5. do you respond to comments? why or why not?

i do!! even if it takes a few days (where i’m likely just staring at nice words in my inbox and using them as fuel to brighten my mood) i love having that connection, and seeing maybe what stood out to someone who read my silly little story

6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

any of my codas that i wrote immediately after an episode aired—my 3x02 spec fic some and now none of you, or my 3x07 coda/3x08 spec fic not a victory march—simply because we didn’t know the outcome for these storylines yet, and i let myself get angsty.

7. what’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

i think 95% of my fics have happy endings but to shout one out in particular….hm. i’d say got real love maybe—truly just. fluff. and the boys coming home to each other and making that official. i also think the proposal bliss in (not afraid of) living on a fault line has got to be up there as well

8. do you get hate on fics?

nothing major

9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?

i’ve always stuck to very implied levels of smut in my fics….idk i always worry i won’t be able to make it sound good when there’s people out there who do it brilliantly. however i’m challenging myself with food fic which does have some smut (with feelings. oh the feelings)

10. do you write crossovers? what’s the craziest one you’ve written?

crossovers aren’t really my thing!!

11. have you ever had a fic stolen?

not that i know of

12. have you ever had a fic translated?

nope, would be honoured though!

13. have you ever co-written a fic before?

love helping with brainstorming bits, but have never actually co-written anything

14. what’s your all time favourite ship?

tarlos brainrot always and forever

15. what’s a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

i have tons of ideas that i never commit to, which sucks. off the top of my head…the andrea & tk fic that i just never got into a flow with

16. what are your writing strengths?

i think i’m strongest when it comes to setting a scene; when exploring what that character is feeling. i like to think i can kind of evoke a mood through imagery? i’m most comfortable when it comes to introspection and exposition and general narrative

17. what are your writing weaknesses?

i tell myself i’m getting better, but i’d say dialogue is the constant thing that throws me off. i also worry i over-write sometimes

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

i like it, if it’s being done with good intentions and suits the character. i’d imagine for heavier dialogue it would make sense to ask for someone who speaks the language to read it over to make sure it’s accurate

i can’t choose, so i present to you two wildly different honeymoons. first, dream this night away—almost 8.5k words after a seven month gap between posting when my writer’s block was at an ultimate high. then of course, to which there is no reply—i’ve been growing happier and happier with my writing especially with these last few fics of mine, and this one is something i’m just super proud of, and the support on it definitely brought me to tears a bit ajdnskdn

Thoughts while rewatching 4x01 - 4x04 -

Episode 4x04 - this does include thoughts that span the whole arc - so spoilers ahead.

Excellent opening – great set up to the creepy mother/son duo

·  She is so matter of fact about the blood and shovel

·  But so happy for Carlos that he is engaged

·  So polite to his kidnapper – polar opposite to TNT when they were kidnapped in 2x08

·  She is so unconcerned about the dead woman in her pantry

·  Thunderwear

·  Not a fan of the FBI lady that says they are done with Owen in the last ep, then is back to it in this one.

·  The Instagram comment was funny

·  agreed with the FBI lady when she said it would be great if O’Brien was going to get rid of the witness

·  I still think people should only go to Owen for advice about fires, aliens, health food recipes, & skin care.

·  There is a whole ass body blocking the door jam – the only fix to that is removing the body.

·  Rafa does so well in these scenes – his total disdain for the man, trying to sympathize with the mother

·  These creepy fucks are so matter of fact when they talk about how to kill Carlos

·  I guess at least they agree that they don’t want blood

·  At least Marj agrees with TK that something is up with Carlos ghosting him

·  I knew he would get Nancy to call either Carlos or Iris – I even had it in my spec fic

·  The way Mateo realized right away that something was wrong when Nancy asked about the visitor logs

·  Also, how calm Nancy remained when she was getting info that she knew was going to be bad for TK

·  Honestly, I would have made their ears hurt with the bike too

·  I love that TK knows Carlos enough to know that this isn’t right, that the behavior is the opposite of everything he knows of Carlos

·  The Grace call was great – “Its not completely illegal, it’s not completely legal either.” Then just doing it

·  This dude is a dick to his mom – but she still helps him with his murdering (even if it is just not telling on him & feeding his victims)

