First day of college is tomorrow so
Team Miraculous Headcanons!
(Note: I feel like the temp heros arent fleshed out as much so im only talking about their role on the team and the difference between their civilian and hero persona.)
Ladybug & Chat Noir: you already know.
Rena Rouge & Carapace: Just like the two lovebirds up there, I think there personalities swap in their hero personas. While Alya is the more rational one and Nino the coming up with crazy ideas, Rena is the crazy idea girl and Carapace is the one that wants everyone to think things through. In combat, Carapace is a frontliner like Chat Noir but with meatshield bent. Rena rarely sees combat because she's more of a mission control/guy in the chair/Navigator and yes I can randomly make persona references that supports the team from the shadows with illusions and spying on the villain.
Queen Bee: This might contradict canon but idc, Queen Bee is nice! Like yeah, she still insults her teammates, but not to their faces anymore! Chloe's making an effort to not be bad and she's failing, but it's the thought that counts right? In battle, Chloe is just doing her best Ladybug impression and it's not too bad.
Vesperia: If Queen Bee is Chloe trying to be nice, then Vesperia is Zoe being a savage! The girl has a lot of pent up anger from living with Audrey and Chloe at the same time, so she deserves to cut loose a bit. Vesperia is one of the heroes that uses the most taunts and insults against villains, sometimes to bait them but most of the time it's just her being a little bad. She's a frontliner but with an emphasis on dodging hits and grabbing attention.
Viperion: Luka is approachable, Viperion is not. He has creepy eyes and half of Paris is convinced he's psychic and can read minds (which isn't entirely wrong, he just reads emotions). The bad rep dosen't bother Luka too much, but it gets annoying when his teammates are scared of him.
Pegasus: Despite being a nerd, Max really isn't an uptight person. As long as something dosen't endanger himself, he's open to trying new things. Pegasus isn't. He lowkey believes he's surrounded by idiots including Ladybug (but he obeys her orders cause she hasn't really lost yet). Half of Paris is also terrified by him because he's able to pull off Batman levels of big brain during a fight.
King Monkey: Most of the temp's hero personas have different personalities but King monkey really is just Kim in monkey suit. Max has lowkey sussed out his identity, Kim suspects nothing.
Ryuko: Kagami is calm, which is why no one has figured out her identity because Ryuko is cRaZy. She's like one of those middle schoolers pretending to be their favorite anime character but WITH REAL POWERS! Villains are also scared of her because she has like 3 powers for some reason.
Purple Tigress: What more can I add? We all saw her: a raging cat lesbian. She's a berserker!
Pigella: She's like that one "threatening positivity" post: you will feel better, you have no choice >:)". the Love square between her and Tigress is real also. In fight she's like those really annoying spell casters that hypnotize your party members.
Miss Hound: When Sabrina transforms she just goes full Chloe! All the years of being mistreated come out as her being 10× meaner than any other hero! Miss Hound dodges a villains attack? "And thats why your useless, utterly useless!" She and Vesperia are besties!

Hey, it’s your least favorite anon. I wanted to ask you about the different rivalries in your AU. I know there is Jeff vs Jane and Slenderman vs Zalgo but I was curious if there was others?
-Your least favorite Anon
ooo this is a good question.. i havent thought too much about this before i started writing so this is just my thought process as i go LOL
the operator vs slenderman is THE BIGGEST rivalry there is in my au. them fighting is what drives half the cast
toby and the rake have CRAZY BEEF toby has a MASSIVE claw-mark scar down his back from the rake. he's literally wrestled on the ground with the rake and beaten it with a stick. he wants to kill it but he never can LMFAOOO its like a fucking looney tunes bit. maybe even tom and jerry. toby is tom.
toby also doesnt like sally very much, again bc ghosts scare him (lyra reminders) and bc sallys mean to him. sally doesnt like him cuz he's mean in return LOL
jack and tim dont have a rivalry exactly but tim is kinda meaner to jack on the basis of jack being a demon. thinks less of him cuz of it. jack knows he does, but doesnt do anything about it
nina does eventually hate jeff, but she's a bit tied up since she's now friends with the proxies, but the proxies rely on ben, and bens besties with jeff, so nobody can touch jeff without pissing off the proxies.
im obsessed w ninakate now cuz lesbianism, BUT they arent canon in my au since i dont want any relationships (besides mary and jane) to be canon/'endgame'.. BUT IN AN AU WHERE EVERYTHINGS THE SAME BUT I CANONIZE NINAKATE nina would be hard beefing with ann . i literally just drew a comic today about nina following kate on a patrol, kate finds ann, and nina gets all upset and antsy about ann 'flirting' w kate. LOL. SO NINA AND ANN R HATERS. i think ill make them hate eachother in my normal au too.
honestly i tone down the jeff vs jane rivalry a lot. for a lot of years she is driven by hatred and wanting justice, but she eventually starts to settle down with her wife, accepts that it is unlikely jeff will be brought to justice once she learns about the paranormal involvement, and focuses on helping families with cases that can be brought to justice. . .
everyone kinda beefs w jeff besides ben. jeffs incredibly lucky that ben is so useful in retrieving/deleting police files, cctv footage, black market shit, credit card info... etc etc , otherwise they'd have killed jeff. but alas. cannot upset the little boy

Do you mind if I ask your top 5 (or top 7) favorite BL and your top 3 (or top 5) favorite GL? And why do you love them? It can be from any media : books, manga, anime, manhwa, tv series or movies.....
Hard question again! I'm going to do 7 for GL and 7 for BL, again under the cut!
In no particular order:
GL:
Revolutionary Girl Utena - is including it on this list cheating since it's not primarily GL? I don't care, it's too good to not recommend. A teenage tomboy fencer gets 'engaged' to a mysterious girl by winning a duel, many more duels happen alongside symbolism, feminist messages and a really mature handling of topics like depression and abuse. REALLY dark though, but worth it! Deserves its place as one of the classic anime.
