..Bruh. Where have you been for the last 4 months?? Scroll down on my blog for like 3 seconds. You’ll find dozens of posts talking about my FNAF AU. AAAAA that’s so cool! Having no dead kids in the story is really refreshing! (something I never thought I’d type-) Also I love their designs! Especially Foxy’s, seeing him so tall is different to me, but cool! XD
XD You can always count on me to jump fandoms at the perfect time! Also oh man, that’s a tough one. I’m really torn between Engineer and Soldier.
On one hand you have Engineer. He has so many things I love in a character. He’s a tough Texan that has a healthy dosage of southern hospitality. He has total dad vibes. I love the way he interacts with the other characters as well. Like in Expiration date, taking off his helmet to show some respect to his team as he gave them the grim news. Also being mostly gentle about how he worded the news as well. He spent what he thought was his last 3 days on Earth, helping Medic to try and find a cure, overall just working in his last hours to try and help his team. Even when it should have been pretty hopeless.. Also the way he bursts into the room, “Guys! Hey, Fellas! Listen! Its just bread that gets tumors! :DD” Tossing his arms over Soldier and Medics shoulders and smiling with them, UHG he’s so cool.
I also love all the headcannons people have made about his character. A lot of people, me included, like to think that engineer cooks breakfast for the team sometimes. Eggs, Bacon, pancakes, you name it. I also love the thought that after a rough battle, where they lost and the whole team is cranky and aching. Engie goes out and fires up the grill and makes everyone some good food as a pick me up. Burgers and hotdogs, shish kabobs and sandwiches, just MAN. Such a fun idea and such an awesome character.
His design is also really fun to me. Overalls and googles, with a hard hat that’s slightly crooked. And of course his wicked gunslinger that’s kept under wraps. Not sure why he covers it up, its awesome! ALSO His dialogue in the game is a real hoot, I also like his GAME PLAY. Although I’m a pretty lousy Engineer myself, I love the idea of being able to support my team the way he does. People can fall back and be fully protected by the Engineer. A sentry to keep you safe, a dispenser to replenish your ammo and health. And a kind hearted man to pat you on the shoulder and say, “You alright son? Here, take a seat for a while. You can get back out there when yer ready. I’ll keep an eye on you till then.” like OUHG, so much fun. I absolutely adore everything about his character.
On the other hand, there’s Soldier. He is so unbelievingly stupid, so mind blowingly absurd, and so incredibly big hearted and ridiculous. His antics and overall hilarity have brought me to tears multiple times and never fail to make me smile.
I don’t think I have a super gushy, character analysis-y reason why I like him so much. He’s just really funny, his character is so fun and ridiculous and he always makes me laugh. So that’s why its so hard to pick between Engie and him-
Sorry, I dumped that comic long ago.. but who knows? Maybe someday I’ll feel inspired and come back to it. My hyper fixations have been known to be quite unpredictable-

All I’m hoping for is that they make it scary.
I want little kids to come into this movie chanting “FNAF! FNAF! FNAF! :DD” And run out screaming and crying moments later.
FNAF at its core, is a disturbing story. With gruesome themes and horrible tragedies and disgusting people. It is not meant for kids. I feel like FNAF recently has been really dumbed down and kid-ified. Which makes me kind’a sad..
I tried not to let that rub off on my AU. It may be light hearted for now, but the truth about the past and the disturbing story of William will not be buried for long..

He, himself is already have a pretty messed up sleeping schedule. He doesn't want his lover also following his steps, but as much as he wants to tell you to rest, he often end up reflecting upon himself. It made him frowned for a moment, and because of that it took him quite awhile for him to finally confront you about your state, he is worried about you and your health after all.
He have seen you working through late nights, and barely getting any brink of sleep, there are also time when you didn't go to sleep at all. And it made him worry about you much more, even concerned. He had been trying to confront you about it, but he doesn't know how to say it without sounding rude. It took him almost a few days to courage himself to finally spoke up to you about it.
And today is the day,
He knocked on your door, you were working on some papers on the table. "Babe??" He called out behind the door, "Yeah?" You replied a bit loud. Face still on the paper in front you, you then heard the door getting twisted gently by the hand of your Beloved Sorcerer.
"Hey, babe.. You're still not done?" He slowly approached you, "It's, pretty late y'know.." he said as he look at the clock on the wall in your room. After he mentioned it, you also look over at the clock. That tells you it's already, 2 am.
You blinked and look down on the messy papers that's spread out on the floor, "It's, that, late already??" You said not realizing how late it is. "Hmm, I, need to finish this in a bit. You can--" "Babe, I don't want to sound rude, but, y'know, i noticed you have barely take enough sleep" he cuts you off in the middle of your sentence, you stared at him in awe.
"I know I, have a pretty messy sleeping schedule myself, but I am willing to fix it. Together, y'know?" He shyly said as he unconsciously fiddling with his hands before scratching the back of his neck sheepishly, "Shu.." you whispered and slowly stood up and approached him.
You wrapped your arms around him, you feel bad about not taking care of yourself properly, you also feel bad for not being able to take care of him too.
Both of you are in a messy state, and you know very well that both of you need to fix this.
"So, babe.. Come, and rest with me.."
His gentle hands moved to your cheek, gently rubbing his thumb along. Smiling down at you, he leaned and kisses you on the lips. "Well?" He whispered, expecting an answer from you.
What will you say to this unintentionally pleading Sorcerer?
You won't decline his request do you?

"You can go first Mysta, I'll join you later"
That's what you said, and he actually did go to bed first, expecting you to be there when he woke up either in the morning or in the middle of the night. Seeing your figure sleeping peacefully next to him, oh, how wrong he was.
Later that night, He woke up, only to see an empty side of the bed. He expected you to lay there with him, but no. You're not there, he groggily grabbed his phone and check the time. "What the.." his brows furrowed as he stare at the time on his phone for another minute, he then frowned, staring at the ceiling before letting out a small sigh.
He slowly rise up from the bed and went to where he could think where you're at, and you're exactly at where he expected you to be. He opened the door, and leaned against the door frame, staring at you in silence. "How, long are you going to sit there?" He announced himself by asking the question, making you slightly jump from your seat, "I thought you're going to join me a few hours ago." He continued as he slowly approached you.
"You know you can continue it in the morning right," he trailed off as he look over to see what you're working at, "I also noticed how you've barely getting any sleep nowadays babe." He continued as he look at you, worried. "You need a rest too, come on now." He said as he gently pull your hand, "Come, and rest with me.."
You sighed in defeat, he's right, you have been putting up all nighters the past few days trying to finish the work. You've barely getting any sleep, and you can bet yourself the moment your head hit the pillow you're going to pass out.
"Babe?" He called you as he held your hand a bit tighter, you can hear the worry in his voice, "Yeah, sorry-" you trailed off, "I'm sorry, for, making you worried." You apologized, making him slightly taken aback by it. "Why are you apologizing, there's nothing for you to apologize for.." he said as he then slowly wrapping his arms around you, you both stayed like that for a while before he decided to pull away.
He look at you for a moment, and then within seconds he pecked your lips, he immediately look away, flustered at what he just did. "N-now come on, let's go to bed"
You chuckled softly and walked together with him to your shared bedroom, "Cutie" "Shush.."
What a cute detective you have..

