Alright this is my biggest unanswered question in Fire Emblem lore that I've been thinking about for like 8 years

Things that we know:

• Chrom and Lucina are Marth's descendants

• Priam is Ike's descendant

• Panne and Yarne are basically laguz

• They're all on Ylisse, previously Archanea

• Priam can't learn Aether

• Chrom and Lucina can learn Aether

• Ike can only S support with males

What does it mean?!?!?! What exactly are they implying with all this? Priam looks like Ike, acts fairly similar to Ike, has Ragnell for crying out loud, yet can't inherit his ancestor's trademark skill, yet Chrom and Lucina can!!

At the end of Tellius Series Ike disappears never to be seen again, it can easily be assumed that he went to Archanea considering all the evidence that we have, but how did laguz species end up there? And how does Ike even have descendants in the first place? Mist and Boyd could be an explanation, but if he never saw them again, how would their descendant get to Archanea??

After Awakening, Fates and Heroes, I'm assuming some sort of gateway exists between Tellius and Archanea that Ike discovered and then their worlds continued to use it to be in contact with each other (?) It makes a fair amount of sense, but I still don't know about the whole Aether business... I do believe Priam comes from Mist and Boyd's line which is why he can't inherit it, but why can Chrom and Lucina?!?! What.. what are the implications....

Chrobin:

Imagine finding a stranger on the ground, picking them up, and saying 'you are one of us now!' That's Chrobin for you! Chrom quite literally found Robin laying in a field unconscious and decided to bring them along on his little routine mission but one thing leads to another and Chrom is never without Robin. The two fight off medieval zombies, travel the continent, suffer and heal together as their story goes on. The core of Robin and Chrom's relationship is their friendship but the game gives you the option to have them get married and wow, Chrobin real!!! I could ramble about their tragedy or their silliness but it all leads back to their friendship and how they stick together no matter what life and death throws at them. In a later game in the series their souls are imprinted together in an ancient weapon. What's more romantic than being a powerful magical bracelet together?

KohaAi:

first of all they were online friends before their introduction to the game where they lost contact with each other after a while. they first met in real life after moving into the idol dorms where they met by chance. aira, meeting kohaku for the first time, LITERALLY CALLED HIM PRETTY AND WHEN HE WOKE UP IN THE MORNING, HE THOUGHT HE WAS DREAMING BECAUSE OF HOW PRETTY HE THOUGHT KOHAKU WAS. and they also think each other's names (and each other) are beautiful! theres also the fact they love each other's company and hang out just with just the two of them all the time (and theyre each other's first person to hang out with). theres even an official 4-koma where theyre basically going out on a date for crepes and boba and kohaku's cousin, tsukasa, steals his boba and kohaku WALKS OUT OF FRAME HOLDING AIRA'S HAND. FOR WHAT REASON !!! not to mention theres an official scout story where they had to act romantically together for a job and didn't even act any different and the director was like yup! perfect! that was romantic! and i will never recover. theyve shared food together, they like getting gifts for each other, and always believe theyve got each others backs. kohaku also canonically is very weak to aira. aira wanted kohaku to do a dance trend with him and he thought it was embarrassing but then aira started pouted and kohaku was like NOOOOO I CANT SAY NO TO THAT FACE. and speaking of aira's face, kohaku has CANONICALLY admitted that he loves seeing aira's happy faces and even referred to him as "a special person" (translated) using a term meant for people you really love, and usually is in regards to lovers ! and last but certainly not least, the yoru ni kakeru cover they did with their units! their lines were:

Both: Even so, someday we'll surely, we'll understand each other

Kohaku: I believe that

Aira: In the troubling days, I became unable to smile

Kohaku: You are truly beautiful in my eyes

I have gotten bored yet again and I have chosen to draw all the video game men I simp for.

Why do almost all of them have similar bang syndrome, like this isn't funny anymore-

LEON, GHIRAHIM, META KNIGHT AND GARRY HAVE THE SAME BANGS AS EACHOTHER.

LINHARDT AND SECCOM MASADA ALSO HAVE THE SAME BANGS-

WHY DO MOST MEN I AM INTO HAVE CURTAIN BANGS????? (Yes, that's what those bangs are called, even if it's asymmetrical curtain bangs.)

Also extra question: WHY THE FUCK do I simp for more non-human beings? (Netzach, Meta Knight, Link [Hylians are canonically not considered human], Ghirahim, Sidon, Fukase, MoonJumper [he's barely visible but he's there], and Seccom Masada.)

I also apparently found out Garry's name is spelt more often with two R's even though I always thought it was one.

I wish to question what my tastes in men are, and a lot appear to be twinks and twinks, both make me pathetic and are hard to find in real life.

I find it even crazier that most of these bastards I have the headcannon that they're gay, and one of them LITERALLY IS GAY IN CANNON.

I also find it funny how I literally have the color of the rainbow in here except for someone who's primary hair color is orange.

I should really listen to myself and stop trying to play the older Fire Emblem games or remakes of them, because they're clearly not my thing.

viBRAToryblurriness: First impressions of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, the DS remake of the very first game: it has zero charm and feels like a SNES game (derogatory) viBRAToryblurriness: Like not like a good one, like one of the mediocre ones you'd rent because it looked vaguely interesting from the box and then be stuck with it for a few days despite it not being particularly good, and now you know why it was still on the shelf and the one you were looking for wasn't viBRAToryblurriness: Yeah my Reddit dude, extremely bland dialogue in faux archaic English and character/place names that look like keysmashes are totally Shakespearian viBRAToryblurriness: I don't know how they basically traveled back in time a full decade in terms of presentation compared to the GBA games viBRAToryblurriness: The pixel art is mediocre at best bordering on bad, and the animations really are as bad as everyone said they are, which is a shame because the GBA ones had so much personality

For context, someone on Reddit recently was complaining about modern Fire Emblem and how Awakening is a dating sim and older games were Shakespearian. This is extremely funny to me both because they clearly have never read/seen any actual Shakespeare and because pairing up units for marriage/making child units originated way back on the SNES in Genealogy of the Holy War (or I guess Super Famicom since it never made it out of Japan).

At least in SoV I really liked the characters and art style and overall presentation pretty much immediately, and that kept me going into act 4 even if I wasn't really enjoying the gameplay that much, but after nearly an hour of this one I'm not into basically any of it. It's done pretty much nothing to win me over so far.

Should I go finally finish Path of Radiance already (which I technically never quite have even though I started playing it for the first time ~18 years ago) or just replay Engage? Yes, almost definitely. Will I actually go do that instead of continuing to subject myself to stuff I'm not enjoying? Eventually I hope, but apparently not quite yet.
