Random Arthur x Heaven fact:
As destructive and brutal as she is, Heaven pathetically and randomly faints because her stupid ass forgets to eat. Due to this, Arthur's reflexes have become even sharper than they already were: he spots the precise moment she's about to fall and immediately catches her, even if he's in the middle of a conversation or something else.

Forreal though, the whole thing with Bale is so insane.
Like this guy murders everyone. EVERYONE. And everyone knows it. Jin Man and the few people in the unit who are ACTUALLY loyal to him (like Pasin and... maybe 1 or 2 other people?) are the only ones who care and are against it.
Jin Man lied once. He won't do it again, so he tells everyone he's going to report Bale's insanity this time. He stays behind to save Min Hye... and then Bale comes after him?
Granted, he shouldn't have lied about what happened. But I understand why he did. With how little everyone in Babylon cared, I doubt if he told the truth they'd have sided with him. But that's my point.
Bale did NOT have to stay back to see what Jin Man was doing. He did it because he wanted a chance to kill him and whoever he was trying to save. Jin Man had no intention of killing Bale until he came after them. Pushed into a corner, he did what he had to, and he lost his shit when Bale said he'd kill everyone and everything around him if he survived.
But everyone's gonna go after Jin Man for lying and taking Bale out? When on the last mission Bale and Seong Jo killed a rookie for seeing the wrong thing? WHAT?! And I'm pretty sure if the roles had been reversed and Bale had killed Jin Man in that building instead, Babylon and the rest of them would've done jack shit about it. Oh well, collateral damage, right?
It's literally so fucking insane and shows how absurdly corrupt Babylon is. They'd rather deal with the mad dog because he's effective than the squad captain because he could be a liability for them one day (and oh, is he).
I hope there's a season 2. And I hope we get to see Jin Man absolutely fucking WRECK them all.

Jongin is in Busan enjoying his time, he went with Jrick whatever his name is anyway the back dancer/Choreo designer.
I know in a few hours my Inbox will be exploded with dumbasses saying "Oh he traveled alone without Kdoo they broke up blah blah blah" here I said it, don't take the pain nor the effort to do it. What y'all don't understand is Kadi live with each other they stay each time at one another's house, so they see each other all the time everyday, they travel a lot together, but Ksoo and Ji sometimes thrice or twice q year they organise travel trips with their squads, like how Ji in 2021 went with his squad once to Philippines and with Moonkyu once in 2019, and Ksoo went to Japan with Hyung Squad in 2019 and 2021 when he's back from military and again in 2023 he went to Hawaii alone and then again with his squad for GRBR Show. So in a span of 4 years Kadi traveled only like thrice with their friends which is normal and healthy! This is how you take breaks from your relationship to come back with new energy and new vibe. This is how you keep your relationship last for over a decade.
Because this subject was discussed long time ago Back in Summer 2021when Ji traveled alone with his squad and also this year when Ksoo traveled to Hawaii alone ( this was discussed in details he had a ticket to go with his Movie Cast after the wrap up party after finishing the filming, the production company gifted them Tickets to Hawaii and the cast all went together but Ksoo was busy so he went later on alone when he was attending the couple counselling sessions, so he took it as refuge to clear his mind this is when he met Park Shin Hye and her husband there by chance ).

