can’t say i’m attached to any of the notable characters in onestar’s se but i’m still a little eeehhh at what sort of retcons the writing team will make. some of their choices are akin to them seeing a trash fire and pouring gasoline on it.

could i get a pendulum for Loki and Mistfeather?
I apologize for this taking a while.
----
Loki - Soft no to canon, soft yes to non-canon
I felt pulled to the conversation about the blood pact. "They are soon interrupted by Darktail, who asks if they want to stay with The Kin. Max denies the request, and Loki says that he sleeps on his housefolk's kit's bed. Darktail reminds them of the oath that they toke, and the white tom soon convinces the three kittypets to stay." (summary from Warriors Wiki) Something tells me you were actually able to leave. Despite Darktail's persuasion, there's a feeling of guardianship towards the twoleg kit and that was what drove you back, if not something along those lines.
Mistfeather - Soft no to canon, I Don't Know to non-canon
This is an odd one. Something tells me Darktail didn't kill you and you died another way. Something else tells me that you joined The Kin instead of becoming a loner. I'm not sure. It may be a good idea to ask another or do some investigating yourself.
That’s both of them! I hope this helps in any way. Remember, Jerry is just a guide. Do not take his answers to heart.

The Blueflower AU
The Blueflower AU is an AU I came up with about a year ago! In this universe, Bluestar is actually a medicine cat named Blueflower!
It all starts after Moonflower’s death. Bluepaw begins to neglect her training as a warrior apprentice, and after struggling with Sunfall for a few moons, she tells him that she wants to train as a medicine cat instead. She announces it publicly to the clan at the same time Pinestar decides to leave to become a kittypet. Her choice is not well-received, but both Featherwhisker and Sunfall (soon-to-be Sunstar), stand by her and allow her to begin her training. Snowpaw and Goosefeather in particular are especially unhappy about all of this.
Snowpaw, feeling abandoned and confused, grows closer to Thistlepaw. This of course only puts more of a strain on she and Bluepaw’s relationship. Meanwhile, Bluepaw is also trying not to be bothered by Goosefeather’s ranting. He comes to her multiple times, insisting that she’s denying her true destiny and disobeying Starclan. She ignores him, and starts to resent him.
Bluepaw, now struggling to be close with any of her kin in Thunderclan, begins to form relationships outside of her clan. Namely with Yellowfang and Oakpaw, who, in this AU, is also a medicine cat. She and Yellowfang quickly bonded over the fact that they previously trained as warriors, and Oakpaw gives her the opportunity to let go of all her stress and expectations.
Finally, Bluepaw earns her medicine cat name. Featherwhisker chooses Blueflower, in honor of her mother. Despite her clan’s initial reservations, she’s become a trusted medicine cat. Both Stormtail and Snowfur are disappointed, but Snowfur tries to be supportive. Blueflower is elated that her sister seems to want to rekindle their strained relationship… Until she learns that Snowfur is expecting Thistleclaw’s kits. She can’t help but feel a bit betrayed that Thistleclaw, who’s terrorized her for moons, is the cat that Snowfur chooses as her mate. Still, she tries to remain close with Snowfur, not wanting to lose her again after moons of hardly speaking. Besides, she can always vent her frustrations to Oakheart.
Snowfur’s kits arrive, and Blueflower adores Whitekit. Thistleclaw isn’t fond of Blueflower’s presence, and fears she’ll make him “soft” or encourage him to become a medicine cat. But, in this AU, Snowfur lives, and he knows he can’t exactly threaten Blueflower with her around.
Oakheart and Blueflower start to spend even more time together, and Blueflower is surprised when she starts to develop feelings for him. She tries to suppress them, but fails. Besides, it’s so easy to hide it all behind “medicine cat duties”. They meet once every full moon anyway, if not more. Maybe they could hide it, maybe no one will find out.
Of course, Yellowfang isn’t that naive. She tries to warn Blueflower, but knows she won’t listen. She’s the first one Blueflower confides in when she learns that she’s expecting kits, and wishes she could do something to help, but ultimately there’s nothing she can do. Blueflower confides in Snowfur about her kits, and they pull a Leafpool and Squirrelflight.
Thistleclaw, who has recently been appointed as the Thunderclan deputy, is thrilled to have three more kits, but he is not happy about how much time Blueflower is spending with them - even more so than with Whitekit.
I’ll add more to the story later, but for now, that’s all!