Why do you (personally) think so many Steve fans loathe the idea of him becoming a dad? becoming a parent is the only dream we know he has, but it's thrown in the trash in most fics. I keep reading about steve being childless by choice, because the party is enough for him, which I really don't get, they're only 4 years younger than him, their relationship is brotherly, not parental, and they have their own parents who raised them. I love found family, but it's not the same as raising children
Oooh. Anon you are so bold giving this to me, a person who has an elaborate studio era lavender marriage au where Steve and Robin just. Get adopted by children who break into their house AND one where Steve becomes brotherdad to his half sister. A person who clearly also doesn't know why people have future!Steve childless. Man attracts kids like the pied piper.
But let me try. I have some ideas.
First off there's less space between Steve and Dustin than me and my little sister, but more than me and my big brother, so I can for sure say, you definitely become more friends less caretakery with your siblings once you/they are not fourteen. Still protective though. Maybe many people writing those don't have close sibling relationships with moderate age gaps? Like, there's a point where you feel comfortable letting your little sibling do mostly whatever, because they're big, but you're not gonna let them get hurt if you can stop it. There's also never a point where you stop looking at your older sibling to help you. That doesn't mean my big brother is like my dad?? It's very different, and that's important!! The Party for sure has a sibling-like relationship with Steve, especially Dustin, and Max, and I'd say Lucas (he has a little sister, but no older sibling, and Steve and Erica are scoops troop bonded so. Bonus brother for Lucas!)(will and Mike have their own older siblings. El and Steve interaction WHEN!!!!) and they all have actual parents. So yeah. Steve has a gaggle of little siblings he'd fucking die for, and his kids are going to have so many uncles/aunts/non-binary sibling of parent (there is no good word for that)
So. I think it's possible that because a lot of people headcanon Steve as queer, that immediately makes "having kids" a bit more complicated given the state of things for queer folk in the 80's. That's fair.
With that, possibly people sort of...transfer Steve wanting kids and a big family to working with kids. Which isn't that big of a leap for Steve! He obviously does well with the Party and Erica, and he canonically worked as a lifeguard, which almost definitely means he taught swimming too! (Small pool def wanted duel certs. Trust me). He likes kids, works well with them, and wants them. These are three things that are separate, but blend well with each other.
However I don't really agree. Obviously being parents was harder for gay/queer people in the eighties, especially men. But it wasn't unheard-of! I think saying that because he's queer and in a relationship with a man in the eighties that he'd have to give up on his dream of being a dad is rude. There would be obstacles but, really, I think Steve would see it as totally worth it.
Another reason I think people don't want to give future Steve kids is. Listen it's been a while since I saw it but. His little speech was pretty embarrassing. Mostly because it was to Nancy. And that he followed up on the way to vecna and said he thought it would be her there too... Literally any other character would have made it not awkward, but because he and Nancy haven't talked about anything other than the upside down since season 2, it was awkward and bad. If it was ANYONE ELSE it would have been so cute (it still kinda is just. Ignore that they tried to give stancy development without actually giving them development) like if Robin was there? If Dustin or Max? Erica? Lucas? Were sitting in that seat, it'd be Steve sharing a dream of a big family he had, trying to lighten the mood, of opening up to people he cared about. They'd tease him, but the implication of him wanting them there as well would be clear and very cute. Adorable.
Because those are characters that don't have the same baggage in their relationship with Steve, but the six nuggets speech was made to Nancy so immediately it's already a bit off for people who want the characters to actually, y'know, talk about the past and move forward from it. Nancy and Steve's relationship is so messy and interesting and if they wanted me to get into actually rooting for it then maybe they should have an actual conversation about it!! And have Nancy break up with Jon before!! Not just half dreams of the future while her bf isn't there!
People also try to use it as saying Steve assumed Nancy would? Just be a Sahm? Or something? When that was never the implication? Maybe Nancy would have interpreted it that way, but I didn't. Steve wanted a big family who spent lots of quality time together having adventures. Six kids is a lot, but I betcha if Steve thought that much about having that many kids and road tripping to the ocean, he was probably imagining being the primary caretaker of those lil nuggs. He was daydreaming about first day of kindergarten and tearing up for real I know it.
Also I think people are cowards if they don't think Robin and Steve would get convenience married and adopt a couple kids even tho Robin is slightly terrified of toddlers (they are fast and they BITE) and Steve would be Robin's trophy husband who's a stay at home dad that wages physiological suburban warfare by being a Wife Guy and the envy of all early nineties housewives.

So basically I'm back to request something 😀 yeah after being gone for 2 weeks, I'm finally ready to simp for gunil (have to take baby steps with Jun han or else I'll freak out again)

It was pretty typical for you and Jiseok to pick on each other while you were gaming. While you wouldn’t really consider yourself close with him, it was still something the two of you liked to do.
“Wooooow, Jiseok,” you teased. “You really suck at this game!”
“At least I’m not as bad as you!” He argued. The two of you were three games into a heated Smash Bros. session, and you were currently beating him 2-1. As you were about to start a new round, Gunil entered the room.
“Hey guys,” he said with a smile. “What game are you playing?”
“Oh!” You felt your cheeks heat up. Just his presence alone was enough to make you flustered. “I’m just kicking Jiseok’s ass at Smash again.”
“Shut up, (Y/N)!” Jiseok joked, “I just needed to warm up a bit.”
Gunil laughed, “Sounds fun! You guys mind if I join you?”
“Grab a controller,” Jiseok waved Gunil over, and he took a seat next to you on the couch. “We were just about to start a new game.”
You all picked your characters and the game began. As always, the bantering started again as well. At one point, Jiseok beat Gunil, which made Gunil his newest target for jokes.
“Damn, Gunil, you need to step up your game!”
“Hey!” You intervened, “He’s trying his best!”
“Well,” Jiseok laughed, “he’s not trying hard enough.” Both Gunil and Jiseok were laughing at this point. They both knew the joke was lighthearted, and Gunil knew he was bad at the game anyway. You, however, couldn’t seem to shake the feeling that Jiseok was being rude.
“Dude! Just leave him alone!” You used your newfound anger to beat Jiseok, ultimately winning the round.
“(Y/N),” Gunil said calmly. “It’s okay. It’s just a joke.”
“Yeah, it’s alright,” Jiseok joined, also sounding calm. “I wouldn’t actually be rude to him.”
“Well he didn’t deserve that!” Jiseok gave you a confused look following your little outburst. “It’s funny when you do it to me, but you don’t have to do it to him!” Jiseok clearly didn’t know how to handle this situation. He looked to you, then to Gunil, and back to you again.
“You’re right,” he admitted. “My bad. I think I’m done playing for now. If you guys want me to join again,” Jiseok rose from the couch, “just let me know.” With that, Jiseok quickly made his way down the hall to his room.
“Hey,” Gunil put a hand on your shoulder. “It was alright. He was just picking on me. I wasn’t offended.”
“But…” Gunil had been one of your only friends for a while now, so you cared about him deeply. He had introduced you to Jiseok, but you still felt the need to protect him from his antics. “You don’t deserve to be treated that way…”
“It’s alright,” Gunil reiterated. “You don’t have to worry. I can take the jokes, okay? I’ve been putting up with Jiseok’s jokes for long enough,” Gunil laughed.
“Okay,” you gave him a shy smile. “As long as you’re sure.”
“I’m sure,” he smiled back.
“But if he ever hurts your feelings you let me know!”
Gunil laughed again, “I doubt that will happen, but you’ll be the first person I call.”
“Good.” You gave Gunil a quick hug, which he gladly returned. “Do you want to keep playing?”
“Sure,” Gunil picked up his controller. “Let’s call Jiseok back in and we can all play together again, okay?”
“Okay!”