This chapter took a lot longer than I thought it would
Posted below as well, but the formatting may be a little off
When Kyung-Hye arrived at her destination, a man taller than her with spiky black hair greeted her.
“Hey! I’m Hwang Dongsuk. What’s your name?” Hwang Dongsuk said, shaking her hand.
“Hello, I’m Park Kyung-Hye,” the older woman politely smiled.
“You said you were an E-Rank, right? We just need you here to meet the party limit requirement. Here’s the contract,” the man said, handing her the paper.
Hwang Dongsuk continued as Kyung-Hye looked over the contract, “You won’t get any essence stones, but you’ll get paid cash just for coming. Sounds good, doesn’t it?”
Kyung-Hye nodded as she finished looking over the contract.
As she looked at the group she would be raiding with, a voice got her attention.
“Hey! I guess you and I are just here to fill in!”
The older woman turned to see who was speaking to her and saw a young man with brown hair. He looked to be around the same age as her son.
“My name is Yoo Jin-Ho! I’m 22 and a D-Rank! I got recruited for this strike squad, just like you!”
“Ah, it’s a pleasure to meet you,” Kyung-Hye replied, caught off-guard at the sight of the young hunter’s armor.
Compared to the usual armor she saw hunters who raided with her had, the one Yoo Jin-Ho was wearing looked far too fancy for his rank. It looked brand new as well and, with his surprisingly optimistic attitude, made the woman wonder if this was his first raid.
She was about to ask Yoo Jin-Ho about it, but then she realized something as she observed the strike squad.
“Excuse me... Are we going in without a healer?” Kyung-Hye asked, turning toward Hwang Dongsuk.
“Yeah,” the man responded with a sheepish smile. “It’s hard for a private strike squad to get a healer, so we’ve always gone without one.”
The squad looks like it only has damage dealers and tanks, so the usual members should be fine. But will Yoo Jin-Ho be okay? It doesn’t look like he’s had much experience in dungeons.
Just as she was about to voice her concerns, the other members told them to hurry up and get ready.
Yoo Jin-Ho seemed to sense her worries and reassured her, “There’s no need to worry! You’re an E-Rank, right? I’ll protect you!”
  Kyung-Hye smiled, “Thank you.”
But she felt like it would be the other way around as the strike squad made their final preparations.
While getting ready, Kyung-Hye and Jin-Ho got to know one another more after their initial introductions, with Jin-Ho insisting Kyung-Hye refer to him more casually because she was older than him.
“Are your shield and sword brand new?” the older woman asked.
“Yes! My dad got them for me since it’s my first raid!” Jin-Ho replied.
“Is there a reason you wanted to start hunting?” Kyung-Hye asked, her brows furrowing in concern. It didn’t seem like the young man needed to fight to earn money like she did if his father could afford such good quality equipment. If anything, he seemed like someone to avoid places like dungeons, especially for someone of his rank and age.
It made her wonder why his parents allowed him to go on raids. She didn’t like the idea of her own children in such dangerous places. But she supposed if they desperately wanted to, she couldn’t stop them, especially because they might just end up doing it behind her back.
“Ah, it’s just. Something I’ve wanted to do since I awakened as a hunter,” Jin-Ho said, nervously rubbing his head.
“I see,” the mage responded, sensing another reason. But Kyung-Hye didn’t want to push the young man into telling her.
“It’s not something I would recommend because it can be dangerous. If you can, I think you should reconsider becoming a hunter.”
Seeing Jin-Ho’s smile starting to fade at her response, Kyung-Hye continued.
“But if you want to, don’t let me stop you. All I can say is to be careful and look after yourself first.”
The young man brightened up at those words.
“Don’t worry, Mrs. Park!” Jin-Ho responded enthusiastically. “It’s my first raid, but it looks like we’re with experienced hunters, so we’ll be alright!”
Before she could respond, the rest of the squad announced they would begin going in.
As the squad headed towards the gate, Kyung-Hye noticed that Jin-Ho seemed more anxious.
“Mrs. Park, the gate seems kind of big. Do you think it’s safe?”
She placed her hand on his back and gave him a reassuring smile.
“It’ll be alright. We’ve got each other after all.”
While Kyung-Hye felt the young man relaxed at her words, she was also nervous as it was her first time going into a C-Rank gate. However, it wouldn’t do Jin-Ho any good to be worried about what could happen instead of paying attention to what’s right in front of him.
Jin-Ho gripped his sword and armor, seeming more determined, “Let’s go!”
Kyung-Hye smiled at his energy and walked into the gate.
As the group entered the gate, Kyung-Hye began hearing something as the others tried to figure out where the monsters were and why the dungeon was so dark.
She vaguely heard Jin-Ho ask a question, but she put a finger to her lips and continued listening. Kyung-Hye heard a familiar rumbling sound but didn’t remember where she had heard it before. The sound and lack of light made her wonder what kind of beasts lived here.
After thinking about what kind of beasts lived in the dark and recognizing the noise, Kyung-Hye realized they were insect beasts. Not wanting to cause panic in the group, she tried to pinpoint where the sound was coming from quickly until she heard the rumbling sound getting louder above them.
“Beasts are coming from above us!” Kyung-Hye shouted.
The group was panicked at the news, but they were able to assemble to prepare for the beasts until the insects started coming down on them.
Kyung-Hye stayed near Jin-Ho to keep an eye on him and not have to worry about shielding herself. She began using simple barrier spells that restrained the insects, allowing Jin-Ho to attack them.
Despite his lack of experience, the young man was doing well in getting rid of the bugs due to his equipment. She wasn’t sure if it looked like he wanted to continue hunting in the future with how nervous he looked, but she hoped he wouldn’t for his safety.
As Kyung-Hye observed how the others fought against the insects, she could see that they had worked together often with how coordinated they looked. However, they were more aggressive than they needed to be and smashed the beast’s bodies to pieces with little regard. It made her a little wary since it didn’t seem like they just wanted to be careful in making sure the beasts couldn’t be able to attack them anymore.
As the other hunters collected the essence stones from the corpses, Hwang Dongsuk went up to Kyung-Hye. “Nice work back there. How did you know those beasts were coming from above us?”
“Oh, I just happened to figure out the sound was coming from above us,” Kyung-Hye replied. An E-Rank hunter wouldn’t have been able to sense such a thing, so it would be best to pretend it was luck.
“You have good senses. Keep it up,” Hwang Dongsuk remarked with a grin. “But I hope you don’t pick up anything unnecessary.”
Kyung-Hye nodded but became immediately alert.
“Unnecessary?” There’s nothing unnecessary to pay attention to in a dungeon, especially if a hunter is of a low rank.
As the other man examined some corpses the group didn’t kill, Kyung-Hye felt the atmosphere around them change into a more ominous one as the men seemed to realize something. It didn’t look like something good for her or Jin-Ho either. She moved closer to the young D-Rank.
“Jin-Ho,” Kyung-Hye carefully whispered so the others couldn’t hear them. “Watch out for the other hunters. I think they might be up to something.”
When she saw his eyes widen and he opened his mouth to say something, the mage put a hand on his shoulder to stop him.
“Just stay calm and be careful,” Kyung-Hye said quietly. “There’s nothing we can do right now even if something happens. If they attack us, we might not be able to defend ourselves. Let’s just wait for the right moment.”
The man nodded, looking a little nervous, but did his best to keep a straight face, and they followed the other hunters further into the cave.
The group spent most of their time walking while looking for the dungeon boss, encountering multiple corpses along the way. Although Kyung-Hye didn’t need to fight as she would get paid regardless, she wanted to help Jin-Ho out on his first raid. If she only used the amount of mana an E-Rank should have, it would still leave her with enough to fight in case something happened. Plus, she could level up a little even though she wasn’t doing much.
Jin-Ho seemed anxious after Kyung-Hye warned him, but she stayed close to him and made small talk with him to distract him. It wasn’t a lot, but it did seem to help Jin-Ho relax more, and he appeared to trust her.
After about three hours, according to Kyung-Hye’s watch, they finally encountered what looked like the boss’s lair, with thick spider webs covering the chamber entrance.
As they cautiously ventured in, the squad realized the chamber had numerous mana crystals. They mentioned how the crystals would sell for a lot of money and discussed how they would split them. Upon hearing their conversations, Jin-Ho turned to Kyung-Hye.
“Mrs. Park, can I see the contract you signed? I’m an expert with that kind of stuff.”
Kyung-Hye handed her contract to him, and Jin-Ho went to Hwang Dongsuk.
“Mr. Hwang, this is Mrs. Park’s contract,” Jin-Ho stated, holding the paper out. “It only says how you will divide the essence stones, but nothing about other goods. Is there a reason that part isn’t here? Should the crystals be split among all ten of us, not just nine?”
Kyung-Hye could feel the air around them turn more sinister as Jin-Ho spoke. As Hwang Dongsuk explained what they would do, the older woman listened while thinking of ways to safely get her and Jin-Ho out of the gate.
She didn’t want to confront eight other hunters because they had various skills and humans were far less predictable than magic beasts. Kyung-Hye also knew they were more experienced than her in dealing with other hunters since it couldn’t be their first time doing something like this.
Hwang Dongsuk telling her and Jin-Ho to stand guard made Kyung-Hye sure they were trying to get rid of them. There was no reason for them to stay here at all as it would only put the two of them in possible danger. However, the two didn’t have a good reason to refuse and stayed behind as the rest of the group went out to get the mining equipment.
As soon as they left, an avalanche of rock blocked the entrance to the chamber, making Kyung-Hye quickly pull Jin-Ho away from it. That only confirmed her suspicions. They were “lizards.” Hunters who take advantage of the dungeons to commit crimes.
“Mrs. Park! What do we do?!” Jin-Ho exclaimed while trying to break through the rocks blocking the entrance. “You were right! They’re trying to kill us!”
“We have to worry about that later,” Kyung-Hye said, looking at the dungeon boss, who began moving after waking up to the noise.
Jin-Ho froze at the sight of the boss as it looked at them and stood between it and Kyung-Hye.
“M-Mrs. Park, stay behind me,” Jin-Ho told her as he prepared to defend them against the spider. “I-I’ll do what I can-” Kyung-Hye placed her hand on his shoulder, “No, just stay here. I’ll take care of it.”
Jin-Ho started to protest, but Kyung-Hye cut him off by pulling him behind as the spider began rushing at them.
Creating a barrier shield in front of them, Kyung-Hye tried attacking by throwing disc-like attacks at the spider to see how it would react to them.
Seeing her attacks bounce off the spider helped her judge how tough the spider’s exoskeleton was, even as the spider began striking at her shield. It looked like she would need to get close to find a weak spot since she couldn’t pierce its shell with either her weapon or her spells.
She felt her barrier crack as the spider landed an exceptionally tough blow, causing her to reinforce it before she decided on a plan.
Remembering her new dagger, Kyung-Hye took it out of her inventory. Her new weapon had a feature that not only paralyzes the opponent but also make them lose one percent of their health every second.
Assuming the boss was at its maximum health and she activated the effect, it would be dead in at most one and a half minutes. All she needed to do then was stab a weak point and wait it out. That would be much easier for her to manage than attempt to fight it head-on when there wasn’t a healer.
Of course, she was nervous because she was still weak, but facing this spider was much better than those statues. She also knew Jin-Ho couldn’t handle taking much damage as a D-Rank, so she was the one who needed to take care of it.
As she examined the boss with her shield up as it continued attacking them, she saw that the eyes were the only part of the spider not covered by its tough outer shell, so she would need to figure out a way to get up there.
Or bring it down to her.
While she didn’t want to get Jin-Ho involved, Kyung-Hye was running out of time when she felt her mana depleting as she created another shield after the spider broke her previous one.
“Jin-Ho, do you trust me?” Kyung-Hye asked Jin-Ho, glancing at him from the corner of her eye while focusing on the spider.
Kyung-Hye couldn’t pay much attention to him but heard an affirmative answer.
“I need you to run to distract the boss by running to the other side of the cave.”
Sensing the young hunter’s hesitation even as she watched the spider’s movements and constant assault on her barrier, she assured him, “Don’t worry. I won’t let it hurt you.”
After a few more moments of silence, except for the spider’s roaring, she caught a glimpse of Jin-Ho running out from behind her barrier to the right of her.
When the spider sensed Jin-Ho’s movement and began going after him, Kyung-Hye released her barrier and ran to stay close to the spider.
It was a good thing I upgraded my strength and agility stats before.
When the spider started getting closer to Jin-Ho and picked up enough speed, Kyung-Hye squinted at its legs to find an opening.
As soon as she saw one, she immediately created a barrier wall between its legs, struggling to keep it in place as the monster tripped over it and crashed into the ground.
She ran as fast as she could to its head before it could right itself and stabbed the dagger into its eyes before running to Jin-Ho. She couldn’t make out his expression as she ran, but she focused on the spider as it began flailing around.
Kyung-Hye stood before Jin-Ho and watched as the spider’s movement slowed down before the boss eventually collapsed.
[You have defeated the dungeon boss.]
When she saw the message, she looked at her watch immediately to know when they would have to leave. She’s already experienced one person not making it out of a dungeon in time and never wanted to have such an incident happen again.
After getting the time, she turned to Jin-Ho.
“Are you alright?” Kyung-Hye asked as she looked over the young man.
Jin-Ho nodded but seemed shaken, most likely from being chased by the boss. It was understandable since the odds were not in their favor.
Remembering that Jin-Ho must have believed she was an E-Rank and did not understand how she defeated a C-Rank boss, she considered what she should tell him. It would be better for him to trust her now since they still had to deal with the other hunters who hadn’t returned yet. He could stop once they were sure that they were safe.
Thinking of the best way to assure him, she calmly spoke to Jin-Ho.
“Can you keep a secret for me?” Kyung-Hye asked him. Seeing the young hunter nod quickly, most likely out of fear, made her feel guilty, but she continued.
“I actually reawakened recently,” she told him. “But I want to avoid the media for now, so I haven’t retaken the exam yet. I don’t want people to find out until I’m ready. Do you understand?”
She was relieved at how Jin-Ho seemed to relax at those words.
“Oh, I get it! No worries, ma’am! You can trust me!”
Kyung-Hye smiled and gently patted his head, “Thank you.”
“Of course!” the young man responded. “You saved me! I would have never been able to fight a C-Rank dungeon boss alone! Oh! We should get the essence stones from the boss and some mana crystals while we can!”
“That’s a good idea. I can handle the essence stones if you work on the mana crystals?”
  “Yep!”
As Jin-Ho got to work on the crystals, Kyung-Hye sliced into the now-dead spider and looked for its essence stones.
Kyung-Hye felt the tenseness in her from earlier slowly fading as the situation became better for them. The only problem now was to find a way to deal with the other hunters when they returned.
Just as the two finished gathering the stones and crystals, there was a loud explosion where the cavern was blocked, meaning the other hunters had returned.
As Kyung-Hye observed them with Jin-Ho, it was clear that most of the hunters were surprised, while the others, including Hwang Dongsuk, were not pleased that they were still alive.
She watched as Hwang Dongusk spoke with Jin-Ho, telling him to kill her if he wanted to survive.
It was natural for them to assume Jin-Ho was the one to take out the boss since his rank was higher than hers. That means they will try to eliminate her at the very least to maximize their profits. But she had no idea what they would do to Jin-Ho afterward and didn’t want to find out.
Kyung-Hye had expected Jin-Ho to go through with it because it would give him the best chance of survival. She couldn’t blame him since he was still young, though she didn’t like how they were forcing him to make such a decision.
However, she was surprised when he positioned himself before her, holding his shield and sword out. Before she could say anything, the squad appeared to accept his answer and drew their weapons.
As the others prepared to attack him, Kyung-Hye suddenly got multiple notifications from the system, momentarily distracting her. Unfortunately, she couldn’t read them as she noticed the mage launching an attack against her.
She quickly formed a shield in time, which absorbed most of the attack. However, it still sent her crashing into the wall behind her, causing Jin-Ho to yell out for her.
As she took a moment to recover from the impact, she looked at the message from the system.
  [URGENT QUEST: DEFEAT THE ENEMIES]
There are enemies nearby that intend to kill the player. Destroy all the foes and ensure your safety. If you fail to follow these orders, your heart will stop beating.
Does...the system want me to kill them?
No, it doesn’t explicitly say “kill,” so it’s unnecessary. Ensuring Jin-Ho’s and my safety is a bigger priority, so I can figure out what to do with the other hunters later.
Kyung-Hye gradually got up and made her way to the others.
The system probably wants me to be stronger, but if it wants that, I can do so without having to kill people if I don’t need to.
She checked to see that Jin-Ho was safe from being attacked by the others. She didn’t want him getting hurt, but she also had no way of getting him healed if he did get injured. Although she didn’t want to kill anyone in the strike squad, she knew it would be harder to immobilize them enough for her and Jin-Ho to leave unscathed.
One of the hunters approached the older woman, putting an arm over her shoulders as he began talking to her, thinking she didn’t understand the situation.
Unfortunately for them, she knew what was going on far better than they thought.
Taking advantage of their position, Kyung-Hye brought her arm forward and reinforced it with her mana before striking the hunter in the face with her elbow, using enough force to knock him out.
Soon after, she saw the mage who attacked her earlier begin to cast another spell. Instead of blocking the spell from hitting her, Kyung-Hye swiftly created a barrier around the mage, causing the spell to backfire on him instead, rendering him unconscious.
The other hunters started to realize she was more powerful than she looked and began rushing at her. Kyung-Hye either dodged or blocked their attacks while she tried to figure out a plan to subdue the other hunters.
Her blade wasn’t an option in this fight because the effect would kill them, but there was only so much she could do using only her strength and mana. The remaining hunters were more on guard around her than the others, and they avoided her attacks as much as she did theirs. She only had a limited amount of mana left after fighting the boss and didn’t want to use what little she had left.
After successfully knocking another hunter unconscious, she suddenly became alarmed, not knowing how long they had been in the dungeon.
Glancing at her watch between attacks, Kyung-Hye saw that she had been fighting the hunters for a while and that they didn’t have long until the dungeon closed since she defeated the boss more than half an hour ago.
She tried to stay calm, even as she heard her heart pounding in her ears. She had to get Jin-Ho and herself out of the gate and fast. She didn’t have time to knock out the rest of the hunters individually, even if she were to use all of her remaining mana.
Remembering how the other mage used a light spell, Kyung-Hye thought about casting a similar spell even though she wasn’t certain that it could hinder the hunters enough for them to get out. The only problem was that Jin-Ho might get caught in it, and she didn’t know if she could warn him about it without alerting the others.
Blocking another attack from one of the hunters, she got an idea. She didn’t have time to consider other ways of getting them out, so Kyung-Hye rushed over to Jin-Ho, who was startled by the woman suddenly going toward him.
Not having time to explain herself, she covered his eyes with her right hand and used her other hand to cast a light spell, blinding the hunters.
Thankfully, the light affected all of the hunters who were still conscious. It appeared they were too busy keeping track of her movements to notice what she was doing. While they shouted at the sudden brightness and tried to recover, Kyung-Hye removed her hand from Jin-Ho’s eyes and grabbed his hand.
“We need to go. Now,” Kyung-Hye told him as the cave began to quake, and they heard a rumbling sound.
Jin-Ho nodded, and the two ran past the hunters to escape the dungeon. She heard Hwang Dongsuk yelling at her, something about a brother, but then she focused on running with Jin-Ho to the exit.
Her thoughts began to spiral as she didn’t know how soon the gate would close and couldn’t look at her watch. Kyung-Hye felt her heart pounding harder as the dungeon began shaking more. They couldn’t get stuck in a gate now. She needed to get Jin-Ho out first. They made it this far, so this couldn’t be the end for them. Not when she only just started getting stronger.
When they began to near the exit and rocks began to fall from the ceiling, she grew more anxious and feared they wouldn’t make it out in time. Kyung-Hye let go of Jin-Ho’s hand and shoved him outside the gate.
Narrowly avoiding a rock that almost fell on her, she almost tripped as she made it outside the gate just as it closed behind them, leaving them alone as they finally had time to calm down and recover.
Even though she was breathing heavily and her heart was still racing, Kyung-Hye felt relieved and was finally able to rest without having to fear for her life. She closed her eyes for a brief moment as she nearly fell to the ground beside Jin-Ho, who was also breathing heavily.
Looking at herself properly now that they were outside, her hair was a mess she couldn’t fix, and her clothes weren’t in much better condition. She thought about getting new clothes soon since it’s been a while since she had gone shopping with her daughter. Now that she could earn more money, she could get new clothes for Jin-Ah.
Hearing a notification, Kyung-Hye looked up and was surprised at what it said.
  (!) QUEST REWARD
You have met all the requirements to complete the “URGENT QUEST: DEFEAT THE ENEMIES.”
Choose your reward?
I guess leaving them behind in the dungeon was enough to clear the quest. I wonder why. Maybe it’s because there’s no way they can survive?
She hated the sound of that.
I wished there was another way for Jin-Ho and me to escape without leaving them behind. Hwang Dongsuk did mention something about his family.
Kyung-Hye decided to look at the reward later and check on Jin-Ho first, who was still next to her, calming down for what had happened.
“Are you alright?” she asked, looking over him for possible injuries.
When Jin-Ho gave her an affirmative answer, still recovering, she relaxed a little as his response alleviated some of her worries.
“You should head home. It’s been a long day,” the older woman softly said to him.
She wanted to walk him home but wasn’t sure how the young man felt about her after everything. She didn’t want to make him more uncomfortable and already felt bad for having such an awful experience today, especially for his first raid.
Jin-Ho nodded and gathered the things he brought out before heading off.
Kyung-Hye sighed, finally alone to gather her thoughts and see what she should do next.

