The Dustin Henderson I knew would get Eddie Munson's body the hell out of there.
He would get him out, even if he had to pull and drag with his full strength and shake and cry his eyes out and break down and scream for Steve and the others to help him lift Eddie through the gate. He would get him out of that place if it's the last thing he did.

I love a good S3 Steddie AU so—
Eddie and Robin were friends in high school, and every time they needed cover they would pretend to be dating.
So she starts working at Scoops, sees Steve not knowing he’s different now, and as a defense mechanism tells him about her “boyfriend”
Then they become buds but she still doesn’t correct the record, because she would have to explain why she lied
So Eddie comes into the shop and she’s like “That’s him!” and Steve is “🥺”
Because he and Eddie have been dating for months
THE SCREAM I SCRUMPT AT THAT LAST LINE NONNY. This story starts on July 1st (S3E3), so after they've cracked the Russian code.
-
It takes a full month of working at Scoops to get Robin to be more chill around him. He gets it. He was never outright mean to her but he was a dick in high school and his reputation lingers.
He's happy now that she's graduated from quietly distrusting him to outright teasing him. He's pretty sure it means they're friends now, or something like it. She even made that white board to mock his inability to flirt a few weeks ago. He knows he'll never get a tally in the You Rule category because he's not actually trying to flirt with anyone, what with him having a boyfriend of his own. Not that he can brag about his boyfriend as much as Robin brags about her boyfriend.
And, Jesus, did she brag at first. Steve had been convinced it was a new romance, and therefore she was still in the honeymoon phase, except she said they'd been dating since she was a freshman. With senior year starting for her in September, Steve's a little jealous.
He hopes that he and Eddie never leave their honeymoon phase. It's only been three months, and Steve's in awe that Eddie even bothered to look his way after how he'd been in school. Still in awe that Eddie wants more with Steve than just the physical. That Eddie wants cuddles during a movie, and sappy hand holding while they just chat, and to hold Steve after a nightmare on the rare occasion they get to share a bed through the night.
Anyway, the point. Robin is something of a friend and Steve's pleased about it. They have to be friends now, right? They cracked a Russian code together! (Steve refuses to give Dustin any credit for their official jump into friendship even though they wouldn't have had a Russian code to crack without him.)
"Are you and the Boy going to do anything for the Fourth?" Steve asks apropos nothing after handing off a banana split, leaving no more customers to help currently. He's a little ashamed to admit that he doesn't remember the name of her boyfriend. He's sure she said it at some point, so he's blaming his shit memory for that. But she just refers to him as the Boy, and doesn't find it weird that Steve does, too, so he'll take the win.
"Oh, uh, we haven't really discussed it. I'm scheduled closing on the Fourth so," Robin shrugs.
"We'll be in misery together," Steve says.
"Joy."
It's times like these, where Robin is so deadpan Steve can't tell if she's joking or not. Like maybe they aren't the budding friends Steve thinks they are. She's tough to read, sometimes.
"Well, even with the closing shift, there's still a lot of night left. Great time for fireworks."
"True. I'm sure The Boy is thinking up something as we speak. He likes to surprise me."
Steve's not jealous. He's not. He knows that Eddie would surprise him if they didn't have to be so secret about it all.
They do have plans for after Steve gets off work on the Fourth to go to the carnival. It's not strange for friends to go together. Maybe Steve can convince Robin come and to bring the Boy and they can just be a group of friends hanging out?
"Well, if he hasn't planned anything, maybe you and he will want to come hang out at the carnival? I'm going with a friend, maybe we'd see each other."
Robin levels him with a look, eyes squinted in judgement. "Your friends, the children?"
"I have more friends than just children!"
"I literally do not believe you. Why don't any of your age appropriate friends come bother you here, like all those kids?"
It's a valid question, Steve can concede. "That's because I do not want him to see me in this uniform. I will never live it down."
Robin raises an eyebrow. "Does he even know you work here?"
"Absolutely not. So if you do bump into us at the carnival, you are not allowed to say our place of employment. I'm serious, Robin. This will ruin me. You can say 'the mall' because that's all I'll say about it."
Robin's grin turns mischievous. "So, what I'm hearing is, I have blackmail material against the Steve Harrington?"
Steve groans. She's joking. He's like... 80% sure she's joking. He makes a mental note to ask Eddie if he knows Robin.
"Oh shit!" Robin calls out, surprised but delighted. Steve whips his head to her, and sees she's looking out the front door and through a sea of people.
"What, is it Dustin? Russians?" Steve joins her side quickly trying to see what she sees.
"No, it's-" she cuts herself off and Steve turns his head to look at her, only to find she's already looking at him. "It's my boyfriend. I don't think he's seen me yet. Want to meet him if he comes in?"
"Hell yeah I do. I need to meet the man you won't shut up about," Steve grins at her before turning his attention back to the people. His eyes scan over all of them, trying to figure out which guy looks like he might be Robin's boyfriend. Which, yes, he knows isn't something you can judge based on looks (he and Eddie are a prime example) but still.
And speaking of Eddie- no! No no! He'll never hear the end of it if Eddie sees the stupid sailor outfit. Eddie hasn't spotted him yet, so Steve slides around Robin to be out of eyesight. "You see him?"
"Yeah, he's- oh! I think he's seen me. He's coming this way," almost as an after thought, she adds, "do you remember Eddie Munson?"
Play it cool, Steve. "Uh... yes. Why? Is he coming this way? I thought I saw him out there..." Way to play it cool. If Robin didn't seem so hyped to be seeing her boyfriend, she would absolutely be questioning him.