Bonefall's Forgotten Warriors
If you've ever set out to make a WC fan project, you've surely heard of Su Susann's Missing Kits. It was a series of authorial statements giving names to previously unnamed cats, and adding interesting little stories to many of them.
But there's also a TON of "Forgotten Warriors" that were created through timeline inconsistencies, offhanded authorial statements, or single throwaway lines in super editions. By their nature, finding these cats on the wiki is a pain in the butt. In this post I hope to compile these cats as a resource for the fandom.
So first, let's define a Forgotten Warrior.
A Forgotten Warrior does not have a big presence. Primrosepaw was first named as a Missing Kit with no mention of her name on the page or in the allegiances. Over time, she has appeared in several books and is now a widely known name in the fandom. But Blossomkit, whose only appearance is in Su Susann's Missing Kits and the worst field guide, will count as a Forgotten Warrior.
A Forgotten Warrior is not just a nondescript Clan cat. For example, if a "ThunderClan warrior" speaks up at a gathering and their name and description is not mentioned, that could be anyone. Same applies to a description that could easily describe an existing character in a Clan-- if a "White ShadowClan Warrior" appears in a modern arc, that may just be Stonewing, BUT, the "Tabby Queen with Distinct Black Markings" of TPB doesn't match any other, so she is a Forgotten Warrior.
A minor appearance inconsistency is not a Forgotten Warrior. Just to pre-empt wiseassery. Blue-eyed Dovewing and Green-eyed Dovewing are not two separate cats-- but I will note down MASSIVE appearance changes in background characters, like the magic color AND gender-changing Stoatfur (just add water!)
(also, I will not be compiling all of the random kittypets, rogues, and loners because there is too many of them. I could, however, be persuaded to compile all cats of a specific group, like The Kin, Sisters, BloodClan, etc.)
This post is an updating list as I find and catalogue more cats. Last update: 8/21/23, version 1.1 Added new category: Sudden Elders
Key: X = No gender F = Female M = Male

Rabbittail M WindClan ancestor of Webfoot who was caught in a human trap for REAL rabbits, but chewed his way out.

Oatwhisker M Appears as a WindClan elder without warning when the Clans get to the lake.
Snaketail M Brown ShadowClan elder with a striped tail
Ivytail F A brown tabby in RiverClan who dies of oil poisoning

Thinking about one of my older WC aus again… I’ve finally got a name for it: the Kinless Leaders au
In which I realized that it makes way more sense for the leaders in Warriors to be put under the “cannot have mates or kits” rule rather than healers…
Leaders are far more ingrained in politics and diplomacy than healers are. They’re the only non-healer, as well, who are known to have steady contact with StarClan, and have recieved a grand gift (nine lives) from their ancestors. Literally touched by the stars. They’d need to be “pure”, and completely unhindered by emotional or physical attachments (that being: immediate family, romantic attachments, and kits) that could cloud their judgement when it comes to the good of the whole Clan.
They’re allowed friends — to a degree. Deputies, and successors, would be chosen only if they have no immediate family to speak of, and can prove throughout their assisting reign to have the fortitude to not become a mate or parent. If a leader does have kits, they are to be immediately deposed, for they have lost their Clan’s trust, their connection to StarClan + their ancestor’s trust, and broken their vows. They are more likely now to jump to defend their kin in the face of political unrest, as well.
It would just make more sense, thematically, if this were the case… And provide way more drama. Like, so much more.
Thistleclaw could still have courted Snowfur and sired Whitestorm, but would have broken her heart and requested she invoke Queen’s Rights and not name a father — which could have led to Bluefur’s distaste for him, because of course her sister would have confided in her.
Bluefur could have been pregnant at the time Goosefeather told her of the prophecy, and warned her of Thistleclaw’s bloodthirsty intentions. By that time, Snowfur would have been dead, and we could just kill off Stormtail a bit earlier. Hence why she had to give up her kits, albeit far earlier, to secure her place as leader.
Tigerclaw wouldn’t have sired Goldenflower or Sasha’s kits. But kittens raised without an obvious father, especially when Sasha was a kittypet and Goldenflower’s first mate for her first litter was rumored to be a loner, would be far more easy to manipulate and guide under one’s wing. He could have offered Tawnypelt a place in ShadowClan under him for the same reasons as canon, and could have coaxed both Brambleclaw and Hawkfrost into the Dark Forest after his death regardless.
Crookedstar’s life now becomes ever-sadder, as he fell in love with Willowbreeze, who reciprocated, but could only be with her in secret. Then she and most of their kits die, leading him to believe it is a sign, and offer his only surviving kit to his estranged brother to take into his own mysteriously-born litter.
No more “Half of ThunderClan being direct Firestar descendants”, because Firestar now cannot have kits. Perhaps Squirrelflight and Leafpool were still his, however… Perhaps ThunderClan’s bright brand of fire isn’t as perfect as many believe.
Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight were mates and raised a family, however the argument of “they’re not really yours, so is it alright to step into leadership?” could be made in a society that values their leader’s purity…
Idk. Much angst. Many intrigue. It’s a personal favorite au of mine ^^