·  The bluebird song while creepy man is taking Carlos’ car is interesting

·  The scenes with Owen & the nazi biker gang were honestly fairly anticlimactic – only served to take me out of the rest of the episode – Now, had they done some of this when Carlos wasn’t being held captive – then maybe they would have had more of an impact

·  Literally going to everyone to try to find Carlos

·  I love that we are getting to see the Reyes home – I never thought they lived on a ranch – just that they had one in the family

·  The only person with a braincell at that table in the roadhouse was O’Brien – Owen had already used all of his up in the last episode

·  Gee no wonder he wanted to join the MC – you gave him a cool nickname – “Honor pup”

·  “I’m a fireman – our codes are like, Fire!” Was a great line with great delivery

·  We’re screwed – not really, apparently the MC finds ya’ll to be a joke

·  I always apologize to the people for the mess I made when they bashed my head with a shovel. Make more of a mess babe. More mess.

·  I think she does truly regret having to hurt Carlos – but her blind love for her murdering son is her downfall

·  Oh, her again – she needs to be moved to another department – she isn’t that great at finding living missing people – or believing people when they were missing about why they were missing

·  This episode does NOT make the police look good, like not a single one of them

·  TK speaking the truth about how the detective treated Iris – especially as one of the paramedics that treated her.

·  TK was there to watch this detective blow off Carlos’ concerns

·  I love that Gabriel acknowledges his failings as a parent – if only another father will do that this season (I know that Ronen has been teasing a “beautiful scene” that explains their relationship)

·  Of course, your serial killer son wouldn’t like an increased police presence in his neighborhood – he might get caught – at least if the members of the APD that were present were competent.

·  “I love the Gays.” – this just makes me think of SJP in The Family Stone “I love the gays.” Like it is on repeat in my head

·  God, Ronen killed this ep just as much as Rafa – the police station scene was great for him

·  The “you’re not the only that loves him TK” part of Gabriel’s speech was not something I enjoyed – because at no point did TK ever think he was. The rest of the speech was just fine & got the point across without that dig. I know a lot of people loved it, but for me, it just added a bit of you don’t matter – just remember that – to it, for me. He was trying to understand why Gabriel was so calm – he wasn’t acting like he was the only one that loved Carlos

·  Detective TK to the rescue – the useless one just discounted anything about the other victims because of their mental illnesses. Didn’t look at anything as obvious as the fact that they all went to the same pharmacy

·  Details matter detective – a paramedic shouldn’t be doing your job for you

·  Still so polite to the creepy lady

·  That she has to refer to eating the cookies she made as Stealing some of her own cookies says a lot about the relationship with her son

·  Yes, hearing someone screaming in the neighborhood that you are looking for a missing person in, then just shrugging it off is excellent police work – on par with the rest of the police work this episode

·  I like how he could just take 3 vials of morphine like it was no big deal.

·  Carlos is correct – that man is not capable of loving anyone

·  His words about Gwyn & TK were so sweet

·  Finally got through to her, too bad it was when her killer son got home

·  He should have just kept pelting him with the hot pan

·  TK going into paramedic mode, but still doing what he could to comfort Carlos

·  The way that Gabriel started dropping his cop mode once he saw his son on the floor – I think that the gun in his hand was the only thing that kept him in cop mode at all.

·  “You just died” at least TK was able to say that to someone else now. The look like “Wtf is wrong with your” from TK that followed that was amazing

·  The parallels from 2x08 are plentiful – but also to several other episodes

·  Cool – Owen made the 126 targets again – what a surprise

·  So, after watching it all the way through – the thing that would have made the marriage thing totally not a big deal to me – would have been to either have it not be a secret to TK, just to us the viewers (could have been off screen like so many other conversations) or if they had acknowledged it was a lie – even if it was a lie by omission – your legal marital status is kinda important when you are PLANNING A WEDDING.

·  One of those two things would have made this all make enough sense that I didn’t have to do Olympic level gymnastics.

·  Instead, they acted like not telling the person that you own real estate with, that you agreed to marry that your are already legally married is totally normal. Then when this lie caused a delay (as temporary as it may be) to the short ass time frame that Carlos gave them – TK goes to find out why – and then everything else is his fault. Even if it is just to himself & the large portion of the fandom that froths at the bit whenever they can jump all over him.

