Ugh I’m starting to get so annoyed with people just not knowing things that are super obvious and I’m being more blunt but then I feel bad about it, but at the same time how do you not know

Ganon is so obsessed with Link. Like why are you as a man spawning ethereal hands of the damned from the earth all over hyrule to chase a blonde twink? So you can have the hero of hyrule all to yourself? to touch??

Heyo! May I request platonic yandere chain with reader? But instead of isekai like normal the reader is actually a destructive spirit or deity that was reawakened by either Dark Link or Ganon? Anywhoooo I hope you’re having a great week- mine was filled with exams lmfaooooo
Thanks for requesting anon! I really hope you had good results from those exams!
Notes: My week was okay, thank you for asking!!
I really let out my imagination out on this one, hope you'll like it.
BTW, take this as a part on the back for getting through your week.
I feel like I made the yandereness on this one so light, I'm sorry
-> Reader can't bring themselves to remember anyone's names so just remembers their most striking characteristics in their opinion.
-> It's been a while since I've read the comic, so Time keeping FD's mask on his belt for safety measures (since it's the most dangerous one and he can't lose it) is merely a headcanon of mine.
-> Reader is a menace who has questionable intellect (AKA a chaotic, pyromaniac, destructive entity being forced to be nice to others by the good guys™).
-> I left the end ambiguous, so you guys can decide if reader was either truly tamed or is still a menace who Time has to keep on check so they won't be too cruel on their "pranks".
-> Reader also magically rearranged Time's ocarina so each hole would play different a different sound at some point, so he literally had to re-learn where each note was so that he could go back to playing his songs again.
-> Reader slept for more than Time and Wild both and doesn't know a thing about the Zelda lore other than the Golden goddesses.
TWs: Light platonic yanderism, mention of burns, mentions of fire and arson, mentions of loud noises, basically just reader being an absolute hazard to anyone and everyone.
Platonic yandere! Chain x Reader
Debt to pay.
Tumblr media
People from your time used to say that one could sooner move a mountain from it's resting place rather than tame your natural ways.
You wouldn't say you were a deity, per say, you thrived on chaos and setbacks, a living annoyance to the poor living things that breathed the same air as you, and roamed the earth by the same time you did.
It was in your nature to be destructive, yes, but you never wanted destruction, at least not full extinction. The darkness and the light were both two sides of the same rupee, they were one just like the other, beings of both sides would react the exact identical way to having their butts lit on fire. So, of course, you weren't one to pick and choose who you'd go after each day.
Thing is, most people didn't understand that —if anyone at all— so everyone just assumed you were a being of pure darkness, even if you actually saw yourself as more of a dark gray entity from a moral chart perspective.
And that was how you got yourself “killed”, if that's even the right thing to call it.
Somehow, no one seemed to care much when you lit whole villages on fire and made all of the walls of full-on castles start dissing out pure electricity, but they almost dislocated their jaws the moment you decided to do a silly trick and turn all of their lovely goddesses statues upside down for a day.
As if those same goddesses hadn't just ignored all of their prayers in the last hundreds of years you spent freely making their lives miserable.
You were stored in a vase. Not even a cool cool one. A plain clay vase deep within a temple under the ground. If you could choose, you'd have preferred something more majestic and up to the level of your power, but then again, it wasn't like you were in place to say anything in your defense.
Sometimes you just wondered how your small group of worshipers were. They probably weren't the best people out there, if you could say so yourself, but you were still curious if they ended up having similar fates to yours.
A long, long time later, you were "revived", for the same reason you were "killed".
Not the best choice on the part of whoever went through the trouble of doing all that, but who were you to judge? Or even to complain?
From what you could get from the boring evil monologue the guy in front of you was giving after having just woken you up from the longest nap you've ever had —since you couldn't really die— the guy wanted you to aid him in his quest to kill some other guys and take over the world or some boring nefarious plan like that.
You couldn't recall any of the names he just said, though, so you could only guess that you had either slept for a pretty damn long time, or you were in an entirely different world on itself.
Before you could fully decide on one of the two possibilities, the red guy sent you to fight against that group of guys he was talking about, seven men with varying shades of blonde hair along with two guys who weren't blond at all.
Perhaps you could have admired the strength of the red guy's magic, to just bring you out of your sleep like that and already straight up teleport you.
Thing is, you didn't really care enough to do that, you just did whatever you wanted the moment you realized you were fully conscious and in a physical body once again.
Were you chaotic and very much possibly evil? Yes. Were you stupid, however? Kinda No.
