[ RESCUE ]  for one muse to intervene upon seeing a third party making the other one uncomfortable.
With Ghost/Rudy and Graves as the third party (Grave looks like the mfo that ignores boundariesl?
Two in one day, that's it. I'ma marry all of you. But yes, Graves is an dumbass that messes with things that aren't his and if that thing belongs to Ghost? Well, this mf is dead.
Rudy feels the exhaustion take its toll on him as he leaves the cargo crate, the interrogation with Valeria going south quick, and Alejandro is still hurt over her betrayal. He feed the flames by continuously arguing with her despite Rudy's pleads for them to stop and talk like adults. Neither listened, giving him that look they always gave him when he tried putting himself in the middle to prevent them from going at each other's throats: a warning. While Alejandro acted like an alpha male, Valeria was an alpha female, both stubborn and needing to always be right (Valeria moreso than Ale). In simple words, it has always been tiring to be in the middle of their arguments but Rudy despised fighting, his household having always been a place where arguments were born.
He shakes his head at his thoughts, knowing that the deal with Valeria has pros and cons, but it isn't the first time she gave intel and it ended up being an ambush. He walks over to a table that had been set up, peering at the multiple maps of different locations, knowing any chance of a decent sleep wasn't due until this shitshow was done.
"Your friend, has he always had a short temper?" A hand of his shoulder startles him, turning around and sighing out softly when he saw that it was only Graves. The American has been nice so far, but Rudy has always been naive and oblivious, the dark look in Graves' blue eyes flying over his head.
"I would be lying if I said no." Rudy answers, chuckling softly as Graves let out a laugh. "Our connection with Valeria just upsets him at times, but the mission is always important. I know he'll get over it and be in the right mind."
"Good, we can't afford anyone losing their cool. So, I've noted you're quite the quiet man. Is there any reason?" Graves edges closer, his eyes staring Rudy down, and now something feels wrong to the sergeant major. He tries to back up, only to wince when his back connected with the table he had been leaning over. It's okay, Graves is an ally and the others are near, he reassures himself.
"Uh, no. I've always been shy I guess, according to my mother and Alejandro." Rudy averts his eyes from the smirking man, trying to find Alejandro but his best friend wasn't anywhere near. He flinches when Graves rests a hand on his left hip, body so close to his own and Rudy felt uncomfortable. "Sir, can you back up a bit?"
"No can do, Rudy, I like this view. You under me, so small and weak. I'm sure you've done this plenty of times before." Graves taunts, but it serves Rudy's confusion. Done what? And he was not weak or small.
"You're making me uncomfortable, please move." Rudy tries wiggling past Graves, only to whimper when he slammed back against the table, nearly falling on his back. He pushes at the taller man's chest, shrinking into himself when Graves leans closer to his face and whispers in his ear.
"You're not in the position to order me around, Parra. Do as I say or else." Rudy whimpers again, about to call out for Alejandro when Graves slaps a hand over his mouth, silencing him. His expression twisted into a glare, eyes giving a warning and Rudy suddenly feels small, weak. "What did I just say? You're in for it now."
"What the bloody hell are you doing?" A deep voice booms from behind Graves, who immediately steps away and turns his head to see Ghost standing a meter away from them. Even with his mask on, Ghost was clearly pissed, eyes darker and his stance ready to attack. Graves holds his hands up in mock surrender, sidestepping away from the Biritsh man.
"Just having a friendly talk with Rodolfo, right?" He points his stare to a pale Rudy, who nods quickly, eyes averted to the floor. He smirks, walking past Ghost after patting him on the shoulder. "See you in 30."
Ghost watches the American retreat to where the others headed off, making sure it was only him and Rudy before walking over to the smaller male. He frowns as Rudy flinches away from him, arms wrapped around his torso, hugging himself– shielding himself.
"Rudy..." "I'm fine, I promise." Rudy cuts off, forcing a small smile but Ghost shakes his head, removing his headgear and mask and setting it on the table besides the sergeant major, holding a hand up but not touching Rudy. Instead he gives the other a look, and Rudy hesitates before nodding, their silent conversation saying a lot with only a few stares. Ghost inspects the shorter, the weight that appeared on his shoulders when he saw Graves cornering Rudy lifting as he doesn't find any visible injuries.
"Do you want me to kick his arse?" Ghost says, attempting for humour, but Rudy shakes his head quickly, fear settling in those wide chocolate brown eyes.
"No, no its fine. I'm fine. Let's just drop it, please?" Rudy is begging, and Ghost knows it's bad. Despite the two barely meeting, they connected quickly when Ghost apologized for being the source of fear to Rudy. The smaller male was quick to laugh it off nervously, stating he's fine and even pleading with Ghost to not apologize. Ghost picked it up, the pleading a sign that Rudy was scared, upset, worried, or anxious. They talked more after that and had some things in common. Ghost felt an immediate pull, the need to protect Rudy at all costs. He often caught himself staring at Rudy for a minute too long, eyes racking over the slim build of the smaller male.