IDEAS TO DROP BEFORE I FORGET THEM
1) teacher!seok x parent!jae
kind of inspired by this one wangxian au i read with a yuan being a preschooler but hyungseok is a primary school teacher, jaehye is The Problem Child (read: she never shuts up even when she's not meant to be talking) of his class of 7-8 year olds, jaeyeol is jaehye's older step-brother turned parent.
the jae sibs have a 20 year age gap so jaeyeol is around 28, jaeyeol's mom passed away years ago and he and kitae (blood bros) drifted away, hye is from another woman and after steve hong also passes away hye's mom is like Aight i do not want to deal with raising a child. and jaeyeol hates his father being absent all his life but he doesn't want hye to grow up in the foster system so he adopts jaehye even though he's a postgrad psych student (therapist jae!!! he doesn't talk much because he has the hex haywire voice and it's so deep it scares people but in reality it's just hot)
teacher!seok meets jae at a parent conference and he's like oh. Oh. this is the yeol-oppa jaehye adores so much. they start chatting purely bc jaehye is so chatty she's getting kind of behind in class and jaeyeol just sighs bc he's so busy at work he really wants to spend more time with jaehye but he doesn't have time and there's no butler in this au so it's just jae who's crazy busy and crazy rich by inheritance and hye who is a little demon and terrorizes every nanny bc she wants to spend time with her oppa!!
hyungseok is like if you don't mind... i could look after her until you finish work (school ends at 3pm, jae is a 9-5er) and jae's like Please. i'm so glad you said that
so they get a lot more private interaction time and they also coincidentally meet every now and then bc jaehye's harp class is close to the park where hyungseok walks his dogs so suddenly they have a whole routine where on the weekdays it's like
jaeyeol sends jaehye to school
jaehye picks jaehye up after work
sometimes hyungseok eats dinner with them bc hey, they're all going out to eat anyway, if nobody minds then they could all go together!
jaeyeol drives hyungseok home they say good night and they both kind of linger because nobody wants to say goodbye
and on the weekends it's like
jaeyeol sleeps in bc he finally gets a day off!!
jaehye smacks him until he wakes up bc wake up stupid oppa jaehye has harp class
jaehye goes to harp class and jaeyeol hangs out at a cafe and gets stared at for being the hot loner dilf sitting in the corner working on his computer
jaeyeol picks jaehye up from harp class
they meet hyungseok at the park bc he just finished going on a run with his dogs
they get lunch together because jaehye loves hyungseok's puppies LOOK AT THEM THEY'RE SO CUTE
jaeyeol's whipped the whole way through bc jaehye tells him Everything that goes on at school and he has never seen her so happy to go to school until her old teacher left and 'park seonsaengnim' took over as homeroom teacher and 'park seonsaengnim' is so nice to everyone and jaehye is actually Learning Things she just likes talking and when jaeyeol meets hyungseok for the first time he's already like Oh He's Hot
hyungseok doesn't realize he's pining until the very end where kouji's dad!gun (kouji is hye's classmate + 'archenemy') asks him out very bluntly and hyungseok's like wait. Wait. WAIT I'M SORRY I CAN'T ACCEPT YOUR CONFESSION I'M IN LOVE WITH JAEHYE'S OPPA
all the other parents (mijin and jinsung, sinu, etc) have a group chat without jae bc he looks so intimidating (the sheer businessman daddy energy is too strong) and they thought he and hyungseok had a Thing going on since the very beginning but no hyungseok is oblivious as hell and jae is shy as hell
2) winter olympics athletes au
if ao3 user agaybigay is here: hi. snowboarder jay go brr
in this au literally Everyone is there except for yujin's squad so you have
figure skating:
mijin + jinsung: pair skate, in love with each other but not dating, they've never medalled bc they're always 4th place, they beat japan's pride mitsuki and ryuhei out for third place in the fic
hyungseok: men's figure skating, aka south korea's national treasure, gold medalist
jaehye: women's figure skating, aka joy of south korea, youngest of the whole team
gun + dg: former multiple-time gold medalists, both retired now dg bc he didn't want to compete anymore and gun bc he injured his leg, they train the whole sk's figure skating team but mainly they just fight over daniel
gun used to compete for japan as yamazaki yuzuru but he moved back to korea to join korea team
snowboarding:
jae: silver medalist, the One Mysterious Guy who nobody knows anything about until his younger sister joins the team and she is number 1 oversharer. has a massive fanbase bc he's talented and his helmet hair is hot
haneul: gets a bronze medal in the year of the fic and it's her first medal, known for her very high jumps and flips like she's part of the sky
others
burn knuckles: luge. yeah. it was either this or curling and idk what's funnier actually
big deal + samuel seo: ice hockey, samuel is best attacker, jake is best defender, jerry is goalie, sinu is coach, lua is team manager
it's kind of like yoi with hyungseok pulling jaeyeol into a drunk pole-dance during the last national winter sports competition and jaeyeol being so gay for this gorgeous, sexy, absurdly flexible creature who fits against his body perfectly and hyungseok barely remembering anything bc he was so drunk he only remembers the person he danced with had warm hands and he remembers making a promise to that person but he doesn't remember what he promised
hyungseok has already admired jaeyeol for a while, jaeyeol is almost four years older than him here and it's jae-hyung's third olympics (he's 24 now and this is probably his last olympics), and hyungseok's always like wow... look at him... he's so cool 🥺🥺
they get to know each other as the olympics goes on bc they have to share the same hotel room, and ofc i have to bring the There Is Only One Bed trope in. they end up accidentally cuddling multiple times and then after watching jaeyeol snowboarding and ranking 1 hyungseok has a flashback like wait. Wait. he's the one i basically did a drunk strip-tease to. i promised him i'd kiss him if he won gold. he's now world champion. which means i have to kiss him. actually i have no problem with that
after jaeyeol wins gold they end up purposefully cuddling on the hotel bed. maybe they do Other Things too since the figure skating and snowboarding competitions are both over
3) he was a punk she did ballet but it's skateboarder hyungseok and ballet dancer jae bc hyungseok is too poor to afford after school clubs and jae is a rich boy forced to learn Rich Kid Things ie piano, ballet, violin, swimming, etc