So the moment the opportunity presented itself, you followed those guys around, gathering information. Taking notice also of that one shadow looking dude, who was following them around just like you, seemingly with the intention of making their lives hell.
Maybe he'd be an interesting being to interact with, if he wasn't as prickly as a damn cactus. You swore you couldn't even approach the guy without him reacting like a startled cat, pointing his flimsy sword straight to your face. You swore to yourself you'd break that thing in half one of these days.
And so you set your sights fully on the blond —and the not so blond— guys, taking your time to also play around with the villages they went to and toy with the monster camps they passed by.
Of course, you couldn't just ignore the massively ominous aura drifting from the masks that one of the taller blondies carried around. Your hands itched to get a grasp on those things, whatever was sealed inside it was magical and possibly powerful, and the possibilities sent your mind on quite a dangerous frenzy.
The thing that made you a bit disappointed, however, was how long it took for them to notice your presence.
At some point you decided to start giving them some more obvious hints that what was following them wasn't friendly.
They seemed to really like bomb bags, which wasn't exactly safe for them when you could randomly activate those at will.
Also, you couldn't control the rain or storms, of course, but you definitely could attract lightning, especially since they all seemed to enjoy carrying around those identical metal swords.
Sometimes you just liked to pull on their hair and make knots on them, given that some had really long hair.
The wolf guy had a horse, one you could just startle really easily. Although you didn't have the result you wanted, since the wolf guy wasn't sent flying the moment his horse went crazy.
You caught him later, though. Making loud, high pitched noises to absolutely blow away his senses the moment he turned into a wolf to try and chase you down.
The fire that the short guy was using to mend a weapon randomly became overly strong, enough to have burned his whole arm, if he hadn't pulled away quick enough.
The scarf of the other one just one day became a bit too hard around his neck. It's a good thing for him that he was quick enough to pull it off his neck before he suffocated.
You watched as the one with pink hair almost had a breakdown, as all his colorful, shiny little trinkets and accessories having become dulled, turning completely pitch black, no traces of their original colors or magic left.
The kid tried to control the wind, only to have it blown straight back to his face, bringing leaves and sand with it.
You made sure their cook accidentally poured a bit too much pepper in their food, or salt, even sugar, if you felt like it.
The brown haired one suddenly lost control of his magic, what was supposed to heal their wounds ended up dyeing their hair blue for days on end.
That other guy who always overslept felt his pillow being pulled from under his head at random times through his nights.
And the tall guy's masks have all suddenly decided to disappear.
“Okay. Something is going on here. And it's not something natural.” Time sighed, looking around the camp, tired and worried, concerned.
Wild’s hair was an absolute mess and seemed to have caught on fire at some point, Warriors was glaring at his scarf, keeping it as far from his —almost purple— neck as possible. Wind had his hair almost as messy as Wild's, full of leaves and dirt, he was pretty sure there were also some bugs around it, his cheek had a thin cut from a sharp little rock.
Twilight was occupied comforting Epona, although the both of them seemed quite shaken up by something.
Four had some burns around the tips of his fingers, his hair usual blond hair now stained with blue, Hyrule sitting beside him with a frown, bandaging his hands rather than using his healing magic like he normally would.
Sky wasn't far from the two, almost dozing off despite the migraine that had settled behinds his eyes, which were now dotted with heavy bags from sleepless nights. Legend's terrible mood did not seem to disturb his need for a nap.
“Oh, really?” Legend almost growled back, positively fuming with barely contained rage gleaming in his eyes.
“Vet, I am not your enemy here, but once we find out who is doing this, you can direct your anger towards whoever they are.” Time shot a look to the other.
“That is, if it's even a person doing this. It might be some kind of monster.” Warriors commented.
“One thing we're sure of is that there's magic involved in this.” Hyrule spoke up, finished with the bandaging.
“I don't even know why you're so mad, Leg, you were possibly the least affected by this.” Four complained, eyebrows furrowed with stress. Even as a blacksmith, he was never a fan of getting burned, especially not being caught off guard like that!
“Agreed.” Wild was the next to speak, not bothering to brush the soot out of his hair. It wasn't quite the first time he almost been exploded, after all, even though the experience didn't get any better no matter how many times he went through it.
“You're really saying that, even though the kid only got a burst of wind to the face.”
“Ay! Mind your own business, Legend!” Wind sprung up in defense of himself, already looking to be tense prior to the attack, as the two began arguing.
While the group was in quite the mess, you took your chances to go ahead and approach stealthily to attempt to take the mask you were so curious about. Said mask being the last one you hadn't stolen borrowed yet, since the tall guy seemed to have noticed his other masks disappearances and decided to take extra means of protection towards that one.