"Rodolfo, if he ever comes near you again, you have my order to beat him to a bloody pulp, understand?" Despite being in the military, the special forces nonetheless, Rudy always hated having to fight. He had gave Ghost some lore to his childhood, his home not a safe haven with his drunk of a father constantly abusing him and his mother. Rudy was the youngest of three, two older brothers having left as soon as they could.
"Ghost..." Rudy trails off when Ghost gives him a look, "Okay. I promise." He fidgets as they settle in silence, staring up at Ghost through his long and dark lashes; and Ghost leans down the slightest, dark eyes meeting dark eyes, and he sends another message. He cups Rudy's face gently.
"Ghost" Rudy breathes out, leaning into the touch. "Simon." Rudy gives him a look of confusion.
"Mi nombre es Simon." Rudy's eyes widen and Ghost closes the distance, pressing his lips against the soft and plump ones that belonged to the shorter man. Rudy hesitates the first few seconds before pressing back, draping his arms over Ghost's broad shoulders and wrapping a leg around the bigger man's waist.
"Simon, por favor." He begs and Ghost growls against his neck, carrying Rudy somewhere more private. He knows Rudy wouldn't be comfortable making quite a display where anywhere can walk in and see, but Ghost has no problem doing it one day to make sure everyone, including Graves, knew who Rudy belonged to.

Uhm,,👉🏽👈🏽 could I request a lil smth for draco who maybe has a crush(?) on a hufflepuff who's rowdy but acts like a sweetheart once you're close enough to them? Very much someone who play fights but will also hold hands an kiss their friends, if u don't wanna it's okay! sorry if this is a bit much <:0
Owl Me. {Draco Malfoy x Hufflepuff!Reader}
(if you wanted this in the reader’s pov i sincerely apologize)
Warnings: fluff, maybe one curse word, jealous!draco
a/n: this is legit my first request ever, and I had so much fun writing it. however, I’m not really sure if I like the final product so please leave some feedback if you can.... anyways,, enjoy!!
She is holding my hand.
She is holding my hand.
SHE is HOLDING MY HAND.
Don’t screw this up, you bloody idiot.
“Malfoy, you need to hurry! We’re going to miss the announcement!” Y/N dragged me along, leading the way down to the Great Hall.
“Don’t get your knickers in a twist, L/N, I’m sure McGonagall is still fixing her hair--” Letting go of my hand, she whacked my shoulder, “--ow!”
“Can it.” She narrowed her eyes. However, her glare softened up quickly as her amused laugh filled the corridor. I stopped dead in my tracks, crossing my arms, nevertheless she began yanking at me once again.
“Okay, I’m sorry!” Y/N surrendered, “But seriously? Move faster.”
Deciding to oblige with the incessant Hufflepuff, we ran down the last of the corridor, making it to the Great Hall just in time. Enveloped by the awkward silence, we parted ways, sitting at our respective tables as Professor McGonagall began her speech.
“Sneaking off with the ‘puff?” Whispered Blaise.
I immediately scoffed, rubbing my shoulder, “I wouldn’t call her that…”
“--The Yule Ball is first and foremost, a dance. I expect nothing less than standard behavior, and I will be most seriously displeased if any Hogwarts student embarrasses the school in any way…” McGonagall continued.
From across the room I could already see Cedric Diggory staring at Y/N, who kept her eyes trained on the professor, completely oblivious. I wanted to get up, say something, be jealous, do the dramatics. But something stopped me.
Diggory was clearly the better match. The rest of the happy-go-lucky Hufflepuffs would surely encourage them to go together, and I’m sure it would be best if I chose a girl of my own house to escort. But the simple truth was: I didn’t want to.
Yes, it would be easier. And yes, it would involve far less courage. After all, I am no Gryffindor, right?
Catching my stare, Y/N sent a dazzling smile in my direction before turning away.
Merlin help me.
---Five Days Until Christmas---
“I don’t understand why we can’t just go together, Draco, it’s not like either of us have dates yet.” Said Pansy as my friends and I walked out into the Courtyard.
“It’s because he’s too busy pining over L/N, can you imagine?”
“Piss off, Nott.”
Pansy rolled her eyes, “Well good luck with that, because it looks like Diggory is stealing your date”
Our heads snapped over to the columns, where the two had been talking back and forth. Irritation flew over me, my dislike for the supposed ‘Quidditch Star’ intensifying. To make things worse, their conversation ended with Y/N planting a kiss right on his cheek before walking away.
“Ooooh,”
“Yikes.”
“Better luck next time...”