Snowstorm!
Tumblr media
Design Notes:
Pretty much the same, but I made her white more blue, last time I made her too creamy colored.
Character Bio:
Snowstorm
(Snowfur)
Pansexual; she/her
Age as of death: 5 cycles, 8 moons (~38 Hyrs)
Title meaning: -storm = a cat who is powerful in battle; strong and fights like a storm
Warrior of Thunder Order
Mentor: Sparrowpelt
Mother: Moonflower
Father: Stormtail
Siblings: Star Bluefrost
Half Siblings: Downnose; Cricketstep
Mate (cat divorced post death): Thistleclaw
Kits: Sky; Shine; Shimmer; Star Tigerclaw; Lynxstorm
Grandkits: Swift; Brambleflower; Tawnyclaw; Sootfur; Rainwhisker; Sorreltail; Mothwing; Star Hawkfrost
Other notable kin: Daisytoe (grandmother); Rooktail (grandfather); Goosefeather (uncle); Stonecliff (nephew); Star Mistyfoot (niece); Moss (niece)
Extra notes:
Just like with Bluefrost, she doesn't really view Down and Cricket as siblings so I didn't list Shrike in the other kin section.
Snow just doesn't really think of Stormtail as her father and she just chooses to ignore him for the most part.
Character Summary:
Snowstorm is a strong and fierce cat, quick to fight and extremally stubborn, while Bluefrost is the cold and calculating one (before her old age at least), Snow is the one who is rash and quick to act.
It is not all to surprising that Snow ended up being mates with Thistleclaw as they were similar in many ways. However they are almost too similar, they fed into each other's worst traits, constantly wanting to one up each other and prove they are strong, they had a very toxic relationship. Bluefrost (and their shared friends Rosebush and Thrushcloud) took notice of this, they, especially Blue tried to get Snow to see the issue with the relationship, but Snow was a stubborn cat and refused any of their advice "she was strong and could take care of herself thank you very much". Eventually Blue and their friends gave up on actively trying to split up Snow and Thistle as they saw it could only piss Snow off more and would lead to her pulling away so they instead just kept an eye on her.
Snow and Thistle became known as that couple who fought and bickered a lot, but most didn't notice how poor the relationship truly was, just like how most didn't notice how awful of a person Thistleclaw was.
Snow and Thistle had their first litter when they were between 1-2 cycles old, sadly the litter was premature and all 3 kits died soon after their birth due to how weak and sickly they were. Snow named them Sky, Shine and Shimmer in reference to the Stars where she knew they would go to soon. The death of her first litter deeply traumatized Snow and she was not ready to have another litter for many more cycles, much to the chagrin of Thistleclaw who desperately wanted to carry on his bloodline (he wanted little mini Thistles to mold). However Snow wouldn't budge on the topic and they only had a litter once Snow was ready.
Thistle and Snow's second litter were Tigerclaw and Lynxstorm, two healthy and strong toms.
Sadly soon after Tiger and Lynx had been made apprentices, Snow had gone for a patrol alongside Thistle. They had gotten into an argument about the harsh extra training and morals Thistle was determined to give their sons. Thistle riled Snow up, claiming she was weak for disliking what he was doing, and when Snow was in a state like that she didnt think before acting. When a River Order patrol interrupted their argument by crossing the border, Snow jumped at the chance to prove just how much stronger she than her mate she was, but in battle Snow was too consumed with fighting to notice the cliff... which she fell over, plummeting to her demise.
The death of Snow deeply effected both her sons and Bluefrost, though it is hard to say how it effected Thistle, he barely showed emotion beyond anger, but the tom was almost always angry.
Bluefrost never truly moved on after Snow's death however, and it's because of this she was so blind to how cruel of a cat Tigerclaw was becoming, Blue was too attached to him being her beloved sister's son to believe he was more his father than his mother. She only saw the truth once the tom turned on her and attacked that she saw what her nephew had become.
...
[Image ID: A digital drawing of Snowstorm an au version of Snowfur from Warrior Cats. She is half standing with her back legs lower to the ground, she has a determined but happy expression on her face with her mouth open in a smile. She is a slender, long furred, light blue-gray and brown tabby color point molly, with blue eyes. She has a white body with with bluish light gray coloring on her face, ears, legs and tail and slightly darker stripes and light tan-brown lines her colorpoint markings where they meet the white. She also has white lining her eyes, on her muzzle and up between her eyes, on the tips of her toes and the tip of her tail. She has a pink nose and inner ears./End ID]