In your opinion, your risks were all carefully thought out and calculated, however, you seemed to have completely forgotten about a certain wolf guy at the edge of the camp, standing beside his horse and looking straight at you.
You managed to grab the mask from the taller guy's belt! But at what price..?
Before you could even manage to turn around and run away with it, a hand shot out, hooking on the back of the collar of your shirt, pushing you to the ground in a second. And in another second, there was a blade shoved right in front of your face.
Goddammit.
You barely paid any attention to all the yelling, too occupied hugging your newly acquired possession tightly to your chest.
“Hand me that mask. Now.” A voice right behind you demanded, yet you still didn't move.
“No.”
The sword in front of you seemed to inch just slightly closer to your neck.
“At least tell me what it is, first!” You asked, a bit more squirmy, not at all comfortable with the vulnerability you had right now, since it seemed like that long sleep left you with a bit less power than you used to have, clearly a precaution, should you ever gain you body back. It was smart from your captors, but very much annoying for you.
“None of your business, now give me back my mask!” The tall guy —now in front of you— stressed. You could tell that his restlessness was hinting towards just how near he was to the end of his wits.
“If this piece of porcelain is as powerful as it seems, then yes, yes it is my business!”
It wasn't, not really, but you were too curious to just give up on information just like that.
The tall guy went quiet for a second before he finally replied, going with a question instead of actually giving you an answer like you were expecting from him.
“How do you know how powerful it is?”
“None of your business.” You threw his own words back at him and now the dull side of the sword was suddenly pressing up pretty uncomfortably against your skin, burning you. “Okay, fine, I'll tell you.”
And that was how you met the Links, and also how you became chained to them, unable to leave. After all, you did have to pay them back for all that you did to every single one of them.
But, for some reason, that simple dept seemed to only to get bigger the longer you spent time with them, despite the fact you weren't doing anything entirely wrong…
At least, that was the excuse they gave to you, yet something in you made you feel like that wasn't the full truth.

LoZ - Yiga!Link is a Riot
I gotta say that the concept of Yiga!Link is effing hilarious. Especially if it's Zelink.
Because, think about it.
In this situation, Ganon has literally everything lined up perfectly. Link, his eons-long, multi-life arch-nemesis is essentially his minion & he likely doesn't even know it.
Kid's probably deep into the sauce too, man.
Then, either along comes this pretty little princess & he's like, "yeah, sorry bro, but I'm gettin' me some of that." Maybe he was kidnapped as a baby & Link & Zelda met previously as kids? Maybe she did something for him that he'd never forgotten, then when they remeet, she does something for him that seals a huge crush on her, & thus can't bring himself to kill her? I dunno, there's a lot of ways this could go. OR, he learns personally that he's the Chosen Hero, the very person he's supposed to despise & kill. Meaning that if the other members learn about it, they'll likely kill him. His whole life comes crashing down around him. The first blow to the cult's programming.
Like, it'd just be such a power move on destiny's part.
Like, as dangerous as Ganon obviously is, he simply does not win for very long. He always looses eventually.
And this would just cement that fact. Like, he had his effing arch-nemesis in the palm of his fucking hand & didn't even know it & he'll still fucking lose.
I dunno about you, but I'd be pretty damn demoralized after that.
I might just need the next 10,000 years dead before my next reincarnation to mentally recover.
---
At the same time, it does make me wonder. Why do non-Sheikah Yiga stick with them? Like, we know the reason why the Yiga was originally formed. A Hylian King from 10,000 years ago forced the Sheikah to decommission their technology, fearing it'd bring about Hyrule's demise. (Which, despite how unfair it was, he was... actually right. Makes me wonder if he actually learned that the Sheikah Tech could be taken over. Maybe he'd been an accomplished mage & had managed to use his magic to take control of the machines, then realizing that he likely wouldn't be around for the next Calamity, he ordered the Sheikah to find a way to prevent the machines from being possessed by magic. But no matter what they did, they couldn't manage to figure it out, or maybe they did for a while, but the king kept testing them to make sure it was fixed. However, much like hacking in real life, there will always be new ways to exploit the system, thus the king was left with no choice but to decommission them.)
But, anyway, what exactly do they tell their members to get them to want to stay? Hell, why were they even still a thing in BotW? Why hadn't they made their move? There were no more guards, or soldiers, only a few trained Sheikah, all of which were either too old to keep fighting or were swiftly getting there, & there'd been no royal family besides Zelda, who was keeping Calamity Ganon sealed away.