I was no longer in the mood for my friends’ sympathetic jests, so I left, trying my hardest not to hex Diggory on the way back to the common room. He’s probably picking out ties right now, planning out all the ways he can win Y/N over.
The mere thought of them dating filled me with such envy, to the point where it felt embarrassing. I, Draco Malfoy, a bloody Slytherin of all houses, am giving up my crush without even trying? What a painful thought.
Y/N has been on the forefront of my mind since the fifth year, when she suddenly approached me after a Quidditch game. To my utter surprise, she complimented my abilities as seeker, despite her house losing badly just minutes prior.
“Draco?” The slapping footsteps behind me caught my attention, “Are you alright?”
Unclenching my fists, I turned around, only to see Y/N completely out of breath. “You just stormed out of the Courtyard, did something happen?” She asked, stepping closer.
I avoided her question, crossing my arms. “You and Diggory, huh?”
Her face dropped, suddenly confused by the passiveness, “Diggory?”
“Yes, him.”
Y/N’s face flashed with first embarrassment, then realization, “You saw that, didn’t you.” She tried going in for a hug, but I quickly stepped back. “What the hell?” She asked. Sensing the silence, she began to explain, “Draco, I turned him down.”
“You did what?” I asked, basking in the slight mental relief.
“I said, I turned him down. Cedric and I are just friends. I really don’t understand why you’re so upset by this.” She said genuinely, tugging at the sleeves of her robe.
But she kissed him on the cheek, is that a Hufflepuff thing? I seriously cannot wrap my head around this girl, “It didn’t look like you were turning him down.” I responded, relaxing my stance. “You know, I’m sure this won’t be the first time someone asks you to the dance.”
“Really?” She asked, suddenly sheepish.
Right then and there, I wanted to tell her everything, and just face my fears. It took every last bit of courage within me to blurt out these words. Even if she does reject me, at least I can sleep at night knowing I gave my full honesty.
“You know, Y/N, around you, people feel safe, that's just how you affect us all. I'm sure there are a lot of people who have a crush on you. I'm one of them. I realize this could all have been platonic, like it was with Diggory, so I won’t blame you if this is all unrequited.  But by any chance, if you feel the same way, if any of this resonates with you. Send me an owl.”
By the end of my speech, my hands were stuffed into my pockets out of nervousness. Without another word, I pulled them out, despite their shakiness, and gently placed them beneath her ears. After pressing a singular kiss to her forehead, I walked away, unable to face any immediate rejection.
The next morning, the Slytherin table was harassed by incoming letters. Nearly ten of them, all addressed and written with the same scraggly handwriting, were dropped directly in front of me. And yet again, from across the room, the most breathtaking sent my heart into shock.

Hey,hey,hey. *Drops this post from my pocket and stumbles down stairs*
[ R a p t u r e d ]
A Twisted Wonderland Yandere Short Fic.
Summary: Your brother, obsessed with making a name for himself as a huntsman slaughters the beast in the Nostorne Forest, an olden land rumoured to be where the Faefolk reside with their Mother Goddess Gaia and her seven sons. But the rumours are true, and the price for having a fool brother is a heavy one.
Tumblr media
Chapter One: Rage
"When was the last time you had the sun on you?" Idia asked this with a gentle smile curling on his lips. His blue flamed eyes glistening with a fondness too endearing to be let off as friendly.
The cuffs on your hand bit into your skin. Bruised and calloused, you balled your hands into fists yet your lips didn't part open for any of your anger to manifest into words.
Idia frowned. Guilt lingering on his features. The tower you were in was dark with nothing but a single window and a door only magic could make visible. In Idia's mind your refusal to speak to him was from a lack of comfort. Of course,anyone would be as frustrated as you were.
Perhaps,he could help with that.
His hand went up to unlatch the lock on the window and as he pushed the wooden frames back, a simmering sunlight entered the room through streaks of warmness you haven't felt in months. In your dreary state, you almost wanted to swoon from it, but then you caught the smile in Idia's eyes and your anger flared once more. You clenched your jaw and turn away from the window.
Idia's frown returned and this time with a painful jab to his heart.
"What are you doing?" Came another familiar voice you dreaded to hear, and it was from Riddle who had just materialised in front of you, his usual condescending gaze glowering at your cuffed form.
Idia furrowed his brows.
"The sun was out, I thought it'll be good for them."
Riddle scoffed,his high and mighty stance crushing your pride as he strode pass you and towards the window, where he glanced out briefly before slamming it shut. The moment darkness engulfed you once more, the regret of not facing the heat of the morning came to slap you in the face, and your shoulders slumped.
Idia looked to Riddle disapprovingly, but said nothing. Though he did glanced at you with pity. He knew you liked the sun even when you acted like you didn't, and being one of your captors, you weren't sure whether to be disgusted or grateful for his efforts to understand you.
