I've really enjoyed reading your tags!! I haven't really thought about karabita much in the past few years, so it was nice to kind of have a walk down memory lane. I found myself reading back through some of my old work as you were reblogging it, and it was really nostalgic.

I didn't actually realize how much karabita I wrote! I've just been going off my AO3 stats for years. But I had a tendency to put stuff on tumblr back then and I didn't always crosspost to AO3, apparently. Then again, there's also a lot of karabita that I put on AO3 and never put on tumblr. So it was wild to realize that, in addition to the 50+ karabita fics I posted to AO3, I apparently also had this whole mess of ficlets that were tumblr-only. I didn't remember writing most of them at all until I saw you reblogging them. lmao

Anyway... thank you very much! I'm really very genuinely glad you liked them. I didn't realize anyone was still reading those. I haven't seen most of s2 or any of s3 (I bounced off of s2 pretty hard) so I wasn't sure if that was still a ship that anyone cared about. It's nice to know people still care after all these years.

I also laughed a lot when I saw from your tags that my Osomatsu-san/Muppets crossover was the first Muppets fic you ever read, but I was glad you enjoyed it! I was even more well-known for Muppets than Osomatsu-san for a while there, which is why I assume someone asked for that. It really made me laugh when I realized that I'd accidentally reeled someone into Muppets from karabita; the two are just such wildly different fandoms. (Though... in other ways very similar...)

I'm not in karabita fandom anymore, but I'll admit that it was a really fun part of my life. I really enjoyed all of the unhinged stuff I wrote, and I really loved how collaborative the fandom was. I didn't remember until I saw your notes how many ficlets I wrote based on requests back then, or how much fanart was made of those fics.

12. What's the funniest or craziest AU idea you've ever come up with? tbh the bar is low bc I don’t make AUs often, sorry 🥲

Craziest as in convoluted or weirdest concept, probably the shattered time loop one, literally multiple time split versions of the same character interacting and having old Rick and young Prime interact and vice versa, it’s a lot of fun to think about the conflicts and grievances.

Craziest as in toxic spiral, probably the vampire AU, I adore some of the scenes I’ve plotted for it like Prime purposefully biting Rick while making out with him and Rick doesn’t know about the infection. Or Rick finding Prime feeding on Diane and him forcing Rick to drink some of her blood via a kiss…or Rick getting gradually more ill from the infection and needing to feed/him feeding on Prime and being so, so desperate, enjoying it while hating it at the same time 🫠 how sweet it would taste etc after starving himself and Prime letting him, bc he’s the one who infected Rick in the first place and now has him exactly where he wants him 🫠 so much fun to think about. I’m always on the border of actually fully fleshing it out into an actual AU, idk…

Funniest? Idk I don’t really come up with many AUs rn tbh but I do love thinking of ways in which old Prime and Rick would interact if they couldn’t rip out each others throats/had to work together. Those are always funny to think about and write little drabbles for (that will never see the light of day).

geto anon here: holy fuck i just know that oneshot would be amazing but no pressure obviously. but can i just ramble a lil bit here? ignore me if u want lmao ok so the whole thing with geto being a manager and apparently really good with strategies and stuff just made me imagine him as an engineer cause. idk why but i personally feel like it fits him. especially if we consider canonical geto whos so smart and talks a lot and explains things lmao like when he explains tengen to satoru that one time and satoru is like nod nod yea just like digimon. i love their dynamics way too much. and also the way geto was basically gojos moral compass and he told gojo to stop saying ore and start saying boku instead AND GOJO DID so im here imagining them in this au. for ur au 💀 where geto gets into being an engineer instead of a racer. it would honestly be funny just the two bickering and having different views on the strategy. i know basically nothing about racing and f1. but just yea the whole. geto coming up with strategies and gojo being pissed at first cause geto is so righteous and bossy but then they just fit together seamlessly and become the strongest duo. gojo the best racer and geto the best engineer and gojo is like. i would never trade my engineer for anyone. hes a big part of the reason i win at all. ill just quit if he does. and about geto being bitter. ur right it does depend on how u see him. in this case yes obviously if hes been a racer this whole time it would feel like hes downplaying himself to be smth else and let someone take the titles he wants. but yea just i feel like if that wasnt the case stsg would have really cool dynamics. and hopefully he would know the job of engineer is really important. he has got to value himself. also imagine them maybe dating/pining and then theyre working and having to be careful with what they say during the races cause it can be recorded and used against them. like theyll say some gay shit over the radio and try to downplay it afterwards 💀 idk its just cool to think about 😭 sorry for rambling but yea just i love ur fic and it makes me think a lot