Why didn't they take over the rest of Hyrule, asserting their dominance & killing all the loyalists so that when the Hero returned, he'd be an outlaw, thus making his journey harder? (It certainly wouldn't have been the first time something like that would've happened in the series.) In fact, why reveal themselves to him when they meet? Just wait till his back is turned, then Eightfold Blade him in the back! Or have a Yiga replace the Sheikah & Hylian innkeepers/Stable Managers, then when Link rents a bed for the night, give him a poisoned complementary meal! Then, when he collapses, just execute him!
It's that easy! Or it should be, because they're effing ninja!
I mean, they were perfectly fine with killing Dorian's wife, who Dorian had been a member of the Yiga before, thus they've no issue with the act of killing.
Which, btw, why didn't they instead kidnap her, maybe even his daughters too, & use them as blackmail to keep him under their thumb?

I have so many thoughts about Sweet but Psycho au, which btw I absolutely love that name 🩵 this ask definitely won’t be as long as my last one, I haven’t nearly thought about this as much as the last one, but I’ve had thoughts about this idea in particular, and after reading the ask about Ganon, it fed even more into my thoughts for this one in particular, but I always wondered, how do you think the chain would react to reader that’s actually a goddess? Particularly a reader that doesn’t know she’s a goddess, but maybe only finds out after she’s activated her powers after saving one or multiple of her boys— unlike a certain someone who shall not be named
But also I think it would be interesting if reader’s powers could be used in a way that she could integrate them whenever she praised them for a job well done ✨ maybe it leaves them feeling a nice warmth inside, maybe it can help them relax and takes all their stress away, there’s lots of ways to play with this, and I haven’t properly thought out this idea, so honestly you’re completely free to have fun with it ^u^
Can you tell I have a healthy dislike over Zelda and Hylia? Cause I do ✨ if they won’t appreciate and love the chain, I will project onto y/n cause the boys deserve so much better
— 🫐 anon
🫐anon! Welcome back! We've got a second so the Sadistic! Reader Au is now officially dubbed the 'Sweet but Psycho AU'!
OOOOH you've given me some ideasss.
Like imagine Reader as the Goddess of the Heroes, meant to be an oracle of sorts to the Holder of the Triforce of Courage (Because they obviously cannot trust Hylia to protect them-). So she has this...supernatural link to each of her boys. Only recently, maybe on Sage's journey, is she given a mortal form? Kind of like Hylia but...Better.
And they are just smitten. To know this absolutely divine being has seen them, their deeds, their soul and has deemed them worthy. And when they found out she's an actual celestial being? Perhaps their cornered by a mob of monsters that just keeps going, reader being kept protectively behind them? And then one is struck, and Reader is trying to get to them, but oh no, they start falling like dominos because when one weak point is exposed, it'll get exploited. And, oh does it get exploited. At that point, Reader is just so overwhelmed and her boys are all hurt and the monsters are going to kill them and- She probably calls upon some divine power that wipes them out easily. It leaves her drained, but awake enough to care for the boys. The ones still conscious and stable are left in awe, quickly explaining everything to the others once they're awoken.
Just knowing that their Goddess saved them, even when she didn't have to (She could've run with the monsters preoccupied with them), drives them so much further into their devotion. They could name another Goddess born in their lives, but she would never dream of doing the same for a number of reasons (They had a kingdom to run, who else would carry the Goddess' blood, their a knight and should be able to handle this-). But you did it without hesitation.
FJFJFJ IMAGINE that by saving them, this creates a soul bond between her and each Link. One that the praise makes sing in glory. It makes their nerves settle and wounds just ache less, helps them sleep better, clears their skin, opens their pores- those lost two were jokes, but you get the jist.
I also have a healthy dislike of Hylia and certain Zeldas (Flora, Fauna, Natura. Looking at you three >:(). I kinda wanna bash on them more but I feel like thats mean :(

hello!!! hope u're having an awesome day/evening :DD so anyway, what got u into botw/tloz? also what other fandoms are u in? ur art is so cute btw!!! ♡
awww hii!!!!! thank you for the question and for saying my art is cute! :D :D :D
♡ big long rant below vvv ♡
i first played botw on the wii seven years ago with my big brother when i was really young! at first..i hated it :V the wii sucked and it was SO STRESSFUL when the stal-monsters came and started attacking me! i even tried diving underwater but just got shot a ton,.. so i didn't play it for a year or so before i got it on the switch and absolutely fell in love with it. it was the most beautiful game i'd ever played, i could be a cute boy and run around naked plus I could ahve a horse. i named her milky and i didn't know i could register her so i left her outside of kakariko and she dissapeared. rip milky ;_;
so after about two years of aimlessly exploring hyrule i found some youtube videos during the pandemic. and it was all theories and cutscenes and one about a romance? and i, being a little fruit, saw te pretty girl on the thumbnail and was instantly hooked. because i was link and link was me, so i wanted to see how i could get a cool elf girlfriend (for perfectly straight reasons, of course -w-). so i was entranced with zelink, and princess zelda. i looked at fanart, i shipped until i realised....this was a boring ship and i didn't even like zelda too much, and i hadn't even watched any of the cutscenes yet.