"They're not a plant" Riddle drawled, "And with that scornful look in their eyes, you shouldn't be treating them to something so pleasant,brother."
"Humans need their sun" Idia argued "They'll get sick if you keep them locked up like this"
Riddle cocked one brow, his glowering glare seeping into your very bones when he stared down at you. When he began taking strides towards you,the sound of his boots thudding against the wooden floorboards made you flinch. For such a petite looking male, he walked with a confidence of a king marching with his army.
"Look at them,Idia" He said, softly, as if attempting to coerce his brother onto his side. "Just us standing nearby makes them sick."
When Riddle turned to face him,Idia wore a painful look on his face as if he was pleading for the words to not escape Riddle.
The red haired turned back to you, leaning down to push back the bangs obscuring your eyes from meeting his. The gentle scent of floral emitting from him matched well with the softness of his delicate fingers running through your hair, and yet both greatly contrasted the bitter grey in his gaze.
"You're fortunate I dislike seeing my brother displeased,human." He cooed, mockingly. "I'd have you collared and hung otherwise."
Riddle pulled away swiftly when the flames on Idia's hair flickered lightly, a sign of annoyance.
Mean while, you tried swallowing the immense fear in your throat to make way for the words you've wanted to pour out ever since you were captured. Alas, it seemed as if someone had sewn your own will too tightly.
"You're going too soft on it" Riddle said after going to Idia's side,the slight aggression in his voice earning a scowl from blue haired male.
"Them. Not it. And if you keep treating them like that they'll refuse to eat"
"If it's not eating, it's barely my fault."
"They'll die,Riddle. And I thought we were supposed to keep them well and alive until their brother gets back with his homage."
"Alive." Riddle said firmly, "The well part is only because you like them."
The accusation brought colour to his cheeks and Idia found his tongue betraying him when it refused to utter proper words. Riddle looked to the hunched over form of the unfortunate human they were responsible for looking after and sighed. Bringing up his index finger to rub the side of his temple.
"It's decaying. How could you even stand near it? Let alone find it pleasing to watch over?"
"You don't know." Idia said simply, and though he was frowning, Riddle caught the nostalgic look in his eyes.
Years together, and Riddle still couldn't really figure his brother out. He was closer to Idia than he was with the rest of his brothers,but the way Idia held certain things with such sentiment gave Riddle a headache. To think someone of nobility like his brother would go soft for something as meager as a human...He was going to have tea after this, that would clear his head.
But that was later. Now, he needed to make sure, as Idia had stated multiple times, that their human wouldn't die.
***
The cold water that splashed ontop of your head and trailed down the rest of your body made you shiver and flinch as the wounds on your wrist hissed at the sudden exposure.
The small, encircling, faeries dusted in the pale colour of blue giggled at your reaction, never once stopping to ask you if the water bothered you. Water Fairies... You've only ever heard of them in stories your mother told you before you slept, but now for the past two months, they were the ones keeping your body clean.
Your gaze dropped to your bare feet soaked in the wooden basin you bathed in, and the memories of when you were free brought tears to your eyes. Before you actually realized it, you were crying. Tears uncontrollably slipping through your eyes like rain dripping in-between the creaks of a broken roof. Your body trembled and despite the soreness of your limbs, you hunched over to hug your knees. The water Fairies, continued their job, carelessly oblivious to your sorrows.
You didn't even noticed Idia entering the room until his panicked voice broke through the silence and a pair of his hands gripped your shoulders.
"What happened? Are you hurt?" He sounded worried, hasty even. The water Fairies giggled, splashing the water from your bath playfully as if to greet the young male but when he lifted his gaze towards them, the gold in his eyes flared like fire and within seconds you heard the small cries of pain elicited by the water Fairies before, one by one, Idia's fire engulfed them all.
"They're gone now" He said, cupping your tear stained face clumsily in his hands. "They won't hurt you again. I swear."
He wasn't expecting a 'Thank you' or a grateful smile or even your body welcoming him in an embrace, even if he did craved those things from you, but Idia also didn't expect for your hands to push him away so vigorously. As if by his touch alone he had made you feel disgusted.
His gaze was wide when it met yours,a tinge of hurt lingering in them but when Riddle entered the room then, it vanished and Idia looked away from you.
"What happened here? Why are you on the floor—" Riddle let common sense piece up the scenes together and when it did, the annoyance In his demeanor shifted to anger.
"Get up,Idia. You'll need a change of clothes,Azul is already downstairs,have him help you."
Idia got up without a word and when the door vanished the moment he went through it, dread settled into the room like a plague.
"I don't know how many times I've said it" Riddle started,looming over your bared body still sitting in the basin.
"But you should consider yourself lucky I'm neither Leona or Azul. They would've given you nothing to wear and tossed you out naked."
