As the concept generally allows locals to hear music free of charge, Rousteing decided his fashion show-cum-festival should likewise be open to the public. So he offered over 1,500 free tickets to the spectacle (distributed via lottery) and partnered with the AIDS charity organization (Red) – co-founded in 2006 by U2 front man and activist Bono and Bobby Shriver – with proceeds from food, drinks, and limited-edition Balmain Festival merchandise sold at the fest benefiting the cause. “I’ve met with Bono several times to discuss different ways fashion can help; this is what the night is about, helping the world to change,” Rousteing told The Hollywood Reporter.
The men’s fashion show (peppered with some ladies’ resort looks) opened with a series of formal tailored white styles perfect for the red carpet, followed by more of Rousteing’s over-the-top mirrored sequin fare. Shoulders were noticeably larger and silhouettes were fuller, with plenty of ease. The mix included a tuxedo jacket paired with silver Mylar-esque pants, iridescent finishes such as clear plastic on trenches and jackets, and ‘80s-style oversized double-breasted jackets with fitted waistbands.
For daytime, faded denim was mixed with a sherbet palette, which had an L.A.-slash-Miami Vice feel. Varsity jackets and quilted bombers in pastel satins were followed by more formal wear in the same fabric. The ladies co-opted some of the shapes with oversized blazer dresses and tux-inspired jumpsuits. And there were plenty of rock star-worthy spangled jackets. A black-and-white series closed the show with a dizzying array of stripes, polka dots and solids.
The designer enlisted some of his VIP friends, such as actors Darren Criss and Charlie Puth, to help with the after-party. Criss was instrumental in making the event come together by sharing tips of the trade garnered by his own Elsie Fest in New York City, created in 2015 to highlight music from the stage and screen as a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
“Olivier and I met in Doha and he said he wanted to stage a mini rock show during his next collection,” Criss told THR. When Rousteing told him he wanted a cool band to play pop and rock songs, Criss’s band Computer Games fit the bill. “Whatever you want, I got you,” Criss said.
Following the runway show, Computer Games performed a line-up of rock-slash-Glee standards such as Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now”, “Bad Reputation” and “Satisfaction”; Criss was joined at the piano by Rousteing for the iconic French song by Joe Dassin, “Les Champs Elysées.” His set wrapped with Criss’s popular rendition of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream.” British musician Rory Charles Graham (known as Rag ‘n’ Bone Man) and the British band Years and Years also performed.

River Island Black Pride 'love not labels' T-shirt: £18. Unfortanely, River Island don`t do many rainbow themed clothes or pride clothes. But they have 3 pride t-shirts with slogans that support pride. So love does win in the end.
ASOS Help Refugees Choose Love organic cotton rainbow print t-shirt: £19. What is more important then love? Help what you are passionate about and take a stand.
ASOS Elsie & Fred crop top in sequin stripe: £30. Elsie and Fred are killing the game at a minute. A new upcoming brand who are only now getting the credit they deserve, they specialise in festival gear. If you take a visit to their website you will find yourself amongst the Brazilian carnival despite being behind your computer in Southampton. This also comes in a co-ord, look out for the shorts.
New Look Rainbow Stripe Knitted Vest: £5. A cheaper version of the Topshop one, this one gives off my more vibrant colours pleasing to the eye. Hurry though while stocks last.

The choice is yours, whichever one you pick you know you are standing up for yourself and letting other people know you won`t be beaten
Boohoo Rainbow Stripe Bandeau: £8. A long hot summer day and you wanna be enjoying yourself rather than sweltering in the heat. People either love or hate bandeau's and I think they are rather for the confident people, but that doesn`t mean anyone at pride will be judging you.
Boohoo Rainbow Woven Shirred Bardot Crop: £14. Boohoo have done a whole range based on Pride. It mostly consists of pieces in a rainbow pattern from pants, to tops, to skirts, to dresses to anything. You will find most of it in the following posts. Plenty to choose from!
Topshop PETITE Rainbow Striped Camisole Top: £14. Dunno why but this is giving me Rihanna vibes and it`s not the model. Pair it with some simple high waisted jeans and converse and your ready to get your groove on.

