🎨 When did you start creating art for the Inception fandom, and what is your inspiration?

So... I remember I've been doodling Inception thingies since... 2017? 2018? Something like that! But I wouldn't say I was doing it for the fandom, since I've never posted anything back then hahaha so, formally I'd say I posted my first fanart in 2020! My inspiration has always been JGL and Tom Hardy's performance as Arthur and Eames :') they were the ones that brought me into the fandom, after all!

🎨 Tell us about your creative process, and which part do you enjoy the most about it?

I just really love talking with friends and having a brainstorming session... There's nothing quite like the feeling of talking passionately about something with someone and your mind going BONKERS with ideas!! Like, you NEED to get up and get your pencil ASAP!!! Sometimes I struggle with coming up with ideas for a piece on my own, it's always easier to have someone else by your side and giving you motivation <3 So yes. That's definitely my favorite part.

🎨 Link us to your first and latest artwork, and how your style has evolved since then?

Oh boy...

MY STYLE IS STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS!! I mean... I guess all artists feel this way hahaha but seriously, just look at these two things!! I've always doodled, but I definitely lost precious years while I was in school. Years I could've used for improving my technique =( So... I technically just started drawing again for like, 4 years or so, and digitally for 2! It's still a very short time!! STILL A LONG WAY TO GO! LOTS TO LEARN, LOTS TO IMPROVE! Style's always flowing, always changing hahaha but that's okay! I'm not too worried about it. I just want to get to a place where I can be more confident in myself and not be immediately ashamed when I do post something. That's the ultimate goal tbh!

🎨 What is your absolute favorite piece of art that you've made, and why?

Probably the pieces I made for Mousie's fic <3 our collab was SO fun and she is now a friend!! And I LOVE FRIENDS!!! Honorary mention to: the trans Arthur collab for Red's fic and the silly Cats The Musical AU, just because I love mixing up my hyperfixations together LMAO

🎨 What is something about Inception that you really want to make art for someday, and why?

I'd really love to make more A/E content =( Not doing lovey-dovey stuff though, but thief shit shdgfhs DON'T GET ME WRONG, I love my Dreamhusbands being all domestic, but I do enjoy their illegal side more hehehe covered in blood, firing guns, punching other thieves... Just being total badasses, y'know? I'd also love to make a piece with all the characters in it. I do love the movie itself as a whole, it's my favorite movie after all! It'd be like a tribute <3 but... sounds too complicated, for now haha

I've loved Inception since it came out, but I never went into the fandom... Not until an ARTHUR/EAMES FANART showed up on my dashboard and I went "oh LOL what??? Such a weird couple, they don't even talk that much in the movie"... yeah HAHAHA next time I watched the thing, my third eye had been opened and I was like. HOLY HELL... THEY ARE BITTER EXES!! So yes, art is fundamental in fandoms because you never know where or when you'll lure more fans/shippers into the community, like me :-) haha I'm so happy to be a part of it <3 even when I'm not as active as before.

The Inception fandom has been the best fandom ever in my opinion. Almost 0 drama, plenty of INCREDIBLE art and fics that make you weep and squeak!! Almost 12 years and still going strong, baby!! THANK YOU INCEPTION FANDOM FOR GIVING ME SO MUCH JOY <3 and thank you Alicia for making this wholesome event!!!

here's a recent short bit of my Luis study 🫣

A heavy hand pushes at his back, so he kneels, as they all do, heads bowed down and fingers laced together, lips moving breathlessly in silent prayers. Grandfather's hands are still, for once; more scar than skin—but motionless, and it is strange, and so Luis laces his own, even though he does not know what to pray for.

He watches, then, instead of praying, as dust settles in the thin grey hair of Old María. Watches as the candle flames dance on each side of the altar, breaking the shadows that sit silently on the bare old walls. And when the prayer breaks into song, he watches Grandfather's face soften and wonders if he knows, for a fact, what God really looks like.