i think it largely depends on whether riko still dies and whether getou's dad still dies. could do something really evil with that lmao...

but aside from that im kind of a fan of stories being changed by One Thing Changing, that you think is gonna change the entire dna of a story because of how important it is, and then it fails to change anything important, in the end. because the characters are still the same and they still come to the same end. its a challenge as a writer to bring them to that point with a completely different route.

that being said id probs write it around 10-20k as a oneshot set aroooouuuund 2013. it would be interesting to see how much would change with getou being an engineer rather than a racer. (considering in coanda effect, he plays a key last-race role in both yuki's second championship and gojo's first).

I'm quite content with this. I'm weird, unpalatable, and often freaky, and I have no interest in changing. However, due to recent Events™, I feel like it's worth pointing out. So, below are some screenshots displaying some very intimate & vulnerable blog information lmao.

Note: Names and partially icons have been redacted out to protect people's privacy. :) For the sake of transparency, however, I did leave one name unredacted*, but I want to be clear that, while I may disagree with their takes, I hold no ill will toward them and they did nothing wrong.

To recap, I only have 138 followers. Additionally, these screenshots show my activity for most of the day today. Which is actually the most activity my posts have gotten in probably months.

Maybe a couple of you will be surprised by this information, and I guess that's fair. I'm coming from an old abandoned fandom blog that DID have a lot of followers after all, so it's possible that I carry myself a certain way in online spaces. (Not to mention, I'm a mega-introvert, so I have the message response time of a hermit, which often aligns with BNF response time hahahha.)

However, the truth of the matter is that, while I ocassionally write the decent fic on Ao3, I am little more than a grain of sand on the dunes of Tumblr. When I reblog a post to snarkily disagree with the original poster, I know at the time of hitting the submit button that the maximum number of ppl who are gonna see my snark is 138. That's the maximum. The number of people who will see it and maybe even skim it? That's probably more like 10. The number of people who will actually agree with it, think it's in good taste, and/or want to interact with it? Well, judging by my activity log and the recent highlighted example, clearly zero (0).* Lmao. In other words, I know very well that making reblogs will not hurt the original poster or their reputation. The only harm that can possibly come from my snarky reblogs is the snark itself. (... which, speaking of, if you can't handle ppl disagreeing with your literary analysis & meta posts on the public interwebs, then maybe don't make literary analysis & meta posts on the public interwebs.)

Of course, beloved victims of my snarky reblogs have every right to respond however they see fit. In fact, everyone on this website has the right to respond however they see fit (in accordance with the law and the website's terms and conditions, of course). Reblogging my posts to tell me how wrong I am is totally valid. There's nothing wrong with that. Nothing different from what I did in the above example. Nothing I didn't invite.

But I would appreciate it if people remembered the fact that, no matter what led anyone to believe otherwise, I am actually not a heavy influence around here. Maybe other people who do get a lot of engagement are anxious of the influence my snark might generate, but I guarantee you that any disagreement is probably starting and ending with me (or maybe like one other person). Furthermore, I am allowed to participate in discourse, whether or not my opinions align with widely-accepted fanon.

