Points of interest about Adeline
Alright I promised I will not do more of 'points of interests' but someone wanted to hear more of these so here goes!
● Adeline is striped with more belts than any other patient! Here is illustrated comparison of the fact:
The (dead) patient we pick Blacksky Eye from has same fashion of belts. And yes, as you can see, the ones also having five lines of belts are more 'rabid' patients that can protrude sharp limbs from their backs for an attack. Seems like Adeline, indeed, was a more 'leveled' patient before she died + appeared in Nightmare.
● The fact that Adeline also had to be striped to the chair is very telling too! Perhaps she is not always as sweet as when we met her, and there was a reason to restrict her so much. Maybe her hunger for more Insight would sometimes take dangerous, violent form?
● Adeline has a bandana added to her attire! It is not a feature for other patients, and seems to signify her special status as a Blood Saint!
UPDATE 02/25/24: Adeline DOES have a cravat, here is a better look at it thanks to @beesmygod:
● Adeline is interesting in terms of not being scared of whatever she is perceiving - in fact, she yearns for it! Other patients with dialogue lines seem to be scared of the 'sea' they are perceiving (scared of 'drowing') or just neutrally commenting. It is implied that something horrible is lurking in the 'sea' (being wrath of Kos towards humanity of From's reoccuring theme of the sea that has been 'dirtied' + 'dregs of humanity') which makes it interesting for considering Adeline's personality as to why this doesn't scare her.
● In addition to previous one, the most likely reason is her tremendous self-esteem issues and embracing "worthlessness" of hersels as a human being in the face of divine.
(Using excerpts from Last Protagonist's retranslation doc ( x ) just in case as to not miss any nuances)
● Adeline's blood is said to be one of the exceptional cases! It turned out particularly good compared to... statistical average I guess? English localization done us dirty once again having used word "groomed" when in original script the word was "preparing" or "altering"; my lucky guess is bone marrow altering surgery to ensure body producing a special blood but can't say for sure. Either way there is nothing from what I know that could explain why Adeline's blood turned out particular, could have been a coinsidence or could have been a loose end about her heritage/story/qualities! For comparison between Adeline and a regular Blood Saint (Adella) :
● She uses 'lady' (or 'sama' in Japanese, you might be familiar with the term as display of great respect) refering to Maria, even when thinking she's talking directly to her (when we enter her room), which shows... well, great respect for Maria from her side as well. Whatever was going on between the two, it seems like subordination has not been broken, from Adeline's side at least. Whether it is Adeline's self-esteem issues, Maria holding distance trying to not get too close having had blood on her hands or something else is left up to imagination.
● She did volunteer to be a Blood Saint, and highlights that she is happy to be one when we take her blood for another time. Seems like it holds a very big value for her to be useful for people - this blood heals, after all!
● It is also interesting that she sorta went against the opinion of a person she sorta respects a lot (Maria). We can't say whether Maria knew the true nature/risks of newly discovered "blood healing" and never told Adeline, or she simply was unhappy seeing Adeline sacrifice her health for hunters (and we know she ended up resenting the hunt as a concept) - nor we can say whether Adeline knows WHY Maria doesn't approve of her choice to be a Blood Saint or not. It is just materials laying around ready to be used for elaborate backstory! I'd personally say Adeline should know enough because someone so respectable disapproving of a "good concept" makes no sense - unless they give a good reason why they hate it, but Adeline was still willing to risk her health/life for the potential progress, but one way or another this tiny detail is worth pointing out!
● Once again, lost in translation! Adeline refers to the prospect of being reborn when she begs for one final Brain Fluid!
It can also give a faint hope that she is reborn somewhere in a happier place rather than dead (well double dead since it is a Nightmare).
● Adeline's right arm is heavily bruised, probably from the times of other people taking blood from her as a Blood Saint.
● Needless to add but let's go the full way, her right arm is probably the biggest debunk to the 'blood the Blood Saints give is menstrual'. The suringe is right here!
● She refers to the Balcony Key as お守り (omamori), meaning lucky charm/amulet/talisman. Seems like she, indeed, never used it for the intended purpose and... well, for some reason just thought Maria gave it to her for a good luck. She might as well have never visited the balcony, on her own volition at least. Perhaps she understood what Maria wanted her to do even less so than what we usually think!
● Her skin is not just 'pale', it is completely demelanized + final stage of the Research Hall patient is Living Failures who are just arcane blue aliens in color. Basically her skin could have been any shade for all we know, could have had freckles for all we know, don't hesitate.
● Adeline envisioning Milkweed rune might mean she knows runes language! Caryll is said to have deciphered inhuman sounds, and Ludwig envisioned his Guidance on his own yet Guidance is still called a Caryll rune - so seems like Caryll invented an "alphabet" of inhuman sounds rather than each individual rune! Adeline is able to hear a sound of a Great One and 'see' it as a rune. Might be just a standart skill staff of Healing Church must have though because, again, Ludwig knew runes language too.
● We enter the hard to comprehend territory! The very last Brain Fluid we give to Adeline is her own; we "kill" her as a head, and then return to her with it! Perhaps the act of consuming Brain Fluid has more (or the only) effect than producing one's own?
● Alright, harder moment, bear with me:
It is hard to get right, and translators actually did well here but yes the last Brain Fluid (gotten FROM Adeline) suggests understanding worth of something just after you lose it; and the next thing she refers to is her 'no longer being able to be saved'! It gives me a big impression of her only realizing the value of her lost humanity only after she went into "evolution" too far to return to it. For all we know, only at the very brink of her 'ascension' Adeline knows what she meant (or rather used to mean) but now it is too late to turn back, so she is even more desperate for ascension than ever. Either way, the progression of her questline might be more depressing than what meets the eye. Realizing what you lost only after losing it. Very abridged version of hubris of humanity.
● This bit is saved in localization ('Perhaps you could help me all the same?') but, yeah, Maria used to give her Brain Fluid too.
● Balcony that Maria gives Adeline the key to leads to lumenflowers that symbolize reach for the stars for salvation - there are many vague hints for that across the lore that you probably know of by now. 'Stars' within lore mean both Ebrietas and the 'Moon' behind her domain, and what Choir eventually pursuied; so perhaps Maria knew more about nature of Great Ones and ascension than what meets the eye, and urged Adeline to seek a 'safer' option. Nonverbally - it seems like she silently handed Adeline the key hoping she'd understand the hint! It is just an added possibility that Adeline was walking the 'dark' road. Micolash would've been proud
● It refers more to all patients than just to her, but we can't be sure what her head IS as it is covered with fabric!
Maybe very bloated head like Brainsuckers since patients crave Brain Fluid? Maybe something akin to Gardens of Eyes since heavily striped patients protrude lumbls not unlike their from their backs? Maybe something else entirely? But yeah. It 'wobbles' we can know this much.
● Adeline's Japanese original dialogue sounds rather young and impulsive/naive ( x ), but English translation for one picked an older-sounding and 'weirder' voice tone! In all honesty though, English VAs' work is top notch and I prefer it as voice claims in my head, but I am leaving this here just in case if you want a more true-to-intended character impression!
● We enter her room silently but nonetheless her instant reaction is 'Are you Maria', implying Maria was the one to visit her more often - often enough for her to default to it. Moreover, seems like it was a habit for Maria to enter silently.