"Oh. Well, he's my boyfriend, and yes he is."
Steve feels the floor fall out from under him.
The whole world shifts and Steve cannot stay here. He thinks he says something about a bathroom break before ducking into the employees only door, and then his body moves him further still until he's through several other doors and suddenly outside in the heat of the day.
Do you remember Eddie Munson? Well, he's my boyfriend.
He doesn't know what to do with that. Doesn't know how to process it. How to proceed. Eddie is- but he can't- this can't be real. This is a crazy dream, brought on by thoughts of Russians and codes and leftover Upside Down bullshit and he will be waking up anytime now to get ready for work.
Eddie Munson. He's my boyfriend.
He can't be your boyfriend Steve wants to scream. He can't be your boyfriend because he's mine.
Maybe... Maybe it's turning out to be that while Eddie is his boyfriend, he's not Eddie's. Maybe Eddie's never thought of him as a boyfriend.
Every instance runs through his head; all the times Eddie wouldn't stay the night. All the times Eddie told him he couldn't stay at the trailer. Is Eddie actually even in a band or is band practice just a convenient lie that keeps him from having to see Steve while still keeping him in his back pocket?
All the hiding, and the let's keep this just to us for now, and how wonderfully convenient it is that this needs to, has to, be a secret when you're in a queer relationship in a small town.
Steve's a goddman idiot!
Of course, Eddie has a girlfriend. Of course, he agreed to 'see where this thing goes.' This is why Eddie bothered to even look his direction. Because there's no scenario where Steve comes out okay. He can't even tell Robin her boyfriend isn't the fucking golden, perfect boy she brags about because how does he do that without telling her how he knows?
All the worst case scenarios play in his mind. Robin being in on it. Her and Eddie laughing at him behind his back, waiting for the right time to publicly out him. To get whatever revenge they think he owes to them for all his dick behavior in school. His whole relationship being a joke.
He lets out a yell and whips around to punch the wall next to the employee entrance door. The pain grounds him almost immediately and that yell turns into a chokes off sob, his eyes squeezing shut as he leans in to rest his forehead against the wall and take a shuddering breath.
There's no way Robin is in on this. And it was mean of him to think so. If Steve's just been some sort of experiment to Eddie, then that's on Eddie.
And Steve. For being stupid enough to believe anyone would actually be interested in him. For taking one look at Eddie's stupid dimpled smile and tripping over himself to do everything in his power to see it again. For fucking falling in love too fast, too soon, and not asking enough fucking questions and-
Oh.
That's why this hurts so much. That's why he didn't stick around to watch Eddie sweat at seeing his long-term girlfriend and- and whatever the fuck he thought Steve was working together and getting caught in whatever fuckery he's doing.
Steve's gone a fallen in love with the asshole.
He pushes off the wall, takes a deep breath to steel himself, and makes a decision. He's going to confront Eddie on the Fourth, since that's the next day they'll see each other. He'll tell him they're done, and that Eddie needs to come clean to Robin about what he's done, or he will. She deserves to know, and Steve can deal with the consequences.
When he returns the Scoops, there's no sign of Eddie, but Dustin is there.
(What Steve doesn't know is that Robin and Eddie hugged in greeting. Robin asked what he was up to. Eddie told her he was searching for his boyfriend. He works at the mall and Eddie wants to surprise him. Robin doesn't ask who he's looking for, and Eddie doesn't offer, because they both know the importance of coming out on your own terms and in your own time. Robin does ask if he's happy, and Eddie says he didn't know he could be this happy.)
Of course, what follows that is a series of terrible events that result in being stuck in an elevator, captured and tortured by Russians, drugged, and then rescued.
He and Robin end up in a bathroom, puking up their guts, and Robin says, in a Russian accent, "Interrogate me."
Steve chuckles and replies, "Okay. Interrogate you. Sure. Um... when was the last time you peed your pants?"
"Today."
"What?"
"When the Russian doctor took out the bone saw. It was just a little bit, though."
She laughs and he groans. It's definitely still in her system.
"Okay. My turn."
"Hit me."
"Have you..." she starts, leaving a pause as she thinks of what to ask, before ending with, "ever been in love?"
And Steve, horrifyingly, mortifyingly, just starts to cry. He can normally reign this in, has better control than this, but whatever drug is still in his system robs him of that.
In another universe, where Steve is able to control himself, he'd lie. He'd describe Robin, knowing she's happily taken, maybe slide himself under the partition between their stalls so she can reject him to his face, and they can laugh it off, solidifying their friendship.
But that's not what happens.
What happens instead is this: Robin, who does not slide herself across the floor but instead hauls herself upright to stumble around the partition, kneels in front of him as Steve lets out hiccupping sobs in between saying embarrassing things like yes and they don't love me back, they never love me back.
And Robin. Sweet, wonderful Robin, to whom he has been the other person in her years long relationship, tugs his arm until he's no longer hugging the toilet and is instead cradled by Robin. And she hums and assures him that whoever doesn't love him is an idiot and it makes Steve sob harder because she doesn't know and when she learns she's going to hate him.
He cannot let her continue to comfort him while he's crying about her boyfriend. It is with that sobering thought that he's able to win his war against whatever he's been injected with and stop his tears. Just in time, too, because Dustin and Erica find them, and then the Russians do, but so does El and the others.
The world is nothing but Upside Down terror for hours.
