Hiiii! I wanted to ask what are some of your more out there headcanons? Like maybe this has no basis in canon (or just a liiittle bit of a basis) but you still believe it wholeheartedly?

I recently developed a number of headcanons that I really love about a character who has never spoken on the show (except possibly as part of a group chanting). I guess that is pretty out there! So I'm using this as an excuse to share my Hogarth Haber headcanons that I came up with while writing my Henry/Susmita fic:

-Although they are four years apart, Hogarth and Henry are really close, even closer than Tina and Louise. They both consider the other one to be their best friend. They love watching sci-fi shows and movies together (including all the Star Trek shows and, of course, Firefly), playing with action figures, and playing all types of games. Hogarth is the only person (until Susmita) to read all 17 installments of Henry's graphic novel.

-When Henry starts dating Susmita, it's tough for Hogarth. On the one hand, he is annoyed that Henry has someone else he wants to spend time with. On the other, he thinks Susmita is really cool and develops a bit of a crush on her himself. This leads to Hogarth acting up- he bothers Henry and Susmita when they want to be alone together, but acts moody and withdrawn when they actually try to include him. Eventually, he reaches a place where he accepts Susmita and sees her as kind of a big sister; often talking to her about personal relationships and emotional issues, which she is more insightful on than his actual family.

-Hogarth believes that Henry is the more intelligent of the two of them, but that he is more socially adept. This is accurate, but the difference isn't as big as Hogarth likes to believe.

-Chloe Barbash does the same flirting to get quiz answers thing with Hogarth that she does with Rudy. It just depends who is sitting closer to her in a particular class. Hogarth is more skeptical of Chloe than Rudy is, but he still tends to give her the answers because he likes the attention from her.

-However, the girl in his class that Hogarth really has a bit of a crush on is Harley. He really admires her outgoing, talkative nature and how she tries to be friends with everyone in the class. (I totally ship Harley/Hogarth now. The ship name is Hargarth.)

Just Wanted to Update My Touch Tank Idea:

I had this idea to do something with Tina as a creature from the touch tank a while ago. https://www.tumblr.com/qilin-crusader/697656683256741888/tacosandtouchtanks-okay-i-just-wanted-to-update?source=share I wanted to update it a little because I realized I had a better setup to include the entire echinoderm family for Tina, her siblings, and her friends (though I use friends loosely for some of them) Louise: Sea urchin by a long shot when I found out that sea urchins liked to wear hats (a sea urchin with bunny ears would be so cute X3). Not to mention urchin is a word for a troubled, street kid which fits Louise. Gene: Sand dollar because another name for the sand dollar is sea biscuit or cake urchin which fits him for obvious reasons. Jimmy Jr.: Starfish because of his passion for dancing. Jocelyn: Starfish for being blonde and popular. Tammy: Brittle star fits her perfectly. She tries to be a starfish but her facade very easily shatters. Also, another name for brittle star is serpent star and we all know why that fits her too. XD Zeke: Sea cucumber. The description Tina gives the sea cucumber in "Aquaticism" fits Zeke to a T. Also metaphorically speaking, a creature that spends so much time providing for other sea creatures and letting them live in their butthole while rarely getting anything in return also fits Zeke. Tina: She starts out desiring to be a starfish but insecurity over time makes her believe she's actually an urchin. Turns out she's neither starfish nor an urchin, she's a sea lily. Sea lilies without their stalks are also known as feather stars, so she could also be that but I like the lily one better because the phrase, "gilding the lily" fits her so well.