Welcome to Samdalri
this is my review of welcome to samdalri kdrama.
review without spoilers:
Its a healing drama set in the coastal areas of Jeju where the lands meet the sea. Because of that there are plenty of scenic shots of waves rolling and underwater shots of fishes and haenyos. however the most healing part of the drama is the warm best friend to lovers plotline that has to endure separation, loss and misunderstandings. They're backed up by their wonderful power rangers squad ready to drop everything at a moments notice to help one of them. Its a refreshing take on friendships thats very welcoming. its a must watch when life is hectic and you just want to have a good time with a kdrama.
Now, about the kdrama itself,
This is the only kdrama of Ji Chang Wook that I've liked after healer. Healer was amazing and is easily one of my top 10 kdramas of all time. I haven't liked a single drama of his after that. not that he's a bad actor. he's amazing but his recent choice of dramas were not exactly my type. So I've avoided them like a plague . So I trusted Shin Hye Sun and started this drama and I'm so glad I did. I got reminded of how amazing of an actor Ji Chang Wook and rewatched healer at once. I missed watching Ji Chang Wook on screen, is all.
And, I think the rest of the casting is also perfect. Ko Mi Kyung as Ko Mi Ja absolutely stole the show. the side storyline of her friendship with Bu Mi Ja was not only relevant to the plot but also an important factor for me to love this drama so much. rarely portrayed well is female friendships in kdramas. This friendship is reverent to me. She is also easily one of the best kdrama mothers I've seen. I don't know about anything else but if i become a mother, i hope to god i am able to create a safe environment for my kids so they can confidently come to me to when they're having a tough time, knowing I wouldn't judge them and that i will try my best to help them with it, like Ko Mi Ja.
as for the storyline I loved the pacing. the main character is going through a very hard time in life where she is misunderstood by everyone around her. the drama takes its time to show us how she falls apart, repents and tries to fix things and when none of that works, how she gets gets over it, because that's the only way out. Not an uncommon theme for kdramas, the "finding myself " theme has been employed multiple time but rarely done well.
the romance plots of her sisters were also well done and my absolute favorite thing of all is that there were no shots of the second lead pathetically crying over her. Hes one of my favorite second leads of all time, along with Han Seo Jun from true beauty.
Im not sure of the official ratings but this drama was definitely a 10/10 for me.
definitely check out this drama if youre into stuff like
best friends to lovers
slow burn and angst
good female friendships
first love
happy ending
found family and original supportive family