Warrior Cats Novellas in 10 Words or Less (mostly 10 words):
So I started explaining the super editions to my friend who’s only read the first series and then this just happened. I’ve read a majority of the novellas and I’ve at least seen review for pretty much all of them so this may be somewhat accurate. Without further ado:
Hollyleaf’s Story - presumed-dead murderer delays confronting mistakes (with ghost love interest???)
Mistystar’s Omen - local leader conflicted about her atheist doctor (real main character)
Cloudstar’s Journey - entire people wiped out in series of tragic events (sad)
Tigerclaw’s Fury - coup leader recruits goons (several things go wrong)
Leafpool’s Wish - doctor has illegal affair and children (sister deals with it)
Dovewing’s Silence - I cried at the mass funeral (not kidding)
alternatively; Dovewing’s Silence - woman struggles with perfectly fine hearing (featuring annoying creep Bumblestripe)
Mapleshade’s Vengeance - everyone is somewhat to blame (please don’t kill me)
Goosefeather’s Curse - baby prophet gets bullied (and causes numerous disasters)
Ravenpaw’s Farewell - gay cats are the best cats (rip OG Alderheart)
Spottedleaf’s Heart - they didn’t think this one through well enough (questionable)
Pinestar’s Choice - had to look this one up (guy thinks life sucks?)
Thunderstar’s Echo - don’t know this one (mundane stuff happens in ancient Thunderclan?)
Redtail’s Debt - the writers didn’t pay attention (still a good story tho)
Tawnypelt’s Clan - old lady sick of everyone’s shit (and rightfully so)
Shadowstar’s Life - state leader paranoid about assassination (tensions temporarily resolved with death)
Pebbleshine’s Kits - pregnant woman wanders around a bit (allows kinda weird cameos)
Tree’s Roots - genuinely nice character backstory (will warm your heart)
Mothwing’s Secret - doctor rejects religion (good conclusion - the gods are a scam)
Daisy’s Kin - babysitter thinks she’s purposeless (she’s actually too good for everyone)
Blackfoot’s Reckoning - cool, but I don’t get the hype (sorry Blackstar fans)
alternatively; Blackfoot’s Reckoning - president reviews obvious mistakes during inauguration (while making several excuses)
Spotfur’s Rebellion - woman assists coup that fails (she’s not like other girls)

Sun Bluefeather (Bluefur/star)
Leader of the Fall Thunderbringer Sect
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kitten -> Apprentice -> Soldier -> Deputy -> Leader
she/her/hers new-catte (trans), bisexual
Image IDs below the cut and information.
Grandparents: Daisyspot, Rookfeather, Squirreltail, Stagleap Parents: Lilybloom, Stormtail Siblings: Swanflight
Mate(s): Oakheart (former) Kit(s): Stoneshell, Mistywaters, Mossypaw, Willowleaf Grandkit(s): Darkstripe, Graystripe
Mentor: Tawnyspots Former Apprentice(s): Mousefang, Sun Firesong (unofficial)
Sun Bluefeather was always a quiet kitten. As Bluepaw, she was quiet and kind, eager to help and eager to be useful. That changed when she was made an apprentice under Tawnyspots. The catte was ruthless, but taught humility and preached peace whenever he got the chance to. Blueclaw found this useful when she was first given the chance to prove herself. Lilybloom, Rookfeather, Heronwing, and Rabbitleap all died in the failed ambush on the Sky Breezemoor Sect. Worse, their clan got charged with attempted kitten murder and was trialed. Stormtail was found guilty and sent to atonement. Exile for a season. No contact at all. Blueclaw was alone in her grief, she thought. She wasn't actually alone in her grief, but she isolated herself from everyone. Others tried to help, but how could they? How dare they tell her how to feel? Eventually, Stormtail came back. Of course he would, but it was different. He wasn't actually grieving at all. That made Blueclaw realize several things. One, Stormtail didn't actually care about Lilybloom. Two, he didn't care about his kittens, he hadn't spoken or comforted to either her or Swanclaw at all. Three, she had very little kin still alive, and needed to hold them close. She rebuilt her relationship with Swanclaw near the end of her apprenticeship and began to build a more stable relationship with Goosefeather. Naturally, she began to also talk to his apprentice, Featherclaw. She realized a lot when she spoke to him. She and Swanclaw became Bluefeather and Swanflight upon completing their assessments. Bluefeather also told the clan that she felt more like a catte and would be undergoing the proper herbal treatments for transitioning. After a long while of being a full soldier, she met someone. A kind red-brown kater with eyes of solid amber, so deep you could swim in them. Smile perfect, claws sharp, fur silky and thick, but he was of the Cold Creekbay Sect, but he understood her. He was a new-kater, but the experience was similar. Oakheart. Oakheart was the deputy of his sect, no less. They still mated, and when Oakheart told her that he was expecting kittens, she disowned them and declared that they were not to be mates and that she could, legally, take a single kitten once they were born. Once the kittens were born, the Creekbay Messenger summoned Bluefeather to their camp for the kitten. The Thunderbringer Sect was outraged, but allowed her to claim her kitten. The winter winds and snow made it hard to see, and Bluefeather asked that she rest a moment. Once they'd rested and the winds had died down, Bluefeather arrived in the camp. She and Oakheart barely spoke, and she took the blue and cream tortoiseshell catte, naming her Mossypaw. Bluefeather then left for the Thunderbringer Sect. Mossypaw grew up for a while without knowledge of her siblings and father. During the harsh winters that'd lead to the Starved Period, Mossypaw succumbed to starvation and hypothermia. Sun Bluefeather was destroyed. Then, she met Yellowfang and Russetfur.
[ Find out more when I post the "Bluefeather's Horror" redux. ]
Personal Comments:
Sun Bluefeather is such a complicated character and I love her for it. Her mentor definitely influenced her personality heavily, and you'll definitely see that clearly when I actually begin to write her as a character in a more narrative setting.
The family area, I actually ended up redoing a lot of the family tree for Thunderbringer. This'll be updated once I finalize a lot of the plot and such.
---
[ Image ID - An image of Bluefur in the Wildfire Rewrite, known as Sun Bluefeather. She is a large, dark gray ticked tabby cat with white accents along her chest, belly, and tail. Her paws are white. She has yellow-green eyes with strange pupils. End ID ]
[ Image ID - The same image as the previous one, but accessorized. Bluefeather wears a large, thick brown leather belt with an attached bag. It's lid's latch seems to be a cat's tooth. Under the belt is a large section of a fox's pelt. Two brown pouches hang off the belt. Bluefeather also adorns small pieces of jewelry, being a large necklace with a simplified sun pendant, and two bracelets. The lowest hanging one has a toadstool pendant attached, while the tightest one has two small beads. The left one is painted a pale yellow, while the left is panted a pale green. End ID ]