Bloom into you - incredible handling of internalised homophobia, first love, high school relationships both in the platonic and romantic sense and golden child syndrome. A heartwarming but occasionally heartwrenching story that felt very real. Bonus points for the author actually being a sapphic woman.
The Handmaiden - sapphic thriller from Korea set in the early 1900's! Dark but incredibly engaging, surprisingly happy and hopeful despite how much the girls have to suffer to get their happily ever after. The book it's based on, The Fingersmith, was also great!
GAP - Thailand's first GL series and got so popular there are now multiple other projects coming this & next year! The protagonist is a uni graduate hired in her idol's company only to discover the lady is both meaner and hotter than she thought. Lesbian crisis and full-on romcom shenanigans follow, though the series also comments on traditional family values in Thailand acting as an excuse for homophobia (the idol, Sam, is in an arranged engagement to a man as ordered by her grandma). Don't worry though, the show is mostly very fun and light & ends very very happily for the ladies.
Whisper Me a Love Song - look, as a former band kid I can't not mention the band lesbians manga. It's a highschool romance full of miscommunication and funny/cute shenanigans with occasional sadness to balance it all out. Very relaxing. It's getting an anime adaptation next year so looking forward to that!
Riddle Story of Devil - as an action series fan this was pretty incredible. A school full of assasins, everyone is sapphic and they're all badasses? High school me was obsessed and I still am. The manga is much better though, the anime is both way less gay and develops the characters much less due to the story being compressed into 12 episodes.
Legend of Yunqian - short fantasy drama from a small Chinese studio, it's about a regular young lady going back in time via a magic fan and falling for a magical warrior woman. Lovely and available on Youtube for free!
Honorary mentions: Flip Flappers (anime), Clear and muddy loss of love (novel), She likes to cook and she likes to eat (manga & TV series)
BL:
Heaven Official's Blessing - come on, it's incredible. Dark fantasy with immortal love that breaks even the most powerful curses, a complex and deeply human protagonist, a lot of emotional moments and incredible use of flashbacks to slowly reveal his backstory to the readers- what's not to love? Just a warning, when I say it's dark fantasy I'm not kidding. The series has funny and light moments but when shit gets real, it gets REAL.
No.6 - just like RGU isn't technically GL, this isn't technically BL but I am gonna talk about anyway, it's incredible. It's a dystopian sci-fi story about Shion, a teenager who discovers a government conspiracy and works to stop it alongside his new friend/love interest Nezumi. It treats the gay relationship super casually, there's no sexuality angst or anything, it was super refreshing! Read the novels though, the anime compressed the story a lot.
The Untamed/Mo Dao Zu Shi - love the intrigue, love the main romance, love the fantasy elements! My first Chinese series and one I hold dear for introducing me to the wuxia (Chinese fantasy) genre. Any version of the story is great but I'd recommend to start with the series and then read the books.
Kinnporsche - it's deeply insane and I love it for that. Everyone is gay, everyone commits crimes (they're in the mafia, so. Yeah) and it makes for a really entertaining show even if its darker elements aren't always super well handled.
Not me the series - Motorcycle gang of young anarchists against corruption! Very radical and critical of capitalism and the police system, engaging and fast paced. The director/showrunner is a trans activist/filmmaker so it's not like she doesn't know what she's talking about. It's very universal so I'd recommend it even to people who normally don't watch BL. One minus point for minor queerbaiting with 2 side characters, nothing major but it did bother me a bit + felt unnecessary in a series full of queer characters.
Cherry magic - queer office romance + mind reading! If that combination sounds interesting please do check it out, it was super cute. Bonus for very realistically human protags and an explicitly aroace side character.
Semantic error - opposites attract-type romance between an introverted, collected STEM prodigy and an extroverted art student partnered together for a project. The protagonist is autistic and written pretty well so I latched onto the show immediately, bonus points for side queer representation (bi character who's a super cool and pretty lady, love her).
Honorary mentions: Word of Honor (series), Yuri on ice (anime, only homoerotic sports anime to make the gay explicit, iconic), Nobleman Ryu's wedding (series, short but v heartwarming!)

FINALE THOUGHTS.........AAAUAUGHKGHSLFJSLJFSLJFSLFJSLFJ
i’m fuckin floored.
i’ve been feeling this way since the first episode, but it really and truly feels like i finally got to experience the last of us the way people did in 2013. i was so late to the series. i’d watched the cutscene movie before, but i only really played the first game AFTER i played the second.
i acknowledge the things they got wrong about story, the pacing issues, the misunderstanding of ellie’s character in ep 8, but this show is so, so special to me. to see these characters in a whole new light, re-examined for the new medium, was everything i could’ve ever wanted from anything in the franchise.
when i got hyperfixated to tlou in 2020, i didn’t really know exactly why. i thought, “maybe it’s because i’m a pandemic and so are they, ellie’s a lesbian who has a complex relationship with her father, and so am i.” but now i know that it’s because it’s a dark game about a dark world where dark things happen BUT it’s not about the “darkness of humanity” like everyone says; it’s about love. that’s all it’s ever been about. that’s the beauty of the series.
