My Monster Prom OCs: Part 1

In February of this year, I made 2 Monster Prom OCs, and, if this tag is still active, want to know what you think of them! (btw, they are both a fictional species, I’ll explain later)

How I made them is I made a “blueprint” for what they would look like in a character creator, then I tweaked the designs to what I was thinking for them.

Idk how to ask for this, but fanart would be appreciated!

Here is Wren Olivetti. She is a Pabaat (fictional). Please don’t laugh at the legs, I was still learning anatomy

And here is Dayde Sydelis, a Limffi (also fictional).

Since Tumblr only allows 10 images per post, I’ll need to upload the expressions separately, so I’ll show Wren’s expressions and I’ll show you Dayde’s in another post about my Monster Prom OCs.

Now about their species…

What if I told you that I made entire train-of-thought rambles about their species? I literally just wrote down what came into my head and expanded from there. I think I wrote them during class.

this is how i imagine certain slashers would calm their s/o down while experiencing minor anxiety and negative thoughts

would make you tea from the stash the both of you kept from disposed-of campers

would awkwardly pat your thigh if you're sitting together or your head if you're standing

he tries so hard to be gentle but after so much time of being brutish and heavy handed its still difficult for him

gives you small bones and skulls of dead animals that he has polished to display in your shared cabin so that you can touch and feel to keep your mind off of the panic within you

has you sit in his lap and lets you focus on and touch his mask

takes you for a walk to the lake or to your secret meadow where the two of you can breathe in the crisp air and make flower crowns with all the pretty wildflowers

stares at you from the doorway while you're curled up in a ball on your bed

wants to do something but doesn't know the first thing about giving comfort

tries real hard though

brings you anxiety medication he finds in his victims' medicine cabinets

you won't use other people's medication of course, but its the thought that counts

lies next to you on his back as stiff as a board for you to cuddle into

hates it but if it will help calm you down he'll grit through his touch aversion

will sit next to you and let you explore his mask

otherwise he will just hover close by, hoping his presence will calm you some in letting you know you're not alone and he's here for you. in his own way

👻 billy loomis 🔪

will put on your favorite horror film or comedy and lie with his head in your lap so that you can play with his hair

will have the two of you make choccy milkshakes in the kitchen together, to keep you busy with something you enjoy

will smother you with gentle attention to keep your mind away from its panicked self. soft kisses on your forehead, cheeks, lips, nose, chin. everywhere

will take you to your special spot: the outlook overlooking the valley. will then hold your hand and chat away about movies and music

otherwise he will simply be the big spoon on your bed and hold you close while whispering soothing words to you

🚜 thomas hewitt 👔

once you show signs of your negative emotions and anxiety he will quickly lift you up and take you to the porch swing where he'll sit both of you down and bask in the warm sunshine while he holds you close to him and nuzzles into the crook of your neck

will keep you busy with tending the farm animals and let you pet the friendly ones noting how you seem to calm down feeling the warm fur beneath your fingers

if the house has the ingredients for it he will bring you to the kitchen where you and him can bake pie or cookies

if you experience some anxiety at night in the bedroom he'll have you sit on his lap by the rocking chair next to his open window to feel the crisp night breeze waft over you and cool your flushed skin down

doesn't know how to comfort you and gets angry

will start cussing at himself and pace back and forth in a panic

will ask you what you want a hundred times over

"you want a soda pop?" "you want a snack?" "maybe a burger from the diner. i can quickly go and get you one?" "can i put a dvd on for you?" and on and on he'll go

will eventually break down himself and hold onto you so tightly you cannot breathe anymore

will then whisper words of affirmation and praise to you, begging you to stop feeling so bad

if that fails he'll guide you to his truck to take a drive on the highway knowing you enjoy short roadtrips and the feeling of the wind whipping against your face from the open window

will stop at the next town's convenience store and buy you lots of candy and chips

if you struggle with anxiety or anything else that impacts on your life in a negative way please know you are not alone and are loved and that help is not hard to find.

Okay so it turns out niche reclists are really hard. I have no idea how you and @sitp-recs do it. A million kudos to everyone who does these. Anyway, thanks @mxlfoydraco for the nudge I needed to get this going! This one was inspired by a post I reblogged from @corvuscrowned about the universal truth that love is stored in cows. I can't say enough good things about this fic. Not only does the word "cow" appear 41 times, but it is a central point in the story of Draco and Harry's gentle love for each other. When everyone else gets tired of Draco talking constantly about his cows, Harry listens. I am also in love with Mexican Harry exploring his heritage and also learning the harp (!!). A beautiful meditation of the kind of love that makes a friendship and a home.

This fic speaks for itself, but what I love most about it is the way it deals with grief. Harry is a hoarder; Draco is grieving. A gorgeous classic.

I am reccing this fic even though it's still a WIP because 1) The last update was a few days ago, 2) it's SO GOOD, and 3) there are named cows and mysterious necromantic flowers. Harry has a farm and keeps his life secret from the magical world, but slowly he begins to let Draco in. Go give the author some e(bull)ient praise!

Honourable Mentions (below the cut)

There are a surprising number of fics featuring farms but with no mention of cows. Curiouser and curiouser! Where did they go? It's a moo-stery. Of course, the reasonable explanation is that the farms are simply not cow farms (we'll ignore this for the present, because after all, these fics still have the lovely spirit of cows, and that's really what matters). So:

Here are a few fics involving drarry and farms:

Knead by @jovialobservationanchor: While there are no cows, Luna and Ginny's beautiful farm has thestrals, white bison, an erumpent, and a thunderbird.

Third Quarter Moon by pourcesalad: A nearly complete wip (you've been warned) featuring werewolf!Draco who works on a muggle farm, and a fascinating take on the treatment of werewolves in magical society.

Fruit Stand by @drarrily-we-row-along: Draco grows peaches and keeps bees. Breathtaking, soft, and tender.

In conclusion, the world is unfortunately deficient in drarry + cows fics. My dear writers, it would be so wonderful if there were more cows on your farms and in your steamy cowboy fics and on your roadtrips and countryside vistas (and if they had names)! A roadtrip in the car or train with no real destination in mind, or no place to be. I have to say when it comes to trains no place where you have to go with them is like the only way you can enjoy trains at the moment here in Germany I think.

Lemons - what’s your favorite type of dessert?

I don't really have a favorite one for that. It always depends on what I am craving at the moment. At the moment I would answer with a brownie.

New - what would you do if you won the lottery?

Not really much different I would say. I would just have to worry a lot less. Maybe I would add another concert here or there, buy my own car, or help my sister with her dream of having her own horse, but I can't think of anything else I would really do with the money atm I guess.

Striking - what’s your favorite color?