You didn't dare meet his gaze then but Riddle made you to by placing his thumb underneath your chin and slowly lifting it up.
"I wanted you dead,you know. After all, what your foolish brother did was unforgivable. Mindlessly slaughtering the creature our mother raised on her own as the family's protector..." He jerked your chin back with a flick, his every action a sting of aggression. "I've always felt my own brothers were a handful" Riddle looked you right in the eyes then before he laughed, "But now that I've seen yours,I'm grateful. Very unfortunate for you though"
"Why are keeping me like this?" The words came in a whisper but Riddle caught it and he arched both his brows as if he was impressed you could actually talk.
"You're not an idiot" He said "You heard me perfectly well."
"Yes,I heard you...but why? I don't understand." Slowly, your eyes began to burn with an ignition of life, and for once, Riddle did find it pleasing to look at you.
"What difference does it make if you did? The situation here is very clear. Your brother,an arrogant hunter, thought he'd be doing the world a favour by intruding into my family's ancient lands and arousing the beast that protects it,killing it in the end. I'll admit,it's no small feat, and he does have an ounce of talent in his veins but he's done wrong by us," Riddle's voice shifted into a drawl, gaze darkening, "And perhaps he should've think twice before angering us Faefolk."
"But why am I the captive?" You were almost screaming, your throat coarse and dry it hurt to even utter the words, but it was unfair. Why was it you had to pay for the fault of a man you weren't even related to by blood. With the little energy you had left, you stood on your trembling legs, not caring that your naked body was in full display to the red haired who all but stared at you in bewilderment.
"I'm not to blame. I take no responsibility for the death of your creature. If it's vengeance you want then maybe giving me a sword would suit better."
Riddle's rage glimmered in his eyes.
"You're challenging me?"
"No." You said. "I'm offering to give you the head of the man who dishonoured your family, Fae."

"New Asgard?" I questioned, looking at Thor quite confused. "That sounds... Kinda difficult." I stated, resting against the wall as he picked up his things.
"It will be, but I have the help of my people." he stopped his motions and a blank stare emerged from the depths of hid mourning. "or what is left of them..."
In that moment, Natasha showed up, bringing with her five dishes for us to be able to serve whatever she had been cooking a few minutes ago. "Where are you going?"
"Norway." I replied with my arms crossed, observing how the redhead slowly put the dishes down on the table. "gonna fund New... Asgard."
"Oh..." a sad look made its way to the blond woman. "Uh... Would you need help? We could lend a hand."
"It will be alright." Thor replied, politely turning down Natasha's offer. "I have Brunnhilde there." he grabbed his things gave us both a hug. "I will come visit as soon as I can."
Natasha formed a small smile, which suppressed her melancholy, in order to give Thor a nice goodbye.
As he left, I peeked, concerned, at the woman besides me, who hugged her arms staring at the dishes with lost eyes. "I'll put one back."
"Make it two." I mumbled. "Rhodey's staying in California for another month."
Natasha nodded, retired the pair she had been told to, and walked away in complete silence.
I exited the stance right after her, and made my way to the open concept kitchen, just to find Natasha sitting in one of the stools with her chin laid on her intertwined knuckles, her elbows resting over the counter.
"Nat..." as soon as she heard my soft whisper, she wiped away the tears I didn't notice that had started to be spilled from her green eyes.
"Yeah?" she looked over her shoulder to face me.
My first intention was to ask her if she was okay, but that question had already been answered, so I walked over to her and placed both my hands over her shoulders, squeezing them softly. "I'll set the table, go to the couch and chill there for a while, alright?"
One of her hands went up to grasp one of mines, her head slightly tilted to that same side as she nodded. "Alright." She lifted her gaze to stare at me, to which I responded with the warm smile she needed. "Thank you, Y/n."
I dismissed her gratitude with a shake of my head, switching places with her, and due to the sadness I was so bad trying to hide, I almost missed the way her hand briefly brushed mine.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was sketching Steve while he was working, when Natasha came into the room, chatting with Bruce.
"If you ever need anything," she started, handing him the bag he had left in the facility the day he had moved out.
"I won't hesitate on telling you, I promise." Bruce finished with a bittersweet smile on his face. "take care Nat."
Steve and I both waved him goodbye; Natasha just stood still, her arms crossed, for a couple of seconds before grabbing her ballerinas and leaving to train.
"She's doin' it again." Steve stated concerned in low voice, his gaze leaving the laptop for an instant to observe the door through which Natasha had walked away.
"Can you blame her, though?" I questioned rhetorically, my eyebrows raised at the blond man in front of me.
"You should check on her." Steve suggested. "she opens up with you more than with me." he explained before I could even formule a single question about why should it be me.