You should definitely write Garrus reacting to Shepard with dyed blue hair, like he walks into her quarters and suddenly sees her with blue hair, I think he would worry thinking she's sick -like what does blue mean in your human girlfriend? - and then Shepard explaining, it would be fun. If you don't feel comfortable writing it you don't have to, just an idea that occurred to me while looking at the post. PS: I loved the drawing, you really draw well❤️PS 2: I like the ideas of the pirate AU ;)

"Hey, honey, I'm home!" Shepard calls out.
Garrus smiles immediately, prepared to hug her as soon as she comes into his view, but stops when he sees her.
"Shepard...?" He clicks his mandibles, surprised.
He almost doesn't recognise her.
Her usually flame-red hair is a dark shade of blue now which not only looks unnatural but also unnerving. She's acting as though nothing is wrong... Does she not know? He has no idea how to ask about this. What does sudden colour change mean in humans? Is she sick? Will this go away on its own or should they do something about it? And would it be rude to ask?
Hesitantly, he takes a small step in her direction.
"Are you alright?"
Shepard blinks — clearly, that's not the question she was prepared to hear.
"I, uh... Yeah, I'm fine." She tilts her head. "You... didn't notice anything new?"
"Your, uh..." Garrus feels his throat run dry as he vaguely waves his hand at her head. He's not sure if pointing this out wouldn't offend her. He has no idea how to act in this situation. Really, what did this mean? "Your... hair... is different," he manages to stutter out eventually.
Shepard smiles.
"Do you like it?"
"I, ah..." Garrus stares at her like she was a fool. Or perhaps he's the fool here, because his brain is working extremely slowly right now. "You... did this? On purpose?"
"Oh, wow. Does it look that bad?"
"No, no, you just—!" Garrus shuts his eyes. Yeah, he could have worded that a bit differently. "You look different. I... had no idea you can just... change it."
It's actually making him wonder if the red he's always associated with her was her natural colour in the first place. He'd never seen another human with red hair like Shepard's.
"Can I ask... why?"
Shepard purses her lips. "I wanted a change," she says quietly. "The world is changing, Garrus. I don't feel like I have the same place in it as before. And, well, blue is pretty much the opposite of red. Which is..." Her smile falls. "...important to me."
Garrus narrows his eyes. So Shepard's trying to rebrand herself for times of peace... And probably trying to escape her past. People recognise her by that flame red hair as if it's some damn trademark or something. And Garrus knows perfectly well how Shepard feels about being recognisable. It's no wonder she would want to take that distinguishing feature away, really. It's not a big stretch. But then why not a less conspicouos colour? Surely a blue-haired human would still stand out from the crowd. And he thought that wasn't what she wanted.
"Why blue?"
"I like blue." She gives him a small smile as her hand strokes his mandible. "Actually, it might be my favourite colour these days."
"Always know what to say, huh, Shepard?" Garrus's words are a rumbling purr, laced with amusement that rings through even over his subvocals.
She gives him a cocky smirk.
"Don't I? Besides, I wanted it to..." She blushes a deep shade of red that contrasts with the blue of her hair in a strange way. "Um... Well... I thought this colour could... match your colony markings." She quickly looks away.
"Ah." Garrus clears his throat, not sure how else to react. "So it does."
Of course. That's it. He curses himself for not recognising that colour earlier: he sees it in the mirror every day.
His colour.
His blue. Her red. It always felt like they swirled around each other with those colours clashing around either on their bodies, their clothes, or their armour. They never merged, there had never been purple in their relationship. It had always been a wonderful clash of red and blue, of Shepard and Vakarian.
So seeing Shepard in blue, his blue, right now is messing with his head completely. He's not even sure if it's in a good way or not. It's not hers. At least he doesn't think it is. It's always been his, and that breach of the line that separated them is making his plates itch.
"Are you mad?" Shepard wrinkles her forehead. No doubt she's trying her best to read his emotions. He's trying to read them, too.
"Mad?" He scrunches up his nose. "No, I'm not mad. Surprised? Yeah. But not mad."
"Do you like it?"
"I don't know." Garrus swallows nervously. "...Can I touch?"
"Of course."
Shepard rolls her eyes as if that answer is obvious. Maybe one day he'll finally get it into his head that he doesn't need to ask her for these things. Maybe. For now, he's asking. He's being careful. Because after everything she's been through, she deserves to be treated carefully. Gently. She's never experienced gentleness in her life and Garrus thinks that maybe it's high time he started giving it to her... Now that they're finally in a position where he can.
He runs his fingers through her hair. It doesn't feel any different than it did when it was red. It still flows like silk between his talons. Still so soft and perfect.
"Do you like it?"
"Hm." Garrus cocks his head to the side. "I think I can see myself warming up to it." She did this for you. He closed his eyes. "I love it. Blue suits you."

I completely understand what you mean with the reader always forgiving Pedro so fast!! Sometimes I’m just like “wait.. that’s it???” With stories haha. But I am also very good at holding grudges and staying mad lmao.
Personally I am a sucker for happy endings bc life is already too sad for me so I hope if you continue the story, they will eventually work things out. But I’m 100% on board with things taking time. Especially after he left her like that to fuck someone else. That was honestly so cruel..
Like you said, he knows how she feels. And he did all that just to break her heart all over again. Just because he’s being selfish and doesn’t want to lose her as a friend.. that really is fucked up! I definitely think he needs someone, like his sisters or Sarah, to be like “what in the fuck Pedro????”
So I would love for Pedro to realise how badly he hurt her and feel a bit of that hurt too. I also really love the “she falls first, he falls harder” thing.
I don’t know how many parts you would want to write but I would love for the reader to kinda “mean up” and just straight up be like “you’re a fucking asshole and I don’t want to see you” to Pedro. Like don’t take that kinda shit from a guy! And especially not someone that calls himself a friend..
That’s actually another thing, Pedro wanted to take her as a thanks for always supporting him and being a great friend etc.. but he’s not really being a good friend to her at all.
So yeah, that’s one thing I would love to see. Reader standing up for herself and realising she doesn’t deserve to be treated like that and making sure Pedro knows that. And I want him to feel bad lmao
But pedro is being an idiot and still tries to keep going like normal but reader is like fuck that and distances herself and pedro slowly realising that he fucked up pretty bad and is completely losing her
Idk, like I said. Personally I love happy endings because real life already sucks enough but that’s of course completely up to you! This was just some ideas, maybe something will spark the writing inspiration. But I’m super glad you’re willing to do a part 2! Hope you have a good day!! :)

I mean, we all love Pedro and that's why some people choose to have a happy ending fast, but I don't like that, I mean, I love happy endings too, but honestly, I love the hurt and angst more, lol!
I want a happy ending, but it's unfair if reader just forgives him and let him give her his crumbles just because he doesn't want to let go of their friendship. He knew damn well what he was doing, I mean, even if he didn't know reader had romantic feelings for him, or even if she didn't love him at all, it would still be so rude of him to just ignore her and send her home alone in order to go fuck someone else. It gives that 'i found someone better than you' vibe, you know?
I really like your ideas and I was thinking something similar, but the thing is, if I go along with it, then there's gonna be more than just the second part 😉 and Pedro will have to be even more of a dick to reader...
And if I'm being honest literally just five minutes before my shift started I began writing the second part. It is still some loose ideas but, it's something right? Even if I am able to work more on it, I still have a Javier Peña work to post before and then we'll see how it goes. I will also officially open my requests for Pedro and Javier (and Joel when I start tlou) later this week, because I don't want to accumulate a lot of work.