(sure hope i’m not sounding like craig when i talk about it like that lol)
i don’t really know why i doubted whether or not they could pull off the last stretch in 44 min, but they did; in fact, they knocked it outta the fuckin park. obviously, it felt much longer in the game because of gameplay segments. the episode itself felt like it ran for just as long as it needed to.
we got the good ellie and joel bonding bits! these really showcased what we can’t really see in the game. what’s artful about the game is that during the parts where ellie is spacing out because of what happened in colorado, the story relies on us observing how different she is from before and feeling that sadness that what had happened changed her, with joel and in his stead; in the show, however, it’s all joel. we get to see his sadness over seeing how different she is and that’s the strength of the show. the fact that joel’s emotions and feelings are emphasized and used as the narrative driving force for what he does in the final act. i think i’ll be defending these changes in character for the rest of my fuckin life.
side tangent: i love the subtle differences between game-ellie and show-ellie. i talked a LOT about the differences between the joel’s, but never really the ellie’s. in the scene where joel and ellie look at the giraffes, game-ellie is so optimistic about her “purpose” to the point of brushing off the potential consequences joel brings up. show-ellie is quietly hopeful, more reserved. both reacts fit their versions; game-ellie focused a lot on the bright side, whereas show-ellie’s trauma is entirely different because of the different and admittedly minor circumstances presented by the show. with that, we’re able to see how different the outcomes where and i think it’s fascinating.
it’s strange to think about, since ellie’s whole thing is being a brash kid, but overall, game-ellie was more apologetic, squeamish in a flighty kinda way, and anxious. show-ellie is meaner, more ferocious, more foolhardy; it’s like they jacked her characteristics up a few points. i like this new vision of her a whollllle lot. there’s really no beating her being played by an actual kid too. major plus.
back to the episode. the star of the show was obviously the big scene in the hospital. i LOVE this scene. you’re not in joel’s shoes this time. you have to watch him kill every. single. person. that he encounters in the hospital. it’s different to play the video game and do this yourself because you’re meant to be joel; now you have to watch what you probably did (if you played the game), free of control of the situation, and witness the weight of this decision. it’s shot to gruesome and horrifying that this one guy is killing an entire building of people.
and it’s only further shown how monstrous the act is when joel enters the surgery room and speaks in monotone, like he’s a machine on autopilot.
from there, the episode plays out pretty much the same way it does in the game (EXCEPT for joel’s lie. which i found interesting. like what is this change going to do later on?) and it ends just as beautiful. no extra scenes. just the cut to the credits. what a show.
this post is already long but i find it funny how in the bts, bella’s like, “ellie knows he’s lying,” probably because that was what neil intended from the getgo and he informed them of this, but it’s so crazy because people spent years debating what it meant (which, again, i missed out on and will never know the complexity of because i played part first 😋✌). def one of the those moments where i envy the people going in blind because i’d lose my mind.
ANYWAY. really great show. i loved it soooo much. i give it a 9. generous i know but it’s tlou, cmon. cannot waitttttt for season 2 and for people to shit themselves all over again in anger.

10 QL People That I Want Carnally
was tagged by @sandrayy, started brainstorming, had a mild sexuality crisis, et voila ~ gayer than anticipated ~ !
Manaow & Gyoza (Love Senior)
Tumblr media
look i cant just pick one theyre both gorgeous dorks speedrunning their relationship at lesbian bisexual speed. naow gets points taken off for saying gyo is prettier without her glasses tho.
Sand (The Sign)
Tumblr media
yes i know she's a side character whos had like 10 minutes screen time but damn if i didnt understand yais simphood the second she appeared
Nita (Hidden Agenda)
Tumblr media
she kind of got reduced to a plot device somewhere along the way but nita still managed to be a great character who is smart and beautiful and confident and loves her friends so much
Pearmai (Be My Favourite)
Tumblr media
was impossible to find a gif of her not looking devastated but i tried. when i read the plot synopsis of bmf i thought it was dumb. like who time travels for a crush?? it took about 90 minutes for me to understand the error of my ways. i too would time travel for a chance with pearmai.
Tae (KinnPorsche)
Tumblr media
do i want him or do i want to be him? yes. the answer is yes. i want his gender and i want him.
Miw (3 Will Be Free)
Tumblr media
okay listen. liSTEN! i knOW she already has two boyfriends bUT i could be her boyfriend too. i would probably not be a better boyfriend than them, but i would treat her so right.
Win (Until We Meet Again/Between Us)
Tumblr media
he wants you to think hes cool. that hes got game. and maybe he does. he did get team into bed in record time taking the straightforward approach. hes not cool. hes a sweetheart loser dork middle child with a hia kink and a dick that cures insomnia.
Thanya (Never Let Me Go)
Tumblr media
i'm gonna say it. we need more milfs in bl. thats all i have to say on the topic.
Jung One (She Makes My Heart Flutter)
Tumblr media
look like more than half the characters in this series could have made this list but jung one is something else. an older lesbian terrified to come out to her family finding strength in her out and proud lesbian niece? amazing. being so hot the married "straight" interior designer of your lesbian bar leaves her husband and haunts said bar for the next few years? incredible.
Choi Yu Na (Semantic Error)
Tumblr media
shes the meaner bisexualer bisexual behind your favourite bisexuals. our relationship would look so toxic from the outside bc we'd just be hurling insults at each other. little do you know thats our love language. she'd call me a dick and i'd call her a cunt and then we'd kiss.
thought this would have a more even gender distribution, thus the crisis, but we good now, women are just hot. not tagging anyone bc i spent a very long time narrowing this list and i just want to post it and not think more <3

GAP the Series Ep 10 Stray Thoughts
Last time, Sam had to make things right with Mon after calling her a whore the previous episode. After reuniting, Mon took charge sexually and rearranged Sam's entire life. Kirk's secret involvement with Sam's competitor came to light, and Sam ended things with Kirk. Meanwhile, the no-dating rule has been pushed to its limits. Finally, Sam and Mon took a trip to the beach and got some direct words from an elder butch (who I love).
Yes, let's recap Cher handing them their asses. Get it together, baby gays.
I don't remember the intro song changing last week.
So glad we have slightly-older lesbians in this to give Mon perspective. I don't care if they're being used to quicky push past certain emotional hurdles; that's the whole point of having experienced friends in the community.
When Sam hung up and the grandmother turned, I half-expected a cut to one or more of Sam's friends tied up in the room.
Kirk gets no points from me for not outing Sam. Rushing to the grandmother is a lame move.
I get Sam's insecurity. She doesn't want to face her grandmother is she isn't sure Mon is all in.