When the dust settles, Hopper is dead, and so is Billy, and Steve is sat in the back of an ambulance, hugging Robin around her shoulders as they both look out into the parking lot with matching thousand-yard stares. They've been looked over and deemed okay to go home, so Steve is just waiting for the government men currently raiding what is left of the underground Russain bunker to either find his keys, or not.
If his keys are found, he's Robin's ride. If they aren't, they're both being dropped off by ambulance, which Robin is stressing about because her parents cannot see her come home in the back of an ambulance.
Steve offers her to stay at his house. He thinks it'll be easier to beg her parents for forgiveness than explain this situation. Robin agrees to stay if the ambulance ends up being their ride.
It doesn't, though. It takes an hour after everyone else has left, but someone delivers his keys.
It's eerie, the walk from the front lot around the mall to the back employee lot, so they clasp hands to have something to ground to. There are less people the further they walk. The fire's been contained, probably so the government people can root around the bunker below the mall to discover whatever it was the Russians knew, or know, or whatever.
The back lot is completely empty. Only Steve's car, parked towards the edge of the lot give that his shift yesterday had been an afternoon one, and all the closer parking spaces had been taken.
His car is parked so that the passenger side faces them as they approach. Wordlessly, they break apart, Robin heading for her door and Steve rounding the front of the car to get to the driver's side. Except as soon as he rounds the corner, a figure that was previously crouched or sat in front of the door jumps up, lunging at Steve.
He barely has time to register the voice, a terrified sounding "Stevie!" before Steve back tracks with a yelp, out of reach of the figure. Robin screams when he does, and whoever was lunging at him stops in their tracks, whipping around to look at the other source of the noise.
"Robin?"
It's then that Steve takes in the sight before him. It's Eddie. It was Eddie leaning against his door, waiting for him. Steve's flooded with a rush of love, his stupid brain deciding that Eddie must have been worried when Steve didn't meet him for the carnival. Had come to look for him. But then the reality of the situation settles over him.
That might have been true, but now he's seen that Steve is here with his girlfriend and this isn't how he wanted to do this but he will.
For Robin, he will. She deserves better.
"What are you doing here!? Besides scaring the shit out of us!" Robin yells, rounding the car to punch Eddie in the arm.
"Ow, Buckley, what the fuck!" Eddie rubs the spot she punched him, looking between Robin and Steve with... confusion? Steve is expecting to see maybe some remorse, or guilt, or maybe even glee at the fact stupid Steve Harrington was able to be so easily fooled. He doesn't see any of that, though.
Eddie takes a step towards him, and Steve flinches back.
Robin steps up to Eddie, like she wants to pull Eddie into a hug, but he stops her with a hand on her shoulder. He looks from Robin to Steve again, then back to Robin. Steve can't see his face, his hair hides his profile, but he can see Robin's face. Her confusion, brows furrowed, before her eyes go wide and now she's looking between Steve and Eddie.
Fuck. She's just put it together herself! She's going to hate Steve forever, homewreaker that he is.
"Oh. Oh no," Robin whispers, then says Eddie's name in a devastated tone. "Eddie. Is it-?"
"I-I can't... Robin," Eddie says back, sounding just as hurt.
"No! No, I told him- Eddie, I told him we were dating!" she turns to Steve, then, and blurts, "I'm a lesbian!"
He doesn't know what to do with that information. "What?"
"I lied. Steve, I lied, I'm a lying liar and I'm so sorry," Robin says, shoving Eddie away from herself and towards Steve.
Maybe the drugs are still working because Steve still doesn't understand. "I don't... what?"
"I'm not dating Eddie," Robin says. "I've never dated Eddie, would never date Eddie because I don't want to date boys. Please, Steve, I never meant to make you think-" but she cuts herself off, looking from Steve to Eddie and back, before saying, "I never meant to make you think you were unlovable."
Eddie makes a wounded noise at that. "What did you say to him, Buckley!?"
Robin lied. Robin lied about dating a boy. Because she's not interested in boys? That doesn't make sense. That- oh. She lied about having a boyfriend for the same reason he's lied about not having a boyfriend. Because it isn't safe to not to.
Steve's legs give out, but he doesn't hit the pavement because Eddie catches him and the three of them sob and cling to each other in the dark of the parking lot.
Later, much later, the truth will come out. Steve will learn they've always been each other's covers but never actually together. Robin will apologize because she blames herself for Steve's bathroom, drugged-breakdown, and Steve apologizes for all the awful thoughts he had about Eddie when he thought Eddie was dating them both and lying about it.
Steve will learn that Eddie loves him, too, just as much as Steve loves him.

Vampire Pancakes
A response to this writing prompt. Thought it was too cute, had to write it! @dwobbitfromtheshire

No one really knows what to do with Eddie right now. Everyone is jittery around him, going so far as to hold their breath when he so much as twitches. Even Dustin is squinting at him with calculating eyes; he's analyzing Eddie for threat.
Eddie will continue to courteously ignore the hand that Nancy is keeping stationed on her belt conveniently close to the little pistol everyone knows she's hiding. It doesn't matter that Eddie helped them kill Vecna, or that he saved Baby Byers' life. It doesn't matter when he has sharp teeth, dark eyes, and a thirst for blood. He can't blame 'em for being scared.
Eddie thinks about his dad. Wonders if even Al would see Eddie as a monster now.
Eddie got picked on a lot as a kid and he'd often come home from school tired and weepy. Al would look up from the couch in that black tank top he always wore. He'd set down whatever he was smoking to pat the spot next to him.
"What happened Ed? Was some little shithead mean to ya?"