WC Skyfall AU Timeline: From The Skyfall to The Light in the Mist
This is a draft timeline for the Skyfall AU outline. All dates are approximate and subject to change.
Winter 1920 - Skyclan is exiled from the forest after human settlement drives them from their home territory. The remaining clans refuse to aid the homeless clan and Skyclan leaves the forest. Only Birdflight, the mate of Cloudstar of Skyclan, and their kittens remain behind. Skyclan vows to never turn to Starclan again, causing the formation of the Skypaws, which becomes Skyclan's ancestral skies.
Spring 1921 - Skyclan arrives at the gorge. Cloudstar dies soon after, the stress of the events in the forest and the subsequent journey catching up to him. Buzzardstar is named leader.
1938-1940 - The Thunderclan Civil War fought between the Cloudstar and Redstar's descendants within Thunderclan. The result is the death of many warriors and the Thunderclan leader (and Cloudstar descendant), Yarrowstar, and the formation of the Skybloods as a group within Thunderclan.
Summer 1950 - Amberstar of Thunderclan becomes the first true Skyblood leader of Thunderclan. Her descendants (Birdstar, Oakstar, Pinestar, Tigerstar of Shadowclan, and Bramblestar) would lead Thunderclan for the majority of the next several decades.
1958 - Birdstar of Thunderclan and Frondstar of Shadowclan begin leading raids into the town, kidnapping kits in the process. These raids would continue through the reigns of the leaders' successors Oakstar and Houndstar.
1975 - Mapleshade's Vengeance takes place. Darkstar of Riverclan, upset at Oakstar for damning the kittens along with the mother, adds a law to the warrior code: Kittens are to be protected, regardless of their origins or the actions of their kin.
"Mapleshade may have been the one to bring those kittens to the river, but they would not have been there had it not been for your rashness, Oakstar. Kittens are not to be blamed for the actions of their kin."
1984 - Pinestar's Choice begins
1985 - Doestar of Thunderclan ends the raids on the town and establishes friendly, although fragile, relations with the cats of the town.
1986 - Goosefeather's Curse begins [this may be scrapped-- I am not a big fan of this novella or it's implications for future events]
1989 - Yellowfang's Secret and Tallstar's Revenge begin
1991 - Pinestar becomes leader of Thunderclan
1994 - Bluestar's Prophecy and Crookedstar's Promise begin
1996 - Pinestar leaves Thunderclan to become a house-cat, abandoning his family in the process. Leopardfoot, his ex-mate, suggests a new law for the code in her anger: A noble warrior rejects the life of a house-cat and will lay down their life in service of their clan
1997 - Tallstar becomes leader of Windclan and Leopardstar's Honor begins.
Winter 1998 - Blueflame [Bluefur/Bluestar] gives birth to Mistykit, Stonekit, and Mosskit in Thunderclan. Mistykit and Stonekit are given to their father, Oakheart of Riverclan, while Mosskit passes away on the trip to the river. Blueflame is named deputy of Thunderclan.
2000 - Redtail's Debt and Spottedleaf's Heart begin. Crookedstar becomes leader of Riverclan.
2001 - Bluestar becomes leader of Thunderclan.
Spring 2003 - Rusty the Kittypet joins Thunderclan as Firepaw. Windclan is driven from the forest by Brokenstar.
Summer 2003 - Brokenstar is driven out of Shadowclan.
Early Fall 2003 - Fireheart and Graystripe help bring Windclan home after they are driven out by Brokenstar.
2005 - Tigerclaw is exiled from Thunderclan. Fireheart is named deputy of Thunderclan.
2006 - Firestar becomes leader of Thunderclan. The Darkest Hour takes place.
2007 - Firestar's Quest takes place. Skyclan is re-established in the gorge, albeit with very different structure from the Forest Four due to a prolonged time apart. Leafstar is made leader of the newly refounded clan, with Sharpclaw as her deputy and Echosong as her cleric.
2008 - The New Prophecy begins
2009 - the clans arrive at The Lake. Leafpool discovers the Moonpool
2009 - Windclan Civil War takes place after Tallstar's death. Peatstar [Onestar] is named leader of Windclan.
2010 - Leopardstar passes away and Mistystar becomes leader of Riverclan.
2011 - The Three are born to Leafpool of Thunderclan. Her sister, Squirrelflight, adopts the kittens and presents them to the clan as her own. In reality, Lionkit is the son of Leafpool and Mothwing of Riverclan while Jaykit and Hollykit are the kits of Leafpool and Crowfeather of Windclan.
2013 - The Battle of the Eclipse takes place.