the first show i watched with sjk was DOTS and honestly...i didn't get the hype. I got into kdramas with CLOY and my heart belonged to Hyun bin before i discovered jung hae in and others later. I found myself caring way more about the second leads and the bromance in dots and honestly neither sjk nor song hye kyo made an impact on me with their characters/acting. Sjk was playing a classic cocky male lead who was written a little too clichéd for my taste. I like my clichés a little off the mark.
But anyway, fast forward a few years and netflix pitches me space sweepers to watch. And I'm blown away. The acting, the writing, the fun ensemble cast. Brilliant. And then comes Vincenzo. AND THERE IT WAS, that i surrendered completely. The writing, the acting, the chemistry between the ml and fL MY GOD, everything off the charts!! It had me shipping them off screen and I've only done this with binjin in the past. I cannot. Joongki has soared to my top five without even me knowing. What a guy. He's been killing it in reborn rich and proving everyone who said he couldn't do serious roles with his baby face, wrong. And i am SOOOO here for it.
This same thing happened with me when i watched start-up too. seonho completely escaped my radar. I mean i loved his acting and his chemistry with halmeoni (it made me bawl) but i never was on the "second lead deserved the girl" squad. Then in 2021 i started homcha because of my girl shin min-a (my venus of daegu, I'd kill for her) and turns out im smothered, absolutely drowning in hots and love for kim seon ho. And now he is sitting cozily in my heart with that crown. There's something about me and discovering my love for oppas the second time around, hehe.
I am loving joongki in reborn rich (except the forceful fizzled chemistry). I love slow burns and i relished those in vincenzo and stranger. This...whatever this is, is not slow burn. It's mostly cringe and romance written just for the sake of it. It's unfair to both the actors and the audience. About to start ep 11 now and cannot wait to see where this rollercoaster of a revenge drama takes us all.

Korean Frankenstein masterpost (Act 1)
I’ve seen a lot of people ask where to find the Korean Frankenstein musical, so I’ve decided to make this masterpost. This will have links to youtube videos and be updated with links to translations as I find/make them. I’ll also be providing what context I can based on what I remember from having watched the musical once like 4 years ago. Since Korea almost always double, if not triple, casts their main actors and different actors have different takes there’s likely gonna be a variety of actors throughout the videos playing the same character.
Please note this will likely never have a link to the full musical as Korea has extremely stringent policies on recording and posting content
This is a link to the first act highlights and is the only video (I know of) that has built in english subtitles.
youtube
Overture: the intro to the musical, not much else to say
youtube
The Only Future: (translation in the Act 1 highlights video) Henry Duprè has been court martial-ed and was meant to face the firing squad due to his unwillingness to let those deemed “unsavable” due to their injuries die. Right before his execution day, Victor requests Henry’s presence and determines he requires Henry’s assistance in his project, thus saving Henry from death.
Park Eun Tae as Henry Duprè and Jeon Dong Suk as Victor Frankenstein
youtube
A Monologue: (translation in Act 1 highlights) Victor and Henry have been honorably discharged before finishing their project and have decided to continue their project at Victor’s laboratory. This causes Victor to be late to his engagement party to Elizabeth (who’s apparently been renamed Julia? But she’s most definitely supposed to be Elizabeth so I’ll continue to call her as such for familiarity’s sake) and when he does come he’s made fun of and ultimately decides to leave again, as his work is more important.
Lee Ji Hye as Elizabeth
youtube
Life in a Glass of Liquor: (translation in the Act 1 highlights) Victor’s in a slump because nothing has been going right in terms of the project so Henry cheers him up.
Min Woo Hyuk as Victor and Han Ji Sang as Henry
youtube
The Murderer: (translation pending) An explanation as to how Henry got put on trial for murder. Victor and Henry required body parts for their project and had enlisted the help of the local mortician. However, when they went to receive the fresh head/brain they required the mortician revealed the head of Walter, a child who had disappeared recently. Angered by the greedy mortician, Victor ends up killing him. Knowing the ramifications of this, Henry takes the full blame for both the murder of Walter and the mortician. Elizabeth and Ellen (Victor’s older sister) confront Victor about the trial.
Lee Jung Soo as the butler, Han Ji Sang as Henry, Lee Ji Hye as Elizabeth, Park Min Sung as Victor, Seo Ji Young as Ellen, and the Frankenstein Ensemble
youtube
Why do I: (translation here) Victor grappling with his need to help his friend versus his need to finish the project.
Park Min Sung as Victor
youtube
Park Gun Hyung as Victor
youtube
In Your Dream: (translation in Act 1 highlights) Henry’s been deemed guilty of two counts of murder and has been sentenced to death by guillotine. Victor has been trying to get the judge and jury to reverse the decision by admitting his guilt but no one believes him. This is Henry’s final goodbye.
Kai as Henry and Min Woo Hyuk as Victor
youtube
The History of Life’s Great Creation Begins: (translation in Act 1 highlights) Victor takes Henry’s decapitated head and uses it to create the creature. This is the revival scene.
Min Woo Hyuk as Victor and Park Min Sung as Henry/the Creature (Fun fact: Park Min Sung is afaik the only actor who’s played both Victor and Henry before.)