Eddie would nod and slump into his father's side, eyes burning from the spicy, smokey air. When Eddie pressed his face into his dad's arm, Al would pull back and pat his head with sorrowful eyes. Al didn't really know how to comfort a kid or maybe he thought that being distant was in Eddie's best interest.
"You're too soft, Ed. Ya gotta make those kids think you can pack a punch. Chin up, eyes mean, shoulders back. Make 'em intimidated, make 'em fear ya."
So like any kid who thinks their dad's word is law, Eddie listened, or tried his best at least. But his dad never said that mean eyes, dark clothes, and loud music would get him accused of witchcraft by a bunch'a angry jocks and chased straight into hell.
Now his sheepies -his kiddos- are looking at him like they're scared, like they can't trust him and that is a fucking gut punch. Because pretty early on in his high school career, he decided that his purpose was gonna be standing as a shield for other kids like him. He wanted to be a source of safety and warmth in an otherwise cold and unforgiving storm.
Being feared is lonely and sad, Eddie has discovered, and he worries this is his new permanent reality.
Eddie quietly sits through his friends hammering out the logistics of a nighttime schedule to organize sleeping shifts so someone always has an eye on him. It's sick. Eddie has to excuse himself to cry about it. He has no uncontrollable urges to eat anyone here, Steve does smell appetizing, but he wouldn't jump the guy.
He can still eat human food apprently, it barely does anything for him, but it's something. Eddie thinks it's enough to quell any feral urges he may or may not get. He thinks the party is being unreasonable about their safety precautions, but really, he'd probably do the same if there was a monster in the same house as him.
🥞🫐
It's a long night, he can't fall asleep but he'll pretend to so that everyone can relax a little. The changing of the guard chafes at him and makes his lip quiver. He bites his lip to prevent a wounded sound from slipping out when Robin nudges Steve awake and says it's "his turn on hell shift". Eddie jolts because he remembers he has real sharp teeth now, and biting his lip does, in fact, hurt like a bitch.
"You're not asleep, huh?" He hears whispered into the air of the big living room after Robin has settled back into sleep. It's Steve's sweet and melodic voice.
"I'm trying." He responds, brokenly.
"Wanna get some fresh air with me for a minute? I need'a smoke." Steve is already shrugging the sheets off of him and carefully stepping over his sleeping friends towards the back door. Eddie doesn't think he has a choice, but to follow. Stepping out of this stuffy room does sound like a relief though.
Eddie makes the same journey through the sea of teenagers sprawled across Steve's floor and out the sliding glass door. When he steps onto the patio, all of the crickets stop chirping around him. The night goes silent. What the fuck? Is that because of him? He loves the sound of crickets, though.
He walks over and curls up in one of the Harringtons' fancy-loungy-pool-chairs. Steve stays standing, leaning artfully against the side of his house next to the glass. He flicks open his lighter and the small flame illuminates his square jawline with a warm glow. He's so achingly handsome. He's like a movie star, or a model.
"You okay?" Steve asks conversationally.
"Not even a little."
Steve sighs and pushes off the wall to walk towards Eddie's chair. He sits at the foot of it and swivels so he's looking at Eddie.
"I'm really sorry Eddie. I can't even imagine how you must be feeling. I won't pretend to." Steve sets a hand on Eddie's ankle and Eddie could cry from the small gesture of comfort that he's practically writhing for. "I feel like what happened to you is all my fault. I know that 'sorry' wont cut it, but for the record, I am. Completely and utterly sorry." That's a silly thing to think.
"It's not your fault, are you kidding? How do you reckon it's your fault?"
"Sending you with Dustin? Alone? Putting all that responsibility on you?" Steve looks down at his cigarette with disgust. He twists it into the cold concrete next to his socked foot and looks back at Eddie. There's no fear in his expression, and for once Eddie is grateful for his reckless bravery.
"It was the best plan and we all agreed to it. Don't sweat it, Harrington." Eddie feels like he's not all there. Feels like maybe if he was more composed he could comfort Steve better, but he's hungry and dazed, sad and tired. Steve nods solemnly, and clears this throat.
"And about everyone being kind of on edge... It'll pass. I think they're all thinking about when Billy Hargrove got possessed by the mind flayer and went homicidal on us. He tried to kill all the kids."
Eddie desperately wants to hear all the other Upside down stories one day. He keeps trying to stitch together all these scraps of lore that keep getting dropped on him. He has no right to ask about something so traumatic, so he'll just be patient and wait for more lore to drop.
"Everyone's just being cautious. Vecna's dead though, so I'm not really sure who they think would possess you." Steve finishes and squeezes Eddie's lower calf where his hand rests.
"I get it. Kinda hurts my feelings, but I get it." Eddie mumbles and feels his eyes getting heavy. He wonders if he could fall asleep out here. Maybe if the crickets were still chirping and it wasn't so goddamn quiet.
"I'm sorry, Eddie." It's fine, this might not even be the worst thing that's ever happened to him.
🥞🫐
In the morning Eddie curls himself into Steve's little kitchen nook. Eddie kind of loves the window seat, it's something his mom would have wanted, Eddie theorizes. She was always looking out windows, probably daydreaming about escaping. Eddie does it too.
The kids seem warmer this morning. There's no more hushed whispers or pointed looks. They're talking and moving around the house less cautiously. Hopefully, the stiffest interactions and the worst of their distrust is behind them. Nancy's still watching him like a hawk though.
Steve shuffles into view, his socks are bunched up around his ankles. It's cute.
