutely stomp with the force of a ton worth of elephants to crunch diamonds but you get me)

Saturn is not the only planet with rings! Uranus and Jupiter have them as well! Uranus's rings are vertical bc of the planet being on its side, and Jupiter's rings are too small to see

Another fact, a meteor's color also depends on its chemical composition, for example blue/teal signifies magnesium, red is nitrogen or oxygen, purple is calcium, and so forth (I wonder if it's possible to mix their components to get a rainbow??). Mars' sunset also has a similiar fashion, its sunset is actually blue! Still onto the topic of colors, theres this real cool thing called redshift that happens when scientists observe distant celestial objects. Basically the farther a galaxy is, the more red it will appear. This is because of said redshift, which happens when the light waves approach to our eyes, but are actually stretched out on the way (which if you remember middle school science, red is the longest color wavelength on the visible spectrum)! This is believed to be caused by the rapid expansion of our universe and not the Doppler phenomenon (I think)

ALSO ALSO did you know scientists believe that there is a 9th planet in our solar system? AND ITS 10X LARGER THAN EARTH!? WOOOO! They have been able to detect gravitational pull and changes as well as a possible moon of the planet, just cant locate it. And speaking of planet location, Neptune was actually discovered by mathematics based on the occasional disturbance of Uranus' orbit! (I sound like a nerd rn but stay with me)

I would also like to bring on the fkn ENORMOUS size of space, like,, take the dwarf galaxy beside us as an example, The Small Megallanic Cloud. Apparently that "small" cloud has 3 BILLION STARS and 7 BILLION SOLAR MASSES like if THATS small then call me atom-fucking-woman. And those size comparison of the universe yt videos? M I N D B L O W I N G

And finally I just wanna gush about black holes,, like their event horizons are so cool looking,, they're on the border of a beautiful, peaceful horizon of a sunset yet a chaotic tidal force of bent light that could turn you into spaghetti 🍝🍝 (literally it's called spaghettification)

🌌- what was your first date like?

Ayato - honestly, the way I imagine ayato and I is mostly in an arranged marriage type thing (I have a differently designed sona for it and everything khsjfsdj). our first 'date' i guess would be considered the boat trip back from watatsumi island (where the wedding took place) and we drank ginger tea and chatted about folklore and mythology <3

Lucifer - he's a very traditional sort, he's very careful to make sure none of our regular hangouts could be misconstrued as dates until both of us are entirely ready (which id totally misread as him friendzoning me and be sad about). but the first date he makes a reservation at a nice restaurant and works really hard to make it this Whole Memorable Thing but honestly i still consider our first date to be that time he let me pace around his study and infodump about my favourite book series for 40 minutes while he nodded politely and did paperwork.

theres something extraordinarily perfect to me about the "A white flag torn from a wedding gown" line, especially considering my sona's whole gender situation in this fic and the fuckery surrounding that. this au/fic holds a very dear place in my heart and honestly i need to keep writing it because i love it so much <3

Capitano - Black Bear (by Black Bear) sort of gives me him vibes, and the kind of wistfulness and envy the singer has towards the bear just. vibes. and also the way i write him. he is literally a black bear. so thats kind of funny

Diavolo - ok i have a few songs that vibe with this ship but there's a specific one that gave me SUCH brainrot recently about an au in which he and i are like hades and persephone and theres just SUCH a vibe and aesthetic surrounding it that makes me INSANE. Lucifer - There's something about 'Never Love an Anchor' by The Crane Wives that really tickles the Lucifer itch in my brain and the angst resonates SO MUCH with him. This section in particular just gives me SO MANY feels and makes me want to write disgustingly depressing angst of the ship ,,

🏠- what's your and your f/os dream home?

Ayato - the estate beloved <3 but also i could see us having a holiday home in liyue, since its where we went for our (very belated) honeymoon and we liked it a lot !!

Diavolo - I think he'd be very emotionally attached to the Demon Lord's Castle but I could also see us getting a sort of smaller, more modern style house closer to the main bulk of the Devildom where we end up spending a lot of our time.