"Don't think she needs to open up." I replied, redirecting my attention back to the sketch. "She's gonna miss him, just like she misses Tony, just like she misses Rhodey and Thor." I placed the pencil over the sheet of paper and took a second before saying the following words. "just like we miss 'em all."
Steve let his face fall on his hands in defeat as that dreadful silence reigned in the room.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I'll keep some things here, though." Steve informed us, picking up the car keys from the table. "If you don't mind, of course."
"don't be an idiot, will you?" Natasha spoke with a half smile on her face. Steve chuckled and pulled her into a side hug before she pecked his cheek. "Take care, Steve."
It took us a hot second to even move from our original positions after our blond friend had left our so-called home to move to an apartment in Brooklyn, when he wouldn't have to deal with the guilt and the regret echoing through the immense halls and countless stances.
Natasha was the first one to leave the room, numbly grabbing her ballet shoes to make her way down the hallway to reach the gym.
I was just not as fast, but soon i decided to follow that advice Steve had given me not so long ago and go check on her. Maybe she really didn't need to open up about anything, maybe she only needed a shoulder to cry on.
Assuming that Natasha would have already started a routine, I didn't rush to reach the gym at all. However, to my surprise, when I got to the entrance, I was greeted with the view of the woman sat on a bench,sniveling while hugging her sides, the ballet shoes on and her two-toned hair covering her face.
Whatever I had been holding inside was triggered by that sight, and flooded out in the form of painful tears that seemed to burn my skin. "Hey..." she only shook her head shortly, yet vigorously, as I approached her. "Hey." I repeated, kneeling in front of her, my hands holding both her cheeks. This time she did look at me trough bloodshot eyes that most likely mirrored mines. "It'll get better, I promise." She sniffed and I pulled her into a hug, which acted as a perfect substitute for the kiss I was dying to give her. "You still have me here, and I'm not leaving alright?"
She nodded, burying her face on my neck, where I felt a feather kiss. "Damnit, I was dying to get rid of you." Her voice was weak but playful as she pulled away. "You're a pain in the ass." I chuckled, brushing my thumb over her cheek to wipe her tears as she did the same with mines, lovingly. "But you're my pain in the ass, right?" Her hand rested over my cheek, her green eyes flickering to my lips before coming back to mines, desperately looking for the answer she needed to her question.
"Damn sure I am." I replied, getting up with my eyes fixed on her. "Were you gonna start a routine?" I questioned, running my fingers through her hair as she leaned in to rest her forehead against my stomach, nodding as a response to my inquiry. "I'll braid your hair." She mumbled a 'thank you' whilst letting her hands linger on my outer thighs just a little bit more.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was late night when I noticed Natasha was no longer on the other side of the bed, her place to sleep for a couple of months by now.
I looked for her first in the gym, then outside, in the rooftop garden where she would sometimes go. After not finding her there, I decided to make my way had become her office. Maybe Rhodey or Okoye called, or maybe Carol and Rocket had updates on anything.
She was all alone, sat in her chair.
"What's wrong?"I asked, resting against the doorframe.
"You'll leave too." she stated, trying too hard for that beautiful smile of hers to stay in her face while she looked at me, which she wasn't being able to achieve. "and that's alright."
"Nat please, please don't cry." I begged, leaving the door frame in order to reach her sitting on the chair. "why- I'm not leaving, I promise, please don't cry."
"God I'm sorry." she took a deep breath in order to calm herself down. "I promise it's alright, you gotta get yourself a life, it's just late and" she scoffed, rapidly wiping the tears from her cheeks. "I think I'm having a mental breakdown" she tried to laugh it off but I was too concerned to fall into laugh with her, no matter how contagious that melodic sound was. "I promise it's alright, Y/n."
"I'm not leaving you." I replied, kneeling in front of the redhead when she slowly shook her head, averting her eyes from me. "Natasha, why on earth would you say that."
"I'm just trying to make it easier for you." She replied, shrugging. "I don't want you to feel bad, I'll get by just fine." tears were spilled again, jumping off her bottom eyelids. "I promise." her breath was ragged, and my eyes were getting watery. "I'm sorry for keeping you here all this time, I really am." She shook her head, her lower lip quivering and her eyes shut.
"Nat–"
"I'm so sorry..."
"Natasha, please, look at me." I lifted her chin, obliging her to stay eye to eye with me. "You're not making me stay." I brushed her hair off her face and said fuck it to second guessing my words about my feelings. "I'm staying because I love you, because you make this feel home even if it really isn't, I'm staying because everything feels less awful when I'm with you, because-"
I completely missed the hopeful glimpse in her eyes before she, as fast as a lightning, threw herself off the chair, her lips attaching to mines in a kiss that, despite the innocence it carried, took my breath away.
"I love you... I love you love you." She whispered, her eyes closed and her forehead resting against mine, now both of us kneeled on the floor.