He holds out a plate for Eddie with a dumb smile on his face. When Eddie reaches for it, he sees a stack of pancakes and the top pancake has a little face made out of blueberries and two whipped cream fangs. It's a vampire pancake. Steve made Eddie a sweet little vampire pancake.
"Oh my god, you're so adorable." Eddie squeaks and makes a grabby hand for the fork Steve's holding. Steve blushes and hands over the fork.
"Do you like it?" Steve asks coyly. The pancakes feel like a hug, they feel like an apology that Steve doesn't even owe.
"I love it, chef." Eddie pokes at the pancake-vampire's cheek. "I don't know if I can eat him. He's too cute." Eddie giggles. Steve looks up at him with bright sparkly eyes. God he's perfect. Eddie's hungry for him in five different ways.
Robin and Dustin come up beside Steve to look down at the plate.
"I want one!" Dustin announces loudly. Steve turns around and heads back to the stove, he looks so proud of himself.
"You can have normal pancakes. Those are special for Eddie." Steve says with a wink. Dustin looks down at Eddie and pouts at him as if Eddie has any say in who gets what kind of pancake.
"Dustin had to watch it all happen, he should get one too." Eddie tells Steve earnestly while Steve is pouring more batter into the pan.
Dustin gloats and yells "Exactly! Thank you, Eddie."
And it feels like things are gonna be okay.

"Eddie's still a wanted man. I want him. The police want him, and you just want him to take a stroll through the woods," Steve said, swinging his arm.
"Pardon?" Eddie asked, his eyebrows raised as he looked up at Steve, still crouching by Skull Rock.
"What?" Steve asked.
"What did you say?" Eddie asked.
"When?" Steve asked.
"That last part. I missed it, I think," Eddie said.
"The police want him, and you just want him to take a stroll through the woods?" Steve asked.
"No, before that," Eddie said.
"Eddie's a wanted man?" He asked.
"No, in between those two things," Eddie said.
"Uh, I don't think I said anything," Steve said in confusion.
"Eddie, man, sometimes he says things, and he doesn't realize he's said them until later," Dustin said.
"So, you heard it too?" Eddie asked.
"We all heard it," Max said, and Lucas nodded.
"I didn't. What did Steve say?" Robin asked, and they all looked at her. "What? There was a bird."
"So, he's - ?" Eddie asked, not saying it outloud.
"Problem?" Dustin asked.
"No! No, I would be a hypocrite! I'm definitely putting a pin in that for later, though, because I am very interested," Eddie said.
"What did I say?!" Steve hissed at Dustin.
Dustin grinned and shrugged.
A little while later. . .
Steve and Eddie were walking through the Upside Down, Steve’s bat bites bandaged up by Nancy. Eddie was currently rambling on about her when it hit him. Steve grabbed him and pulled him close.
"Oh my god!" Steve said in realization.
"There it is," Eddie grinned.
"I said - " Steve said, blushing.
"I want you too, big boy," Eddie said.
"Big boy?" Steve asked.
"Because of your very big. . .feet," Eddie said.
"Wait, why were you trying to push me towards Nancy?" Steve asked.
"Oh, I was fucking with you," Eddie grinned. "I mean, she was definitely eye fucking you on the boat but who could blame her?"
Steve laughed before smashing his lips to Eddie's, cupping the back of his head. Eddie moaned against his mouth and then shrieked into Steve’s mouth when he felt a vine brush against his leg. Without thinking, he jumped into Steve’s arms. He legs squeezed Steve’s hips. Steve groaned.
"Are we in Scooby Doo or the Upside Down?" They heard Robin asked.
Eddie winced and climbed off of Steve, looking sheepishly.
"Sorry," Eddie said, and Steve laughed, taking his hand.
"I'm fine. Now, let's NOT split up and find a way out of here," Steve said.
"I guess that makes me Shaggy," Eddie grinned.
And they walked to Nancy's, they held hands and talked about Scooby-Doo.

𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫, 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧 — spanking
pairing: steve harrington x reader
warnings: slight dom/sub dynamics. daddy kink. fingering. reader expresses some insecurities.
Tumblr media
From the moment you caught Steve's eye from the other side of the room, you knew you were in trouble.
Actually, you knew it before that. When you withdrew into yourself, when you knew that's exactly what Steve told you not to do. When you ignored him when he talked to you, shying away from his attention. Looking away from his pleading gaze, caramel eyes begging you to give in.
Not saying more than a couple of words for the rest of night, revisiting the same thoughts over and over like poking a bruise, sitting there like an open wound. You knew you were wrong, and did it anyway. Even then, you couldn't deal with Steve's "I'm not mad, just disappointed" stare. The same he used when Dustin, or any one of your friends, told him about something stupid and possibly life-risking they did.
You'd had this conversation a couple of times. All he ever asked was to not shit him out, to talk to him when you're feeling insecure, when something is making you upset, no matter what it is — and you stubbornly ignored all of those times you had this same talk.
Steve was talking to a pretty girl, that was all. One of Nancy's work friends who was visiting, you didn't catch her name — it didn't matter, really. All it mattered was the thoughts in your head about how if Steve noticed how there were better options for him out there, he would leave.
He didn't, and he wouldn't. He was still right beside you when you got into your shared apartment, after staying silent through the whole car ride, but still keeping his hand on your thigh the whole way home. Steve dropped his keys on the tray near the door, and stood in the middle of the living room, hands on his hips.
"I'm not mad, just disappointed".
The first thing he asked was, "Do you have anything to say?"
You winced, feeling guiltier than before. "Can we talk in the morning?"