FINALLY! TEE AND YUKI NATION RISE!!
Risa and Cher deserve to fuck uninterrupted. I'm gonna need Mon to read the room and come back later.
"every friend group should include a bimbo, a mean bisexual, an even meaner lesbian, she/theys and he/theys, a token straight that’s on thin ice, an astrology bitch who has everyone’s birth chart memorized, and a short king"
I need Sam and Cher to fight for real. It would be amazing.
Why are Tee and Yuki not participating in the lantern ceremony??
Look at the power lesbians have. It took Cutie Pie 14 episodes over two series to get married. It took Korn and Knock three seasons.
Tee and Yuki may not have danced together, but Tee did team up with Cher to dunk Yuki in the pool and that feels correct.
Becky looks great in not-pink.
Oh shit it's Nueng.
Oh, Nueng is kinda harsh, but I get it.
So the grandmother shows up, lists off some basic biographical information about Mon, insinuates that she's a gold digger, asks a rhetorical question, and then we cut away to the Thai old money house. "I've taken care of that girl." Did she just fridge Mon? Did she choke her out with that necklace of braided pearls?Shit!
I'm so sick of these people holding Mon's job over her head. Kirk is so weak and petty here. .
The death stairs are getting so much use in this show.
Oh, Nop, you may be a pick-me ass dude, but at least you're trying.
Mon, you better answer the goddamn phone when your wife is calling.
You just knew Sam was gonna pop up at that gate. I hope she doesn't kill Nop this time.
This foyer scene is making me think about Kill Bill. If a bunch of dudes had come stomping in with swords I would have lost it.
Maximum angst next week.

hi.... do you have any lesbian wolfstar thoughts brewing in your head? Asking for a friend
I know this probably isn't at all what you were looking for but it's where my brain is for writing, so now I'm just thinking about lesbian wolfstar in marginalia. and how they'd both be like 10x meaner to each other from the word go but also maybe get their shit together sooner because sirius probably has an arranged marriage coming up and is feeling just as trapped and small as andy does in hb because being a pureblood woman in that society is fucking stifling and idk maybe that would change remus's perception of her more quickly or maybe not but yeah okay fuck.

Double Trouble Sexual Orientation Headcanons
I don’t know what inspired me to make this post, I just wanted to share my thoughts and the general vibes of various sexuality headcanons about our favorite enby lizard. Keep in mind, these are just my opinions, and they’re not backed up by evidence. This is all in good fun.
Under a cut because this might get long
Yes, I know that Jacob Tobia referred to them as gay in a tweet, and the SPOP Wiki lists them as Achillean based on this, but I’d argue this doesn’t technically count as canon, since it was never established in the show itself (the only possible mention being them calling Sea Hawk “Hot Stuff”), so I think people’s headcanons and non-achillean ships are perfectly valid. That said, I’m not against the idea of them being gay, and I can definitely see it.
Gay/Achillean: This definitely holds up. DT is a theatre kid, after all, and we all know theatre kids are gay (joking). They have big twink energy, and of course, the classic “That’s your cue, Hot Stuff.” Some of my favorite DT ships are with men (Bow, Wrong Hordak, Peekablue, and Sea Hawk). However, I still think they have good chemistry with Catra, and I personally like the headcanon that they had a crush on her and may have felt bitter at being second-best to Adora, thus fueling a bit of the meaner parts of their betrayal. I still imagine them with a preference for men, but I don’t think women are out of the running.
Lesbian/Sapphic: This one’s a lot less common. I’ve actually only seen one person headcanon this, though there may be a few more. They don’t quite give me lesbian vibes, but they do seem to have chemistry with Catra, and I like several ships involving DT with a woman (such as Catra, Adora, and Scorpia).
Bi/Pan/Omni/Poly: This is my personal headcanon and has been ever since I got to know the character. They just seem like the kind of person who has lots of affection to go around (whether this is romantic or sexual is up to you). I lean more towards bi or omni for them because, as I said, I feel like they have a preference for men, but I feel like they get crushes on women, too. Though, let’s be real, it’s more likely for people to crush on DT than the other way around. They KNOW they’re the hottest bitch on Etheria!
Aspec/Arospec: Another one of my personal favorites. Yes, I’m biased, since I’m ace, but COME ON, it’d be such a glorious defiance of expectations and stereotypes, and DT would live for the chaos they’d cause by oozing sexual energy and not being interested in doing a thing about it. They’d be this untouchable, irresistible them fatale and OWN IT. But I feel like they’d also be fun as an aroace because of their ability to read people. They’ve got it down to a science, and logically analyzing romance/sexual attraction in an attempt to understand it is SUCH an aroace mood. They also seem like the type who just wouldn’t be interested in dating, and as I said, it’d be great if this gorgeous, smooth-talking, flirtatious lizard in a skin-tight outfit wasn’t interested in sex. What a power move! Of course, you could also see them as ace and alloromantic, gray ace, demi, allosexual aro, etc. I like the idea of aroace DT as much as ace DT who DOES date. As for their intimate life, maybe they do, maybe they don’t, maybe they do and just don’t care much about it one way or the other, maybe they do only under specific circumstances—there’s a whole variety of ways an aspec and/or arospec DT can be written, and I think it’s one of the most interesting interpretations of this character!
Polyamorous: I mean. Obviously. DT is so easy to ship, so you might as well make them date everyone XD. But seriously, I love this headcanon and think it fits them very well, and it’s one that I include in daydreams and the few fanfic things I’ve written.

🗣 - Been thinking about Mean Girl Skwisgaar in the HM!Toki universe. And like, how she would probably be one of those girls that is a lot tougher than she looks when it comes to being talked down to or just plain bullying, but she isnt afraid to manipulate Toki into doing her dirty work for her.