-----------
A few notes to make:
Bluefur is now Blueflame
Tigerheart is now Goldenheart (I hated that he was named Tiger to begin with)
Squirrelstar becomes leader several books earlier
The prequels have been shuffled around a little bit in order to better match the cats ages in TPB
Leader deaths have been moved around a lot on the timeline. Some leaders live wayyyyyy too long
I added a large time period between Cloudstar's Journey and Mapleshade's Vengeance. The clans need time to forget that Skyclan existed.
Please let me know if I have made any glaring mistakes in terms of seasons -- I haven't re-read any books recently other than The Prophecies Begin, which I read a few weeks ago. I am mostly relying on my memory of the books, knowledge gained from tumblr, and the wiki.
I likely won't do a ton of work on anything past OotS, since that is the last arc I fully read when I was reading the books as a teenager.
A timeline for DotC through to The Skyfall will be posted eventually

I sent the character creator image again but if you don't get it this time pls let me know! I sent it via submissions jsyk! -birchsong
I was on mobile when I originally answered and it took me a second to piece together why you sent it twice. This is how I find out submissions are hard to find on Tumblr mobile-- either that or I'm simply still bad at using Tumblr mobile: both are possible. I have it (twice) and am working on the sketches to determine how to draw you. I'll post it when I'm finished, Birchsong.

Did i ever tell you about my au where when jay is forced to become a med, goose and freckle adopt him as in their eyes they're kin? It sprung from listening to charlie the unicorn's everyone is smiling stitched together with the repise.
Things like goosefeather transcribing all his prophecies because he can't change them but others can and jay has the ability to witness them all for himself when interacting with the transcripts, freckle chewing out bramble when he says that the three aren't his kin and says that yes they are wether he likes it or not because she sees them as kin and so does goose as blue adopted fire.... Actually i have a wip i found in my notes app
Once again coming with an au of mine
We start with frecklewish, dying in the med den, asking her father to please swallow his pride and get another clan's med to help her, but her father says straight to her face that it's better to die than be blind and because of that she's already as good as dead, frecklewish later succumbing to the venom. In this au she realized that the kits were not at fault and even stopped herself from yelling as much at mapleshade because she sees the kits are scared, but as only a warrior had no say in them staying, ravenwing also expressing how unfair it is for the kits to be punished. She grew enraged at starclan after finding out that kits and apprentices who died before becoming adults will never grow up.
We skip to goosefeather, in this au his prophecies can be changed and prevented from happening, however like the greek figure cassandra, he was cursed by starclan so that no one believes him. He gave up trying to convince cats and instead transcribed everything (which will come in clutch later).
nice au you have there, it would be a shame if I made a poster for it