Pls tell me heaven has cuteness aggression towards arthur it seems very in character for her lol
You bet she has, nonny! Damn, you know her better than I do! 🥹🖤 100% true her brain goes: HUSBAND TOO CUTE. MUST BITE.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So yeah she has cuteness aggression towards Arthur and she usually expresses it with bites and nibbles, especially on the hands, arms, shoulders, neck, and chest. For instance, I can refer to when they are enjoying a quiet moment in front of the fireplace of the living room, Heaven all snuggled up in her husband’s arms. It’s when Arthur dozes off and he’s too freaking cute all sleepy that, suddenly, his tiny menace of a wife brings his large hand to her mouth and bites it.
She pretty much behaves like a little feral cat when she’s overwhelmed by his cuteness. With that in mind, poor lanky dude is never safe from being ambushed, tackled, bit, and aggressively hugged — which is okay because he does the same.

✞ This reply is related to Heaven in Your Eyes. An Arthur Shelby x You series.

The Good Detective 2 Review (Spoiler Free)
After finishing it, I still have no idea who thought we needed a second season.
Tumblr media
It is about the Incheon detective of the Violent Crimes Team 2 who will go up and beyond to find who is the murderer.
If you want to read the season 1 review: here
So nothing much changes from the first season except that now the team is closer than ever but I don’t remember much about season 1.
The plot seemed good in the beginning, it’s a classic murder mystery where there is a serial killer but it got us some action.
As a side plot, there were all the rich guys (felt familiar with the first season) and basically their abuse of power, and killing people.
But as soon as the classic murder gets solved we are only left with the rich people, and to be honest I don’t care.
The new characters were all the basic rich villains and it brings nothing more to the conversation.
At least have us get to know Oh Ji Hyuk more because we get to know that there’s trauma but it’s never expanded.
Or have a bigger conversation about how Do Chang feels like Eun Hye is pushing him away.
But rather than getting to know people who are centered around the show, we get just bits of it and you have to figure it out yourself.
We never even got to know what happened to last season’s journalist, who is the reason why I even finished the first season. I only remember her and Ji Hyuk together.
What I really enjoyed about this season is the humor. Yes, a lot of is boring but there are some good jokes that make it a bit lighter.
Our squad is the same as last season, so there’s nothing much to say, they didn’t really change.
Overall, don’t watch it. This season was absolutely unneeded, I just wanted to see Jang Seung Jo.
Plus the detectives are not that good, they come to the rich people and ask them for evidence.
5/10

Message From Hell:
13 volumes one day...
short summary:
[[ Nathan lives a relatively normal life with his adoptive dad, with the only exception being he can’t remember anything from before he was 8. It’s never bothered him, but when he gets attacked by a squad of angels trained to track down and kill demons, his life quickly gets turned upside down. Now having to not only come to terms with the fact he is a demon, but also that the leaders of Lucifer’s inner circle have asked him to join their goal of securing the throne of hell after the king’s sudden disappearance, he is faced with one difficult decision after another. ]]

No Love Left:
{NOT FINAL TITLE}
standalone, plays in the same universe as (two) other books thus far
short summary:
[[ Justin was average at school, average at any other hobbies he tried, average in looks, and absolute shit at making friends. His only purpose in life seems to be to create art. He was remarkable at it actually, so when he slowly starts losing the ability to create art, to draw or even sketch something, it comes as a crippling shock to him. It tells his story of losing passion for something that has been your entire life and future and how he deals with it. ]]
CATCH ME:

the only WIP i have currently that is told from two different pov’s
short summary:
[[ Aira Hye-Jin is an ordinary secretary except for the fact that she’s also one of America’s current most wanted murderers, the White Rabbit, a serial mass murderer that kills a large amount of people in a rabbit mask and escapes as fast as she appeared. Oliver Langston, her new... “competitor”, disguises himself as all sorts of people to lure and cannibalise his victims without leaving traces. After getting into contact through news reports, Aira, fuelled by rage, seeks him out to kill him. Oliver is amused by the whole thing and let’s her.  A twisted story from the pov of two killers intrigued by each other that go from enemies to partners. ]]

