On the outskirts of Gotham a farm is made.

No one can pinpoint when it was started but it was clearly bountiful.

New orchards of plums apples and several other fruit whisper promises of fruits in the years to come.

Bee houses buzzed with life and ducks quacked and scurried to and from their pond, coop and the garden.

Vegetables by the rows with seasonal berries brushes spring up at the corners of the property.

Greenery that almost seemed to glow with how lush it was.

It was like a small oasis in the desert of Gotham’s dirty land.

And it was ran by only three people.

The woman’s name was Sam. She was known as an activist who seemed to do the primary care of the plants. The property was in her name and she went out of her way to invite people to take what they need.

Danny was the most well known of the trio. He brought the produce into the heart of the city. Anywhere that would take the food, kitchens, pantries, school cafeterias even people’s doorsteps.

Tucker was the technical mastermind, hidden but equally important. The sprinklers, planning of the pollination rotation, harvesting planning and statistics were his main focus on the farm. Not a single square inch of the the land was not under his watchful gaze.

All the food was fresh or properly stored and most interesting of all free.

Of course people were going to talk.

guys, okay so i know probably no one cares but like i am so genuinely happy rn. me and my partner both had the day off and we decided to have a fun day trip/official first date ☺️ we went to the science center a couple hours from where we live, got fancy ramen from a ramen restaurant (i’ve never done that before) and go walk around a big game store. i had the best day EVER. as a kid, i LOVED the science center. today healed my inner child in a way i didn’t think would be able to be fixed.

10/10 best day ever.

SHOUTS I’m replaying PSMD right now and honestly going through this I really, truly think that PMD Sky is the Perfect Game. The game ever, if you will.

Things I’ve noticed playing PSMD and comparing it to PMD2:

-It takes Eight Years just to get through one dungeon seriously why the FUCK does it take me 15 minutes just to get through three floors. I can scale three floors in PMD2 in under a minute the pacing in the dungeons is just SO much better. Also the wild Pokemon feel way more balanced regarding actual appearance? In PSMD it’s like every time I turn a corner there’s an enemy Pokemon it’s never ending I cannot catch a break ever

-PSMD has that garbage feature where moves get “powered up” the more you use them. The issue with this is that base moves absolutely suck ass AND their accuracy is god awful so I’ll miss like 3 or 4 attacks in a row. Why. WHY is it this bad. It should not be this bad. Moves had a way more reliable accuracy in PMD2 and you could power them up by choice so their base power was already good from the beginning

-More about pacing, the actual story…takes so long to get started…I’m fairly certain that you spend more time in Serene Village in school than you do at the Expedition Society, which is supposed to be the main catch of the game. You barely ever get to explore on your own until like. Post game. AND the fact that the story forces you to proceed, there’s not a lot of times where you can stall and go to dungeons to stock up on items or grind some levels. In PMD2 you can do whatever the fuck you want and go wherever you want (within reason) and stall out the main game for as LONG as you want. AKA me grinding levels until I’m 15 above where I should be at that point in the game, which I enjoy bc I’m a sucker who loves being overpowered and absolutely dominating boss fights.

-PSMD’s recruiting system…the concept is cool but the execution is reeeally bad. The fact that you can only recruit ONE of each Pokemon and that they aren’t always readily available when you need them? Logically it makes sense but as a gameplay mechanic it’s so terrible, I don’t want to have to wait a day to get the member I want to use or rearrange my team bc someone is out for the day;; PMD2…okay you get my point right you can recruit as many of the same Pokemon as you want in PMD2 and take them with you whenever you want

Anyway I love PSMD so very much but GOD it has a lot of flaws. Meanwhile PMD2 my beloved who’s never done anything wrong in its life ever and continues to be the pinnacle of all PMD games. My original thought was that nothing could ever compare to PMD2’s plot but now I’m starting to think it’s the same for its game mechanics as well lol

#im not cut out for working #and i have to do it all again at 5am 😭 #i got to hide out in a residents room and help her untangle yarn though 😂 she was 90 and very there mentally #(alao really progressive 🥳🥰) #she told my work partner about her life while i undid knots #also* #i probably squeezed out an hour of hour thirty until my instructor found us #but she didn't yell or anything and was please to see us listening to/talking with the residents #she stayed in the room for probably 15 minutes talking with her too #other than that i fed a resident and got my hand drooled on (didnt freak out or immediately leave to wash my hands 🥳 ) #sat in to help with bingo...got talked into dancing ymca and the cha cha slide with the lady operating the bingo for them 😂 #almost all of us cnas were caught dancing by another who walked by laughing before joining #and i got told i couldn't “drive” bec i accidentally knocked a wheelchair into another while trying to get someone into the dining room 😭 #my first resident was really sweet though and told the lady i was “learning” 🥹💕 then she told me to stay away from her “grouchy table” 😂 #anywaysss i got off at around 5 and the hours have slipped by already 🥴 #idk how people work 5 days in a row full time or at all really #i miss my mom 😭 #also i feel really incompetent and a little like a burden to nurses not too happy to have students around 🫠 #but overall they're really nice. just a bit of the 'duhhh' tones / answers when we ask shit 😂