Lucifer - He's very attached to the House of Lamentation and despite all his complaints he and his siblings are pack bonded and if they're separated they'll all die of loneliness and broken hearts (and also his siblings are too dumb to survive more than a few days without him), but I could see us having basically the inverse of Diavolo's in which we get a small place in the human world or something that we can stay in for a few days at a time just to get away from things!

which works out great because i like to express affection via listening to people and asking questions (even if im worried those questions may be silly)

though also i think we both have some nontraditional affection styles involving headbutting and just. tugging clothing/hair, maybe some biting (/affectionate)

hmm, I'd imagine we go on lots of walks! It's a good, low-impact thing we can do while chatting away! Though we'd also probably go to lots of cafes, and maybe go on hikes and such because I bet there's plenty of places he'd want to take me to hehe <3

(for a little context: draven&harper were dating, sarah has no direct connection to them really, but they do interact eventually. that's the simplest way i can put it for now 🫠)

🌟: funny you ask this, because draven's nickname is actually starboy<3 i suppose he and harper would often go stargazing together... (theyr so cute together honestly!! waaa so sad i wrote them a sad ending...) they think about eachother!! i think even after the beginning events of the story, draven still looks at the stars every now and then to think of her </33333 (i'm not crying u are)

📸: aaa! honestly i think harper is sorta like me, who, doesn't mind being in group photos, or having her picture taken by someone else, but if she feels pretty she will take a million selfies.... slay. harper is also an artist, so i suppose from time to time she takes pictures to use as reference photos. (AAAH!!! im imagining her telling draven to pose a certain way, so she can take a picture for reference... how cute omg couple goals me and WHO!!!)

🌌: oh boy!!! the inspo for sarah was mostly character elements from the second terminator movie. i guess my excuse for naming her sarah is because of sarah connor haha (that is also why i made her a girlboss) i can't quite remember, but one of the first things i remember deciding about her, is that she's got like, undertale levels of determination. she won't back down from something unless she dies, pretty much. (which makes her such a great main character!! go queen!!!)

An infodump about stars? Let's go!

🌟What are stars?🌟

Stars are massive, luminous spheres of plasma that emit energy through nuclear fusion. They are the building blocks of galaxies & responsible for creating & sustaining life on Earth.

It’s impossible to know how many stars exist, but it's estimated that in our Milky Way alone, there are about 300 billion.

There are many different types of stars: from small, dim red dwarfs to massive, bright supergiants.

The classification of stars is based on their size, temperature, & brightness in the Hertzsprung-Russell-Diagram.

The most common types of stars are main-sequence stars, which are in a stable state & fuse hydrogen into helium in their nuclei.

There are also red giants, which have exhausted their hydrogen fuel & are now converting helium into heavier elements, with iron being the last element possible (they can't fuse iron)

Then there are white dwarfs, which are remnants of small or medium-sized stars that have exhausted their fuel

And my favourite type of stars: neutron stars, which are incredibly dense remnants of supernova explosions.

Stars come in a wide variety of sizes: some are only a few times larger than the Earth, while others are hundreds of times larger than our Sun.

The largest known star is UY Scuti, which is estimated to be 1700 times larger than our Sun. If UY Scuti were located in the centre of our solar system, it would be beyond the orbit of Saturn.

While the largest stars are certainly impressive, they are also relatively rare. Most of the stars in the universe are much smaller than our sun & the most common type is red dwarfs (yes, NOT the yellow main-sequence stars!).

The colour of a star is determined by its temperature, with colder stars appearing red and hotter stars appearing blue.

The most common colour of stars is yellow. Yellow stars are usually main-sequence stars, with hydrogen being converted into helium in their nuclei.

Yellow stars exist in a stable state of nuclear fusion, converting hydrogen to helium & radiating x-rays. This process emits an enormous amount of energy, keeping the star hot and shining brightly.

Offended: WHY IS THE BEST COLOURED STAR CALLED BROWN INSTEAD OF THE MOST MAGNIFICENT COLOUR: PURPLE???

🌟How do stars form?🌟

Stars are formed from clouds of hydrogen & dust that collapse under the influence of their own gravity. These clouds are called nebulae. When a cloud collapses, it heats up & starts to rotate, forming a protostar.

When the protostar reaches a certain temperature & pressure, nuclear fusion begins with that the star is born.

🌟How long do stars live?🌟

Stars spend 90% of their lives in their main sequence phase.

But all stars run out of their valuable fuel someday.

Smaller stars will simply disappear into obscurity, while larger stars will undergo a massive explosion known as a supernova. The remnants of these explosions can form black holes or neutron stars.

The lifespan of a star, therefore, depends on its mass.

Smaller stars burn their fuel much more slowly than larger ones, which means they have a much longer lifespan.

A red dwarf star can burn for trillions of years, while a massive supergiant may only last a few million years.

Earth’s sun is considered an average-size yellow dwarf star & is 4.6 billion years old & it's predicted that the sun will remain in its main sequence stage for several billion more years until it evolves into a red giant.

The red giant phase is actually a prelude to a star shedding its outer layers & becoming a small, dense body called a white dwarf.

White dwarfs cool for billions of years. Some, if they exist as part of a binary star system, may gather excess matter from their companion stars until their surfaces explode, triggering a bright nova.

Eventually, all white dwarfs go dark & cease producing energy. At this point, which we have yet to observe, they become known as black dwarfs.