Mouse (2021) Ep. 11 Recap
Tumblr media
Ba-Reum acted on Yo-Han's voice in his head and killed Woo Hyung-Chul. Despite attempting to turn himself in, all evidence related to the murder, including the victim's body, had vanished. Meanwhile, Bong-Yi's anxiety is triggered by an encounter with Kang Deok-Soo, who begins to act again on a rainy day.
If you want to watch the series for yourself, stop reading! This post contains spoilers to the storyline.
In a large meadow, a young boy found Jae-Hoon staringat a bloody animal while clutching a knife. The boy took Jae-Hoon's hand and noted that the cut must be painful. He ignored Jae-Hoon's grumpiness and instead applied mashed up pennywort onto the wound for disinfection purposes. Jae-Hoon asked if the boy wasn't scared, as everyone else avoided him since the rabbit incident. The boy stated firmly that he would not leave a wounded friend behind. He also asked Jae-Hoon to stop killing animals. Jae-Hoon wondered why he was not like the boy and wished to be like him.
Tumblr media
Ba-Reum is currently freaking out about killing Woo Hyung-Chul. To add to his horror, he imagines Yo-Han grinning at him. Yo-Han asks Ba-Reum how he feels about killing someone, and Ba-Reum is shaken by the night's events. When Ba-Reum arrives home, he tells himself that it's Yo-Han's fault. The former doctor appears again and asks if Ba-Reum feels better blaming him. Despite his denials, Ba-Reum is still a murderer. Ba-Reum claimed self-defense, but Yo-Han knew he enjoyed watching Hyung-Chul take his last breath. Ba-Reum denied it and yelled at Yo-Han to leave.
Ba-Reum reports to the station in the morning to confess. Initially, Moo-Chi and the Violent Crimes squad do not hear him whisper, but they all turn towards Ba-Reum when he loudly declares, "I killed him!" A task force investigates the warehouse, but nothing seems out of place, and no blood is found. A colleague suggests taking Ba-Reum to the hospital due to the unknown side effects of brain surgery. Ba-Reum insists that it did happen. However, the team was informed that Hyung-Chul turned on his cellphone, and they were able to track his location. At the station, they reviewed footage of Hyung-Chul stowing away on a boat.
Tumblr media
Ba-Reum asked Moo-Chi if he knew about Hyung-Chul's involvement in the recent murders. Moo-Chi admitted feeling uneasy about Yo-Han's possible innocence, but after investigating, he confirmed that the murders were just a copycat. Soo-Ho was burned alive, but high schooler Kim Jin-Ah was burned after death. Moo-Chi had someone tail Hyung-Chul, but unfortunately, they lost track of him. The detective intended to inform Ba-Reum during his visit to the substation. However, after watching the video of Hye-Won, he became busy running around, which ultimately led Moo-Chi to discover the bodies of Young-Hee and Hye-Won. Moo-Chi observes that Ba-Reum appears to be desperately hoping that Yo-Han is innocent.
Tumblr media
Ba-Reum visits the hospital to check on Seul-Gi. Dong-Goo thanks him for his help. Although Dong-Goo didn't believe that Ba-Reum killed Hyung-Chul, he initially thought it was well-deserved.
At home, Ba-Reum receives a call from Moo-Chi asking him to report to the Evidence Storage team for work the next day. His head aches as he thinks about Hyung-Chul's death, but a meow reminds him that it's his cat's mealtime. Ba-Reum has not yet regained her trust, but he promises to never harm her again. As he moves the birdcage out of his way, the shocking memory of snapping Eo Bong-Yi's body and tossing her out of the window resurfaces. The next day, Ba-Reum discovers that the bird was found dead outside his window. Some children had given it a proper burial.
Tumblr media
Ba-Reum is now convinced that what happened with Hyung-Chul was also real. He heads to the warehouse. Upon pulling a tarp off a mound of materials, Ba-Reum discovers a scorch mark on the ground in the exact spot where he remembered kicking down a barrel of fire. This confirms that it was not just a hallucination. The question remains: who cleaned up the scene of the crime? On the night of the incident, an individual waited for Ba-Reum to leave before taking Hyung-Chul's body and meticulously cleaning up the area. While watching Ba-Reum, the man with the "OZ" tattoo on his finger calls someone and says, "I think he noticed. What should I do?"
Ba-Reum, determined to do the right thing even if he is deemed mentally ill, heads to the police station. While on his way, an elderly man trips, causing them both to tumble to the ground. Upon arriving at the station, Ba-Reum receives a call from a stranger asking, "Are you thinking of turning yourself in, Jung Ba-Reum?" Ba-Reum realizes that his phone must have been switched during the earlier collision. Ba-Reum agrees to meet the elderly man who somehow knows about the brain surgery and Hyung-Chul's disappearance.
Tumblr media
However, at the meeting place, he is knocked out with chloroform and wakes up in an unfamiliar location. The old man reveals himself to be Daniel LEe, who Ba-Reum thought was dead. Daniel deflects questions about himself and redirects the conversation towards Hyung-Chul, who everyone believes was smuggled to the Philippines by boat. Daniel implies that they only made it appear that way - Hyung-Chul did board the boat, but is likely dead.
The professor wants to know how Ba-Reum felt while killing him. Ba-Reum claims it was self-defense, but Daniel urges him to be honest, knowing that he experienced a pleasure he didn't know existed. Ba-Reum's brain is being slowly consumed by Yo-Han's. Now that he has killed someone, Yo-Han's murderous switch has been flipped, and the urge to kill will only continue to grow. Treatment will not help this addiction.
Tumblr media
Daniel suggests reducing his violent tendencies by eliminating the top 1% of psychopaths, which would save innocent lives. Ba-Reum only needs to provide their DNA for Daniel to confirm their predatory status. The police officer yells that Daniel is crazy and vows to turn him in, but Daniel points out that it's hard to believe without a body or evidence. Even if someone believed Ba-Reum's story about Yo-Han's brain merging with his, he would only end up becoming a science experiment. Daniel returns Ba-Reum's phone and warns him that if he ignores the urge, the time between his murderous switch flipping will shorten, and he'll end up killing his loved ones first.
The following day, Shin Sang discovers Ba-Reum in his new position while delivering evidence. Ba-Reum assumes that Shin Sang is going on a blind date because he looks particularly well-dressed, but he is actually a guest on tonight's episode of "Sherlock Hong-Joo", which is returning to the air. After grabbing an outdated bill in a plastic bag to buy drinks with, he received an earful from Moo-Chi. Didn't he learn from the coffee mix incident? The bill was given to Moo-Chi by a child named Bong-Yi as a retainer fee to kill a bad guy.
Tumblr media
The latest episode of "Sherlock Hong-Joo" concludes smoothly, and next week's episode will focus on sexual offenses against children as the one-year anniversary of Kang Deok-Soo's release approaches. Shin Sang, a child psychology major, offers to return as a guest and mentions that Moo-Chi was responsible for putting Deok-Soo behind bars and is close to one of the victims. Hong-Joo realizes that she must have been the person Moo-Chi wanted her to take in.
Bong-Yi's words reached the alcoholic mother, who sent her daughter Yoo-Na to live with her father temporarily. Yoo-Na takes her mother's phone and is instructed to contact Bong-Yi if she wants to chat, while Deok-Soo lurks in the shadows.
Tumblr media
Ba-Reum is called to Bong-Yi's workplace and finds her drunk. She cups his face in her hands, squeezes his cheeks, and pouts. Bong-Yi's boss informs Ba-Reum that an old classmate appeared and taunted her about a case, calling her pitiful, which led to a fight. Ba-Reum brings Bong-Yi back to her place and gently tucks her in. Ba-Reum caressed her hair but felt the urge to wrap his hands around her neck. He fought against it, but spooked by his own actions, he left in a rush. He was frustrated that Daniel's worods were ringing true.
Tumblr media
Bong-Yi wakes up and cringes in embarrassment, remembering her outburst. She runs out to bring Ba-Reum his forgotten phone, but he is too lost in thought to hear her across the street. At the crosswalk, Deok-Soo passes her and whispers something in her ear. Hong-Joo witnesses this while stopped at the light and runs out to help Bong-Yi up. Ba-Reum also sees this and remembers that Halmoni trusted him to take care of Bong-Yi. He decides to wipe Deok-Soo's spit with a handkerchief.
After escorting Bong-Yi home, Hong-Joo is accused of exploiting victims for a good headline. The PD clarifies that she is not there to cover a story and was only concerned about Bong-Yi because of Moo-Chi, who suggested they live together. Bong-Yi explodes, asking why she should do that. Deok-Soo is the criminal, so why should she keep running? Exhausted, Bong-Yi kicks Hong-Joo out and claims she will take care of herself.
Tumblr media
The next morning, Hong-Joo visits Moo-Chi to inform him of what happened and provides the dash cam footage. Moo-Chi is enraged, but the probation officers claim that Deok-Soo is acting lawfully and that a victim's restraining order does not apply to him.
Ba-Reum wipes Deok-Soo's spit off a new toothbrush and gives it, along with his colleagues' toothbrushes, to Daniel as a test to identify the psychopath gene. Daniel correctly identifies the toothbrush and warns Ba-Reum that he must be stopped. A psychopathic predator will commit the same crime no matter what and will only get worse as they evolve.
Tumblr media
Ba-Reum found Bong-Yi's case in the database and watched a video of her giving a statement as a child. She was battered from the assault. Bong-Yi was sent to get more makgeolli for Halmoni, and that's where Deok-Soo first saw her. Deok-Soo left before Bong-Yi. On the rainy night, Bong-Yi found an abandoned puppy and tried to help it. Deok-Soo attacked her. Ba-Reum remembers how Bong-Yi had cried about the puppy in Halmoni's arms the previous year. Moo-Chi saved Bong-Yi and arrested Deok-Soo. However, in court, the sex offender claimed that he was too drunk and would never commit such a heinous crime.
Tumblr media
Kang Deok-Soo received a ten-year prison sentence. The court acknowledged his reduced emotional and physical capacity. This decision made Halmoni extremely angry. Ba-Reum sheds a tear while reading about the situation, feeling upset.
Ba-Reum visits Bong-Yi to check on her. While thinking about what Deok-Soo whispered to her, "I think about you when it rains," she uses up her energy boxing. Moo-Chi remembers the young Bong-Yi who gave him a 1,000 won bill and decides to fulfill his promise to kill Deok-Soo upon his release. Both men go to Deok-Soo's place, but Ba-Reum gets there first. Ba-Reum watches Deok-Soo through the window. He recalls Dong-Goo mentioning that he thought killing Hyung-Chul was a good thing because the bastard deserved to die. Moo-Chi arrives just as Ba-Reum leaves.
The detective wastes no time and punches Deok-Soo, who feigns ignorance about why he's here. Deok-Soo quietly shares what he said to Bong-Yi that night. Whatever it was causes Moo-Chi to be even angrier than before. He pins the criminal down and sticks the barrel of his gun to his head. At this moment, Deok-Soo's mother gets home, and Moo-Chi gets locked behind bars.
Tumblr media
Deok-Soo pretends to live in atonement, so Team Leader Bok sends him home first. The criminal smirks at Moo-Chi before leaving, and the detective realizes he's been played. Shin Sang is asked for a favour since nobody will release him.
Meanwhile, Ba-Reum prepares for something, stocking up on tools like hammers and chains, dressed in black and working out. He waits until midnight to make his move. When he gets to Deok-Soo's place, he finds the convict foaming at the mouth with a suicide letter next to him. Ba-Reum brings him to the hospital. He believes that the atonement letter is proof that the convict has reformed and is not a psychopath.
The following day, Ba-Reum encounters his aunt who is struggling with a whining child. He learns that the child is his cousin, Hoon-Seok, who throws a tantrum because his mother refuses to buy him a cat. Ba-Reum treats him to some food. While the cousins interact, Ba-Reum's aunt watches from afar. Ba-Reum promises to show Hoon-Seok his cat when she gives birth.