I.E. Skwisgaar is being talked down to by some rando assholes about her guitar playing, which she could give less than 0 shits about, but the moment Toki is within earshot, will immediately start sobbing and calling for her (Especially "Daddy!"), and really ramp up about how mean these people were to her while Toki is like .5 seconds to commiting murder. And Skwisgaar is giving them the "Cat that got the cream" look over Toki's shoulder, knowing full well that Toki is about to rock their shit. Toki is also obviously coo-ing over Skwisgaar this whole time, calling her Princess and Baby and how shes gonna make them sorry. Idk, just a thought.
i definitely see it, yes! i mean, i think of skwisgaar in canon a lot, someone who is often reduced to just being the mean one in the fandom (and sometimes i joke about skwisgaar being a mean lesbian, ffs, my skwisgaar folder is titled "mean dyke images"). but skwisgaar isn't actually mean, or at least isn't meaner than anyone else in dethklok, just blunt and sarcastic. SO applying this to skwisgirl, i would see it being the same. she would roll her eyes, maybe make a dismissive quip, look at them like this:
Tumblr media
she would not give a shit! but watching toki wreck shit is hot, what can she say? and toki totally knows what she's doing, too. but toki needs to let off some steam every once in a while.
but let's also talk about protective skwisgaar for a moment, can we? because let's all remember how skwisgaar looked when people were being mean to toki:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
that's the face of a woman who couldn't give a shit what you say about her, but you're even the tiniest bit mean to her gf? it's on sight. no, it doesn't matter if skwisgaar teased toki with something even worse, the claws are coming OUT.

We don’t have inner communication in the sense that like, I “hear” other thoughts. All thoughts kind of sound like mine, but I know they’re supposed to be read with “different tones” if that makes sense? Like I can tell when one alter is Thinking but I know even though his thoughts sound like my thoughts, it’s meant to be heard with a deeper voice. In PRACTICE, it sounds like mine. But it’s supposed to be deeper and when he uses me to talk Physically, with our vocal cords, (we talk out loud to ourselves a lot more than in our brain), our voice starts to deepen (or tries to). Same for one of our other alters, she’s a lot girlier than I am, meaner, more egoic, vindictive (I love her and fortunately she is not like this To me), and has a much more feminine mannerisms and cadence.
I myself am very neutral, voidlike, masc but not a guy, genderfluid but almost always in like an emo-jock way whereas alter 1 is a lot more heaaaavy punk rock, thrasher, belongs in a moshpit, and alter 2 is definitely like. Regina George. Very girly, pretty colors, pink/light blue. We have more alters but these two are the more drastic extremes that make me feel less like I’m faking. They’re also completely different in terms of sexual orientation (which gets so confusing for me as cohost who is almost always cocon to suddenly change my mind about who and what I find attractive), with 1 being a gay man and 2 being a lesbian.
(The rest of us fall somewhere between aro, bi, and ace. I myself have NO clue what I am because I didn’t realize passive influence fucked up my understanding of attraction that badly so idk what my sexuality is outside someone in the upstairs influencing me, I’ve been going with arospec bi ace cause what the fuck.).
But the weirdness of inner communication makes me feel weird and invalid. Nobody really Talks over each other in the way I read about people’s experiences or even my other friend w did does. For me, it’s more like violent storms of emotions coexisting until we feel compelled to Talk Out Loud. I also don’t dissociate as often and most of our switches tend to happen during deep, vivid, lucid dreaming. Sorry this is so long, it’s just a struggle to constantly feel like I’m just someone who wants “friends in head” disorder
Hey, every system is going to look different in its own way -- or for you, maybe sound different too! But keep in mind, I'm also not a "normal" system. I've got a created part, I've always have fantastic communication, I know when I split, I've always been able to switch on command...
It doesn't make me or you fake to be slightly different. And so what if you've misjudged and were wrong? So long as this current label/diagnosis/term/what have you is currently helping you recover, then you're doing well. It doesn't matter if you end up wrong, so long as you are working on growth and recovery. <3

he/him but in a very Not Cis way. The only cis person on the mills is Jana and she gets away with it by being both the mean bisexual and the even meaner lesbian at the same time, Clayton is trans. He’s very casual about it.
Grew up on the Upper West Side, around 70th-95th street, where the money is aplenty and everyone sucks! This includes his parents, who saw the Shelled One as a beneficiary and a supporter of those of Higher Class, and thought the mills were a threat to their financial standing.
His parents are cult founders, basically, but because this sentiment was shared among other collateral across the immaterial plane, there’s multiple branches of this cult that have varying reasons for forming. This includes the LAi branch, who thinks that Peenit was meant to put LA back together. This branch is headed by Clayton’s aunt, who’s daughter is Piper Legume, but we’ll get to that later.
Anyways Clayton despises his fucking family. He hates how his family makes everything about money and looks down on the people just trying to survive and the kids who are learning about and rising against the hardships in the world (which he slowly becomes as he 1. figures out he’s trans 2. realizes he’s not going to be accepted by the world and 3. gets really upset about it). The minute he can he bolts outta there and doesn’t look back.
He goes to FIT on a partial scholarship and partly on money he yanked from his fund that his parents set up for him. He loves design and fashion and especially drag. He visits Lucky Changs frequently and meets people who push him towards the Villages, specifically the West Village (where there are a metric ton of gay bars) and keeps walking east from there because he can feel something pulling at his curiosity coming that from direction. He wants to explore what he was so sheltered from growing up so he follows what almost sounds like a voice
Fucking surprise it’s Loner Shelley. She’s been in the static and between universes for decades now and she wants out so badly because she refuses to let Blaseball take her life away from her, but doesn’t mind the fact that it gave her some weird connection to the different factions of the immaterial plane. So like she’s watching people fall and is getting frustrated and then suddenly she’s in proximity enough to someone who absolutely reeks of Peanut and Rebellion. And she sets a plan into motion.
