I’ve been playing the Seven Deadly Sins anime at work all day so I’ve only been able to catch 1/4 (tops) of anything that’s been going on. I’ve also never seen it so I’m gonna describe what I think has happened!

Meliodas is a bartender who gets attacked by some lady in armor, then gets attacked by more people, and the lady (no longer in armor) (oh yeah, and her name’s Elizabeth) is about to die, so Melodias uses his broken sword to kill some people

Apparently he’s part of some old gang called the Seven Deadly Sins, and Elizabeth is a huge fan, so she wants them to get together again for old times sake like that one Phineas and Ferb episode.

Meliodas says what the heck and starts out on a journey to find them all, immediately stumbling upon Diane the giant girl

While talking together, they all get attacked again and Diane is unphased by what’s happening so she yeets the guy super far away

Somehow, Ban joins the party (I missed that whole part). Yay Ban!

Ban gets in a fight with some kid while wondering off somewhere

Something with mushrooms and shrinking women, very fan service-y

They unshrink and Diane kicks some ass

Elizabeth meets her sister

Her sister dies in the crossfire of Melodias and some other guy’s battle where Meliodas is raging out

The kid Ban was fighting turned out to be King, but he lost weight(?)

Diane drops a mountain on someone

Some twink and his giant friend are wondering through a forest, admiring the birds

LITTLE BUNNY NO!!!

One of them is Gowther(sp?), another Sin

Gowther and not!Gowther split up because whoever is in the armor needs more armor glue

Some mercenaries surround armor dude

The Sins surround mercenaries

It’s all a Mexican stand off

Twink boy casually walks into the middle of everything, totally oblivious to what’s happening

Oh he’s autistic

Gowther shows up and gets in a fight with some important looking guy

Gowther puts him in an illusion but he breaks out and kills her. Transphobic tbh

King shows up and fights some fairy dude

Somehow Diane is a child now? Maybe she healed by reverting her age or something? Unclear

Fairy guy is also there, now friendly. And they’re back. No longer friendly. Another illusion?

Ban might be dead because I just realized I haven’t seen him in a hot second. Rip in peace

Some half purple guy shows up and is beating King like he’s the red headed step child

Meliodas shows up and gets beaten too, even though I thought he was invincible? And loses an arm???

Oh hey Ban, we thought you were dead

Now the important enemy guy (who I will refer to as Fabio because of his amazing hair) from earlier and is fighting the purple guy

There seems to be a lot of sexual tension between them

Purple guy won, so now the Sins are fighting against him

Gowther is back!! Trans rights 🏳️‍⚧️

I’m lead to believe Purple Guy turned into a demon, so now he’s EXTRA hot

Ben Kenobi tells you it’ll be alright though and that you have the force in you #you can come with him and train to be a Jedi just like your father was #you leave planet and on the way have to put up with this asshole smuggler and even free a serial killer just to get to the rebels #but it’s fine! because once you’re with the rebels you’ll then be able to train with Ben like he’s promised #except you get there and there are two other Jedi candidates. each seemingly better options than you #one is a child who already has pretty good control of the force without anyone telling her how to wield it. #she’s also young and thus full of so much more potential than you #and the other is a woman older than you. but she has so much more life experience. she’s proven herself worthy both to the rebels #and to the force itself. she is strong and basically everything you’re not #but that’s alright too because Ben knows you. of course he’s going to pick to train you!! but then they say your name Skywalker with horror #and you are told about who your father is and how if you are trained and given everything you want you will become just like him #you are evil and violent by nature even though you feel as if you are anything but… except maybe they’re right #because when confronted with this fact your first instinct was to attack an injured man on death’s door #and if Kenobi has his time taken up by training either kahki or Jyn/planning the destruction of the Death Star #Luke is potentially left in a very vulnerable state to stew #I just am foaming at the mouth thinking about it!!!! #(I do feel like Andy will ultimately take Luke in a more redemption/I am not my father by ‘righteous’ sacrifice’ route though #which also has a lot of potential to be delicious)

just remembered how in the sixth grade there was a fucking riot in the cafeteria that ended in the entire grade getting silent lunch for like 3 months

#I think it was 3 months but it felt a lot longer. my god middle school was the school to prison pipeline at its finest #on one hand I think its unfair that we were all punished but to be fair the entire grade participated in this riot. I don't even remember #what we were rioting? I just remember a girl named whitney was involved and 1 thing led to another and whitney ran out of the cafeteria #and THE ENTIRE GRADE WENT AFTER HER 😭. myself included I didn’t even know why either but WE WERE AFTER THAT BITCH 😭 #it was so bad I remember everyone was heading one direction and then everyone started running back the other direction. #and I got knocked down in the process looking back this was really dangerous. but after that we got silent lunch for what felt like forever #like not only were we forced to sit with our homerooms (and some us didn’t even like our homeroom) but we couldn’t even talk to each other #which is honestly not good for socialization?? but again I can’t entirely blame them cause the situation was out of control. #but also shouldn’t the adults have had that thing under control??? anyways the person who ran silent lunch was the vice tyrant dr levine #he fucking hated us like that man was PISSED OFF and he made it clear cause if you made a sound during silent lunch #that man was gonna threaten you with detention extended detention ISS (aka in school suspension) #he didn’t even mean it but it was pretty good for instilling fear in us good kids. but one time I remember there was a kid who didn’t buy i #he didn’t give into levine’s fear tactic and levine started yelling “ISS!! I’m going through my copy of The Lady Tars and this was just incredible.

William Brown (birth name is unknown) may have been the first black woman to serve in the British Royal Navy. While the book here says Brown served for 11 years as captain of the maintop (others say capt. of the foretop), there’s another conflicting account that has her rated as a landsman in the ship’s muster. The Times wrote about her and this is the main source that she was a foretopman. The paper also says that Brown intended to enlist again as a volunteer and it’s completely plausible she did. However, it’s completely unknown either way. What is known indisputably is there was a young black woman from Granada going by the name of William Brown serving on the H.M.S. Queen Charlotte in 1815.