Somewhere Beyond the Sea

Paige Browning was excited.
It had been a long week on the cruise for her. She had finally gotten through her business with Trent, signing the divorce papers to annul their “marriage.” Why didn’t I learn Greek from Leo while I was dating him? She wondered, kicking herself for not being suspicious of her ex-fiancée.
Then there was dumping Leo and William. Both of them were understanding about her decision to decide to tie the knot with Dean. Leo, as graceful as ever, gave her a parting gift – honorary Cordonian citizenship for both herself and her bartender fiancée – so that Paige could see him again. William had the same thought of giving her a parting gift, but his was a bit more poetic in her eyes: a self-care package. He knew how busy she was with her family, and he and Leo wanted nothing but the best for their friend because she would have done the same for them.
She appreciated them both deeply.
Finally, there was dealing with both the wedding she was preparing for and helping her family as the summer started its last month. She was helping Jess prepare for life as a mother, making sure that Nicole was still tending to her list of things their grandmother wanted her to do for her portion of the inheritance, checking in with Adam and Elena, and making sure her aunt Mallory was out of the picture while trying to keep Violet out of her grasp.
If all went well, all five of them would get their inheritance, and Aunt Mallory wouldn’t be getting a cent.
Dressed in light beachwear, Paige made her way barefoot across the sands of one of the beautiful local beaches in Cordonia. She had only broken up with Leo mere hours before this trek, and she was about to have a nice sunset picnic with Dean before nightfall.
Up on a high, flat boulder that looked very much like a plateau from where Paige was standing, Dean was sitting on a quilt that his sister made for him. He held a thermos in his hand, a matching thermos by his side as well as a picnic basket and a cooler.
Paige slowly made her way up the side of the rock with the ladder that Dean had left there for her to climb up easily, moving her braid behind her when she reached the top. “You’re making me work for my meal, aren’t you?”
Dean turned to face her and laughed. “If I was making you work for your dinner, I wouldn’t have put the ladder there.”
“Touché, my love.” Paige positioned herself comfortably next to him before kissing him sweetly. “What drink is in the thermoses for tonight’s outing?”
“Coffee with Irish cream. Figured you might need it after breaking up with that lovely prince of yours.”
Paige smiled and rolled her eyes. “He was actually very understanding about it. He even made us honorary Cordonian citizens, so there aren’t any hard feelings.”
Dean opened his thermos and held it out for them to toast. “To Leo.”
“To Leo.” Paige knocked her thermos against his, and they both took a swig of the smooth drinks in their covered cups.
A picture fell out of Dean’s denim pocket after he set his thermos back down, and his fiancée immediately noticed it. He didn’t seem to notice it fall, however. As he went through the basket, she reached for it.
Once she got her hands on it, she quietly looked at the slightly faded photograph that was somewhat flapping in the ocean breeze. She recognized Elsie, Dean’s younger sister, as she stood next to Dean in the foreground photo. The other person in the picture was not familiar to Paige, as were most of the people that were in the blurry background.
“So…” Paige began to break their silence, “what’s the story behind this picture?”
Dean looked over and his eyes widened a bit. “Oh God, sorry, I didn’t realize that picture fell out of my pocket.”
“It’s okay, but now I’m curious.” She handed the picture back to him, waiting patiently for him to recount a story she was sure was coming.
“Well, this is a photo from our family reunion that we had at about this time last year. You remember my sister Elsie, I’m sure.”
Paige nodded and smiled at him. “Who’s the boy beside you?”
Dean smiled, his face lit up with nostalgia. “That’s my younger cousin, Wes. He lives in New York City. His brother got put into jail… so we’ve been paying for his trailer since then. I miss him.”
“I’ll have to meet him one day.”
The bartender kissed Paige’s cheek. “One day, we will.” He looked out at the sunset for a moment as he tucked the picture back into his pocket. “We should eat before the food gets too cold.”
Paige nodded in agreement as she held up her thermos for a toast. “To a new chapter in our lives – one beyond the borders of the sea.”
Dean grinned as they clinked cups again. “To a new chapter.” He took out a few homemade submarine sandwiches. “Now, dig in!”