Back to Clayton. He’s on a bit of a walk on the east side near Stuy Town when he comes across this apartment building. It’s a quaint little thing with ivy crawling up the worn down brick and warm light coming from a couple of the windows. Most of all it exudes this feeling of belonging and love that nothing else has given him before.
Surprise it’s the fucking Apartment. But actually it’s Loner Shelley working in tandem with the Apartment who is in on the plan because WHY NOT
Anyways Clayton is drawn to the place but is like “is this breaking and entering” when the door fucking swings open. The lobby is empty but still feels lived in and appreciated so he goes up the single elevator at the end of it
All the while he’s like “is this weird Blaseball shit. Is this the Shelled One finally coming to kill me for betraying my family what the fuck what the fuck”
So the elevator leads to another warm and lived in hallway with gray doors lining the walls, except for the door three spots down, which is painted a vibrant baby blue
By now Clayton has basically accepted whatever fate that awaits him because he’s too far in now. Doesn’t mean he’s not freaked out. In fact he was gonna see one of his friends perform at a club later that night and now he’s worried that this will stop him from seeing it. Yes his priorities are with his friends. He’s a sap have I mentioned he’s a sap and that the Apartment went along with the plan because he exuded such familial longing that it decided to adopt him on the spot
So he walks towards the door, hears some chattering from behind it, says “what the hell” and opens it.
Four things happen at once:
He walks in on a massive argument between Jana, Benny, Jon, Stan and Duffy over what happens now that they don’t have enough players on the roster to count as a full team
Asuka Guacamole crawls out of the living room TV for the first time
A cat with a piece of paper stuck to its face jumps through the window that was closed several seconds ago
Loner Shelley uses all her power and some from the Apartment to jump into Clayton’s body, promptly making him pass out
It doesn’t entirely work. Clayton still has 90% control of his body, Shelley only has the other 10%, and can only fully gain control of it if he allows her to. Clayton is currently thoroughly freaked out and sort of pissed about the universal plan that only happened because he can’t be rid of his family so he vetos that idea and now she’s just kinda living in his head
Clayton plural momence
Benny realizes, as the guy who keeps up with the team admin shit the most, that Clayton, Asuka, Malin (who showed up earlier) and Alejandro (the cat) are now part of the mills roster, to which all four go im sorry???
But dems da rules man and Benny shows them to the four rooms that the Apartment just made. Play begins a couple weeks later, so Clayton has time to get to know people and also the perpetually tired reporter living in his head and making him lethargic.
The thing about Clayton and Shelley’s like. Situation is that their personalities end up sort of merging and reflecting off each other. Shelley’s monotone speaking and general apathy towards everything morphs into Clayton’s body developing narcolepsy. But on the other hand, Clayton’s passion and drive mixed with Shelley’s athleticism makes him a pretty decent Blaseball player. They balance each other out and end up kinda getting along. They’re not the best of friends but they stopped arguing every 20 minutes!
So that’s how things are until word reaches LAi about a player on the mills with the last name Legume, but that’s going in a reblog because this is long enough already

okay here's one for your DA OCs and the canonical LIs dfkgjsg how about Taylor + Alistair, Evanna + Isabela, aaaand Rasha + Sera?
Sierra!!! Thank you for the ask ❤ It was so much fun to think about and I wrote more about my own considerations while playing rather than from their character perspective maybe but still it was a lot of fun!! It got long so I'll put it under a readmore sdjdsj
Taylor + Alistair Okay so when I first played DAO the friend who recommended it to me was obsessed with Alistair so I was like 80% sure Id romance him on her recommendation. But then Leliana barged in and I was like wow pretty girl so then I was sure Id romance her. But then Zevran happened. Listen. He swept Taylor off her feet as much as he swept me. Taylor probably would fit just as good if not better with someone else but,, how can I resist.
SO specifically Alistair: I think Taylor was subconsciously still very wary of humans. The timing wasn’t the best, with a human man ruining her entire familys life just before a human man ripped her away from said family and putting her in a position with the mostly human grey wardens. Yes Alistair is half elven and very kind and they became friends instantly and that’s why Taylor didn’t have a nervous breakdown at Ostagar, but trauma is trauma and I don’t think Taylor could help not fully opening up to Alistair at first, even if she didn’t realize it. And I also think Taylor doesn’t consider herself an option for affection? No actually, that’s not true, she does know that she’s lovable etc but it doesn’t immediately occur to her that she’s lovable in the romantic sense. She also worked hard as a teen to not be considered an option. Someone having a crush or potential interest is so foreign to her, someone would have to be very blunt about it for it to click.
Instead, she and Alistair in my canon are very very close but more in the best friend sibling-y sense.
However, while it isn’t in my canon, I do think Taylor and Alistair could have been adorable together. Their personalities complement each other pretty well and they’d be even more grossly mushy if they were together romantically. It would definitely also change my outcome of DAO; Alistair would have absolutely not become king, and Kieran would have two moms and a dad. Thank you.
Evanna + Isabela Again, truly an option I considered in DA2. Lets go over my considerations real quick. The same friend that loved Alistair a lot also loved Fenris a lot, so instead of being sure Id romance him (like I thought with Alistair), now I was sure I wasn’t going to. Idk why. I love Fenris truly. My personal fav candidate was Anders cause I love him and that’s Taylors son, you know. But he was so annoying in da2 god bles he reminded me of one of my irl friends so much and me and my irl friend have a very good gay-bi alliance going on so that’s what I did with Evanna and Anders but then in reverse. It doesn’t have to make sense it makes sense in my head, and so Evanna was officially a lesbian. Merrill is absolutely endearing and the best and I think she understands more than anyone how Evanna struggles with relating to people.
That being said, Isabela and Evanna would be amazing together, but would also wreck Kirkwall even more than it already is wrecked. They would be unstoppable. They are the true mean bi and meaner lesbian couple that is met with awe anywhere they go. However, Evanna would not push Isabela to not be afraid of being loved anymore. Evanna isn’t that socially gifted and she wouldn’t say the right things at the right time and I just don’t think that would be right for a romantic relationship with Isabela. Evanna cares about Isabela, obviously, but I don’t think she’s got enough empathy to understand what she’s going through.
