Hello! I absolutely adore Better Bones despite never reading beyond the first series of Warrior Cats. Last time I checked canon, Bramblestar was a kit that nearly died in a fire. So your canon is canon to me and it’s probably better that way.

I do have a question though. How big do your cats think the world is? The meaningful size of their world is from the Lake to the Forest to the Ocean, but I keep thinking of how medieval peasants sometimes had their whole lives uprooted for a crusade thousands of miles away, and wondering what Clan Cats think the real edges are. Do they see Ireland and France as mythical, far off lands filled with fairytale creatures? Do they know that anything exists beyond the oceans at all? The other side of possibility is that kittypets have given them some concept of human geography, and the cats can tell stories about a land further south than a cat could walk in a lifetime, where the stars are unrecognizable and the very moon is upside down.

Clan cats believe that the sky, earth, ground, and aquifers below are actually one big mobius strip, and that existence repeats from top-to-bottom. Water that soaks to the bottom ends up in the sky just as steam rises up to it.

Moles dig down so far that their pelts become gently touched by StarClan, and that's why they're so soft without shine.

The world in a horizontal sense is less important, they don't talk to kittypets very much, not enough for cultural diffusion to take place in regards to human geography. They are blissfully unaware of London, let alone anything beyond the coast of Albion.

The closest anyone's really come to learning more was Heartstar, when she was on her Dovewing Quest, seeing trains and a singing cat. She decided that this was not anything she needed to know about.

SO when they see something like the sea, they believe it's a really big lake. Airplanes are probably birds flying far away. Clan cats believe that StarClan is the greatest force in the world, so surely, wherever they choose for the cats to live must be the most beautiful of all. They're a pretty self-absorbed bunch, but more than that, culturally discourage "wandering" cats!

Depending on where they are exactly (this is why Albion isn't exactly the isle of Great Britain and it's been renamed, I'm shuffling some geography) they may also be able to see part of Wales, Ireland, or the Isle of Man from where they usually collect salt. Which just leads to them believing the ocean is just a big, salty lake, given time.

#if the project ever became original I'd probably make the mountain of the Tribe-#and this new ridge that they're getting over at sanctuary lake-#into something that was once a continuous mountain range #but when Holly Leaves and Dove's Wing faced off Dove picked it up and hit her with it. So there's a flat space where there was once mountai #but if it became original there would also be like. Significant historical changes to the entire world based off that collapse #Like. Kaeya was definitely the kind of kid who never threw tantrums and was willing to accept the bare minimum for everything, thinking he didn’t deserve to press for more (at first bc he thought he’d be kicked out if he did, then bc he just felt so guilty and uneasy doing so out of habit).

It’s only thanks to Diluc and especially Adelinde that he eventually came to advocate for himself more.

while i was at Aquashella there were multiple tables selling axolotls and it reminded me about a handful of posts made by people who probably had good intentions about how so many Endangered axolotls would be Poached for the Evil Pet Trade if people kept liking them so much.

and y'all. that is so fucking funny because most people don't even know what a wild axolotl looks like. They're muddy brown/grey.

The white and pink leucistic ones are the descendents of lab animals that were collected for research around stem cells, limb regeneration, and a few other misc applications.

they're lucys because theyve been intentionally genetically modified. there is legit no reason to poach axolotls when the real all organic animal is muck grey and has the disposition of a prudish victorian noble woman while the ones already in the pet trade breed readily in captivity, can handle a larger range of water parameters, and come in way more weird colors. like "floresces green under black light bc of the jelly fish DNA some scientists gave it's grandparents to confirm Other genetic modifications were being incorporated into the animals DNA."

which you can buy as a baby for 70 bucks, and like btw, wildtypes go for around 45, and are usually the by-product of breeding for other colors due to how most morphs are comprised of recessive genes.

you can get combo adult breeder pair deals for 100$ and have a quadspmillion of the fuckers in a few weeks. and Not run the risk of getting massive fines and jail time for it like you would for poaching the ones that look like they came from a breeders soft cull bin.

i am once again overwhelmed by love for humans as a whole

For Nintendo purposes I'm now a resident of portland, oregon.

When I got my switch (last year, as a gift) and I tried to open the eshop, I found out just to open the fucking shop you need to be from a handful of select, privileged countries. So I went into my Nintendo account and changed my location to the US.

Recently I got myself a dollar card. In my country, it's almost (practically) impossible to send any amount of money outside the country. So no online international purchases at all. Unless you go through a third party to buy gift cards. But some time ago, the government + nepal rastra bank started issuing prepaid dollar cards, with a limit of $500.

I'd been thinking of getting one since the cards became available but hadn't because a. having to go the bank, and b. I'd, for some reason, with no proof, thought one needed to load all five hundred dollars at once, and that's a lot of money. And then I saw a post on r/nepal that said patreon doesn't take prepaid cards. And that made me even more hesitant about getting a dollar card.

But now that I have some money, I said fuck it and went to the bank. Didn't take more than 20 minutes and turns out you can load a little at a time ($10 one-time activation charge, $2 charge per load) upto 500 a year. But I was still apprehensive about using it.

Last night I plucked up the courage and got the 7 day free trial for the Nintendo switch online membership (can't believe you need payment details to get a FREE trial). (But more importantly, WHY THE FUCKING FUCK DO WE HAVE TO PAY TO GO ONLINE WHEN WE COULD DO THAT FOR FREE ON THE 3DS AND THE CONSOLES THAT CAME BEFORE.)

It asked for my location, and again I set it to USA. It asked me for my zipcode, which will be needed to calculate sales tax. So I look up the states with the lowest sales tax and it turns out Alaska and oregon don't have that. At first I thought of going with anchorage bc I'm cool like that but then I stopped and thought wouldn't a bigger city like portland get more offers? As if I was going to go to a physical store there myself? What? So anyway i entered the first zipcode I saw of portland and everything went well and now I have a free trial that expires in 6 days and apparently auto renews to the monthly subscription.

The first thing I did after being able to go online was connect to pokemon go (that was a whole ordeal and half). The second thing I did was do a surprise trade (got a gible for a meditite). And then I joined a tera raid, for a hoothoot. And idk what the shiny chances are for these tera raids but