"No, we're gonna talk now." He insisted. "I'm not gonna let you sleep with whatever is bothering you still in there."
Sighing, you shifted on your feet, knowing you had no choice. Steve could be as stubborn as you when he wanted to, and you were in for a long night if you weren't the one to break first.
"It's dumb, Steve. I got in dumb Head thinking about you talking to that pretty blonde girl and smiling at her and I kept thinking," before you knew it, your mouth was running a thousand miles per hour, "God, why is Steve still with me? When he could have any pretty blonde girl he wanted? Anyone better than me. Why is he still here? And honestly I wouldn't blame you…"
You weren't able to finish that last sentence.
All you saw was Steve letting out a tired laugh, and marching towards with purpose. The world was suddenly upside down when he picked you by your waist, and threw you over his shoulder. You protested by yelling his name, thrashing in his hold, but he would not yield.
In a moment, you were laying over Steve's lap as he sat on the end of your bed. His strong thighs under you, the warm fabric of his jeans against your thin dress. You should have seen this coming. He ran a hand over your back, soothing and yet a threat all the same.
"You don't listen, do you?" He asked, still running his hand over the expanse of your back, stopping right before the curve of your ass, and up again. "How many times do I have to tell you that I don't want anyone else. I don't need anyone else. You're it for me, honey. You're all I could ever ask for and it breaks my heart that you don't see it. You have to see it."
"I'm sorry, Steve." Your voice was but a whisper, but you knew he heard you.
"This is for not listening, honey." You took a deep breath, and nodded your consent. "Can you count to ten for me?"
"Yes."
It was the answer he needed. Slowly, he pulled your panties from your hips, fingers grazing your skin and already setting you on edge, and lowered them to sit right under your ass. Your dress was lifted right after, leaving you bare and at his mercy.
"Ready?"
A long sigh left your lips. "Ready."
The first slap stung. Steve's big hand came in contact with your right cheek, the sound of the impact filling the room. He soothed it with his touch, moving his hand in circular motions over the bruise that was already forming.
"One." You breathed out. The second and third came right after, smacking the plush flesh and watching it ripple under his touch. It sent a burning sensation right to your core, and the urge to rub your thighs together grew, but you knew better not to squirm — you just kept counting.
Steve kept caressing the globes of your ass with a firm hand before delivering the fourth and fifth smacks. By the sixth, you were panting, hard nipples pressing to the rough material of his jeans and your pussy wet and sticky between your closed thighs.
The seventh was followed by Steve's fingers prodding in between your thighs, feeling just how wet you were for him. He teased your entrance with two fingers, circling it before retreating.
You curled your toes and pressed your eyes shut, holding onto what little control you still had. "Daddy…"
"I know, baby. Just a little more." His voice was gentle, but his touch was anything but. Seven and eight were hard, the sting they left making you moan out loud this time, instead of the small mewls and whimpers you were letting yourself release.
Nine was quick, but just before ten, he lowered his fingers again. This time, all the down to your puffy clit, drawing tight circles on it. You squirmed and whimpered his name as he kept going, teasing your little bundle of nerves with expert fingertips. It was almost embarrassing how close you were to coming, arching your back to meet his touch.
"Are you gonna be good for me?"
"I'll be good, I promise." You swallow hard as he put more pressure on his fingers, making you salivate with your orgasm on the tip of your tongue. "I'll be good, daddy. Please."
"Then don't forget to count."
His hand, now stained with your slick, delivered the last smack to your bruising flesh. You screamed with it, a mixture of a broken moan and a strangled "Ten!". The flood between your legs and the red hot sensation in your lower tummy had let you know you'd just cum, untouched.
Your heavy breathing was all that could be heard in the otherwise silent room as Steve maneuvered you to lay fully on the bed, on your side and resting your head on your pillow. He took the time to remove all of your clothes, and you were bare, he kissed tenderly on the forehead, and laid beside you, still dressed.
"I want you to remember this the next time you get into your head about where I stand in this relationship. Remember that there's nowhere else I'd rather be than here, even if I have to remind you that I'm yours as much as you're mine." He lightly ran his fingers over your arm, causing a shiver to run all over your tired body, "Remember that, okay?"
"I'll remember. I'm sorry." You didn't have the strength to talk.
"That's okay, angel. I'll always be here if you need a reminder."

Arguments ✨
Summary; It's Friday and you have the worst headache in the world, To make your day even worse you and Eddie get into an argument, and Eddie snaps telling you to leave Hellfire.
When the headache overwhelms you and Eddie finds out he is anxious to see you.
Warnings; Angst, fluff. Kinda mean Eddie? Jealous Eddie, minors dni
I don't give anyone permission to copy my work.
❤️✨
❤️✨🌸
You were having the worst day, on top of a bad headache, you had had an argument with Eddie.
When you were sick, you could get irritated or emotional quite easily, Eddie had made some remark about one of Jason's friends Matt who kept staring at you.
"Why does that asshole keep staring at you? It's fucking weird" Your head snaps up and you frown. There was already tension between the two of you because you tried out for the cheer squad and made it.
"Didn't realize it was so weird that someone finds me attractive" you reply wounded.
He pauses and shakes his head.
"I didn't mean it like that sweetheart?" he assures you and you raise an eyebrow.
"Well, how did you mean it? It's weird that someone may find me cute?" he shakes his head.
"You're putting words in my mouth. I just mean that it's those assholes, they are doing it to piss off Hellfire, jocks, cheerleaders, they join up to the dark side and they are all the same"
This wounds you, does he think you're like that?