Goosefeather - that’s my and Frecklewish’s son!
Starclan cat - oh you and Frecklewish are dating?
Goosefeather - nah we just coparent very well

fun facts about background cats in the isekei au?
Yippee, thank you for this ask!!! Love talking about these guys >:3c
Batears (She/He/They; Bisexual, leaning towards transfemme)
Doesn’t want kids. I’d initially planned for her to be infertile because, and I can’t remember the details of why, I wanted her to be a red herring in the book the story takes place of her being Frost’s kin (do not ask me to elaborate, I never wrote it down and I still don’t understand what I was thinking).
I’m wavering on the infertile thing for now. I’d rather treat it as just an aspect of her than some grand tragedy but I’d need to do more research.
Both her and Owl were pitted against each other throughout their lives to compete for the role of deputy. She ended up “falling behind” after the death of their father, she was much closer to him and the grief ended up forcing her to take some time to recover.
Big ass ears, her hearing is SHARP.
Her and Frostblaze have a solid mentor-apprentice bond. She’s straightforward and blunt.
The book they come from doesn’t give her much dialogue or appearances (hence her being inspired by the overshadowed sisters in Warriors), and she’s a bit of a wild card to Honey and the gang. She legit doesn’t know what to expect from her.
Loonsnarl (He/It - sexuality and gender undecided but SOMETHING is going on, maybe just apathy?)
Heavily inspired by Goosefeather, I feel that’s obvious lol
I wanted to take the “these events are doomed to happen” to the extreme with this guy. He is very much “this must happen and if it doesn’t, I will make it happen”.
He does everything with confidence, he says things with confidence, he acts as if everything will come to fruition. There is no room for wavering in the future, the path is decided and they must follow it through.
Splashpaw initially adopted this mentality after her first trip to the Mooncave…until something changed in her. Loonsnarl doesn’t always get along with his apprentice.
Hornettail (He/Him - Cishet
His main inspiration is Darkstripe and characters that will literally switch from being open minded to being wildly xenophobic from book to book.
The actual book they come from has it that it’s just bad writing. When Honey meets him, he’s just someone who will cling to whoever has the most power in the situation
The moment the pendulum swings out of his favor, he’s chasing after it no matter how pathetic he looks
Dawnstep (She/He - Lesbian)
Funny gal with a sick beard
Big bard energy, she loves singing and teaches the apprentice the best war songs (Honey finds the melodies catchy but the lyrics uh…gruesome)
In a butch4butch relationship with a SturgeonClan cat named Troutshine. (Side note, I think it would be funny if the territory was an ecological mess. Animals of all kinds just thrown in without care lol)
Fanon Lionheart is a big inspo for him
Sheeppaw and Elkpaw (she/her and he/him respectively, nothing decided yet but I like Elkpaw being transmasc)
Honeypaw’s lackies. She promised power and prestige when she ascended to leader and, as the more physically powerful sister, it was expected she’d be able to deliver on her word.
The two are insecure kids who were friends in the nursery, while it doesn’t excuse their bullying at all, they’re hardly evil masterminds.
In the book, they get a redemption arc and apologize to Frostblaze. In this story, I imagine it happens a lot faster when Honeypaw starts acting weird and avoiding them.
Childhood friends to lovers, I think it’s cute :)
Hollystream (she/her)
Duskflower’s sister, she was the one to step in and help raise Frostblaze when she died.
Her death still hurts her, the two were twins and very close.
While Beesnap definitely pushed for her daughter to see Frost as a rival and not a sister, Holly did the same. She also pushed Frost to go for the crown and in doing so, the two queens ending up destroying the potential friendship the sisters might’ve had.
Holly is quiet, subdued. However, she loves her goofy mate Mousesneeze and their antics, being with them has helped her recover in many ways.
I’ll probably make another edition in a bit but these are sort of the handful of cats I’ve got some concrete plans for. The latter half of the warriors in WolfClan need some fleshing out since admittedly some of them are just to pad out the Clan.
Thank you for the ask!!!!

can we have more big dovewing please
Tumblr media
[Image ID: Dovewing from the Warrior Cats series. She is large and somewhat dog-like, with a wolf tail and flopped ears. One eye is blue and one eye is green.]
Ask and ye shall receive, anon
Welcome to V2 of my Big Dovewing design; removed the spots and added some more wing-motifs, like her boots and cape. I also fixed her mane-- I drew SkyClan's mane on the first one, not ThunderClan's.
In the Bonefall Rewrite, she was born from Jayfeather x Poppyfrost, and raised by Lionblaze and Cinderheart. This makes her Firekin, AND puts her in the Bluestar family through Whitestorm and Sorreltail! Blue's family has a wolf-motif so I decided for it to show up here. I actually keep Goosefeather in mind when I draw her.
She's got a lot of burnout from being forced into the Kin of your Kin prophecy at a young age, so she's got stubble and eyebags. The ears flop over once she loses her hearing, along with her powers. If she was a human she'd wear hoodies and yoga pants