·  Personal note – I do see this particular issue through my own irl experiences. I am the TK in my life – the one that gets blamed for everything – even the things that are beyond or no where near my control. This is probably why it annoys me so much how eager the writers and a lot of viewers just use him as a vessel of blame.

·  The Owen storyline is dragging on – for at least 2 more episodes – can we please have a break from anything Owen only centric until the next season.

·  No Tommy or Grace in 4x04 felt weird

·  CAN’T FUCKING WAIT FOR 4x05 and Marjan’s storyline

·  The acting is superb

·  If they hadn’t so frequently spoiled that Carlos is fine after 4x04 long before 4x04 aired – I think I would have found this to be more intense or suspenseful – but it wasn’t – knowing that he was going to be fine.

·  However, that did make it so I could just pay attention to the acting, the dialog.

·  I don’t think I can say enough about the acting in this episode – this season. They have all been at the top of their game & I am grateful for it.

·  There were so many quotable moments in this episode that will stick with us for a long time

·  They are doing a lot better job with making us guess on what happens with Marjan than they did with Carlos – she hasn’t been in any stills after 4x05

·  Ready to see more Paul, Marjan, Nancy, Mateo, Judd, etc.

Exactly what it says on the tin. Carlos is presented with many moments in which he could pop the question, but somehow the universe keeps thwarting him. But by golly, he's gonna get down on one knee if it kills him.

I love a good 5 +1 fic and I love this one so much. every single one of the scenarios is so clever and the final +1 is so so sweet and just fits them so well. I love too that it predicts Carlos’ bad luck in the show in organising dinners for tk - all round it’s a fantastically written fic and very heartwarming.

TK just wanted to dance with Carlos at the Austin Police Charity Gala, but a broken foot keeps him from attending. Carlos makes sure he gets his dance anyway.

accident prone TK + Carlos in a suit + flirting and dancing in the living room = the sweetest fic with beautiful writing as always from this author. i love this as a form of insight into their domesticity and established relationship and its such an intimate sort of moment.

I was checking the live+3 ratings for 911 and The Masked Singer & thinking about your spec over which show/timeslot the skip was suppose to be helping, & I noticed that while the live numbers are pretty close with 911 ahead slightly, after the 3 day delay 911 really pulls ahead. But Singer stays about 0.1 ahead in demo even with the 1.5mil extra viewers 911 gets. So I have nothing to add to what you've already theorised but I am strangely eager to see how Singer does in the timeslot.

Both times there's been a pause between episodes in the fall (2x08 // 2x09 + 3x08 // 3x09) the station chose to air a rerun. Deviating from that pattern to give the TV audience content of TMS where "new hints and clues are dropped for those who have yet to be revealed." makes it pretty clear, IMO, what the goal is with this.

The show *did* gain 10% of it's 18-49 demo back on Wednesday night, so this decision may have come at just the right time. You can bet I'll be checking for those numbers on Tuesday. ;)

hello!! i just wanted to ask- i wanna do an ouat rewatch bc CAPTAIN SWANN but its pretty long and i honestly dont care for the other characters/how badly the overall writing was handled.. which are your favourite captain swan eps? anything them centered and i think ill just skip around to rewatch their romance as they did invent romance 😭😭 ty in advance <3

they absolutely did invent romance, you are right about that and i love them so much

UHMMMM as far as my favorite CS eps, here’s a roadmap of what I personally consider key eps in their journey (some of this is from memory but I haven’t done a full rewatch in a while so i’m going through the episode list as a refresher)

2x06: Tallahassee--this is a must-watch ep for any CS fan, and I really think this is the episode that sparked the fire that CS would become as a fandom. It has everything--flirtatious banter, all kinds of tension, deliberate parallels drawn between Emma and Killian’s pasts, as well as their first meeting being intercut with her relationship with Neal (which serves, especially in hindsight, to highlight just how sketchy that relationship was, and why she couldn’t bring herself to trust Killian--because the last time she felt this way about anyone, it ended horribly)

2x08 and 2x09: Into the Deep and Queen of Hearts--these episodes cover the race to the portal between Emma&co and Hook/Cora and while they don’t do a ton for CS as a relationship since they’re still enemies at this point, it lays great foundation for their future relationship development. Plus, sexy swordfight, Hook going out of his way to save Aurora’s heart--he may be a pirate, but he has standards ok--and Emma realizing Cora can’t remove her heart without her permission? Poetic Cinema

2x11: The Outsider--more of a Killian-centric episode, it shows a lot of Killian at his worst but it’s necessary for his overall character arc and I genuinely love looking back and seeing just how far he managed to come, to the point of eventually even letting go of his (very understandable) grudge against Rumplestiltskin.