My Other Stardew Valley OCs!
I've had these OCs for a while, but I've finally decided to share them! They exist in a separate universe to Fawn and aren't related to her story at all.
Mel Josephine Matthews
Mel is the oldest of the three. She's the most stoic, responsible, and strong both physically and emotionally. Mel can get into fights with her younger sister Sydney, who is a stark difference to her. She expects Syd to be more responsible than she is and will push her too far sometimes, but she has her heart in the right place. Mel enjoys art of all kinds, but is partial to poetry and painting, something she used to practice in her younger years.
Mel is twenty-eight years old as of the start of her story. She is 180 cm (5'10"). She is friends with Elliott, Maru, Leah, and Shane (though her relationship with Shane started out as enemies). Her main skills are farming and fishing.

Sydney Locke Matthews
The rambunctious middle sister, Sydney--or Syd, as she prefers to be called--is a firecracker of energy. She's always looking for something to do, and will often throw herself down into the mines in search of adventure. Still, she's not very responsible, having been fired from her only job; a job she struggled to get. And she's a terrible farmer, but she is the most loyal and ready-to-go sister of the bunch.
Syd is twenty-five years old as of the start of her story. She is 157 cm (5'1") tall. She is friends with Sam, Sebastian, Abigail, and Harvey. Her main skills are mining and combat.

Adeline Iniya Matthews
Adeline is the youngest of the three sisters and is not biologically related to them, having been adopted. Her past is shrouded in a sense of mystery, but she doesn't pay it much mind. Adeline is the sweetest of the girls, having also perfected her customer service smile over the years from her work. She's a lover of flowers and bees, spending most of her work on the farm producing bouquets and honey.
Adeline is twenty-two years old as of the start if her story. She is 167 cm (5'5") tall. She is friends with Alex, Haley, Emily, and Penny. Her main skills are farming and foraging.
(Made using this portrait creator.)
Main Plot
The girls' story starts with them moving tot he valley. Mel was the one who inherited the farm from her grandfather, but that was because at the time there was only her and Sydney, and her grandfather trusted her more with the property.
At the time of moving, Mel has just quit her job as a customer billing attendant at Joja Corp. Her sister Sydney has been living with her for a few months after being fired from her job at a fast food place and having no way of paying her rent. Mel, who can barely afford to take care of herself, reluctantly decides to take up on her grandfather's offer.
Adeline, however, did not originally plan on joining them. Only after one of her workplaces was caught in a massive fire, leaving her with not enough money to pay off her rent and university/college debt, does she decide to move. She's easily the most annoyed about the move, having been working towards getting a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Even after moving, she still has to pay off her debt, leaving her even more annoyed.
That's the main gist of the beginning of the story, but I have more planned. At some point Sydney and Adeline get their own small houses on the property to give some distance and privacy between them all. They have the basic farm, but sort of haphazardly split it between them all.