Rasha + Sera Ok so for Rasha, her being a vashoth already limited some options. The same friend who really likes Alistair and Fenris obviously also likes Cullen (Im joking. But she does.) and I wouldn’t consider him an option for Rasha even if she was an option for him. I knew in advance but was really sad that Cass wasn’t an option. Rash was being friendly galpalls (read: flirting) with Josie when the chargers mission happened and then Rasha could be a bit nicer to Bull and the rest is history. For Sera.. I don’t think she and Rasha would really match? Rasha likes and even trusts Sera (which is a huge deal for her) but I don’t think she trusts her enough to let her pull her out of her shell. Like, Rasha takes things very seriously in the inquisition and goes along with the pranks etc. cause Sera is right and things shouldn’t be serious all the time, but Rasha is very good at compartmentalizing that. I also think that Sera would get too nervous about Rasha being as paranoid as she is. Although I do agree they’d be very cute together, I don’t think they’d match.

quickly, explain everything for the people who don't know what anything is
quick recap:
John Egbert: is a dude who can move things by thinking. He can usually only move around 1 or 2 objects per thought, so he has trouble carrying out any plan unless he can figure out how to move more stuff quickly. There is a certain "chronic pain" aspect to the way his limbs act (if they do things) that makes it hard for him to have fun.
Caliborn: is John's (fictive?) evil twin with a huge ego. They both were born from the same womb but John is the "good twin" and Cal is the "bad twin." Caliborn wants to become God or something. He's also an abusive jerk and John gets very irritated by him.
Calliope: is a robot who is very smart, can move a lot of stuff with one thought, and is also John's (fictive's?) love interest and best friend. She got created so Caliborn could have a "good" evil twin -- he was worried he wasn't enough like his sibling for their shared interest in John. She is good at singing.
Dave Strider: is one of the "main" characters and a total drama dweeb. He likes cool computers, video games, etc. He and Caliborn get along poorly because they think they're the cool twin, even though they are just "good" copies of "bad" twins. He doesn't know how to talk to people so he usually only uses one-liners or raps.
Cronus: is Dave's "evil twin," and like Caliborn, can move a lot of stuff with one thought. Unlike Caliborn, though, Cronus thinks he's an awesome dude. He's an even meaner and more "bad" version of Dave. They're opposites on the "cool vs. uncool" scale. Their shared interest in Dave is a big source of tension and rivalry between them.
Rose Lalonde: is Dave's (fictive's?) love interest, and is the only "good" female character in the comic. She has big hair, dresses cute, and is a nerd. (Her glasses are "retro," in part because the story was "kind of a throwback.") She can move a lot of things per thought and doesn't think she's cool anymore, but is trying to become more like her "cooler" "siblings." A lot of her plot is about how she's trying to get better at being the "good" version of herself (which is a struggle because Dave thinks she's not cool enough to be the good version of him)
Jade Harley: is another "main" character and was created so Caliborn could have a "good" evil twin (although she's a lesbian, which is kind of a deal-breaker for Dave). She likes the "nerdy" parts of video games, has a lot of interests in common with Dave, and has a lot of badbrains. She's very insecure about her inability to control herself, but this insecurity makes her into a good person when she works at it.
Gamzee: is one of the bad twins and has a weird, abusive relationship with Caliborn. He moves things around by thinking a lot and thinks he's "cool." He's a really good liar and has lots of one-liners, but when you're talking with him his one-liners get more and more incomprehensible.
Vriska: is a kind of "evil twin," sort of. It's more like a parasitic symbiote in the sense that she is Caliborn's evil (or "bad") ego, and "his" (Caliborn's) mind. He has all of the power and none of the empathy or awareness. He can move things around with one thought.
A lot of people talk about "good vs. evil" but that misses a lot of the fun here. There are two main forces of "chronic pain," namely Caliborn and the Parasite (i.e. Vriska) who are working together in a sort of twisted version of a "good and evil" team. Calliope (John's fictive) is good, Dave Strider (fictive's) is good, the Paristy (fictives in general) is good, and all the "bad twins" are "bad." The Paristy are sort of a combination of two different "evil twins," Jade and Caliborn. I think this kind of thing has gotten away from me.

Sorry, person who sent the Amity ask here. I saw your tweet along with the blog response. Firstly, i didnt mean for my ask to be upsetting so im sorry about that.
Secondly, i kinda wanna clarify that i meant the fandom knows Amity isnt a morally good person not so much a bad character? (although yes her writing is not that great in s2 and arguably in s1 it is 'eh' handled too.)
I think the writers really could have tackled that morality issue and possibly tried to integrate Amity KNOWING her flip was selfish, it could have been an interesting s2 dynamic with Willow.
(but ofc... Hunter, who devours screen time. sorry i hate this guy, he is so pointless in every way. familial abuse? already being done with Amity. Setting up caleb? could have been done in so many other ways that didnt make characters like Gus and Willow have like no real development. showing Belos is evil? Vee is RIGHT THERE as a experimentation victim. and ykno, trying to commit genocide is a pretty big tell of e v i l.)