2x12: In the Name of the Brother--am I including this purely for Emma&Hook banter in the hospital, and Killian saying ‘hey beautiful’ when he’s lying on the road because he just got hit by a fucking car? You bet I am. Also, go to youtube and look up ‘ouat season two deleted scene jello’, because it’s beautiful and there was a tremendous outcry in the fandom when we realized it had been cut from the episode lmao (It’s also the episode that made me start shipping Frankenwolf, which I’m still sad never went anywhere, but they had a lot of potential and great chemistry.)

2x22: And Straight On Till Morning--A few of the episodes in between have some fun minor interactions and flashbacks (and I always approve of episodes where Killian gets one up on Rumple, so 2x15 is fun for me if i ignore all the Neal bits) but the finale is where we finally get a glimpse of who Killian could be beyond his need for revenge. He didn’t have to come back, he didn’t have to bring back the bean and help the town--but he did.

Season 3a: there’s a lot of really good stuff here for Hook and Emma that is interwoven between the A plots of other episodes. I think, as far as half-season arcs go, it’s one of the best (and everything after 4a bombed hard, but I digress) But there are a few episodes that stand out if you don’t want to watch the whole season. (I recommend starting with the premier though, it was a really solid season starter overall.)

3x05: Good Form--this is the culmination of David’s poisoned-by-dreamshade arc, and is also Peak Captain Charming Bromance. Hook not only keeping David’s secret, but doing everything he can to help save him??? Poetic cinema. It also provides some crucial Killian backstory, showing how he lost his brother to the very same dreamshade. Plus, the character development--Pan offers Killian a chance to escape the island with Emma if he kills David, and instead, he saves him, refusing the deal and damn the consequences. Also also? The first CS kiss which drove the fandom WILD.

3X06: Ariel--not only to I love OUaT’s take on Ariel, but this episode has the infamous Echo Cave scene, which involves a lot of feelsy confessions and Killian being the one to tell everyone that Neal is alive and helping Emma save him despite his own growing feelings for her.....IT’S JUST A LOT AND I LOVE IT.

3x07: Dark Hallow--oh man, I’d forgotten about this episode, but it has Killian and Neal fighting over Emma, which may sound eye-roll worthy, but Emma is allowed to tear them a new one about it and it’s one of the few times she’s allowed to actually???? put her own feelings first so I have to include it here on spec

3x11 and 3x12: Going Home and New York City Serenade--these mark the end of 3a and start of 3b respectively, and it has some amazing shit like Killian vowing never to forget Emma and Emma smiling as she replies, “Good.” And then she and Henry are in New York with their memories completely altered, but Killian shows up because Storybrooke is back and in jeopardy, and he helps Emma get back to her family and her home and, much later, Emma finds out he sold the Jolly Roger to be able to do it and it’s just. It’s beautiful ok.

3x17: The Jolly Roger--there’s honestly not a whole lot in the back half of season 3 (until the CS movie) but of course anything named for Hook is a must-watch, and this is where we get the iconic line I swear on Emma Swan--which is Killian saying he’s in love with her before he even realizes it. We also find out just what he did to Ariel, and his attempts to make amends are what lead to Zelena being able to curse him, so it’s great from a character perspective as well.

The next four episodes round out the end of the season, and there’s a lot of great stuff in them--Hook refusing to get Emma to kiss him, but Emma feeling like she can’t trust him because he didn’t tell her about the curse to begin with, and then kissing him anyway to save his life regardless of the consequences.... but the only ones that are absolutely necessary are the final two episodes.

They are colloquially termed ‘The Captain Swan Movie’ for a reason, after all.