"Yeah?" I questioned, intertwining my fingers with hers as she nodded slowly. "I love you love you too."
"I know, dumbass." She replied with a smirk on her face that I could see after I pulled away. "That's why I kissed you." I shook my head with a smile on my face, wiping my tears away. "Are you stayin?"
I raised my eyebrows. "You're such an oblivious idiot when it comes to me, Romanoff." I stated, getting up and pulling her with me. "Let's get some sleep alright?"
"Alright." She answered. Holding my hand and pecking my lips before following me back to our room.
Chapter: 2
Words: 1.7k
Roman P.O.V.
"Okay, i'll pick you up here later. You should be fine, just remember-"
"To look for the signs, make friends and don't beat anyone up we get it." Remus reiterated. Uncle sighed.
"Just.. be careful. okay?"
"We'll be fine uncle. C'mon Roman." Remus said, nearly dragging me out of the car.
"see you later," I smiled at Uncle as I shut the car door.
We stood in awe at the building in front of us. "Who knew schools could be this big," i whispered.
"I know right. Fucking hell."
We wandered around like lost puppies as we tried to find reception. "Look." I said, pointing to a sign that said "office"
"Thank-fucking-finally," Remus sighed as we started to follow the signs.
/////
"Oh you boys must be Roman and Remus King, correct?" The receptionist asked, noticing us as she lifted her head from her computer, before she went to back to her work.
"That's us. We were told to come here and get our schedules?" I replied, noticing the "she/her" badge she had on her blouse.
"Oh! You're English!" She stated, looking up and giving us her full attention.
"Yep! We're good ol' Brits! Now can we get our schedules please?" Remus interupted, already annoyed at her.
"oh, of course! here-" She said as Remus snatched the schedules off of her. I elbowed him in the rib, somewhat harshly.
"ow! you bitc-"
"be nice" i chided. He responded by growling lightly.
"Sorry for him," I apologised to the receptionist.
"Its okay!" she smiled. "There should be a student coming soon to give you a tour.." She went on, explaining how the timetables worked, where to get lunch and how the one-way system on the stairs worked. Remus gave up listening pretty quickly and instead was looking out for the student that was going to tour us.
"hey babes" I heard as Remus nudged me. I turned to look at Remus as he nodded towards the student. click click. The sound of heeled shoes filled the room. A man wearing big, round sunglasses, a black jacket and obnoxiously sipping a Starbucks strutted into the room.
"Remy!" the receptionist exclaimed "Good to see you. Here are the new students, Roman and Remus king" She gestured towards us.
"hi!"
"sup bitch." Remus saluted. Remy giggled as I turned to Remus exasperatedly.
"I'm Roman. He/Him" I continued, sticking out my hand. He shook it.
"Remy. Also he/him." He purred, winking at me. He chuckled lightly at my eyes widening slightly at his confidence and forwardness.
"Oh, and who is this cutie?" He pondered, moving so he was in front of Remus. He took a slow sip of his Starbucks as he checked Remus out, eyes fluttering up and down.
"I'm- er- Remus. Um- he/him and all- hehe- did you know if you clenched every muscle in your back at the same time you'd break your spine? hehe" Remus spluttered quickly, not used to all the attention. Remy smiled affectionately.
"I didn't. Thanks for the knowledge Einstein. Logan's gonna like you." He said, muttering the last of the sentence.
"Remy dear, the receptionist interrupted. "May you please give our new students the tour so they can get to lunch on time?."
Remus looked to me, confused. "Lunch? Isn't it like half way through first period at the minute?." Remy chuckled again.
"Yeah, but schools here aren't as small as they are in England. It might be a while. Plus I need to take you to the Principal's office and god knows how long that'll take. So come on hon," he gestured with his head towards the door and took another slurp of his Starbucks as he placed his phone in his pocket. click click. I turned to Remus who just shrugged and started following Remy.
/////
It was around lunch, when we had finished being dragged around and severely warned by the principal of the punishments for any misbehaviour. We trudged along through the canteen, making our way outside.
"that's a good spot," Remus said, pointing to a big oak tree, where no one was sitting.
"alrighty then."
Remus plonked down as we reached the tree. "heads up" I called. Remus barely had any time to react before I flung my bag towards him. He caught it milliseconds before it would've hit his face.
Bitch." he scowled as I sat down, a few feet away from the tree. "That tour took us fucking forever," he complained.
"I knowww."
"Why the fuck did we go to the dorms if we aint gonna get one for another week or so?!"
"I suppose it was so they could get the tour done in on hit?" I reasoned.
"Yeah.. Its still fucking shite though." I smirked as Remus sighed dramatically and brought his sketchbook out of his bag. Along with a pencil and rubber.