Spring Capsule Wardrobe Ideas
I’ve been working on shopping for (with lots of returning—haha!) and figuring out my spring AND summer capsule. I decided to try doing a two season capsule because I always get really excited about shopping for spring, but then summer kind of just blends in to it (for me). So I figured I may as well just do a bigger shop now and then wear the clothes for longer.
The goals for a capsule wardrobe can be customized to your lifestyle. For me, the main purpose of this challenge is to shop for a season (in this case, two seasons) and then take a break from shopping. It does help me save money and create less waste, but my main goal is to work towards less TIME spent shopping. Shopping online is so much fun, but it can also be a huge waste of time when done all the time. So learning to take extended breaks from online shopping has been really good for me!
The other thing I would like to improve this season is the comfort of my wardrobe. Being a new mom, I am now seeing the practical concerns that commenters always pointed out to me in the past. For example, I’ll show you below the CUTEST purse that is a nightmare for my new mom lifestyle. I am learning that while I do want to have my own style and feel confident in what I wear, my new main priority is definitely comfort. I want more clothing that is easy in every possible way—easy fits, easy to take care of, easy to move around in while trying to get my little gal into her carseat … just all around easy!
Alright … well, let’s move on to the fun part! Shopping IDEAS for spring and summer.
Dresses.
I still feel like dresses will play a huge part in my wardrobe … that is not changing anytime soon! This year, I am gravitating toward dresses that have fun prints that are either short or mid-length. I got several dresses from Rylee + Cru (with matching mini versions for Nova), including this one. Jumpsuits.
I am SO on board for the jumpsuit trend. I have several from Big Bud Press (when I like something, I tend to get it in a lot of colors). The other thing I am loving is matching sets!Links: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 (similar) / 10Shoes.
I am loving the current trends in shoes. The styles are really flattering and wearable right now. I am loving a mini heel. In years past, I was big on platforms, but I am trying to branch out to new styles and having a lot of fun trying out new things right now. Tops.
Tops are one of the categories I struggle with more when shopping. I tend to wear my favorites over and over, but have a difficult time finding a lot of options that are flattering and can be mixed and matched. Skirts.
I tend to wear my skirts over and over. They make for quick, easy outfits that still feel like I’m trying (as opposed to yoga pants—haha). I always have a couple Madewell skirts in my closet and a few vintage ones for fun.

Jeans and pants are more challenging to shop for. For me, it’s all about the fit. If the fit isn’t perfect, I won’t wear them, and so I try to be extremely picky and return anything that’s not both comfortable and flattering. That said, I am loving the variety of denim and pants styles that are available this year. Shorts were actually kind of easy for me this year because I did what I used to do in elementary school and I turned three pairs of jeans into shorts for the new season … just chopped them off! Spring + Summer Outerwear.
This is an important category for me since as soon as it becomes the tiniest bit warm every restaurant begins to BLAST the AC. I have to remember to bring sweaters with me everywhere I go (and now one for Nova, too). The other thing I love in this category is a good denim jacket. I wear mine all the time, year round. My denim jacket from Madewell is probably the most worn item in my whole closet! I actually have it in two sizes depending on if I want a tight fit or a cozy fit.

Bags.
I looooooove bags. This is, by far, my favorite section to shop. I have to cut myself off at a certain point … haha. But since I wear very minimal jewelry and accessories, I do feel like my bags (and sunnies) are my main statement pieces. Jewelry.

Fashion Inspiration: Westworld
Because even if you're living in a pre-programmed loop, your outfits don't have to be boring.

After more than a year, the wait is over - Season 2 of HBO's critically acclaimed series Westworld is airing in just 8 days. In order to prepare for ten more episodes of grunge piano covers, existential soul-searching, and edge-of-your-seat plot twists, this article will revisit the major players of Season 1. (So, warning, there will be mild spoilers.)
For those of you not in the know, Westworld is about a futuristic theme park of the same name. In this park, visitors are transported into a faithful recreation of the Wild West - from the frontier town of Sweetwater, out to sprawling prairies and staggering canyons. Visitors are free to act however they like - because instead of human actors, the park is populated by super-realistic robotic "hosts," who behave realistically in repetitive loops, except that they cannot harm a living creature. Things start to change when a new software update is launched, causing the hosts to act out in dangerous and unpredictable ways. 
Have you ever questioned the nature of your reality? If so, Westworld is the show for you.  
Today we're taking some fashion inspiration from Westworld in honor of the Season 2 premiere. Here are some Westworld outfits, with modern, fashion-approved takes on the cast's classic Western wear:
There's a Path for Everyone

A blue slip dress and white sneakers create a modern version of the damsel in distress.