I’m about to dig into some drama because I haven’t felt this incredibly disrespected by someone on the internet for a long time. If you like my content and/or how I deal with things and are curious to know what’s going on, I’m explaining below.
I’m gonna start out with this:
I am not going to answer questions about this.
Do NOT go to this user and send them anon hate.
Sending anon hate accomplishes absolutely nothing and it’s a shitty thing to do. Just don’t.
So, I relatively recently blocked someone here (not going to name drop because that’s fucking rude, as I’ll get into later) and on Twitter for several reasons, but as I’ve said before, no one needs a reason to block here. It’s the internet. I had BARELY even spoken to this person. They responded by block evading to beg for a reason, and also asked their friend to message me about it. I didn’t reply, feeling increasingly like my boundaries were being disregarded and disrespected.
Then I was told that they’d been vaguing about me on Twitter, and as much as I support a little vaguing, it was bordering on obsessive and kinda creeping me out.
THEN TODAY I discovered that they had posted a fic inspired by my au without my permission, but not only that, the first chapter of their fic is a long-winded and wildly invasive author’s note complaining about how I had blocked them. An authors note IN WHICH THEY USED MY NAME. My actual NAME, not my url (which would’ve been just barely been better).
This really upset me. It’s a blatant and open disregard of my boundaries and wishes, and also… posting personal drama to a PUBLIC FANFICTION SITE is so incredibly immature and just not okay. In response to reading their author’s note, I sent them a long and extremely reasonable message detailing why I’d blocked them and that I was very upset. I told them that I wanted them to delete the author’s note. I would prefer if they hadn’t posted the fic in the first place but I can’t tell them to take it down, I just told them to delete the author’s note. They sent me an immature reply and refused.
I was originally tempted to post the full message I sent them and their reply, but I decided that wasn’t the best idea. Instead, I wanna address this one bit of their response:

1. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I don’t think I’m a good person. If being a good person means setting aside your own personal boundaries so people can walk all over you for their own pleasure, than I’m perfectly happy being a bad person with clear boundaries.
2. Why the fuck am I your hero?? What have I done to warrant that kind of parasocial worship???? I simply make art, write fic, and complain about stupid fandom drama. I am a regular ass person who happens to enjoy creating and has a decent amount of experience doing so. I do regular people things like work and eat and agonize over existence, and if you have decided to use your imagination to make me into someone that I am not, that is not my problem. Being treated like this makes me not want to share my art or fic. I’m just vibing. Ffs I am just desperately trying to connect with people who respect me/enjoy fandom content. Also, because I NEED to be petty, it’s *heros* (plural) not *hero’s* (singular possessive).
Anyway, after I sent them the message and got their reply, I ended the conversation and blocked them again. But now they have already gotten an anon hate comment on their fic (again, DON’T DO THIS) and they posted about it to their tumblr and Twitter claiming it was me who sent it.
I don’t send anon hate. I’m way too fucking anxious and also too old for that shit. I’ve done my best to take the idea of “the opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s indifference” concept to heart. Yes I will absolutely complain about being disrespected, but I do it in my own fucking space (aka here), and I’ll do my damnest to ignore any drawn out bullshit they continue to stir up.
So yeah. I’m honestly really riled up by this. I had been nothing but reasonable toward them, including my decision to block them, (in fact I blocked them in the beginning because they posted the same fic without asking and then gave them a second chance when they asked) and now they are claiming/implying that I’m harassing them.
If you’ve ever had more than a single conversation with me, or if you’ve ever read any of my long posts about this kind of stuff, you’d know that I try hard asf to be decent. I don’t send anon hate. I don’t name drop. But I do block without hesitation if something doesn’t click for me, and if someone doesn’t respect that boundary, I get pissed.
If you’ve gotten this far, I am platonically and respectfully smooching you on the forehead. If you still enjoy my artwork and writing, I would appreciate if y’all stick around. I know I’m not posting as often, but it’s nice to feel like I’ve got respectful people on here who appreciate what I do.
And finally, if you’re reading this and you know them: good, tell them I said to leave me alone. I’m tired of their childish bullshit.

This is a fantastic question cause now I can rant about Liverpool.
Well I support Liverpool in the prem but when I first started watching footy I actually watched arsenal quite a bit but idk I just never got into it but I do have such a soft spot for them. Like I'll rib my arsenal mates about them sometimes but honestly if they won the league I wouldn't be mad. But Liverpool stays on top. Those are my boys. My star players. Look at how they're all improving with each game. Sure we have a couple rough spots and we ended last season terribly but we are sooo back. I mean rn we're only 2 points away from winning the league. They're my broski's fr and if I feel like crying when I watch them play cause I love them we don't bring it up.
I also watch la liga kind of. Its complicated. I started out watching rma a whole lot more than I watched Liverpool and when they played each other last season I was literally giggling cackling over Liverpool's demise. But nowadays I almost never watch them. I just keep up with the scores but that's about it and atp I just say I follow madrid to vex my barca friends. Now considering I don't really watch them but they are my chosen team, I have no sense of rivalry especially in the Spanish league. I do like barca in a sense. Do I want them to win like I want arsenal to win? Goodness no. Not in any world. Couldn't care less about their footy and probably wouldn't defend them in am argument like I would arsenal. However, they're team is full of lil guys and I can't hate them really. If someone was just blatantly being mean and rude then yeah I'd probably be like shut up. But really I've never watched them outside of el classico and if el classico comes up you best believe I hate those guys strongly. But if I see them being gay on my dash, I'm just a girl and I will rb it 100%.
Also if someone invited me to watch arsenal I would cheer them on. If they lost to Liverpool if feel maybe 🤏 this bad cause I do love them but the happiness for my own team far outweighs whatever affair I have with arsenal

Yeah, that little scene of Taro tossing Haruka aside cemented him in my mind as an asshole
Haruka and Saruhara were nothing but nice and helpful this entire episode. They saw he was basically ill and, completely of their own accord, went to find answers and a solution.
Sure the first time it didn't work properly because Jin is an asshole who withholds critical information (about his SON) for no reason, but it did help. Taro would never have been able to save so many people during that chase if they didn't give him that first round of kibi dango. Then they again go out of their way to do it properly. Even when Kaito ends up bringing one too little, Taro even admits that (somehow, why is never explained and that's a writing pet peeve of mine), Haruka's actions made up for that deficit.
And then he just tosses her aside without even a thank you. For what? For laughs? Haruka has been nothing but helpful and he does that? There is no amount of neurodivergency that can excuse that, that's just the actions of an asshole.
Once you get up to the point where I gave up on Donbrothers I'll give a full write up of why I hate Taro (warning in advance, it actually involves some deep seated traumatic rage)

I should preface this first: Your thoughts are completely valid. I can see why you'd dislike Tarou after he throws Haruka halfway across the yard, rip. Seems like he's just taking her effort for granted and being a huge jerkwad. I just hope y'all Momoi antis can take a few deep breathes and come into my analysis with an open mind. Cause I love discussion.
I'm also prefacing that I'll be quoting from academic material and books as well, so prepare for that. This will probably be unnecessarily long so I'm putting a cut here too

Me and Nacho actually discussed Momoi quite a bit, and one thing that had continued to stump me was how Momoi would completely change his personality the moment he transformed.
Dude just idk became iNSANE to me. And so I really was like ???
So here's a set of questions I'm going to try and answer and explain.
(1) Why does Momoi's personality change when he becomes Don Momotaro?
(2) Why does he answer everything he's asked?
(3)Why does he hit or disrespect his teammates or attack them in battle when he says he "doesn't hit people"
Let's get into it.
So first:

