SCENARIO NO. 1

you wake up to the smell of eggs and bacon. a smile appears on your face. you know it’s your husband by the way he’s humming his favorite novela tune in his deep and oh so attractive voice. you slide your legs off the bed and stretch, sliding your feet into your slippers. you stand up and walk down the steps, also hearing the sweet giggles of you two’s sweet chubby cheeked daughter. “i can hear mami coming down the stairs!” miguel whispers to his daughter, shuffling somewhere downstairs. you make your way in the kitchen to see..no one?

“boo!” babbles your daughter, giggling as hard as she can. “ahh!” you fake scream, grabbing your daughter and blowing raspberries into her cheeks. “good morning, handsome.” you say to miguel, kissing his cheek. “good morning, hermosa.” he says right back, walking to the stove to pour the pancake batter onto the skillet. “smells good.” you compliment, putting your daughter in her high chair.

“thank you, cariño.” you sit down yourself and scroll through your instagram, liking photos here and then.

“all done. come eat.” you stand up and make a plate for you and your daughter, setting it on her high chair tray, kissing her on her forehead. “thank you, love.”

“anything for you.”

SCENARIO NO. 2

it’s just you and miguel in the kitchen dancing, your head on his chest and you two’s daughter at your mothers house. “you’re so beautiful.” miguel says, tilting your head up to face his beautiful deep brown eyes. “i can say the same about you…” you grin, standing on your tippy toes to kiss him on his plump lips.

“you’re so perfect. you gave me a beautiful daughter, a beautiful home, and a perfect you. you’re my world, amor.” he says, tears seem to well in his eyes. “are you about to cry?” you give a half chuckle, feeling as if you’re about to cry yourself.

“i know i know it’s just…i love you so much..how can i not cry when you’re so…perfect to me?” miguel picks you up and put you on the counter, putting his face in the crook of your neck. “i love you too. you’re so good to me. i’m glad to have you as my husband.” and with that, you two share a deep and meaningful kiss.

SCENARIO NO. 3

you pant and moan as your husband laps at your cunt.

“shit..mig’ ,baby, slow down!” you groan, pulling his head deeper into your cunt. you can feel him pull away and you arch your back in neediness.

“dammit….so perfect.” miguel and you both perk up at the sounds of…crying. dammit. “i’ll go get her.” you say, rolling off of the bed and walk to the white and red framed nursery. “hey baby..” you coo to your daughter, putting her onto your chest. you can hear miguel walking into the nursery with you two, engulfing you two with his big and broad arms. “my two babies.” you smile, seeing your daughters loose curls splayed out everywhere.

I know Charles is disappointed that they didn’t convert this to a win when they had probably the best chance since Singapore to do so, and I know that because this isn’t pole -> 1st a lot of casuals who just look at the standings and results will inevitably use this to dunk on him, but I have to say that was probably my favourite Charles performance in all of 2023.

Just seeing him so comfortable and confident right from the start, from the first practice session, and carrying that into the race was incredible. Watching him overtake the Red Bulls, multiple times, in the most dominant car/season they’ve ever had as a team, was incredible.

Honestly, his entire run from Singapore onwards has been really strong, even if it’s unlikely to be remembered as such because the results belie the effort and performance. It’s so, so satisfying to hear him say “I need to work on this” and then literally see the effects on track weeks later. Improving in mixed conditions? He did that. Trying to get to grips with a car that doesn’t suit him to try and extract the maximum out of it? He did that. Improving his qualifying form after the disappointment of Monza and Singapore? Three poles in four races.

It was 100% worth getting up for Las Vegas, to watch him put in a mighty performance that mentally had me convinced we’re in early 2022. He’s always a joy to watch but it’s a special kind of joy when he’s racing out in front and he finally gets the attention and recognition and praise he deserves. I don’t think anyone has come this close so far this year to really making Red Bulls sweat and work hard to keep him at bay. Charles is good at managing expectations but if even he said the win was theirs for the taking had it not been for the timing of the safety car, then that really shows the magnitude of his performance and how confident he was this weekend. That last lap lunge? Chills.

An unforgettable performance in a season to forget.

I’m really interested to see how the permit-based economy is going to work out throughout the new hermitcraft season. It seems like a really interesting way to do shops, especially with the interaction between “every shop is by definition a monopoly” and “anyone can make their own farm if they don’t like the prices, because minecraft.” Considering that irl we’re experiencing the effects of monopolies in real time, it’ll be v v cool to see how they play out in a minecraft world, where the economy works on very different principles (such as people making their own farms, collecting their own resources, or mining their own diamonds)

It’s even more cool because we’ve already seen people making farms they’ve never done before because of this, and then we also have people like Tango and Cub who are using this as an excuse to go absolutely hog wild on something they’re already super interested in (e.g. Tango’s redstone factory and Cub’s fireworks)

It seems like the hermits are all respecting the permit rules for now, which is gonna foster some really cool server-wide effects as the season progresses. And then at some point it’s all gonna escalate to insanity and come crashing down like Ren’s kingship, which I also can’t wait to see

Overall a really cool idea for this season’s shopping district!

starting any new medication with intended or unintended mental effects is so weird. it’s not exactly like waking up with a whole new brain but it definitely feels like my mind got reformatted. this latest nervous system one is doing some what it’s supposed to physically (thank god) but it’s definitely doing… something to my thinking patterns and emotional responses. i’m not sure what. it has some overlap with the symptoms of an early manic upswing in the sense that the “regard for consequences” segment of my brain is sending an out-of-office message, so i thought it was that at first, but that’s definitely not it. but. something.