Killian and Emma essentially have an entire Time Travel adventure all to themselves, where they accidentally ruin her parents first meeting and have to fix it so that she’ll even be born, Emma finally getting into the storybook, the pair of them dancing at a ball, Killian rushing to save Emma only for her to get out of the cell herself, because “The only one who saves me is me.” Killian saying “I would go to the ends of the world for her... or time.” Finally fixing the timeline and making it back to Storybrooke and Killian feeling like he doesn’t deserve a place at the table so he doesn’t go inside, but Emma comes out to him anyway and finds out he gave up the Jolly Roger for her, the true start to their relationship...... IM CRYING JUST THINKING ABOUT IT I’M SORRY.

I personally really enjoyed 4a, the Frozen arc was one of the last good half-season arcs of the show, but a lot of people disliked it so it’s really up to interpretation. I don’t have as many Intense Opinions on this season (except hating almost everything about 4b and the queens of darkness arc), but I will say the episodes with good Killian/CS moments are 4x02 (Emma nearly freezes to death, Killian is desperate to save her, Captain Charming teamwork, my heart hurts), 4x04 (Emma asks Killian out on a real date, he tries to get his real hand back from Gold, things go massively awry and he winds up back under Gold’s thumb), 4x08 (Killian tries to save Emma from Gold’s plans), 4x11 (the 4a finale is just great in general), and then..... it cannot be overstated how much I hate season 4b, but 4x15 is the Killian-centric ep where his past with Ursula is revealed and he makes amends to her in order to get her to leave the QoD alliance and it’s great character stuff for him, and then there’s the season 4 finale.

Both parts are worth watching, if only because Deckhand Coward Hook still being a braver, more heroic man than ‘Hero Rumplestiltskin’ warms the very cockles of my heart, and of course the second part of the finale has him helping Henry to save Emma and it’s beautiful and also Emma watches him die for her and it is angsty as FUCK but gods I love it. Here’s where it gets tricky, though--my recommendation is, turn the episode off right after Emma finds Killian back in the present day of Storybrooke and they reunite.

Just turn off the episode there and skip right ahead to the s6 musical episode (Emma and Killian’s wedding ep) and pretend they got married and none of seasons 5 or 6 ever happened. >.> (Although I will say certain parts of the Underworld arc were incredibly feelsy despite how much I overall hated the season: 5x11 (the 5a finale, Killian as the dark one STILL being a better man than rumple, we love to see it), 5x15 (I am not immune to Brothers Jones feelings ok), 5x20 (emma literally takes a True Love Test trying to find a way to save killian, you don’t get more romantic than that--also Killian telling Emma to promise she won’t put her armor back up just because she lost him again??? my HEART), 5x21 (Hook does what he can from the Underworld anyway and zeus sends him back to Emma, they really just said ‘today I will invent romance’ and then Did That)

And then, yeah, just skip to the wedding. It’s beautiful, I enjoyed the music, personally, though I know musical episodes are hit or miss with most people. And if you turn it off when the last musical number starts (after the wedding ceremony, I believe) you can pretend it was the end of the show! =DDD

.....Oh my god I just rambled for years. I HOPE YOU FIND THIS USEFUL, ANON. I 100% support a CS-centered rewatch, their episodes were consistently some of the best across the entire series, and they are truly one of my favorite romances of all time.

I wouldn’t mind seeing double whump for 2x08 tbh like tk having the nasty head wound from being hit in the head with the gun, like major concussion (nausea, blurred/spotty vision, trouble balancing so he really doesn’t move from maybe the spot he was hit at or drug to sit in another spot idk) and then you have Carlos who comes in all worried and shit happens and he gots shot (I’ll say a through and through shot near the hip area) and tk knows it’s him and is trying to get over there to him but doesn’t have balance and can’t see/doesn’t realize carlos’ dad is also right there, so you have nancy with tk and tommy working on carlos and getting the bleeding to stop and then more help arrives and cue angsty hospital time. I know we won’t get this but damn it lives rent free in my head ever since it came to mind 😔 I live for double whump if I’m honest, if only I was talented enough to write something like this I totally would lol

sweet, falling remedy

There are brief flashes of what happened—the stuffy, crowded van and the panic in Nancy’s eyes—but all TK can focus on is the dull ache that spreads through his whole body and the all-too familiar brightness of the hospital room and the warm, steady weight of a hand in his.

Or, a 2x08 spec fic.