But he acts like that for a reason.
He's on the spectrum.
I’m not equating being on the spectrum with ‘bad’ or ‘ rude behavior. I’m saying Momoi deals and processes and copes in a different way.
(Is this an excuse? No. But I want it to be noted here that his mind fundamentally works differently. ADHD is similar to Autism in a lot of ways, but there are still a lot of differences, and that doesn't account for differences among individuals as well.)
So let's get to it.
(1) Why does his personality change?
(Inserting a conversation I had with Nacho about this. For context, we where discussing episode 7, when Momoi calls them, Haruka and Haiku, his "companions". Nacho told me what word he was saying and why they reacted like that LOL. )
Nacho:
So tomodachi, to me that word insinuates an affection between two people, like high school classmates. Japanese school, you see the same people you're whole life so your bonds with your school friends are just a tiny step down from family
So it might not necessarily be a deep friendship, but it's the most obviously affectionate
Nakama is more about a bond like you're people on a journey. So like, less affection, but more devotion. Like you feel a strong loyalty to someone, but you might not define yourselves as close in any sense of the word
And then Tarou freaking says that they're his お供 (otomo) LOL!!!!
Which is very, Idk, it sounds archaic
It give me a mental image of a rogue vagabond and is 5 sidekicks. In medieval Japan.
Otomo is different than otmodachi. Like it's spelled different too :))
お供 (otomo) is spelled with the kanji for submit/offer/serve/accompany

Idk, maybe fixated is the wrong word but Idk the correct ones. But having a preference for certain speech patterns and not differing from them to incorporate nuance in conversation.
Like Idk all the context, but like for whatever reason, Tarou is attached to talking or referencing or alluding to archaic language. Assuming that Tarou is on the spectrum, he might not be able to really incorporate the nuances of molding himself into the legendary hero he wants to be—hence he adapts old language and this goofy personality bc it comes with the package of being Momotarou.
It'd be like if I thought to myself that I want to mold myself into a Superman-esque persona, but I also put on the blue spandex and wore fake glasses randomly
Those things have nothing to do with what Superman's admirable qualities are, but I'd be unable to take some qualities and leave the other, have to do things in black and white.
Me: Woah. I was wondering why Momoi always acted insane specifically when he transforms. Like he doesn't normally go around WAHAHA'ing
Nacho: Right. I mean that part especially reminds me of my autistic family members LOL. Definitely should read up more about it, but adhering to some sort of predictable character/caricature that they admire, that brings comfort. It's jarring for people not on the spectrum bc we read social cues that tell us some behaviors are odd, but others can't tell that.
Like it's obvious not to randomly laugh like a maniac to us, but it's not obvious to people on the spectrum.

So yeah with this, for people who aren't autistic, change is normal
J: but people with autism need the repetition?
Nacho: Yeah exactly, for autistic people, rigidity is normal, not change .So even people who are neurodivergent and can't pick up social cues, they will naturally try to find the answer.
J: I see, that's why when change is introduced to them, it can tend to cause a lot of stress....right?
Nacho: Right, and from my understanding, the idea that you can change your behavior, that's foreign.
I don't want to assume that there ISN'T any truth to the argument that Tarou is not trying to change. BUT I think it's important to consider how change is something that's only normal to some people.
Like in a more physical manifestation of autism, a kid might do repetitive things like scratching their ear right? Someone might say "why aren't they trying to change?"
Especially when they get older. But the idea that someone would think "man, I should change this thing I'm doing"--that doesn't even register as an option
It's like a tricky multiple choice question

And then the teacher tells you it should've been C: neither. And you're like "BUT THAT WASN'T AN OPTION"

I don't think Tarou realizes that avoiding to talk is even an option. It's only A or B

Anyways, this brought me the realization that Momoi's personality changes because he's putting on a character, a 'persona'. He doesn't know how to be the hero "Momotarou" without it.
It's easy to imagine too.
Like Jin named Momoi after the Momotarou fairytale. It would be a fair assumption to think that he would then read him the fairytale or tell him about it?
And so Momoi is essentially doing what the fairytale Momotarou did.
Heroes being pricks isn't a new concept either. A lot of them are portrayed as having a sort of natural "bravado." Like Tony Stark for instance. He's arrogant, a narcissist, AND he's rude. And you can see some of that bravado in Momoi.
NOW! Time to get on quotes from my research.
This topic had me looking into books, and so I read "Uniquely Human" by Barry M. Prizant.
And this gave me the language to analyze Momoi and somewhat hypothesize why he acts the way that he does.
"When a child with extreme sensory sensitivities enters a noisy room and cups his hands over his ears and rocks his body, this pattern of behavior is simultaneously a sign of dysregulation and a coping strategy. You could call it “autistic behavior.” Or you could ask “Why is he doing that?” The answer is twofold: the child is revealing that something is amiss and that he has developed a response to shut out what is causing him anxiety."
"Whether or not we realize it, all humans employ these rituals and habits to help us regulate ourselves—soothe ourselves, calm our minds and bodies, and help us cope. Ok. Let's take a break from quoting LOL!
I bolded this part because it really stood out to me; things were beginning to make a lot of sense with this knowledge in the back of my mind as I re-examine some of Momoi’s behaviors.
What does Momoi do every time he transforms, or right before he does something crazy? He laughs.
"WAHAHAHA." <-He does this because it helps increase his alertness.
Likewise, in episode 7, why do you think Momoi got out his fan right before he aggravated the MOTW? It's because he was upset at his comrades being attacked and he needed something comforting to focus on, to help him calm down. After he gets it out he starts laughing --> He's ready to be Don Momotarou.
Tarou needs to "flip on" his Don character when he goes into fighting because it makes having to fight a possibility for him. He's changing the script from "battle" to "play/game".
Un-transformed he says "I don't hit people" and this is true.
But transformed he does; like in this Haruka example listed by Hebi anon. He does (hit people) because he has to and this helps him cope with that.

She stopped showing pictures and instead wrote Lucy’s name on a card, placed it in a row with other cards, and asked the girl to identify it. Almost immediately Lucy dove toward the young woman, trying to pull on her blouse in protest.
Why?
The therapist had shifted the pattern, changing the rules without warning.
When a highly anxious child craves routine to understand the world, it’s no wonder a sudden change throws her off. To test my theory, later that day I watched Lucy stroll with a teacher along a familiar school hallway. Then I suggested that the teacher alter the route from the usual routine. When she did, Lucy, suddenly upset, again lunged and grabbed at the teacher’s neck and blouse just as she had before.
It was clear that the grabbing wasn’t aggressive behavior; it was a plea for support at a moment of extreme confusion. Lucy didn’t intend harm. She was confounded during a familiar activity; she had become more anxious and dysregulated, approaching a state of panic.
....
So Momoi didn't intend on harming Haruka here, but because he spent the entire episode ill and vulnerable, what was routine had been changed. He did this as "a plea of support at a moment of extreme confusion." Basically, the power dynamics in their "play" shifted. He had been relying on Haruka (when he usually doesn't rely on anyone, mostly always in control of the battle) and by throwing her he's doing it to show thanks.
"I am able to be myself again. You helped me go back to being a hero." (Play his role)
Haruka had shifted the pattern, changing the rules. Likewise, when they went to defeat the monster in episode 3 and FAILED -- she swears fealty and he responds by kicking her and then attacking his teammates (LOL). This is because Sononi disrupted the pattern (defeat monster, save person). She interrupted the routine and killed the monster/human and Momoi didn't know how to regulate himself. Therefore he chose to attack his teammates.
Esp because he only attacked Haruka AFTER she swore fealty, so basically, she was saying "yeah I'll be ur helpful sidekick" and at that moment Momoi needed help getting rid of his anxiety/aggression/confusion at the routine being disrupted and a person being killed.
In episode 7 they ask him "yo, if we're ur companions why did u attack us?" And Momoi said it was to train them so 'they wouldn't hold him back'
For me, I think what Tarou's really trying to communicate, is that he attacks them because HE sees it as a way to protect his friends from being harmed. The first time he ever attacked them was in the episode where his routine was interrupted and they failed to save someone. I don't doubt this made Momoi upset, and anxious. He doesn't want his friends to die like that monster did and he doesn't want more monsters to die (in general) therefore --> attacking his teammates = training = they can protect themselves and save monsters ergo his routine won't get interrupted and they won't be "holding him back"
"Holding him back" can also metaphorically mean emotionally. Like instead of holding him back cuz they're weak, it's more they're holding him back because if he's busy being worried/anxious about them he won't be able to focus on the battle.