Anyway this post is not to shame anyone nor call anyone out. Even if I wanted to do that, I clearly lack the influence. This post is merely meant to share my stance on recent events in order to protect my image and my mental wellbeing. That's it. <3

what made you pick up the muse you have ? : stares at the roster: ...uhhh...well, maria i chose in a toss up at first between testing out between her and ana, but went with maria because i have a habit of picking up muses that are usually challenging to write from the start -- in this case being, how do you develop for a muse who haunts the narrative rather than is directly part of it. i also just enjoy taking and really going wild with the personal interpretation routes on characters, picking specific points and running with them which i did with maria, and which i did with danny and then nancy. just enjoy scruffing characters with just enough or barely anything to them and going wild. its like having a template at first lmao. and then my remake tcsm muses were picked up because im a 03-06 remakes truther, i just enjoy it more than i do the concept for the original timeline. i enjoyed the dynamics of the hewitts, i loved them as characters and im happy that although they arent part of the of timeline or the games', that theres people open to writing with them and indulging in my ( & lambs ) connecting of the families into one c: birdie's been a remake oc for years on & off, and then pepper i know is a recent add & havent gone over her yet but im re-crafting them both to make them a little more intertwined into the game canon (: but maria's my main muse because she'd just been so easy to write? which i havent had a muse take up so much headspace in some time now but i truly do adore her so much.

is there anything you really enjoy writing ? : unfortunately angst and darker themes to a point are my go-to's. im big on looking at complicated thought processes, on traumas, on grief and rage and how both manifest differently. im out of practice on alot due to writers block but i do remember a time when i was big on writing g.ore more viscerally than i currently do, but that was mostly one-on-one with a writing partner offsite. but i enjoy and typically am more interested in darker plots or connections; but im also a sucker for icky-sweet and endearing themes too c; i just often find myself feeling off about it at the start because i feel i come across cringy at times and i typically second-guess alot of the softer prompts i try writing for lmao but once certain dynamics get formed and im more familiar with who im writing with then it becomes easier c: its partly why im slower to ship with.

is there anything you don't like to write ? : i wont write Certain Brands of darker themes and i prefer not having them on the dash so i usually just wont follow if i see them being written by current or potential mutuals. but otherwise, theres not a whole lot that im exactly against writing. i wont really write usfw content unless ive been writing with someone long enough to feel comfortable with them ooc & if theres at least some chemistry between muses. everything else is just dependent i guess.

how do you come up with your headcanons ? : alot of it just comes in swinging, others are influenced and thought up following someone on the dash bringing up something or there being a random post that got reblogged / spotted that inspires it. some of it comes from just brainrotting backstory info, some of its from tt audio edits lmao or just tt in general sometimes. but ive written a whole mess of different types of characters, and sometimes certain aspects of past ones i feel can fit into current and so bits and pieces of those older characters sometimes get adopted into my portrayals here c:

do you write in silence or listen to music ? : depends!! alot of music DOES inspire alot of the writing! but oftentimes actively listening to music as i write distracts me too much. so ill often instead put on specifc songs in a queue to get myself in that vibe headspace for what im planning to write and and turn it off and dive in -- when, of course, the writers block fuckin' lets me write- lmao

do you plan your replies or wing them ? : i sometimes toss in little notes to myself in the drafts as i set them up, but otherwise? not really. im an A-thru-Z writer -- meaning alot of the time, when i start a draft i either write it out start to finish in one go, or thats the only one ill focus on to try and finish. if i bounce around between drafts like most people do i usually burn myself out for whatever reason. usually if i cant finish it in one session though i have a hard time revisiting it another day, because i lost that initial fuel for writing it through all the way. which is also part of why im fairly slow with replies, im sowwy- ;w;

ive just been thinking about it so here are my initial thoughts

fucking marrok man. like wtf. i was legitimately excited for this guy, even though he kinda seemed like a one-note character, i was so excited to see what being an inquisitor was like after the empire was defeated, like it's almost a reversal of order 66 and now the hunters become the hunted. and if filoni has proven one thing, it's that making one-note characters more complex is kind of his specialty. but i GUESS NOT

