You know what, you (i.e. me) absolutely can be a deancoded deangirl, and it makes perfect sense too. Dean, especially in early seasons, tries to do “what Dad would do,” and during moments of distress and self-hate, references these ideals of his Dad that he can’t attain, and even once he stops trying to emulate his Dad, he’s always lamenting how he’s not as smart as Sam, or not as patient as Lisa, not as [adjective] as [anyone but himself].

Dean wants to be anyone other than himself, a lot of the time. So as someone who is deancoded, wanting to BE dean, is a very deancoded thing to feel. Bc obviously I’m NOT Dean. I’m just deancoded.

sometimes being a jackgirl is funny because you get to see the rest of the fandom collectively howl and scream and shit itself over things you’ve had to put up with since s13 started airing. fandom misinterpretation and mischaracterization, poor show writing, episodes where they just don’t exist bc the plot doesn’t need it, etc. or the amount of posts I see like “sam isn’t boring dean isn’t abusive or macho cas isn’t a sensitive precious wallflower” — it all just make me laugh a little bit. genuinely I don’t think y’all could survive a single day as a jackgirl bc when I tell you that I am starving.

I am living off of whale fall and adapting to my environment like a tardigrade. I got zero-to-terrible official merch of my guy, I got quite possibly the worst mischaracterization ever perpetually embedded into the fandom’s mind as actual canon , which in turn means I only got scraps and crumbs of good content to engage with.

and speaking of content to engage with, I also absolutely love (/s) how jackgirls and even just jack as a character are like never included in anything within the fandom, in polls or quizzes or fandom discussions or fanart that isnt just woobified clutch purse jack or like anything ever because it’s all about dean and cas and sometimes sam if you’re lucky and that’s it. no dice for anyone else.