"I thought Uncle said not to bring that. It coul-"
"I don't give a shit. Let me have this one thing. Be thankful I didn't decide to bring my iPad." Remus scowled. I pouted at him.
"Well what am I supposed to do now?"
"Practice your lines for that shitty play your doing." He offered, throwing my back towards me.
"Excuse me. It aint 'shitty'. Its fun! Plus doing community plays will help me get to a good place in the future. you know this." I defended, air-quoting the word "shitty"
"Whatever. I still don't understand how you managed to find a theatre and audition when we've only been here for like a week and a half." I flicked the ends of my hair obnoxiously.
"What can I say? I'm just amazing." Remus snorted at that and through a crumpled piece of paper at me.
"nerd." He returned to his drawing, ignoring my "offended princey noises" as he called them. I stuck my tongue out at him as I rooted through my bag to find my lines.
Remus P.O.V
Watching Princey practice was always funny. Without fail, he would always go from sitting down, to walking around, practicing the delivery of the lines, script in one hand, the other flourishing through the air, within a maximum of 5 minutes. I leant back on the tree more as I stopped drawing for a second to watch my brother. He was walking back and forth, reciting about slaying some dragon thing. "Don't worry. I will save you! Begone evil Dragon!" he shouted, jumping into a fighting stance. His free arm acting like it was holding a sword. I burst out laughing at him. Roman turned around furiously, shooting death glares at me. Unfortunately for him, this only made me laugh louder. His eyes narrowed at me before he too, started laughing.
"You're a fucking dork."
"Yeah, yeah. Just lemme practice." I rolled my eyes before focusing back on my design. No matter what I did, I couldn't get it to look right. And boy, was i determined to get it right.
/////
"Hey!" a new, chirpy voice said. I looked up to see a kid looming over me.
"can I help you?" I asked, trying to be nice.
"Yeah. I was wondering If you've seen our friend? they're around so-high, chestnut hair, blue overalls, yellow t-shirt, black jacket with a.... double headed snake? on the back." The boy explained.
"nah I don't recognise the description. Why would I have seen.. them?" he asked, noticing the pronouns used and feeling slightly proud of himself for noticing.
"It seems they're new Patton. That would probably explain why they don't recognise Janus and they don't know that we normally sit here." A different boy said. "where the fuck did he come from?!" he thought.
"Its alright Logan. Janus will find us and we can always sit somewhere else for today." the first boy, Patton? ,said.
"But vi-"
"Hold on lemme get that dipshit." I interrupted. I turned towards Roman, who was oblivious to the entire conversation as he was quite a few feet away. "OI TWAT!" I shouted. Roman jumped at the sudden noise and his foot caught on a visible tree root and he fell over, landing on his arse. I, once again, burst out laughing.
"Wha-" He cut himself off when he noticed the boys. He quickly got up and walked back towards us.
"He's much better at things like this." I explained between laughs as Roman arrived, cheeks dusted In pink from embarrassment.
"twat?" The taller one, Logan?, asked.
"Its a British thing." I said, waving my hand dismissively.
"Oh, you're British!" The smaller one, (Patton? I don't fucking know) said excitedly.
"Indeed we are." Roman said, entering the conversation.
I let Roman take over as I tuned out the conversation and focused back onto my design.
//
"I'd draw an extra petal there." someone said. I jumped slightly at that and turned to see someone sat next to me, snickering at my shock. I turned to see that Roman was sat opposite me, the boys from earlier were sat to my left and the person who I could only assume was 'Janus' was sat next to me. I stared into their face, searching for a sign that he was mocking me. "Janus. They/them." The person said, unfazed, confirming my suspicions. Once I felt satisfied with their intentions, I turned back towards my page where they had their hand.
"Remus. He/him." I said as I started sketching. I was trying to draw a rose, with its flowers wilting off. Kinda like the flower from Beauty And The Beast. The movie which I was forced to watch the other night by my brothers demands.
Once I was finished sketching the flower, I saw how much better it looked with Janus' addition. I turn to thank Janus, only to see them looking at me. Smiling at my own happiness towards the now finished design.
"Thanks," I said cheerfully "it looks so much better now"
"No problem," Janus simply said.
"Ah so you've decided to come back down to earth now?" Roman teased, noticing how I wasn't fixated on my page anymore.
"Fuck off." I said, sticking out my tongue. Roman giggled whilst Patton inhaled sharply. I turned to Janus, a confused look etched onto my face.
"Patton doesn't like swearing." they explained. I chuckled mentally. "Well i'm fucked" I thought, Laughing again at the irony.
"well at least he didn't fall over a tree root now," Janus said to Roman, smirking. I started laughing.
"I like this one." I said and everyone joined In with my laughter.
The bell cut the fun short though. We all, besides Logan, groaned as we started to collect our things and head towards our next lessons.