so i watch aaalll the cutscenes, including a very special one, mipha's touch. cue little me squealing and kicking my legs because it's a mermaid and she heals and she's REALLY pretty. so i begin playing through botw's story in earnest. and i try to get to ruta- fail, and do vah medoh instead (and become obsessed with revali..dark days indeed).but now that i have revali's gale i can easily get to zora's domain and OMG! A SHARK PRINCE!!! AND HE'S MIPHA'S LITTLE BROTHER! SO SHE'S ALIVE!
but wait......why was he referring to her in past tense?
and then i see the statue and have a full link moment because i've played hours and hours just so i can see her and seh's dead????????????/ are you friken kidding me???????????????
i struggle through ruta, kill waterblight after many failed attempts and get the cutscene tm . and i'm shattered, but i've realised that this ship is canon af. mipha loved link and he's looking at her with such intensity. and..you know. i'm a young girl with too much time on my hands because of the pandemic. so i start learning to draw mipha so i can make art -w- and she really fuelled my love for art because she makes me happy okay!! 😭😭
after ages of becoming as OP as possible i get through the rest of botw and kill ganon like seven times and woah :0 who would have guessed---aoc comes rolling along. and the trailers have mipha!
and i love aoc and it just fuels my love for botw even more. so now i've completed all of the shrines and am working through the korok seeds =w=
-
as for other fandoms i'm in i'm a little active in the dunmeshi fandom, same with pjo and nier but it's really mostly just loz stuff atp because there's no way i'm letting mipha go after sixish years and her changing my brain chemistry ♡
i'd love to be more active in all fandoms but believe it or not i can be pretty shy + don't have much time on my hands ;w;U
my dream is for my original story to get its own fandom once it's up hehe ♡

Ok, soooo, talking things ig.
My oc was kinda just a character I made up and eventually shoehorned into botw, and he's Time/Twilight's descendant. His family survived the Calamity, only to die in resulting monster attacks over the years, till he was the only one left at a young age. No one would/could help him because they were also trying to deal with their own losses and struggles, leaving him to fend for himself.
He lived alone when one day a very feral and amnesiac Link stumbled across his home in the woods. For whatever reason, Elias certainly didn't know why, this feral child and his wolf companion stick around, and he ends up befriending Link and teaching him basics of human interaction.
Eventually, after Ganon is killed, Elias goes back to the plateau and restores his family's ranch (lon lon ranch) and becomes a popular resting spot for Link and eventually Zelda as well, and he sees them as younger siblings after losing his own.
THE BEAR comes in because Elias had a habit of caring for wild things (*stares at Wild*) and ended up accidently having a bear cub imprinting on him after its mother died.
In the setting of LU, if the boys ever visit, he LIES LIKE THE WIND to avoid any awkwardness between Time, Twilight, and himself. Why? He's awkward as fuck.
There's more, but that's a basic rundown.
The bear's name is Big Mama, btw. It's started as a joke, calling her little mama as a baby, but now she's massive and brings her cubs to see "grandpa" all the time, and the grown cubs come back to visit even after leaving to fend for themselves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Love big mama, big mama is my heart and soul and i would DIE for big mama!!! Big girl and her little cubs— i would either be terrified or start bawling on the spot out of cuteness overload
ALSO ELIAS IS SUCH A GOOD NAME!!!! Love love love it so much omfg
That tragedy of surviving the ‘end of the world’ only to die because of the after shocks is so HEART BREAKING AND TRAGGIIC AND POETIC AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH BUT ALSO UGHHHHHHH POOR KID!!!!!
Iabdjsnjsdj thank you cal <3

Okay, I see your single parent! Player and I raise you: godparent! Player.
This is more in tune with LuImagines blog but I'm gonna put it here because it was introduced here. Hear me out because I'm gonna throw a bunch of ideas at the wall that don't string together at all, instead of player having a kid, mf was literally just babysitting a kid before both of them got scooped up into dink's antics.