That's pretty much the update. I want to include Susmita as well, but I'm not sure which echinoderm to make her or if she should even be an echinoderm at all. I probably would make her another starfish because of space stuff if I want to keep with the echinoderm theme. I'm open to other suggestions though because I know touch tanks have more than echinoderms. I'm not even sure if sea lilies or brittle stars are normally part of touch tanks anyway? I just wanted to use them because they are part of the echinoderm family. lol I'm pretty set on all the ones chosen though and I believe fit all of them pretty well, I'm just stumped when it comes to adding other characters. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Update 1/12/2023: Adding more friends to the touch tank idea. Susmita: Hermit crab because it's cute and Zeke named one Saucey which can almost be a cute nickname for Susmita. So I rolled with it because I like hermit crabs. Henry Haber: Horseshoe crab because of his love of dinosaurs since it's a living fossil. Also, both hermit crabs and horseshoe crabs aren't real crabs so they have that in common. Darryl: Sea anemone because I found out that some species of sea anemones sometimes choose to sit on top of hermit crabs or sea snails. I just think it fits Darryl because of how much of a wimp he is. I think the idea of him sitting on hermit crab Susmita for protection is really cute. Rudy Stieblitz: Sea snail because I thought it fit him being the slowest runner in the world.

Courtney Wheeler: Starfish because of her being a blonde and also very stardom driven. Alex Papasian: Hermit crab because of that one time he wanted to run away.

8. What’s one unpopular opinion you have about the show?

Not sure if this is unpopular but I want Tina to still hang out with Tammy, Jocelyn, Jimmy Jr and Zeke as a group. Outside of her family she has the most interesting dynamic with the eight-grader gang. I love Susmita but she hasn't really stand out much as a character (i mean she's only in 3 eps so far so that's understandable, but I hope they'll find more comedy elements for her to become a more memorable character). The cool kids group? They've debuted from s1-2 and I find all four of them to be entertaining and enjoyable both individually and altogether. I know they're jerks to Tina quite many times, and have always been foils to her character, but they're not completely that ya know. They've been in multiple schemes and shenanigans (runaway club, sit me baby one more time, stand by gene, etc.) and it's always fun and amusing. They're still not really friends, but in those eps they still have some sort of connection. Kinda sucks that the writers just turned the gang into more boring kids as some tool for Tina's arc in more recent eps. I'm eager to see how her friendship with kids like Henry and Susmita go but I'm not willing to lose the old dynamic the main group had. It's not like they don't have potential to grow as friends and individuals either, there's some little spark here and there

Another small take of mine would be that I think characters like Henry and Logan are pretty fun? Like Henry came up with a whole scheme that's super elaborate, successfully eliminated every single candidate and became the school president. He looks like some typical geek but nooo, he's kinda a jerk and a genius! For Logan, i don't know he's just very funny. The only ep where I truly dislike him is the s7 one, other than that I enjoy every fun moment of him (go rewatch his rant about Freaky Friday it's so god damn hilarious)

May 17: Day 16: Friendships you want to see

I think I read it somewhere before and I think I talked about this before too but it is very correct: I want to see a friendship between Henry and Tina. Now, before anyone is like “why? he is such a jerk!?” I have to ask, what makes that so different from many of the other friendships in that show? Nothing!

Also people can change and Henry is very capable of changing. He even showed it! Anway...

Why do I think them being friends is a good idea?

They have similar interests: both are writing stories. They could give feedback to each other and inspire new ideas. They are also both dorks and both struggle with their emotions sometimes.

They know each other and care for each other: even though there wasn’t any romantic interest on Tinas side while they dated, Tina and Henry probably learned a lot about each other. Tina more than once argued in ways that would make Henry change his point of view, helping him to get out of his thought bubble. They probably share mutual respect. Then Tina was the only one willing to say words of comfort to Henry when Susmita broke up with him, showing that she cares.

There is already a good basis for their friendship: they have dated but Tina is not attracted to him and he is over Tina too. Tina was the one who helped Susmita to finally get it together to ask Henry to become her boyfriend (basically being the wing-woman). Also Tina and Susmita are already friends, which makes things easier.

They are not afraid to call each other out on their bullshit and can be honest with each other! That is worth SO MUCH.

The ground is already prepared and now the writers only have to use that potential!!

COME ON!!

Give Tina friends who appreciate her all the time!