The main character of Westworld is Dolores Abernathy, a host who lives as a rancher's daughter. Dolores loves painting and the cowboy Teddy, but leaves her loop when her parents are murdered by a gang of bank robbers. She then begins to explore more of the park, as well as her own abilities.  
In this look, a blue maxi dress and a brown belt mimic Dolores's dress. A white shirt and white sneakers provide warmth and practicality (which you might need if you want to carry out a heist with a strange man). Pull your hair back with a clip reminiscent of the maze through which Dolores travels, and add some peachy-pink blush for a girlish look that can take you from an art class, to a date, and even on an unexpected day trip.  
Black Hat or White?

Whether you're good or bad, a pair of boyfriend jeans can create an effortlessly rugged outfit.

When arriving at Westworld, visitors have a choice - they can take a white hat, symbolizing that they want to be a law-abiding citizen, or they can take a black hat and act on their wildest desires. Dolores goes on a journey with white-hatted William and black-hatted Logan, who have very different ideas about what they want to accomplish while in the park.
This look is a twofer, showing that the difference between good and evil is all about small choices. A pair of boyfriend jeans creates an air of comfort and rustic flair; this cropped pair is the perfect length to showcase a great pair of shoes. Emulate our hero with a ruffled white tee, a blue scarf, taupe lipstick, and a pair of tan Chelsea boots; or dress like our villain with a distressed black tee, a wide textured belt, vampy red lipstick, and a pair of studded boots. Good or bad, these outfits will give you all the confidence you need to survive a trip to Westworld.  
It Doesn't Look Like Anything to Me

Whether you're working in the office or out in the field, a minimalist outfit can keep you looking cool.

Key to the success of the park are the staff - especially Bernard and Elsie, who write and maintain the code that runs the hosts. These no-nonsense workers have an incredibly challenging job - figuring out how to make the hosts look and act just like you and I, while ensuring that they behave exactly as they're supposed to for the safety of the guests. When hosts start to act out of their loops, Bernard and Elsie have to work under uncertain circumstances, even going out into the park to find out what's going on.  
Channel Elsie's utilitarian look with a chambray shirt and black straight-leg jeans. Add a collarless blazer for a bit of formality, and a pair of high-top sneakers for a creative twist. A compass necklace is a reminder not to get too lost in the wilderness of the park, and hair gel keeps your hairdo looking put-together, even when you're unraveling a treacherous mystery. Using a neutral palate and hard-wearing basics lets you create an outfit formal enough for a class presentation, but still comfortable enough for a long study session.

Mixing structured pieces with more

While Westworld lets visitors experience the world in whatever way they wish, and find out their true selves; the true importance of the park comes in the form of the hosts, who begin to question their identity and form their own consciousness. Are they real? If you can't tell, does it matter?
This outfit mixes a structured high-neck dress with a distressed denim jacket, to mirror the conflicting nature of the hosts. Add strappy sandals and a sleek ear cuff for a futuristic vibe, and do a messy smoky eye for a rebellious edge. The key to the hosts' consciousness is the ability to look within themselves - so when you're wearing this, trust yourself, and don't be afraid to break the rules.