the ahsoka-baylan duel...it was just not enjoyable for me. my interpretation is that they were trying for something similar to what obi-wan and maul did on tatooine in rebels, where they used lightsaber stances as non-verbal communication. in rebels it was obi-wan assuming his prequels/cw pose, then his original trilogy pose, then the pose that qui-gon used when maul killed him. maul thought he could use the same attack he did when he killed qui-gon, and his immediate defeat shows how obi-wan has thought about that day for years and years, and how he's always learning from his past, whereas maul only thinks about his past as a source of anger and motivation for revenge. in ahsoka they might have been using the stances to sort of gauge each other's knowledge of the jedi traditions, and i appreciate the different uses of this heavy reliance on star wars lore, but the payoff doesn't seem so satisfying. ahsoka dismisses talking about her past (and tbf, why wouldnt she, like this guy is trying to start another galaxy wide war) so we don't really get anything out of it all *SO FAR* i really hope the relationship between her and baylan evolves and this lightsaber thing becomes more important, but on the surface right now it just felt like another sorta boring lightsaber fight. but i would absolutely love to hear other people's thoughts on this and ill probably edit this once more people have seen it and posted about it

also where's zeb. we saw him in the mandalorian, we know he's there. where are you hiding him. we know he knows paul sun-hyung lee (i forgot his characters name). he would absolutely have come with hera. also morai

im usually a pretty conservative shipper, like i don't really care about ships (as long as they're ethical lmao) i just don't really engage with that part of fandom. i could get behind luke and ezra being together, there's some cool sun and moon imagery there and they sort of have contrasting stories, as @hashtagloveloses said once. zeb and kallus i don't mind either. but barrissoka is my everything. it is the one ship that i want to see SOOO BADLY FUCCCKK PLEASE DAVE YOU SAID YOU HAVE PLANS FOR BARRISS LIKE TEN YEARS AGO PLEASEE

but yeah shin and sabine would be pretty cool too, there's definitely a lot of tension there and even though we don't know much about her (i really want to learn more) it would be cool to see shin have someone truly care about her, not be her boss or anything, and have sabine learn to lean more into honesty expressing her affection, since she's always been really stoic and i think shin would need that sincerity in a relationship

and i already mentioned anakin in another post but fuck im so happy to see hayden chritsensen again man. even if his story is lackluster (which oh my god i hope it's not) im so happy to see him again ❤️

i also really hope anakin brings up some character development/exploration for ahsoka cause like. what has she been doing. this is probably the biggest problem i have with this show so far, or at least second biggest lmao. i like that they're taking time to explore different characters and relationships in the universe, but i really want to see ahsoka get more time to shine. when put in a leadership position, she's always been a little more serious (character development from that one time she led a while squad to their deaths cause she was careless), like when she was with the younglings when they got their kyber crystals, but that doesn't mean she's invincible/unfeeling. she has lots of feelings about anakin and obi-wan and ezra and sabine, and i really want to see them!! when she said it's better to destroy the map and lose ezra than let thrawn return and start a war, i want to see her struggle with that like sabine does because she misses ezra too! i get that she didn't want to talk about anakin with baylan but let her talk about him with someone else! hopefully her world between worlds experience will help with that. some of the most solid development we've seen with her so far is being upset by how much she's let people down, ie anakin, sabine. and baylan tries to play into that to make her feel bad. i feel like that certainly will be explored more but fuck. it's about time.

i also want to see her relationship with the jedi more fully explored. i had always assumed that, while she was deeply affected by order 66, she didn't regret her decision to leave the jedi order. i thought that barriss had shown her some of the problems with it, and that her supporting the siege of mandalore showed that she was able to pursue what she thought was important, not the jedi order who were being heavily controlled by the senate and the politics of the time. but she seems to feel guilty about the fact that she's not a jedi? that she somehow let them down by not confirming to a system she no longer believed in? idk if i just made that up in my head cause i like to think of it that way and that my hradcanon is interfering with my enjoyment of this show lmao, someone please tell me if it is

another big problem i have with the show so far is how much it relies on the audience being invested in these stories to supply dramatic weight. and i don't mean in the way that it doesn't explain who sabine, ahsoka, hera, jacen, etc. are, this is obviously a show specifically for cw and rebels fans and im all the way here for it. i mean theres very little substance here, it feels like mostly biding time until ezra and thrawn show up. like we're 4 episodes in and we've seen some relationship development for ahsoka and sabine, a bit of hinting at a backstory for baylan, and...a lot of good guy v bad guy race for the special map, which just isn't very enthralling cause we know someone's gonna get to thrawn and ezra, we all saw lars mikkelson in the trailer. what i really want to see developed is his response to him being seen as a sort of messiah that will bring the empire back. or why baylan is so certain thrawn will start another war, or still be loyal to the empire at all with their power, and therefore political value to the chiss, as well as palpatine, who was sort of keeping him in line, gone. i want something substantial out of these stories were invested in, not just fodder for "ooh who are we gonna see next?"