Another book I read for research "The Reason I Jump: The inner-voice of a 13-yr-old Boy With Autism"
(Notably, the boy who wrote/answered the questions asked in the book was 13 at the time, and also he's Japanese as well, so I’d say it’s culturally relevant. I knew it would be nice to have varied voices/sources. So I included this.)
"Sometimes, people with autism speak with a strange intonation, or use language in a different way. Non-autistic people can sort out what they want to say in real- time, while they’re having their conversation. But in our case, the words we want to say and the words we can say don’t always match that well. Which is why our speech can sound a bit odd, I guess. When there’s a gap between what I’m thinking and what I’m saying, it’s because the words coming out of my mouth are the only ones I can access at that time. These words are either available because I’m always using them or because they left a lasting impression on me at some point in the past. ."
Now this next quote I'm putting down is because it directly reminded me of Haruka, Haiku, and Momoi's episode 4 Cafe conversation. The scene starts with Haruka and Haiku bombarding Momoi with questions.
"You normal people, you talk at an incredible speed. Between thinking something in your head and saying it takes you just a split second. To us, that’s like magic! So is there something wrong with the circuitry in our brains? Life’s been tough for people with autism, pretty much for ever, yet nobody’s really been able to identify the causes of autism. For sure, it takes us ages to respond to what the other person has just said. The reason we need so much time isn’t necessarily because we haven’t understood, but because by the time it’s our turn to speak, the reply we wanted to make has often upped and vanished from our heads.
“I don’t know if this is making a whole lot of sense to you. Once our reply has disappeared, we can never get it back again. What did he say again? How was I going to answer her question? ... Search me! And all the while, we’re being bombarded by yet more questions. I end up thinking, this is just hopeless. It’s as if I’m drowning in a flood of words."
Momoi's reaction and response here now make a lot more sense, right? You can actually visibly see how Momoi is taken aback by all their questions. He looks uncomfortable. Unsure.
Vulnerable.
He isn't condemning them or mocking them and saying "just do what you're supposed to do, why are you asking questions." He genuinely doesn't know and he's anxious from all the questions they spring upon him. He doesn't even know how to answer the first one and he's drowning in all their words.
Like, is it really a wonder he stood up, turned AWAY from them (not looking at them) and instead went and sat at a counter before asking his question?
And what he asked was if it was really necessary to know the reason for everything. Now, consider this, what if this is another echo of things he's heard? Perhaps how Jin has responded to his questions before?
He's anxious and stressed from their questions, it wouldn't be surprising if he fell back on a response he's heard before.

This below quote reminded me of the end of episode 4 when Momoi's job is essentially finished and so he stops showing up to the Oni-giri shop/the consultant work place. AND the added cut to him being alone by the pier.
"‘Ah, don’t worry about him – he’d rather be on his own.’ How many times have we heard this? I can’t believe that anyone born as a human being really wants to be left all on their own, not really. No, for people with autism, what we’re anxious about is that we’re causing trouble for the rest of you, or even getting on your nerves. This is why it’s hard for us to stay around other people. This is why we often end up being left on our own.
The truth is, we’d love to be with other people. But because things never, ever go right, we end up getting used to being alone, without even noticing this is happening. Whenever I overhear someone remark how much I prefer being on my own, it makes me feel desperately lonely. It’s as if they’re deliberately giving me the cold-shoulder treatment."
(Honestly this BREAKS my fkin heart. Because this is so obvious in that lonely pier shot of his. Just the contrast of the people celebrating at the Onigiri shop, and Momoi all alone, staring off into the distance at the deep waters in front of him.)
To me -- at this point, it's painfully obvious that Momoi is on the spectrum. (IMO. He’s at least exhibiting a lot of traits / is coded that way) I know you (Hebi anon) said you had trouble with his behavior or the things he says, but when you look at it through this lens it all starts to connect.
First, I need to say, Momoi isn't doing ANY of this maliciously. Even his attacks on Haruka. If you're like "that doesn't make any sense" -- well, exactly. Because we aren't looking at it from Momoi’s context. When you ask "WHY" and examine his actions and the context it's in, it puts things into perspective.

And for why he laughs, or repeats phrases? Like the "It's a festival!" Phrase? It's delayed echolalia, or scripting.
Echolalia is something that can be seen as a one commonality for a good handful of people on the spectrum. Essentially they're echoing the words / phrases of things that they hear. And this can be for MULTIPLE reasons.
(1) Because they like saying the phrase and it gives them comfort.
(2) To ask a question
(3) As a self-soothing ritual or coping mechanism to help them with their situation.
etc. etc. etc.
To share an example….yes from Uniquely Human 🤪:
“One day we had the children create an art project with paints, but instead of paint brushes, they used pieces of sponge. Afterward David discovered bits of the cut-up sponge on the floor of the classroom. Just as he had with the fuzz balls, he began picking them up one at a time, closely examining each as he rubbed it between his fingers, savoring the texture.
“That’s a piece of sponge,” I said.
“That’s a piece of sponge,” he echoed. “That’s a piece of sponge, sponge, sponge!”
Again I could see the joy he derived from the combination of the feeling of the material and the sound of the words coming out of his mouth. As he clutched the bits of sponge in his cupped hands and looked at the others on the floor, he began to dance around the room on tiptoes. “That’s a piece of sponge, sponge, sponge!” he kept saying. “That’s a piece of sponge!”
The real revelation came the next day. By then the classroom had been cleaned. We had cleared away the art project and someone had straightened up and vacuumed away all the debris. When David arrived in the classroom, though, he returned to exactly the spot in the room where a day earlier he had come upon the sponge bits. I watched as he repeated his dance, shifting his gaze to me and saying, “That’s a piece of sponge, sponge, sponge! That’s a piece of sponge!”
Consider this:
What if a visitor had happened into the classroom that day to observe the children? Imagine such a person watching this little boy coming into the room, full of energy, and then performing a little dance and babbling on about a sponge. The visitor might easily have dismissed the behavior as absurd. Or silly. Or random. The visitor might have questioned David’s grip on reality—or at least his understanding of the word sponge.
But if you had been in the room the previous day, if you had shared the conversation with David that I did, if you knew about his enthusiasm for new textures, then you would have understood exactly what was going on. This little boy was recounting his experience of the previous day—not only the facts of the experience (the materials used in the art project) but, more important, his own feelings of excitement about it.
He was telling a story."