(I didn't know the gn term for aunt/uncle so I used godparent, someone who is close to the kid but not 'this is my responsibility') I mentioned Pinky because I can't help but see the kid as just Lucky/kid link of player's Hyrule (I use 'player rather loosely here btw). I say this because 1) the kid's a little shit and 2) the chain absolutely wouldn't let a random person and their child travel with them, not unless the kid in question is another Link, one that is far too young (according to some links) to defend themself against Dink (the person who brought them all here for some reason). Player and Lucky's relationship is like that one meme of the guy holding his kid upside down by the ankles, now it's that x2 because they've adopted wind into their little 'family' and by Hylia if player isn't carbon cut copy of the 'hot mean older brother' I don't know what is.
Or maybe parental figure! Player who is in a similar situation to Eda from The Owl House. "I Don't want kids" "who's that *points to Lucky*" "an exception" or "I've had Lucky(and Wind) for ___ weeks now and if anything happens to them I'm killing everyone and then myself". Player is not a good parental figure, and Time and Twilight both have aneurysms whenever player turns to one of the two and says something like "you wanna know how to make a pipe bomb?""you want to jump off the ledge into the sea? Sure lemme get Wild's slate I want a picture"
I bring this up because Player isn't Link's parent they are but shhh, Link knows that, strangers however, don't.
Player is trying to spit some game, either to get cheaper prices or they saw someone real cute. Either way, it works and said person reciprocates and offers a time for a date. Suddenly a childish voice yells out "HEY MOM/DAD/ETC." Player's soul is halfway to Hylia by the time they feel a small hand grasp theirs with a 'there you are! I've been lookin' all over for ya!'. Player can only look somberly at his huge grin and evil bright eyes. The two immediately walk off, player unable to even look in the merchants direction from sheer embarrassment. A Link is not a Link if they are not a little shit at some point in their life, so you can expect Wind to join in at some point--hell, even Four joined once.
"Why can't you guys just let me have nice things!!!"
"because we're family, dummy."
Also because I did mention lucky and it seems a crime to not include this. Essentially Lucky works because reader decided to defeat Ganon all on their own because Lucky was too young to do so himself. I feel like, while Lucky would be extremely thankful that Player took that burden off of him (and the entirety of Hyrule), I can't help but feel that he would go through a phase of imposter syndrome, especially around 9(10 if First is there) Heroes who are essentially Him but they didn't need help, they actually got the job done all on their own, who is he compared to them? I feel like he and Wind (and probably Wild later on) would really bond in not fitting in with the others, that's probably why Wind was essentially part of your family before the rest were. Maybe Wind tells him that he did have help on his journey, and that her wishes that he had someone like player. Jokes on them both, it doesn't make either of them less of a link, less of a person just because they relied on others for help, that they didn't fulfill destiny as intended
Not looking over this me tired 📦
I'VE HEARD SO MUCH ABOUT LUCKY BUT WHO IS HE??
Okay but Player's just the "I didn't sign up for this but might as well." sort of God parents because if no one else is gonna do it then who will?

No actually where did the whole "og Link has two Zeldas“ thing come from
Because as far as ingame-lore is concerned, that’s Zelda 1 on that altar? The intro was pretty clear on "yo Link it’s me Impa again I know you just killed Ganon but some ass cast a sleeping spell on Zelda and she‘ll only wake if you find the secret third Triforce that was sealed somewhere in Hyrule long ago. Take these crystals to the statues in the other palaces to break the seal, see ya“
The implication being that Ganon‘s followers did that to lure Link out so they can go kill him for good, take the Triforces, and bring Ganon back
Because otherwise it’d be pretty weird for Impa to just. Chill for a few years? And then randomly go "hey btw we had a second Zelda in the basement all along would be cool if you saved her tbh“ one day, and for all the monsters to coincidentally start attacking again at the exact same time
Idk just weird ig, on the wiki page there’s no sources listed for the "there’s a second Zelda“ intro either

Wait now I’m intrigued about the work and ship you mentioned 👀
(You totally don’t have to share if you don’t want to! I totally understand. But also I will say that just bc there isn’t much content or popularity about something, doesn’t mean it’s bad or people don’t like it! And that most definitely should not keep you from sharing something you put time/effort into!!)
(Also 💜💜💜)
It is Vio and Shadow from the Four Swords Manga!
And I hope you don't mind me taking a few minutes to explain who they are just so I can use this as a reference post for the future.
So if you're in the LU fandom you probably know that the LU colors are based off of the manga personalities. Green's the leader, Blue's angry, Red's kind, and Vio's smart. (all gross oversimplifications btw but it gets the main point across)
So the manga starts similar to the game, Shadow (working with Vaati and Ganon) captures Zelda, tricks Link into splitting, and takes over Hyrule Castle. But the plot diverges when the colors are split up, each ended up alone in areas designed to give them character development. And Vio just so happens to end up in a dark forest, where Shadow approaches him and asks him to join the forces of darkness and rule by Shadow's side.