IM SORRY IM IN THE WRITING MOOD… Goosefeather and Cinderpelt thingy (TW: CHEESY ASF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😹😹😹😹😹😹)
Tumblr media
This little thingy does not interact with my au story much at all in the ending, i just need some grandpa goose-goose anywaysss enjoy my awful experimental!!!!
Goosefeather, a very old tom who sits in the elder’s den moldering away in his musty nest, awaiting his death that should’ve been moons ago—before Bluestar became leader! Not to mention, he should’ve been in Starclan to give his dear niece a life.
Why was he still alive if his destiny had already been completed? He had saved the clan.
He is bitter and angry and decided not to leave the elder’s den, besides only to go to dirt-place and eat, other than that, his eyes adjust painfully to sunlight every once awhile when he would leave—not used to the brightness after a long time.
Not until one of his daughter’s, Daisyfrost, has 4 beautiful kits.
Cinderkit, Brightkit, Brackenkit and Thornkit.
He goes to meet his new grandkits, before doing so making sure his fur is well enough to fit through the nursery without collecting a few more burrs and twigs in his messy dark-gray pelt.
He licked his daughter’s forehead and leaned down to press his nose against each of his grandkit’s heads. He suddenly sensed a future, for the two she-kits, was this a new destiny given to him from starclan? Was this his duty—to destroy his kin’s lives again?
For once in many moons, he felt excited, but scared… he didn’t want to ruin his granddaughter’s lives!
So again, he hid.
He hid from his daughters.
He hid from his grandkits.
He even hid away from his niece, they didn’t understand—these were his grand-kits. He would ruin their lives if he’d intervene in any way.
No matter how much Cinderkit found him interesting, he had to tear away from her life, as her grandfather he knew what was best for her and her mother—and he knew he would hurt her in some way by some vision he’s given his niece moons ago.
So, he passes on from sickness later on.. he declined his new destiny to destroy—because he didn’t want to fondle with his grandchildren’s lives.
Instead, he watched. He watched his dear Daisyfrost worry about her two kits Thornkit and Brightkit when they fell ill from the same sickness and watched her mate, Lionheart comfort her as Spottedleaf worked hard not to let these two young lives slip away like his life had.
But he also kept a close eye on Cinderpaw’s eyes glow with excitement as her new mentor pressed his nose against her head, Goosefeather felt prideful, puffing his chest out as Cinderpaw’s heart burned with fire while her mentor Fireheart promised her a fulfilling apprenticeship.
He watched her jump around in excitement, defeat her brother Brackenpaw in training, hunt for her clan, and watched as she ran across the thunder-path.
The monster’s roar fell silent as it disappeared without a care. Goosefeather felt his paws turn cold when Cinderpaw’s fire sizzled and she laid limp on the thunder-path with a crumbled leg.
She had a forever limp in her leg, and her blue eyes no longer glowed with pride or a small flame, it only showed sorrow and regret.
He finally understood his vision— he couldn’t fix this, this was a warning he and Cinderpaw had to bare, and he knew he had to stay by her side while she weeped or wailed in anguish.
He had to save her. There had to be some way he could fix this… he won’t let this happen to his kin.
He sat and curled up beside her as she stared at her paws, her mind clear and her eyes dull with nothing but darkness.
But It wasn’t until Yellowfang lit her flame back up and propped her back onto her feet she finally noticed Goosefeather beside her all along and decided to look up at the stars and speak to him that night she fell asleep.
He came down and talked to his granddaughter for the first time in her life, she looked into his eyes and they sat in silence for awhile, the silence thick in the air they both breathed in.
Cinderpaw finally cuts the atmosphere as she tells her grandfather she decided this is her fate, she’s destined to be a medicine cat. Goosefeather tries to protest but she stops him immediately with a hiss.
“I am happy where I am—I am proud of where I am, this is my destiny and I am okay with that.” She declares, her gaze clear and fiery as she connects her gaze with his.
He stared at her with a sudden realization.
This was never about him. He never interfered.
It wasn’t his impulsive words, it wasn’t starclan making her rush out to help a clan-mate across the thunder-path, it was all her.
She saved herself. She is the ruler of her own destiny he saw when he first pressed his nose against her.
Goosefeather’s couldn’t help but feel bitter, but proud as she accepted her fate with open paws, no matter how bad the circumstances she was once in.