A Premonition - Prologue
The warm summer air blew through the crackling fire, blowing ashes high into the sky. They fell to their feet and landed in the water, disintegrating upon contact. Elsie wore a pair of blue jeans and a t-shirt, a wolf and dream catcher print denim button up shirt was draped around her shoulders. Sedona AZ was written in blue thread above the left chest pocket. A crumpled pack of cigarettes stuck out of the top. Mother Nature was preparing to change the weather, greeting the residents of the creek with a cold breeze coming down from the mountain.
Elsie sat around the campfire with her daughters’ cousin’s Jimmy and Mary. Mary and Jimmy were sipping on some beer while Elsie puffed on a non-menthol cigarette, smoking it down to the filter until it started to burn her fingers. She flicked it into the fire, watching it burn. Deanne and Suzanne, Elsie’s daughters, were at Suzie’s house having a party. She preferred it that way as she rested her hand atop a stack of large and wide books. Her husband, Benjamin, was inside their cabin in the woods fast asleep.
The ones she cared for most were farthest away, decreasing the odds of irreparable damage. Elsie huffed, standing up from her lawn chair that’s tucked tightly in the sand. She bent down, gathering a few books into her arms, and walked closer to the fire. As she held the books in one arm, she signed the cross over her body. “In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit” she said to herself. “I ask you, Lord, please keep your hedge of protection around me. Bathe me in the love and light of your Kingdom. Amen.” Elsie inhaled sharply and took one book from the stack in her arm, and tossed it into the fire.
As the leather bound book landed in the flames, the scream of a woman echoed through the trees. A myriad of birds ascended from their nests in the tops of the trees; forming a large, black cloud that dove toward the water before flying down the length of the creek, cawing into the night sky. The fire flew high above the ground in a fiery tornado, stretching out toward their bodies. A gust of cold wind blew through the trees. Jimmy and Mary fell back in their chairs while Elsie stood her ground, shoving her feet into the sand. She took another book and tossed it into the inferno. The growl of a beast emanated from the fire itself. A large, disfigured face of a Hellhound pressed through, its teeth barred. A third book was tossed into the fire and the flame returned to normal, the woods going eerily quiet. The birds’ cawing was nonexistent as the wind howled. The lone crackling of the fire reverberated to far places.
“What the hell was that?” Jimmy hollered from the sand. He stood up, dusting off his pants and shaking the sand from his hair.
“He’s here,” Elsie replied, tossing one more book into the fire, her eyes never veering away.
“Mary, are you okay?” Jimmy turned to find Mary standing at the edge of the creek, motionless. He walked up behind her, placing his hand on her shoulder. “What are you doing—” He fell backward a few steps, backing into a large boulder, and turned to Elsie.
“What…what’s wrong with her eyes?” He asked.
Elsie didn’t move except to pick up more of her books by her feet, knowing Mary’s eye’s had turned black. She had been possessed.
“Elsie, help me! What is wrong with you?” His voice pleaded for help, for answers.
Elsie kept doing the only thing she should be doing: renouncing her black magick practices through the burning of her spell books.
One by one she stacked book after book into the fire, the voices of unrested souls surrounding her. Mary began walking into the middle of the creek with Jimmy following close behind her, furiously shaking her shoulders. She was gone, he was scared and panicking, and Elsie was calm, feeling the hands of the Devil slowly releasing his grip around her soul. She held the final three books in her hands when a roar escaped through the fire, throwing Elsie off her feet. But she didn’t drop the books. A loud and deep laughter swirled through the wind around her, filling her mind. She tried covering her ears, but the laugh grew louder and intensely more menacing and sadistic, matching the beat of her heart.
You think you can escape me?
“Mary! Mary! Wake the hell up! Elsie! Please help me!” The voice continued cackling.
How dare you defy me, Elsie? I own you and your life. We had a deal.
Elsie stood to her feet, grasping tightly to the spell books. This had to end and it must end now. If it didn’t, it never would.
“In Jesus’ name we pray. Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in hea—” A large billow of wind blew through her.
You’re pathetic prayers will do nothing to stop me.
Elsie drops another book into the fire. The Devil shrieks in response.
“Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
Her body is fell weak; her knees begin buckling under her weight. The energy is draining from her soul as she flips another book into the fire. Just one more she thinks to herself. The Devil reveals himself through the fire, like how the hell hound did just moments ago. His eyes were black with emblems of blazing fire. He chose to avow himself as a regular man with the horns of a ram twisting halfway through each spiral. His face is thin and angular, not a freckle or blemish to be seen, similar to that of a porcelain doll. He was exquisitely terrifying.
“For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory for ever and ever. Amen!”
Elsie threw the last book into the fire. His screech blasted a wave of sound through Elsie, Jimmy, and Mary, rumbling and sloshing the water in the creek, shaking the ground she stood upon. Elsie watched as Mary fell into Jimmy’s arms before she herself fell to the ground.
This isn’t over, Elsie! I will be back, in one way or another. Hell will rise on earth! I will return!
His face receded back into the fire twister, which quickly fell back down to the ground and extinguished immediately, leaving a simple swirl of smoke emanating from the center of the fire pit.
Jimmy came out of the creek soaking wet and shivering, carrying Mary in his arms. He set down her limp and twitching body in the lawn chair. He turned on Elsie, looking down at her.
“What in God’s name just happened?” The lines of terror in his face began thinning out as the horror of the moment began to diminish, but the effect of shock quickly setting in.
“The ending to a new beginning.” Elsie said, gasping for breath.
He picked up a sopping wet Mary, heading towards the staircase that lead back up to the cabin. “We’ll see you later, Elsie. I think the rest is for you to deal with.”
Elsie watched as Jimmy carried Mary up the stairs, leaving a trail of water behind them. She felt a sting of defeat, like her soul had been taken away from her. Feelings of loneliness, self-hatred, and a deep depression washed over her being. She felt disappointed and worthless. She accomplished something monumental, yet felt the exact opposite. A single tear fell down her cheek.
As Elsie attempted and failed to push herself off the ground, a light began forming right behind her. She craned her neck over her shoulder, watching this majestic golden ray of light shimmer and shine. At the center of the blinding light came a male voice, calm and airy.
He cannot hurt you anymore, Elsie. You are safe.
She struggled to move to her feet. The light moved toward her, encasing her. The warmth of the light felt like a hug from God himself. As she kept trying to move to her feet, the light lifted her up, placing her upright on the ground. It felt like two arms slid underneath hers and hoisted her upward. Elsie wobbled back and forth, but the light kept her steady. Thank you she wanted to say aloud but couldn’t find her voice.
Elsie kicked some dirt onto the remaining bit of flame left of the fire, and walked to the stairs, taking them one by one until she reached the door to the cabin.
She never once looked back.