"No not all of us. Some of the jocks are nice, and Chrissy is a sweetheart. Do you think I'm like that?" he looks frustrated now.
"Is there much point in me saying anything else sweetheart because you'll literally just take everything I say the wrong way"
Gareth jumps into the conversation and you massage your head which is so sore that it nearly brings tears to your eyes.
"Calm down you two, things are getting heated here and they don't need to be" Eddie angrily folds his arms across his chest and glares at Gareth.
"I'm not the one who started it" you huff and get up having enough of Eddie.
"Fine blame me, when you're the one who made stupid remarks" you fume at him and Dustin looks worried.
"Where are you going? We're discussing tonights campaign" your mood softens as you look at Dustin, he was a sweet kid.
"Sorry Dustybun, think I'll skip tonight" It's not like you'd feel welcome anyway. Eddie scowls.
"You miss tonight and you're out" There are angry protests to Eddie's ultimatum and your stomach drops at his cold gaze.
"Fine" you snap and storm away. You don't cry until you're well away from the cafeteria.
💕
Gym. Just to make things worse for your head you now need to compete in dodgeball.
Usually you enjoyed the game but after your argument with Eddie you just wanted to curl up at home in bed and ignore the world for a little while.
But you couldn't, you had cheer practice, no Hellfire though so you could go home straight after but it wouldn't stop you from missing everyone.
Eddie must have skipped gym because you don't see him anywhere, you try to focus on the game and not the argument the two of you had.
It's made even harder by how dizzy you feel as you're running around and it's almost a relief when two balls hit you so you're out of the game.
Except one hits you on you're already sore head and the pain is so intense, you cry out and the dizziness overwhelms you and you faint.
💕💕
"Back off everyone, give her some air" you wake up to a few classmates staring down on you.
Chrissy is beside you looking as worried as your gym teacher Mr Bennett.
Nurse Watts comes in and checks you over when you tell her about your raging headache and dizziness.
"Sounds a lot like a headcold honey, you need to go straight home and rest"
"I have cheer practice I can't go home" you say anxiously to the nurse and Chrissy squeezes your hand.
"As your cheer captain, I order you to go home and rest up" This relaxes you a little bit and a few of your classmates help you up including a worried Jeff.
"I'll be fine, can you drive me home, please Jeff? Eddie usually does after Hellfire but...
Well, with the two of you not talking that wouldn't be happening, nods and motions you to follow him to his car as he takes you home.
He hangs around for a little bit and it's a relief to have someone with you. However, Hellfire is soon close to starting so you tell him to go.
Once Jeff leaves after making sure you are okay you get a big glass of water, some pain meds then change into your comfiest clothes and cuddle up in bed.
💕💕
Jeff races into the drama room ten minutes after Hellfire starts and Eddie is already grumpy after his argument with you.
"Now after that interruption let us finally begin the campaign kay?" he announces and the others nod excited but occasionally glancing at your empty seat.
It feels strange without you here, Eddie feels it too and the ache in his chest since the fight the two of you had.
Jeff is trying to think of a way to mention what happened at gym but decides to say it after the session ends.
It's Mike who ends up saying about it as they are finishing up.
"Did you hear that yn fainted in gym class today?" Eddie's head snaps up and his stomach drops, he was doing a deal during class then setting up Hellfire with some of the guys.
Why didn't he hear about this sooner? Jeff speaks up.
"I was trying to tell you that dude, the ball hit her on the head and she fainted. Said she's been feeling shitty all day" Jeff trials off at Eddie's livid.
All that Eddie can think about now is getting to you, making sure you're alright.
Fuck, the argument. You meant more to Eddie than some disagreement. More than anyone else knew.
He let you see sides of him no one else had, sides he kept hidden away.
"Shit, I have to see her. Sheeples do me a favour and clean up yeah?" he races out as quickly as he can and into his van, anxious to see you.
💕💕
A light tapping on your window wakes you up around nine-ish, you've slept for hours but still feel sore.
Eddie is at your window and you get up gingerly, wincing at your achy muscles.
"What are you doing here?" you ask not wanting a repeat of earlier.
"I heard what happened. Wanted to see if you were okay, to apologise"your eyes widen.
"You did?" he nods and helps you back into bed.
"Look, I'm not apologising for hating the jocks, maybe some of the cheerleaders as they can be just as bad. I'll never apologise for despising Jason and his goons but not all of the dark side is bad. You aren't"
"You mean a lot to me you know that princess, I've opened up to you in ways I haven't opened up to anyone. You mean so fucking much to me and it's not weird Matt was staring at you because you're amazing and beautiful. I was jealous"
Knowing how difficult this is for him, letting his emotions out like this softens you.
"So you don't want me out of Hellfire then?" he shakes his head.
"No, I don't. You're the one person in this shitty town who I never want to lose" your hands entwine with his.
"I'm not going anywhere, Eddie" he smiles, all dimples.
"I think the cheerleading thing is pretty cool you know? Might have to attend a game to see you in action" This makes you giggle as he mimics the cheerleading.
"Unless you would prefer that Matt douche cheering for you" he fake smiles and you sigh, god he really doesn't see it does he.
"Edward Munson, I don't want Matt at all" he tentaively strokes your cheek.
"You're my girl sweetheart, I can't stand the thought of you with that dickhead or anyone"
"Ditto", it's pretty much how you feel for Eddie. He moves closer to you, his eyes yearning, a vulnerability there as he lets his walls down.
"Kiss me" you urge gently and he doesn't need to be told twice as his lips meet yours.
You were his girl, his heart. You had been for a while and you always would be.