also how much you wanna bet that ahsoka uses the world between worlds to get to thrawn. like its lines and shit appear in the credits so it's probably important

but yeah that's about all im thinking about right now hopefully next episode is crazy, cause it sure is shaping up to be a doozy

I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT JIN'S EMAIL TO HER IN TEK 4 LMAO orz I'm sorry. But yeah I agree with you. I also think he didn't tell her all the details likely for those reasons. But he told her enough to warn her and give her an idea of what kind of person Heihachi was. Which makes her attitude in Tekken 5 all the more confusing. I'm guessing Jin was so confused because he swore he had told her Heihachi was a pos, still does and yet here she is trying to go back in time lol. I think that's the game where things start to get worse with the writing. Granted Tekken has never had top writing but still. It actually makes me a bit sad because I was introduced to the games with 5 and I'm very fond of it (bc nostalgia but anyway)

A lot of shit happens in the Tekken series, and it makes it easier to forget it when the game's plagued with inconsistent writing. Hell, there are many things forgotten or straight up misconceptions within the fandom. (Many people still believe Kazuya made a deal with the devil to not die as a kid, but that only happened in the OVA) HELL, even I sometimes forget certain things, and I end up making headcanon posts that don't comply to canon just because I forgot about something. 😅

I looked it up for more info regarding the "email" Jin sent, according to some sources (such as the PAL version of the manual) Jin told her he suspected Heihachi was gonna have her assassinated...? Whiiich unsure if that's just a mistranslation from the PAL edition or not because I don't see why Heihachi would do that. He did it to Jin because Jin was no longer of use, he never cared about Jin, and Jin has the devil gene. But Xiao hasn't really done anything to warrant an assassination, unless Heihachi feared she'll uncover the truth regarding Jin's disappearance, and turn on him. But again, I'm unsure if this is true, or if the PAL version just added more because they thought "dangers" was too vague, or assumed that's what it meant when talking about the dangers. But who knows, we all also know how wonky the official translations of the series can be.

There's also a lot of issues with time travel. Such as, even if Xiao had succeeded, it'd be a possibility that Jin would've never been born. (After all, Jun only met Kaz due to his shady treatment of wildlife animals). But I won't delve too much into this just because it's just a silly story that means little. I don't even know how canon it is, considering that Xiao's ending in general isn't canon I don't think. Time travel, I'm pretty sure, is still not something that can canonically be done in the lore LOL.

Oh, Tekken 5 may be my favorite Tek game. (It's in the top three along with Tek3 and Tag 2) But I also very much enjoy Tekken 6 and we all know how I feel regarding its story. Basically, Tekken games can be very fun but not have the story that matches their quality of gameplay LOL. And I belieeeeve I wrote here very recently that 5 was the start of the atrocious writing. Although Jin was still relatively in character in 5, it did set up his villain arc with the ending. Xiao was flanderized to hell as we've discussed. Characters that didn't have joke endings before now have them (see Heihachi and Lei, probs more that I'm not thinking about rn) which set up the premise of not taking most of the cast seriously. (Tek7 DEFINITELY had an issue with most endings being pointless and comedic) So yeah, whilst Tek5 wasn't as bad as Tek6 in terms of story, it was suffering symptoms of it. Like a pre-illness or something LOL.

Tek3 was actually the first I was introduced to. My brothers CLAIMED we played Tek5 as kids because we rented it before when it was new...? But oddly I have like ZERO memories of it. I only remember playing Tek3, Tag 1, and Tek4. Which I played Tek4 very little because as a kid, I saw the limited amount of characters and thought "why would I play this when I can play Tag 1 with LOTS of characters...?" xD