Now, here's the thing that needs clarification. In the manga, Vio isn't only Link's smarts. He's also Link's ambition and his cunning, to the point where he's a shade of morally gray. So, Vio accepts Shadow's offer and switches sides.
But not really, since it turns out the whole thing was a ploy to get information out of Shadow. But uh oh Vio actually starts caring about Shadow, and when he inevitably has to betray Shadow, Vio feels rather guilty about it. (Don't know where to put this, but there's also a duel to the "death" with Green and a whole party where Shadow won't stop flirting with Vio, it's amazing)
After Shadow is betrayed and almost killed by Vio, he talks to Ganon, who is Not Happy that Shadow worked with a hero, and forces him to go back into the light. That's when he talks with Zelda, who tells Shadow that he can be a hero too, and it inspires Shadow to work with the heroes to defeat Vaati and Ganon. (Side note, he does that by shapeshifting to look like Vio, and there's a lot to unpack about that)
Shadow sacrifices himself to stop Vaati and save Hyrule by breaking the source of his power. Vio seems to be the most affected by his decision, kneeling beside Shadow after he falls down and cradling the sparks that Shadow turns into.
It is perfectly done enemies to friends to lovers with the perfect balance angst, and fluff and a top tier character dynamic (bad boy x nerd). It is amazing, and I love them so much.

LoZ - Ganon's Parents
You know what I just realized?
We never learn about Ganon's mother.
Like, yeah, we learn about Kōme & Kotake, but they are his surrogate mothers, not his biological ones. Which, in this situation, means that he was adopted.
Like, I know that a surrogate mother today means a woman who's been payed to have someone else's baby, but the thing is, in such situations wouldn't that baby have been given to the person who bought it? Which, holy shit, that's really gross.
But, Ganondorf wasn't. He was raised by Kōme & Kotake, so why specify them as his surrogate mothers? Which, btw, if that were the definition being used, they would just be his mothers. In fact, provided that definition was true, only 1 of the pair would be his mother while the other would be his aunt.
And no, I don't think that they're supposed to be a lesbian couple. They look identical & when they fuse, they're referred to as the Twinrova.
Suggesting that they're twin sisters.
Unless people are suggesting that they're incestuous, which gross. And, now that I think about it, could explain why Ganon ends up a tyrant. If they're incestuous, there's no telling what else they support. What they taught him to be okay with. No telling what they did to him growing up. Which, again, could explain why he ends up a tyrant as it suggests that he could've been groomed & abused in one way or another, which would actually make me sympathetic to him to a degree. They're called witches too.
And I've also seen someone say that they believed that Gerudo were hermaphroditic, which would be the only way that both could actually be his biological mothers. But then, again, even if this was true, why specify them as his surrogate mothers & not just his mothers period? In fact, if it were true, then why would "male" Gerudo be considered so significant? I mean, it'd be irrelevant.
But, if my thoughts are true & neither one is his biological mother, then this suggests that his biological mother isn't in the picture for one reason or another. Whether because she's dead or something else.
And the fact that Kōme & Kotake were hinted at again in TotK suggests that this happened again.
So, does this mean that Gerudo who birth males tend to abandon them?
Is that what happens to the 100 year voe? Are they just left out in the desert to die like Hagar tried to do to Ishmael?? That's messed up!
Or did something more sinister happen? What if Kōme & Kotake killed his parents & took him in order to make him the Ganondorf that we know?
What if they are worshipers of Demise & are the true villains of the story?
For that matter, who were his fathers in both instances?
Was he human or Hylian or Sheikah?
Personally, I think for TotK Ganon, I might make him the son of a Tabanthan native. Someone who'd grown up in Tabantha Village, which I tend to portray the humans that live in Hebra as being very Norse-adjacent. So, yes, his dad has some serious Viking-coding.
In fact, I think I'll make him have inherited a lot of his features.
His mother? I see having been a Highland Gerudo, which I tend to portray as being much less... discriminatory against the male populous & doesn't bar them entry to their town which I call Ealiyah.

Ganon-Centric Story Idea
I have no idea whether this would be a game idea or a fanfic that someone could write someday, but I think the idea of some kind of Redemption story for Ganondorf could be really interesting to tackle.