TK’s barely halfway down the stairs when he stops and smiles, suddenly overwhelmed by what he sees in the kitchen.

Soft music plays from his boyfriend’s phone on the island, the whole room washed in pinkish sunlight from the open windows. What he’s most smitten over is Carlos, though, who is humming under his breath as he cracks eggs into a pan with one hand. TK picks up his pace a little, hearing his boyfriend huff a laugh as he curls his arms around him from behind, pressing his cold nose to the crook of Carlos’ neck.

“How are you so cold in the morning?” Carlos asks, turning his head to the side to catch sight of him in his peripheral.

TK shrugs, and burrows even closer, tightening his grip around Carlos’ waist. “Because you so rudely got up before me.”

“I’m always up before you,” Carlos points out, and TK kisses his boyfriend’s neck in response before moving to his favourite spot: on the counter, next to the sink, close enough that his knee brushes against Carlos whenever he shifts his position in front of the stove.

When he hoists himself up and gets comfortable, TK sits back and takes in the sight of his boyfriend, who somehow manages to look beautiful even at five in the morning. He’s in the dark blue shirt he’d been wearing before they called it a night; the front of the shirt’s a little wrinkled, but that doesn’t stop the sleeves from straining against his biceps—nor does it stop TK from staring at them. His hair’s loose, a little mussed up both from TK’s fingers and sleep. The smile he throws him when he realizes TK’s staring is soft, and knowing, and TK thinks, I love you.

“I love you,” he says out loud seconds later, because he can.

Lucifer 2x08 dangling thread

Does anyone else think Ella seeing Uriel's grave is going to come back and bite Lucifer later? Just imagine a body turning up somewhere, and Ella links the dirt on the body to the dirt she collected with the foot print mold at Uriel's grave site. Of course she confronts Lucifer, and of course he doesn't have any good answers (aside from having no knowledge of the new grave site where Maze and Amenadiel hid Uriel's body). I mean, like, I can imagine Chloe eventually accepting Lucifer is the devil, but I can't imagine her dealing with learning Lucifer is a murderer.

Arrow 7x16 FULL ON FREAK OUT:

So I think people either loved or hated 7x16, depending on whether or not we are into the Flash Forwards or not. I LOVED IT. And honestly I DON'T KNOW HOW I AM SUPPOSED TO CONTINUE TO LIVE AFTER THAT OPENING.

I don’t have coherent thoughts yet, so here’s just a list of things that murdered me I loved:

WHEN WE SEE IN THE REFLECTION THAT HE LAYS HIS HEAD AGAINST HERS.

"I love you so much." / "I love you so much. I'll love you even more after this baby's out of me." AND HIS SMILE AT FELICITY BEING FELICITY.

AND THE WAY HE KISSES HER HEAD, FOR SOOO LONG! (3x09 parallels my heart!)

AND THE HANDS! THE HANDS! I KNEW ABOUT THE HANDS YET I WAS STILL NOT PREPARED!!

AND THEN THEIR FACES WHEN THEY SEE MIA OH GOD!!!!!!!!!

I think a lot of people aren’t liking Mia’s attitude? I want to be clear that I LOVE HER!. I do agree that Mia's tantrum at Felicity was a little fast...and super overblown, but whatever. There’s more to the story than we’re seeing. She’s clearly felt isolated her whole life and probably felt a little betrayed by her mom’s secret. We’ll probably find out more about their relationship, but even if we don’t, whatever. It’s a means to an end and I choose to just go with it.

(oh and btw confirmation that Felicity isn’t dead. Big duh. Better confirmation: SHE IS WEARING HER WEDDING RING. 🙌🙌🙌)

The fact that Felicity financed William’s startup is both

not surprising, like we were expecting something like that all along, but also

MURDERING ME WITH FEELS because like he thought she abandoned him 😭 and that he was alone 😭 and that she didn’t care 😭 and like 😭😭😭😭

AND THEN MIA SAYS "Guess she might have been watching over you, after all” and honestly WTF HOW DARE!?!?!?!?!

