a/n: this is a little continuation to day 5 with Pero (which I linked) and I used one of the bonus ones this time! Again, this is the vague past lol. Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to those that celebrate and have a nice Sunday to everyone!

With William, Charlotte, and your two nieces Joan and Mary visiting for Christmas, it was sure to be an exciting time and a full house. Luckily the girls were little enough to find sleeping on the floor by the fire exciting, and Ana was sleeping through the night so when the girls asked for the baby to stay with them, you put her crib out in that room. Just in case she did wake up, you and Pero decided to stay on the ground level and have William and Charlotte stay in your room upstairs.

This also meant that you didn’t have to clear out what you typically only used as your storage room and extra bed to have sex in while the baby was napping upstairs. Now that she would be in the living room, you were excited that you’d also be able to be intimate at night, letting a quiet cuddle turn into loving, completely satisfying sex instead of the quickies you were used to.

Three days into their visit and you were debating whether to just ask them to stay forever. It was so nice to get help with the baby and have time to yourselves and spend more time with your nieces and their parents alike. You’d just have to add on another big room for the girls and you’d be golden.

But that was something to daydream about later, because now it was Christmas Day and all the girls wanted (other than the chocolate and oranges and homemade dolls they had already received), was to go out and play in the snow. And all Charlotte wanted was a nap, so you, Pero, and William went outside with Joan and Mary while Charlotte and Ana were asleep inside.

Joan and Mary, six and five, respectively, had neighbors with kids just a little bit older and therefore had been taught all the best things to do in the snow. Snowmen, snowball fights, of course, were popular, but the girls’ favorites were snow angels. Possibly because it meant less work and not being pelted by older children. As such, it is what they insisted all five of you do, over and over again, until you had an absolutely perfect line from tallest to shortest.

They also asked you, specifically, to help them write the names in the snow underneath because you were sure to have prettier writing than Papa or Tío.

Before you realized what time it was, Charlotte was calling you in for tea and soon after everyone was asleep who had been in the snow, worn out from all the fun.

You were on the loveseat with Pero, a bit squished and loving it, and woke up before the others. Nudging him awake carefully, you whispered to him, “Do you think they would move in?”

Pero chuckled and you shook your head, “I’m serious.”

“I know you are, querida,” he replied lowly, and even though it was just to keep quiet, you still got a little shiver from his voice. “However, William just told me that it is us that should move to them because they already have enough rooms.”

You gasped, loudly, and then slapped your hand over your mouth. After you took a calming deep breath in, you leaned in close and kissed his cheek before asking, “But do you want to, honey?”

He kissed you back, on the lips, and nodded, “I am happy wherever you are, but I will admit I am happier with the rest of our family as well.”

“Me too, Pero, me too.”

biography.

Eduardo has been chatty since he was born. He learned to speak quickly and never quite stopped much to his parent’s consternation. Did he have important things to say? Not really. But in a family where he was the third sibling and second brother, it seemed important for there to be someone who could relate to the younger siblings and their smaller woes. Not everything had to be as serious as Francisco might claim. Since he does not know he is his parent’s only true born son, he never felt quite the same call to responsibility and seriousness the older siblings did. Ana was always his favorite, he was unfortunately easily weakened by big puppy eyes and enjoyed feeling like he really mattered to someone.

He was somewhat average in his studies, but he was pretty good at judging professional competence and finding good advisors with the right expertise. Thus, his parents appointed him Grand Duke of the Guyana region which contains the valuable oil reserves found in the Orcino Belt in the state of Delta Amacuro as well as its valuable port cities. Though the position was powerful, he has been subservient in his role as a supporter of his brother, never even considering the possibility of taking on more power.

The fact that his first true love and fiancee was a school teacher only kept him firmly entrenched in the family dynamics. He met her during a public tour, at an event organized for his investment in baseball facilities for local schools, and fell head over heels immediately. The fairytale was easy to sell to the public because it was real, and Maria had been charmingly good-natured. Unfortunately, their love was not meant to last, and only a few months after their engagement she broke it off, unable to handle the pressure that came with royal life.

Something in Eduardo changed after losing his love, and the tragedy after losing more of his family. He redirected his energy into supporting his family even better, remaining stalwart in his affection and loyalty to Ana during her own struggles. He couldn’t simply let another person he loved go without a fight. Six years later, to support his family, he agreed to a political match with [princess/duchess of TBD latin american country] -- he is good at being family, but not as focused on being a husband. Still, in the past couple years, he has come to love her in his own way. He does not realize that his wife doesn’t mind because she has greater ambitions for them: the Venezuelan throne.

Eduardo joins the program now because he is concerned for Ana and to share the exciting (and nerve-wracking) news that he is going to be a father!