So what story is Momoi telling? Well, I'd like to examine that scene in episode 4 -- the flashback to Momoi's past.
When he sees those protestors he says to Jin:
"Its a fun festival!'
Now, I'm beginning to realize he didn't say that just because he thought that was what it was. He's echoing something he probably heard Jin or someone else say -- the time they went to a festival. More than that he's probably asking a question: It's a fun festival, Jin! -->Look at all the people gathered! Why are they gathered? Are they celebrating? What's going on?
He's asking a question, through delayed echolalia as well as making an observation.
Here's another example (from Uniquely Human, I really recommend reading it LOL) :
"Often children use echoes to tell us what they’re thinking, but rarely in ways that are immediately obvious. The father of Kyle, a young boy with autism, once invited me to join the two of them on a sailboat in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island. In the middle of a lovely afternoon, we were anchoring in a little cove when the boy began running up and down the deck as he anxiously leaned over to peer into the water. “No dogs! Dogs bite!” he kept saying with increasing urgency, looking back at his dad. “No dogs! Dogs bite!” No dogs? We were out on the water, with no other boats nearby—no people, no animals. Just waves and wind. What could he have been talking about?
His father knew exactly what he meant. “He’s asking if he can go swimming.” I asked the father to explain.
He told me that Kyle had a fear of dogs. When he felt anxious about his safety, that was how he expressed it: “No dogs! Dogs bite!” Now he wanted to go swimming in the shallow cove, but he wasn’t sure whether this was a safe place, so he was asking. With that phrase he accomplished three things: he expressed his fear, requested permission from his dad, and made sure it was safe. And when his father responded “It’s okay, it’s safe! No dogs!,” Kyle jumped in with great glee."
This example.....is so good. Now some of what Tarou says or does makes a lot more sense.
When he goes into battle he scripts it as "a fun festival" because he's using an echo of a fun experience from his childhood, an experience that obv left a lasting impression. One that can comfort him, or that he can use to cope with being thrown randomly into battles and fighting.
It's not so scary if he's a hero, right? Like the ones in his fairytales. Because heroes ALWAYS beat the bad guys.
Even more than that -- he can deal with it if its a game or contest or festival. "This isn't a scary life-or-death experience. This is a fun game!" This is how Momoi copes.
Now, onto Momoi and his thing with mistakes/weaknesses:

“When I see I’ve made a mistake, my mind shuts down. I cry, I scream, I make a huge fuss, and I just can’t think straight about anything any more. However tiny the mistake, for me it’s a massive deal, as if Heaven and Earth have been turned upside down. For example, when I pour water into a glass, I can’t stand it if I spill even a drop.
It must be hard for you to understand why this could make me so unhappy. And even to me, I know really that it’s not such a big deal. But it’s almost impossible for me to keep my emotions contained. Once I’ve made a mistake, the fact of it starts rushing towards me like a tsunami. And then, like trees or houses being destroyed by the tsunami, I get destroyed by the shock. I get swallowed up in the moment, and can’t tell the right response from the wrong response. All I know is that I have to get out of the situation as soon as I can, so I don’t drown. To get away, I’ll do anything. Crying, screaming and throwing things, hitting out even…
Finally, finally, I’ll calm down and come back to myself. Then I see no sign of the tsunami attack – only the wreckage I’ve made. And when I see that, I hate myself. I just hate myself."

I just want to say, Momoi's action make sense if you look at it from his context with a lens of what people who are autistic / on the spectrum are like. Sorry for such a long response man :x,

I picked my LN cuz I don't remember how things went with Demiurge(being Demiurge) and oh boy, he did firstly offer to kill her to prevent the information from getting outside XD. I thought of some unexpected, sick threesome XD) Also, uhh, according to what he said later, I guess he wanted for her to cook food for the residents of the happy farm. You know, food made of other residents. (#justdemiurgethings). I wonder if that would be a true torture for Tuare. After all, she doesn't care much about humans right now. XD
But yep, Overlord is so dark, it's such a nice change from all of those isekai-ed good dudes. Especially overpowered isekai-ed good dudes. I agree tho, out of context Overlord is the best (mm, ah yes, that plan? THAT plan? Yes, you're so smart Demiurge, so then I'll allow you to describe MY plan to everyone)

Firstly, thank you to the anon who sent me the request! :)
👥️ - who are two characters that never got to interact that you would like to see talk to each other?
Jack and Yassen.
I feel like Jack would be angry at Yassen, given everything Alex told her. Possibly getting upset at him for working with Cray and for killing Ian. But, also feeling thankful that Yassen kept Alex save and spared his life.
It would be really interesting to see the two of them have a conversation or even have to work together to protect Alex. It’s something I would like to see, although it probably won’t happen.
🧸 - do you believe alex was specifically being trained to be a spy as a child?
I think Ian was training Alex, but I think it was more for Alex’s protection if ghosts of the past came after them. I could also see Ian encouraging/manipulating Alex into being a spy when he got a bit older. But, I think Ian would have wanted Alex to finish his A levels before getting in the family business.
Book verse; If Ian survived stormbreaker I could very well see Blunt convincing Ian to send Alex to Point Blanc for a few weeks to just look around. Or convincing Ian to take his nephew on more and more missions without Alex really knowing what was going on.
I do think that Ian did take Alex on missions as cover, even if the plan was just for Alex to chill at the hotel. Christmas at gunpoint is a good example of this theory, and in the book verse, Alex brings up a few other holidays he spent with Ian.
💬 - favorite quote?
Oh this is a hard one. I only saw the show once so I don’t have much of the dialogue memorized. I remember that Tom had a few good lines. (Tom is the absolute best boi).
The only line that comes to my head right now is Yassen’s. Both the conversation between Yassen and Ian, where Yassen is almost apologetic at having to kill Ian.
And, later when Yassen said, “Another time, maybe.” When he runs into Alex at the school.
In the Book Verse, Alex has a few funny one liners in the books. I like to moments when Alex is being Alex. In book one, one of my favorite lines is when Sayle and Alex are talking about the Portuguese man of war; Sayle says“You see, it [portuguese man-of-war] reminds me of myself.” and Alex’s response was “It’s 99% water. It has no brain, no guts and no anus.”
Alex in the books is immediately realizes his mistake and feels bad.
Alex says this line in the movie, too. But, it’s not as funny, but definitely comes across rudely- which I guess is how Sayle takes the comment.
❗️ - what was a moment you didn't see coming?
Season 1: Really surprised me. At first I was a bit disappointed with the changes they made from the books, but by episode three I was hooked on the plot. They did a really good job of changing things that need to be changed, and adding plot points and characters that were exciting. So basically the whole season one of TV show.
I really liked Tom’s character and his plot. The big twist I did not see coming was him getting kidnapped by Michael Roscoe and pulled into everything because of his friendship with Alex.
Season 2: I thought it was a bit more predictable and hit more of the plot points of the original books. I was not expecting Kyra to show back up in season two. At first I was feeling “Meh” about her character (since she mainly fills Jack’s role in Amsterdam), but I think they made the right call with creating team Alex (Tom, Kyra, and Alex).
Season 3: Well….. We will see 😉
🌟 🦂 who's a character you could see working for scorpia in a different timeline, and why?
Blunt. Because he is an evil character and shows time and time again that he does not care for Alex and just uses him. We also see Blunt do rather evil things in the books. He sent a sniper to scare Alex into working for him again in Scorpia Rising, so I can see him going to extremes to convince Alex to do what he wants or keep his own secret.

ah... i'm the first anon and i'm neither op nor the person who sent you the second ask i wasn't trying to be rude, and i think the second anon was out of line. i just wanted to provoke some self-reflection, maybe, about what atmosphere you're bringing to the (very small and thus easily affected) fandom and how that makes other feels (since it felt like you might be sympathetic) and that's all.
yeah no you're good. the first ask was quite fine hence my original intention to reply to it normally. sorry for assuming that you're the other anon, but seeing them together kind of came off a certain way haha, so please give me that leeway. of course that's not really something anyone can control at the end of the day. also sorry for the late response, my health got poorly and i decided to just rest up (again, not gonna respond to anything unless i can give answers that somewhat satisfy me which isn't possible unless my mental faculties are in some kind of shape) (+my blog runs on a 2 posts per day queue so if a few posts came out that is not me.)

