left and right! i always have a hell of a time making things symmetrical, so my default (like most artists tbh) is to make them face one way or the other.

honestly varies depending on the day/mood/current fandom fixation. for now i'll say it's either chibi narry doodles or gaster, but that's something that will proooobably change if/when we shift gears.

i really enjoy traditional art (specifically watercolor). but! digital art is more easily accessible + i can explore a bunch of ideas all at once and maybe on the same canvas. so i guess for now i'll say digital, even tho watercolor will always be a soothing process ;;

🌈: do you use more warm or cold colors? (the emoji is different but this is the closest i could get!)

no surprises here, but warm! i tend to really like warm colors bc it lends itself to lighting better, but i've been meaning to experiment for a while once i get the chance. one day i'll conquer other color schemes... one day.

✏️ Do you prefer traditional art or digital to relax?    Digital was my to go from the very beginning of my art path hfhjfh, as soon as I decided that I want to get more serious with art I got my first art tablet which was like…. 9 or so years ago hfhjfgj I've grown very comfortable and enjoy the sensation of drawing on screen, which a lot of irl art acquaintances don't get, because they enjoy the feeling of paper and traditional materials way more

☕️ Do you do warmup sketches before drawing? (Bonus: do you have any to share?) I'm not really warming up, if I need to then I'll start with doing flat colors on endless wips I have jfghffh

For several hours, the two of you stay there until you’re finished drawing as he uses this time to complete the novel he’s been meaning to get to the end of. 🎶 As much as Ruki roots for the success of your music, he also not-so secretly delights in the fact that you perform your songs for him when no one else is there to listen. More often than not, he serves as your private audience, supplying you with more detailed than anticipated feedback on how intricately layered the instruments sounded to how an underlying beat and rhythm united the entire song.

🎨 One caveat to consider with drawing is that the Vampire will reprimand you for not gaining some new, fresh perspective every now and then in hopes that moments of reprieve away from the pencil, the illustration, and everything an artist would need—from lifting your gaze of the sheer, blank whiteness in your hands. Artists tend to get so engrossed into their work the same way avid readers do books, yet even so Ruki knows when enough is enough. If you continue to draw when he specifically ordered you not to, then prepare to be put to sleep by a sudden loss of blood due to his fangs puncturing your skin, and wake up to a canvas covered in red splatters from how he ravished you into spending time with him for once instead.

Both are very enjoyable in their own ways! I prefer digital more tho, because the feeling of a pen on the tablet feels very smooth and it really helps me to calm down uwu

the feeling of pencil on paper is also enjoyable, but it requires a certain mood to enjoy

📚 How many layers do you typically use?

The most common amount would be around 25 on a drawing with one single character, it goes up the more details and characters there is tho-

I shamelessly abuse the digital part of the process and once had a file with over 200 layers and sworn to have a better management over them in the future sjdhjfkd