AND THE FACT THAT WILLIAM HUGS HER AND FORGIVES HER AND CHOOSES TO FIGHT WITH HER IS JUST 😭 And they are really going with this redemption theme in all directions and UGHHHHH it’s not FAIR

FELICITY IN THE FIELD WITH THE TEAM, WITH HER CHILDREN!? Just go ahead and murder me some more, okay??? 😭 And Felicity in the green mask. And all three of them being so fucking badass. And such a good team.

Felicity as the one who showed Oliver that there’s another way, and then her way became his way, and that hope, that optimism, IT IS AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THEM 😩😩😩

So anyway, to wrap up, my very loose, not-thoroughly-vetted spec for the rest of the flash forwards this season (contains spec and spoilers):

I do not believe Oliver is dead, at all. The way they speak of him in 7x16 (in the present tense, without any “reverence” that you would reserve for a fallen hero, etc.) only make me more certain of this.

furthermore, I don’t think there’s much of a mystery as far as Oliver is concerned in the future. I think it’s only a mystery to the audience. Again, no one seems particularly concerned about him in the future.

this leads me to believe that he’s alive, but that people have made “mental peace” with his status. I think this means he’s thought to be either a) EVIL or b) CRAZY and that he might be believed to be locked up or in some other way neutralized.

but I also believe that that’s UNTRUE and only what Oliver and Felicity want people to believe; I think they’re working on something together, whether taking down Galaxy One or something even bigger.

BTW I still think most of this episode tracks with this spec.

my main question being that, if Galaxy One and the Ninth Circle are basically the same, then it wouldn’t make sense for Felicity to have said that “this is not about Oliver.” So...questions remain. We’ll definitely find out sooner rather than later.

So coming up with have the Canaries episode, where we’ll possibly wrap up Black Siren’s storyline...which would explain her absence in the future.

and everyone wants to know WHERE IS JOHN DIGGLE: well, I predict John’s upcoming episode (Spartan - is it 7x19? I think?) is when we’ll finally see him in the future, I think. Bit clearly he has something to do with the anti-Argus group, and clearly that will stem directly from the 7x19 storyline that will deal with John/Lyla/Argus/Ben Turner/baby Connor/John’s dad?? 

and everyone also wants to know WHERE IS THEA: and I think we’ll definitely get answers to that as well, when we dig further in to Roy’s storyline.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR WHERE THIS IS GOING, YALL. I still have my fears. I still have many lingering questions. BUT I HAVE FAITH IN THE PLAN!

Hi I’m new to the timeless fandom and I have read a few of your fics but I would love to read more! Would you by chance have a master list?

Ahaha. Well. First of all, welcome! Always love it when new fans find the show. 

Second…sort of? Almost everything I’ve written is cross-posted to my ao3 here. The only things not there are a few super short (like 300-600 words) speculation fics that I wrote at the beginning of the season and some other random shorts, which are only posted here on tumblr. But for reference:

The first thing I ever wrote for Timeless was leave everything behind (except yourself) which was the first of what turned into my enemies of time series and from that point on was basically an excuse to write a lot of Emotions and a lot of Garcy smut (which is not something I wrote hardly any of before Timeless, but there weren’t a whole lot of us writing Garcy at the time so…needs must). 

After that came the all the ashes in my wake series because I love reading/writing character introspection and desperately needed Flynn’s POV of the Great Garbage Date in 1x11 and then later, 1x16, and somewhere along the way I started throwing in flashbacks to Flynn and Lorena because look, the man loves his wife a whole lot and we know nothing about her and that’s a crime imo. So I wrote them backstory and now feel very protective of Lorena Flynn as a character. 

a better fate is my Garcy kidfic series, starting with take a breath (dive in) which deals with Flynn and his unadulterated panic feelings about being a father again when Lucy unexpectedly gets pregnant (in the future, post-RH).  

Woe & Wisdom started as a tumblr prompt for “some little Garcy thing where they meet Jane Austen” and turned into almost 11k of shameless overuse of Persuasion parallels and other metaphors and I adore every word of it. 

(take me) back to the start is my “How Flynn gets the journal” spec-fic and I feel…very vindicated after that 2x08 conversation, let me tell you.  