this website sucks. i get if the asks leaked into search because a few of them had keywords like "c*e" and whatnot... that's essentially on me? taking a good 80% of the blame for that. will probably censor it in the future if im being critical or something. i'm repeating what i said for emphasis. anyway, the whole "i'm gonna bang on about this one post" is not something i regularly do if at all, if you check my posts— if your view of me is still in good faith then thank you, but honestly, like i said before this has been blown out of proportion. i'm not really gonna cause some insane vibe change in the future because i did not have much intention to contribute in the first place or get involved... i am one person. ya'll have fun now...

yooo why are y'all going to hard on anon being disappointed that their shit hasn't been worked on yet. like yeah its a little rude and they could probably do with having some more patience but like idk they're also allowed to feel bad and complain a bit about it a little.
anyways, yeah its sort of to be expected since theres like, 2-3 artists working on fauna iirc. OBLIGATORY DISCLAIMER I COULD BE COMPLETELY WRONG HERE, i also remember seeing somewhere that work is like, largely self-selected? or something like that? as in, individual artists will choose their assignments from a list of things the team has to do. even if you submitted your concepts first, it could just be that by the time the list of work was fully compiled and given to the team, the artists pounced on other backers' designs first because it was more appealing to them.
in any case, we're at 6/10 backer fauna designs completed, so its very possible next month's update will feature all the remaining designs.

Hey not sure if you’re Christian but I think I remember you posting a bit about your faith a while back ?!?! I don’t know buuuuut
Anyway, thought I’d ask your opinion on this matter it’s a bit intense maybe but getting on anon and asking for advice from people on here felt like the first step of this without anyoen knowing me in my real life first. I have recently considered that maybe my partner was using a weird way of emotional manipulation or abuse (I don’t wanna say abuse) but I have been going to church for a little over 2 years and am pretty strong in where I stand. Whereas he was more fresh to the whole thing lol but I used to think we were on the same page ,,, BUT it would constantly be a case of he would change his mind on everything from one week to the next and it felt like even when I gave my view he would turn it so he didn’t have to agree with me or turn it into some kind of conflict and also times where he would say I wasn’t trusting God enough if I had a bad day or told me ‘this isn’t how you should be if you were with Jesus’ if I got upset about things he said sometimes and it felt like I never knew if he would say he’d break up with me and blame me for not being ‘holy’ enough but the next day he would say he is there for me and wants to help etc I’ve babbled enough but hope I’m not bombarding you w/ all of this ahah take your time to answer if you do !!! 💀

First off, manipulation is a form of abuse— anything that's used to exhort, exploit, control how one feels, behaves, or thinks to the said manipulator advantage so they get what they want, is emotional abuse.
If you feel like you can't be yourself, or feel horrible after they've stated something inconsiderate, mean, rude, or even disregarded your stance and/or values in both your life and faith, then I would consider it emotional abuse, anon.
In my opinion, a partner is supposed to respect and value your beliefs or lifestyle while they also navigate through their own as well. You know, mutual respect and etc? The fact that he tries to to turn your inputs or opinions into a conflict and even insert Jesus into the discussions or arguments (?) to have you agree with him or in general feel bad about how you approach your faith or life, is not right. And to top that, you're describing them as someone who goes back and forth in judging you and making you feel horrible to trying to be there for you? Again, that's in my opinion, someone who has issues that needs to be addressed because it looks like they're being emotionally abusive towards you.
First off, this word 'holy' really irks me — please never allow anyone to tell you how you should or should not practice your faith and how have a relationship with Jesus Christ. That's your journey alone to maintain, change and follow.
I'm sorry — this was all I could infer from what you shared with me. I am not going to tell you what you should or shouldn't about your relationship with your partner, but you stated that you feel strong in your beliefs and lifestyle so let that be your first groundwork in how you choose to address the other issues. SaL anon here bestie with congratulations for managing to get through that pile of bullshit known as 4x03 last night!! So since we're feeling salty about the M*ria crap from last night I'm going to dump a bunch of incoherent thoughts on your inbox about why this keeps happening, which basically comes down to the writers putting themselves in a corner. So we're all exhausted by the constant praising/propping up of her character, it's actually ridiculous, so why does it exist? We all know it's
because there's no actual evidence of it (maybe there was in S1 but all her actions in S2 pretty much negated it). Like we don't have to be constantly told Kyle is compassionate or Liz is super smart, we're shown it all the time. But M*ria is never shown being this person, so we only get to hear about it, but they need it to be true since her character was part of the S2 dumpster fire. So why don't they show it now (meaning starting with S3)? The problem is that selfless, caring person is utterly incompatible with her S2 personality transplant, meaning the selfish, narcissistic girlboss. So we end up with these weird narratives for her that are supposed to make her look unselfish and concerned, but because the girlboss is still in place make it worse.
She's risking her life to get visions to save someone (but only because she'd feel guilty, ignore the fact she's risking others)!! She just wants to be part of the pod squad family (but has only ever been aggressive and rude to Isobel)!! She's taking a risk to get visions to help with the new aliens (but is actually risking Kyle and only does it so she won't feel irrelevant)!! She can't make Liz feel bad she lost her powers (but refused to use the bracelet that would make the situation less urgent)!! The person they want to exists is completely different from the one they've created, and instead of propping up her friends needs to constantly be propped up instead hence we can only ever hear about it.
So why not revert her to S1 Maria who people liked? Well then the writers would actually have to make her face the music because empathetic Maria would never have taken the actions she did (ever notice how the psychic, empathy thing got dropped after S1?). And we can't have that happen and force the RNM writers admit that they made a huge, narrative mistake that wasted an entire season. Sorry for the long salty rant, hope it was a bit fun!
Hiiii bestie! Your rants are always fun and I am always here for the salt, especially after a pointlessly m*ria heavy episode. Sidenote, I find it odd that Mimi was such a fixture in season 1 but now everything is about Patricia. Like, I get the actress may not always be alliable, but this was the first time Mimi has been mentioned in ages. (and it’s because she’s missing again. of course) But like, why is she not getting the same treatment m*ria got? That whole plot and trying to work out how to make m*ria relevant to the plot has been so badly handled and has just created more questions than answers and resulted in SO much wastes screentime. *cough cough* vision plot *cough*
ANYWAY, as always you are completely right that by not addressing her behavior in season 2, the show cannot allow her to grow and progress in a believable way! It’s part of the reason Malex getting back together like they did with no discussion of the issues from season 2 made their reunion fall a little flat despite Vlamburn being magical and working their asses off to sell it. That whole thing is just a giant elephant in the room that the writers are not just asking us to ignore, but are actively parading in front of us and telling us it’s a cute little mouse.
I thought season 3 and m*ria being bitter and snippy to Michael about Alex like THEY wronged HER, and making snide comments to Michael about when they were getting married when she knew full well Alex was dating Forrest was bad enough. But having someone directly ask her what bad things she’s done, in an episode where she stole medical supplies from a working doctor’s go-bag and lied to him and Liz about the side effects of her treatment, and not having her able to come up with a single thing? Saying she puts others first when we have seen that be blatantly untrue? Calling her a SAINT when she was happy to sacrifice Max to try and assuage her own personal guilt? That kinda takes the cake.