Spring Capsule Wardrobe Ideas
I’ve been working on shopping for (with lots of returning—haha!) and figuring out my spring AND summer capsule. I decided to try doing a two season capsule because I always get really excited about shopping for spring, but then summer kind of just blends in to it (for me). So I figured I may as well just do a bigger shop now and then wear the clothes for longer.
The goals for a capsule wardrobe can be customized to your lifestyle. For me, the main purpose of this challenge is to shop for a season (in this case, two seasons) and then take a break from shopping. It does help me save money and create less waste, but my main goal is to work towards less TIME spent shopping. Shopping online is so much fun, but it can also be a huge waste of time when done all the time. So learning to take extended breaks from online shopping has been really good for me!
The other thing I would like to improve this season is the comfort of my wardrobe. Being a new mom, I am now seeing the practical concerns that commenters always pointed out to me in the past. For example, I’ll show you below the CUTEST purse that is a nightmare for my new mom lifestyle. I am learning that while I do want to have my own style and feel confident in what I wear, my new main priority is definitely comfort. I want more clothing that is easy in every possible way—easy fits, easy to take care of, easy to move around in while trying to get my little gal into her carseat … just all around easy!
Alright … well, let’s move on to the fun part! Shopping IDEAS for spring and summer.
Dresses.
I still feel like dresses will play a huge part in my wardrobe … that is not changing anytime soon! This year, I am gravitating toward dresses that have fun prints that are either short or mid-length. I got several dresses from Rylee + Cru (with matching mini versions for Nova), including this one. Jumpsuits.
I am SO on board for the jumpsuit trend. I have several from Big Bud Press (when I like something, I tend to get it in a lot of colors). The other thing I am loving is matching sets!Links: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 (similar) / 10Shoes.
I am loving the current trends in shoes. The styles are really flattering and wearable right now. I am loving a mini heel. In years past, I was big on platforms, but I am trying to branch out to new styles and having a lot of fun trying out new things right now. Tops.
Tops are one of the categories I struggle with more when shopping. I tend to wear my favorites over and over, but have a difficult time finding a lot of options that are flattering and can be mixed and matched. Skirts.
I tend to wear my skirts over and over. They make for quick, easy outfits that still feel like I’m trying (as opposed to yoga pants—haha). I always have a couple Madewell skirts in my closet and a few vintage ones for fun.

Jeans and pants are more challenging to shop for. For me, it’s all about the fit. If the fit isn’t perfect, I won’t wear them, and so I try to be extremely picky and return anything that’s not both comfortable and flattering. That said, I am loving the variety of denim and pants styles that are available this year. Shorts were actually kind of easy for me this year because I did what I used to do in elementary school and I turned three pairs of jeans into shorts for the new season … just chopped them off! What I am looking for now are a few more pairs of high-waisted shorts that can be dressed up just a little.Links: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7
Spring + Summer Outerwear.
This is an important category for me since as soon as it becomes the tiniest bit warm every restaurant begins to BLAST the AC. I have to remember to bring sweaters with me everywhere I go (and now one for Nova, too). The other thing I love in this category is a good denim jacket. I wear mine all the time, year round. My denim jacket from Madewell is probably the most worn item in my whole closet! I actually have it in two sizes depending on if I want a tight fit or a cozy fit.

Bags.
I looooooove bags. This is, by far, my favorite section to shop. I have to cut myself off at a certain point … haha. But since I wear very minimal jewelry and accessories, I do feel like my bags (and sunnies) are my main statement pieces. Jewelry.