I have had this idea in my brain for years, ever since I read a fic on FF dot net called “Cry for Hyrule”. I thought it was a really cool story, and did a good job of making Ganondorf a more nuanced character without handwaving the bad things he’d done in the past. Or trying to reframe the goddesses/spirits as evil, hateful beings who don’t actually care about the people they’re supposed to be helping/protecting.
(It also tackled some logic problems in the game it was mostly focused on, like Link being thrown in over his head so often. Or the trees the Koroks were planting to lower the waters always dying despite raising Hyrule being one of Ganondorf’s goals. This was a Wind Waker fic, btw)
I’ve always believed that people aren’t born evil, not even as the result of a curse. Which makes thinking about Ganondorf’s original motives and fall from grace really interesting for me.
He could have, at one time, had very good intentions and reasons for his actions. But then Demise’s Curse over Hyrule took those intentions and twisted them until they became unrecognizable.
Reincarnation exists in the Zelda-verse, even if it’s more of a Vishnu style incarnation/avatar situation rather than a full rebirth.
A reincarnation story built around Ganondorf himself could be really cool. And him working to redeem himself of his past actions could be a deeply moving game/story. With him trying to prove/separate himself from the actions of his past life and prove himself as a skilled/capable King of the Gerudo.
Or maybe the evil was scrubbed off from his soul enough to return him (at least partially) to the person he’d been before the curse Twisted him, and looking back at his past actions horrifies/disgusts him. I mean, he’s constantly being walloped with sacred and/or blessed weapons. The idea that, at some point, those could scrape off the evil to bring back the person he used to be seems possible. Or it being done intentionally as some kind of “weaken the bad guy by turning him back to before he got the evil power boost” type of plan.
And this change is enough that the Tri-force goddesses (or maybe even the mystery goddess the Gerudo worshipped back in OoT) are willing to give him a chance. A chance to prove himself. The chance to clean the rest of the evil away. The chance to prove he really is worthy of their blessing.
I think it would be a really cool story to read/play through. And it could be a great chance to expand Ganondorf’s personality and to explore more of the Gerudo’s culture.
I have to admit, the chance to play as Ganondorf in a jrpg type of game would be fascinating. (Maybe one of those ones with a settlement/kingdom builder thing too… For him trying to prove he really is a good leader/King.)
Or one of those branching storyline games, the sort with more than one ending that you get to by making different decisions in game. Good, Neutral, and Bad endings based on choices you make.
God, the more I talk about this, the more I want it…
(For fanfic, the idea of a story or a crossover where Ganondorf is trying to redeem himself by building a new settlement somewhere or trying to help a hero as part of his redemption could be really good.)
(I don’t know why my brain keeps chucking Naruto at me, but him accidentally kidnapping a little Naruto because of how much he looks like the brat who finally stopped/killed him and then raising/training him could be fun. Maybe the goal Ganon thinks he’s supposed to be fulfilling is finding a place to build a new Kingdom to make up for the one he annihilated/raised to the ground, but no. It’s raising this Prophecy child to do better than he would if left to his own devices.)
(Okay, I am done rambling about all this now. Please, someone either make/write this, or help me figure out enough to at least start writing it myself.)

You know, I never really liked Wind Waker (the graphics make me motion sick) but it had one of the best stories of all the Zelda franchise.
Not to mention it literally has one of the best Links of all time.
Like, almost all (if not all) other Links are destined by Hylia/the Golden Goddesses to become their champion and win over Ganon/Ganondorf/Demise. WW Link literally forced the Golden Goddesses to accept him as their champion because a bird stole his sister. (A fucking plus brotherly instincts right there btw )
Let me reiterate that.
A fucking bird stole this kid’s little sister and he got so mad and worried about his sister, that he literally forced the Goddesses of his world to accept him as their chosen one. Without being scared shitless or skirting around that responsibility.
He literally said “they took my sister so you are going to help me or so help me I will tear this world apart looking for her” and if that isnt badass I dont know what is.
Also there’s the whole “killing the living embodiment of Evil” thing. Every Link kills Ganon/Ganondorf/Demise in some form or fashion (sealing him in some Realm most of the time) but no other Link goes to the extreme of putting a sword through his head, now do they? He didn’t have to. He had found his sister by that point and guaranteed she was safe, but he continued to be the chose one of the Goddesses. Without complaint.
Someone could probably say this whole spill a lot better than me and with a lot more details, but I just think it’s totally badass of a like, 12 year old kid to face Death and Destruction multiple times for the sake of his lil sister. A bond between siblings saved an entire world.
Anyways, TL;DR- Wind Waker Link is badass because he saved an entire world for the sake of his sister and forced the hand of Goddesses in his sister’s name. He also killed a man in an admittedly violent way and that’s admirable.