Shin Sang visits Bong-Yi and hands her a taser, as instructed by Moo-Chi. He also informs her that he is in jail for attacking Deok-Soo, Bong-Yi discovers that it will rain this weekend and becomes anxious. Deok-Soo had whispered to her, "I'll come to your house when it rains." When Moo-Chi hears about the weather, he pleads to be let out, aware of what Deok-Soo said to Bong-Yi.
Ba-Reum arrives home to find that Butterfly has given birth. He grins and immediately calls Hoon-Seok to oshare the good news. Since his aunt is visiting "Jeju Halmoni" and the ajumma that Hoon-Seok is home with is sleeping, Ba-Reum decides to pick him up and gets his address. He finds it odd that they live in a different neighbourhood than he had originally thought.

Shin Sang heads out to film another episode but finds Deok-Soo's mother lingering outside the station. She apologizes for not raising Deok-Soo well. She also requests the release of Moo-Chi. Shin Sang hands the statement to Detective Ki from the Violent Crimes team because he is running late.
At the start of "Sherlock Hong-Joo", Bong-Yi purchases a new knife solemnly, and Ba-Reum picks up Hoon-Seok after leaving a note for his aunt. Shin Sang explains that the police force can individually monitor those who are not at high risk of being repeat offenders. Everyone is alert when a criminal is released, but after a year passes, people begin to relax and assume the criminal has been rehabilitated. According to him, this is the most dangerous time because they are waiting for the boundaries to lift so they can commit crimes again. Deok-Soo chuckles while hearing these statements and prepares to head out after getting a quick workout. Deok-Soo watches Bong-Yi walking home in the pouring rain, smiling. He receives a call from a probation officer who checks in and claims that he is just out at the pharmacy.
Hoon-Seok loves the kittens. He notes that Butterfly doesn't seem to like Ba-Reum, judging by how she hisses at him. Ba-Reum decides to cook a meal to change topics. During the meal, Yo-Han appears behind Hoon-Seok and tightens his hands around his neck. Ba-Reum freezes in shock.

The probation office receives notice that Deok-Soo's anklet is damaged and that he's on the move. This is breaking news. Bong-Yi, who was prepared with her new knife, breathes a sigh of relief, thinking that Deok-Soo ran away. She buys snacks from the convenience store and catches part of "Sherlock Hong-Joo". The shopkeeper tells her that Yoo-Na had been there earlier. Bong-Yi realizes something when Shin Sang claims that pedophiles never change and will always target children.
Ba-Reum fixes a clogged sink while Hoon-Seok pesters him to play. Ba-Reum's demeanor turns cold. Hoon-Seok runs off to play hide-and-seek, and Ba-Reum complains that he's noisy.
Meanwhile, Moo-Chi begs Detective Kang to let him out, claiming that Bong-Yi is in danger. He pleads with him to turn a blind eye and is willing to report that he stole the key himself. Detective Kang hands it over to him, but warns that he will lose his badge the moment he opens the door. Moo-Chi contemplates for a brief second before zooming down the stairs, past Detective Ki.

Ba-Reum searches while holding a wrench. As thunder rumbles outside, he sings a creepy version of the hide-and-seek song. Meanwhile, Bong-Yi enters Yoo-Na's home, where her mother is unconscious, and checks the phone that was left behind.
Deok-Soo carries a child on his shoulders. He had removed the child's anklet earlier that night using pliers. When Yoo-Na was sent to live with her father, Deok-Soo overheard Mom telling her to contact Bong-Yi if she needed anything. He searched for the phone number and sent a text to Yoo-Na, pretending to be Bong-Yi. The message claimed that Yoo-Na's mother was ill and that she needed to come home. Bong-Yi eventually realized that she was not the intended target, but rather Yoo-Na was. She reported this to the police. The officers responded to Bong-Yi's call, but Yoo-Na's mother informed them that her child was not missing, mistaking a pile of blankets for her daughter.

Moo-Chi and Hong-Joo rushed to Bong-Yi's neighbourhood, fearing for her safety. However, Moo-Chi's car crashed on the side of the road, and the man with the finger tattoo knocked him out from behind.
Meanwhile, Ba-Reum was in predator mode and eventually found Hoon-Seok hiding in the closet, fast asleep. As Hoon-Seok's phone lit up, Ba-Reum emotionlessly hit something repeatedly with his wrench while classical music played in the background.
Deok-Soo takes Yoo-Na to an empty field. However, Bong-Yi sneaks up and attacks him. The convict fights back, but Bong-Yi is unrelenting and hangs on for dear life. Ba-Reum arrives and Bong-Yi begs him to save Yoo-Na before passing out.

Following Daniel's advice, Ba-Reum attacks the pedophile to protect his loved ones from him.