No need to apologize. It's not your fault and honestly, I could in theory try to hold myself back doing these and not get as emotional. I prefer how I'm doing them now because I think A: it just shows my passion for writing which... you know, it is my job, B: it shows that I'm not just doing this to prove I'm 'better' than The Owl House or any shit and C: that all of this comes from a place of... Well, sympathy to anyone else who is like me. Anyone else who adored the show and could ignore its flaws until it just turned into something so much rougher, meaner and blatantly unplanned. I agree that tackling Amity's flip as having been selfish and only around one person would have been interesting. It also would have meant painting Lumity as a non-universal good thing and that is clearly not something they want to do, despite everything they have Luz do post them getting together. They WANT that title of healthiest couple in media for their little Disney lesbians even if they've lost that possibility long ago. So I don't blame them for not following that specific angle. But I also made my blog last time the way I did because... By the end of season 2, how much do YOU believe she's still a morally gray character? Even if she's still mostly motivated by Luz, this is a character who won't snoop, won't be mean, tries to emulate her version of Luz, which is the sweet version of Luz, when faced with a dilemma, etc. like that. She is a good guy through and through, and especially more so than Luz because she has a problem with someone and she opens up communication, despite that making NO SENSE. Then again, much of Amity's actions post becoming Luz's girlfriend don't make sense in the context to what love, acceptance, etc. like that means with the only explanation for it being that Eclipse Lake was all it took to clear all that trauma and mistreatment because "It's Luz! What was I thinking?" *siiiiiigh* And then S3, from the clips I've seen, push more her being sweet or a complete fucking disaster, continuing something that has been happening since S1 even. After all, "Watch it, nitwit!" is like... the last mean thing Amity has said or done to someone who wasn't framed as deserving it. But she has been a fucking saint ever since then. And as a note, because I call even Amity's character arc bad, this is not a bad place for it to have ended. HOWEVER, the lack of her past self, her past actions, any personal goals or the like... It'd be like if Zuko joined the gang and then immediately was smiles, rainbows and totally not interested in killing his dad because that can wait, I just want to fish! At that point it's just an entirely different character and there are definitely points at which Amity just feels like she must have an entirely different history and personality than the one we knew and were told.
And as for Hunter, I've covered some of my feelings about him when someone asked me if I thought Lunter would have been better for the show *gags* but there's obviously more I could talk about with just a piece dedicated to discussing the character. When the baseline of your character is "Discount other character", you know things are in for a rough time. The fact that he's a discount Amity when I already think so poorly of Amity's handling... OOOOOOH BOY.

Ooooh lust for Vori, pride for Rak and wrath for Brakan
Ooh, the three agemates.
Lust - Vori
What is your oc's sexual/romantic orientation? I'd say she's straight, but I could see her being a lesbian if the right person was thrown into the vicinity.
Is your oc dating anyone? If so, who? The Guard strictly follows the Jedi Code, but I could see her dating Brakan. She's enthusiastic, he's a bit shy, it would be a pretty interesting relationship.
Would you say your oc is bashful about intimate conversations, or are they the blunt one that makes everyone else uncomfortable? Oh, blunt for sure, but in the good way. She'd be the one trying to get her friends together in relationships or giving away their secrets if she thought it would help them.
Does your oc judge other couples? If so why? Vori isn't a judgy type of person, but I could see her doing so with relationships within the unit. She wouldn't judge badly, just on scales of good and neutral.
Is your oc confident in their relationship? Why or why not? Between her and Brak, definitely. He's so soft-spoken, and she's incredibly outgoing. She has enough confidence for the both of them. In general, though, she's confident in nearly every situation she is thrown into. A lack of it is cause for concern.
What is your oc's favorite way to show affection? Teasing. She loves teasing her agemates (Brak and Rak, even if one of them acts like he's fifty years old already). Fondly, of course. Linaleh and Tindri are the meaner teasers.
Pride - Rakesh
Is your oc a leader? Who do they lead? As a member of the Guard, he prefers to stay in the background and avoid attention. He's the opposite as an Inquisitor, tired of being controlled by those whom he deems incompetent.
Does your oc trust the judgment of others? Rak is pretty complicated in terms of trusting others' judgement. It definitely depends on who and the situation. He trusts Cin Drallig and Jurr with his life (I'd say they're even like father or uncle figures to him), but there's no way he's trusting Loktof's judgement. Linaleh and Tindri vary, with their similar personalities (which happen to be either really caring or mocking at certain times). He trusts Brak's judgement as well, because Brak is just way too honest. As for Vori, it depends on how high her level of enthusiasm is when he asks for her judgement.
How well or not well does your oc take constructive criticism? This one strongly depends on what the criticism is for and what mood he is in regarding the event he's receiving it for. He'll never admit it, but he is very emotionally vulnerable.
Is your oc very vain? Explain. laughs Yes, yes he is. And when he's not, the others should be concerned.
How does your oc take pride in themself and others? In terms of himself, Rak tends to get smug and overconfident- not so great in combat against Loktof, it turns out. In terms of taking pride in others, he gives rare smiles. He's never been a smiley guy.
What does your oc think their best trait is? Is it true? Rak definitely sees himself as being very independent. Ironically, he does rely on the presence of the others to keep him grounded, whether he'll admit it or not.
Wrath - Brakan
Does your character anger easily? Why or why not? Despite a Zabrak's aggressiveness, Brakan is actually rather peaceful, thanks to his Jedi training.
Describe a point where your oc was the maddest they've ever been. If Brak's ever been angered, it was probably by someone stealing his desert or something. The others see him as needing to be protected, and therefore don't pick on him much.
Is your oc easy to disappoint? How so? Brak doesn't really hold expectations for much, and because of that is difficult to disappoint. The rest of the unit also does their best to fulfill his every need.
Is your oc physically strong? He's on the skinny side for his species, and is therefore not physically very powerful. Nonetheless, he is skilled with a lightsaber, if a bit less so than the others. His primary strength comes from the Force and from peace of mind.
How does your oc act toward anger from others? When others show signs of anger, Brakan becomes visibly uncomfortable and fidgets a bit. If the anger is strong enough, he becomes genuinely terrified and either flees the scene or freezes, depending on the scenario and who the anger is getting put onto.
Does your oc see intimidation as a good tactic to gain respect? Brakan does not condone intimidation in any situation, and definitely not as one intended by another to use in order to gain respect. He would never try to intimidate anyone, and would be easy to intimidate.