And then…that’s around the point at which I started shipping the hell out of Garcyatt as an ot3 and wrote sharp as a knife (you fit like a glove) which is…yeah, definitely the most explicit thing I had written to that point. I wrote a non-explicit companion over the summer as part of the Timeless Fanfic Prompts Contest called it’s a paradise (it’s a war zone). Also on the Garcyatt train there is my sex pollen (but not really) fic lose your head (give in) and the unknown and static strange an established-relationship Garcyatt short where Lucy and Flynn come back from a mission to find out Wyatt is Rittenhouse. 

Around the same time, I started writing Flogan fic for Science and Reasons. Mainly living on anaesthetic and warmth in the cold corners, but more recently Revelations was a pretty big one, all Wyatt introspection while he worked through his bi crisis and some other toxic masculinity stuff.  

heaven’s light is the fic I wrote for the 2017 Timeless Big Bang. Mostly Flynn/Lorena with some implied future Garcyatt. Other AUs are ex gratia (no time travel, secret agents AU, inspired by Goran’s role in Crossing Lines) and From This Valley (the farm AU I’m writing for @lucys-preston because she’s a menace). And then there’s (push me) out to sea, my Timeless/Black Sails crossover fic for @qqueenofhades because there were needs. 

I did a LOT of random fills for the TFPC, most of which were Garcy, to the surprise of no one. For ones that haven’t already been linked: the heart stays silent, figure of my dreams, a little faith, Absence, and My heart ran so to thee. 

a matter of when is my one and only Riya fic (although I keep meaning to write more for them and have started others, just…not…finished…because they’re pure and good and everything). 

Power & Control and Disarm were the two episode-related fics I wrote this season (inspired by sneak peeks for 2x04 and 2x06 respectively). And then my last recent fic is between the shadow and the soul, another Garcy future speculation/get-together fic. That should be about everything. 

If you don’t read on ao3, I apologize because my tagging was super inconsistent when I started posting fic on tumblr. That said, I think if you search for the tags “garcy ff” “timeless ff” and “my fic” on my blog you should be able to find everything. I think. I hope. Spec: Nicole’s ‘Death’ & Subverting BYG

Hear me out. Two reasons why I love the speculation out there that Nicole will possibly die and be resurrected this season: 

It would be a stellar continuation of Wynonna Earp’s subversion of the Bury Your Gays trope, which the show began in 1x13 with Nicole surviving a gun shot by wearing a bullet proof vest

It would be another homage to Buffy the Vampire Slayer but with a rectifying twist

It’s no secret that BtVS helped inspire Wynonna Earp, and many fans and television reviewers have repeatedly noted the connection between the two shows. We’ve already seen one big nod to Buffy in WE 2x08 where  Wynonna “dies” for a few seconds and is resuscitated, leading to Bobo’s return from hell. That parallels Buffy’s “death” in BtVS 1x12 for a few seconds before being resuscitated, leading to the activation of the next slayer.

I watched Buffy live during its run, and one storyline that wrecked me when I was younger was Willow and Tara’s split in S6 over, interestingly enough, trust, control, and betrayal issues. Then, as many of you know, right after they reconciled, Tara was killed, leading Willow to go full-on Dark Willow.

So right now in Wynonna Earp, we have Waverly and Nicole still in a bad spot over - wait for it - trust, control, and betrayal issues. We know that Nicole is in danger thanks to Widow Mercedes and that, per Syfy’s site, Waverly will have to choose between saving Wynonna or Nicole. There have also been two instances of Waverly and Wynonna saying in previous episodes that Waverly “would die” if something happened to Nicole.

Furthermore, Emily Andras jokingly tweeted last week about having to avoid fire from fan reaction after 2x09 and 2x10. (She’s also joked several times on twitter about writing out Kat/Nicole.) So what could possibly incense fans even more after 2x09 than Nicole’s death? lol

If Nicole does die (maybe Mercedes bites her? Idk), I’m betting that Waverly’s grief will cause her to go full on “Dark Willow.” Not necessarily in an evil sense, but I think Nicole’s death would trigger Waverly’s supernatural side, whether she’s half-revenant, half-angel, half-something else. 

The big twist, of course, would be that Nicole doesn’t stay dead for long and is resurrected, either by Baron Samedi (thank you Purgatory Case Files), Mattie the Blacksmith (aka the “white witch healer whore” lol), or some other unknown force.

So in one fell swoop, Wynonna Earp would again pay homage to Buffy while continuing to subvert the BYG trope. At least I hope!