The pen didn't have a lot of ink left, but it would do. He'd taken a notebook from Max's desk as well. He had to write these things down, just in case.
"Just in case I don't make it back there's some things I wanted to tell you. One, I'm sorry I didn't come home, I'm sorry I ran and left you to deal with my mess again, I didn't kill Chrissy and I hope you know that.
Don't blame yourself for being on the night shift, from what I understand it would've happened anyway, I'm glad I could make her laugh before she died. You're going to have some people visit you, if they make it instead of me. You can trust them, just listen to Dustin, he's a good kid and knows good people. Yes, even Steve Harrington, if anyone is making it out alive it's him, I'll make sure he gives this to you.
Give my stuff to the boys, everything, the books, the rings, the records. I want them to have me in some way when I'm gone, especially since I won't get to say goodbye. Check on them now and then will you? I'm sorry I can't be around anymore to protect them.
Get out of Hawkins, I don't need a grave, I don't need you stuck here mourning. Escape this cursed town like I always wanted to, go visit Ma in the mountains and tell her I'll be seeing her soon.
I'm sorry,
Eddie"
Steve knocked on the side of the caravan and Eddie jolted looking at him.
"You ok?"
"Yeah, Stevie, don't worry, could you do me a favour though?"
Steve gave him a soft smile, "Sure, Eds, anything."
"Give this to my uncle, if I don't make it back."
"You'll see him yourself soon, I promise."
Eddie had given him a sad smile at that, and it had burned into Steve's memory just as the piece of paper now burned in his pocket. He knocked on the motel door. It opened and Steve took a deep breath.
"Hi, Mr Munson, I have a message from Eddie."

okay seriously the last one, then i'm posting peter, THEN i'm finishing all your requests
------
you're on steve's lap, basically grinding on his crotch, feeling his hard on poke through his jeans and rub on your barely covered clit. he's got his hands all over you — your hips, your face, your back, and your thighs.
he moans when you grind a bit harder, your hand on his shoulder and the other on the roof of the car on top of you to stop yourself from bumping your head accidentally.
"fuck, steve," a high-pitched whimper turned into a moan when he bites on your neck, his hand coming down to toy with the lace of your underwear.
"yeah, that's it. keep goin' baby," he throws his head back on the headrest, hooded eyes watching your every movement with his bottom lips caught between his teeth to stop himself from moaning loudly when you begin to bounce and grind to bring yourself at the brink of your orgasm.
steve's palming at your breasts, rough and needy. "fuck, i want you inside me now, stevie," you mewl. "i'm gonna cum."
"me too. wait for me, babe, take off your clothes—"
the RT statics and startles you, yelping and bumping your head on the roof of the car. steve ignores the walkie and leans closer to take your head into his hands and tut at your mishap.
"shit! you okay?" his fingers rub the spot you're rubbing. he kisses your temple. "i'm sorry, baby."
"'s alright—"
"steve!"
it's dustin, voice garbled before it shifts into a static voice. steve sighs, groaning in annoyance for realizing that it's happened again. you huff with him, hiding your face on the crook of his neck.
"steve. steve! it's dustin. do you copy? i repeat, do you copy? steve. steve harrington—"
you scoot off steve's lap, knees on his thighs as you reach behind the backseat and take the RT off his bag. "why do you have this, anyway?" you ask him.
"dustin said it's an important asset to have!" he defends himself. "kid demands it to everyone. including robin."
"jesus," you click on the button, and near your lips to the microphone. "what do you want henderson?"
"oh, hey," sensing the smile on dustin's face, you readjust yourself so your elbows prop you up in the seat, thighs now placed on steve's while your torso hangs in the middle. "is steve there?"
"he's with me."
"great!" he quips. "i need you guys to pick me up and take me to weathertop. like, right now."
you would have said no. really. but you and steve (+ robin) had done a lot to him that endangered the poor kid, and his mom had demanded you watch over him until summer ends, because obviously she blames you and steve for what happened to him. it's a promise you both intend to keep, for the sake of dustin and his smartass.
"right. on our way."
you turn the RT off and look at steve, who's got a hand over his forehead. "guess we gotta pick up your child, babe."
"our child," he jokes. steve helps you move back into the passenger seat, leans over to buckle your seatbelt for you before he does his. and before he drives does he place a gentle kiss on your forehead, a hand behind your head to keep you in place. "i'm sorry we got interrupted again."
"it's fine," you sigh. "just wish we had more time before dustin's shouting at us to make it quick before sun goes down."
"well, my parents are out of town again," he turns the ignition on and leaves the parking lot, driving his way to dustin's house in a speed that almost passes the limit. "i mean, they always are. but right now they aren't home and we can come up to my room?"
"anything for privacy, baby," he takes your hand and kisses the back, eyes never leaving the road as he turns to the street where dustin lives. he beeps, one, two, three four times. until you spot his bright yellow and green cap poking out the door to kiss his mom goodbye before he's throwing himself in the backseat.
"hi. thank you for picking me up." he smiles at the both of you. "now drive."
"don't be so demanding henderson," steve warns. "you were interrupting us earlier."
"oh yeah like what? having sex?"
"precisely," you turn to look at him. "we were going to have sex and you interrupted us. god, i can't believe we're still babysitting you, a literal fifteen year old when we should be babysitting erica." you scoff. "erica, who got stuck with us for more than 24 hours inside a russian elevator. now she's out there having a tea party with tina and playing dnd with this dude with long hair. and we're babysitting you!"
dustin shudders. "well it's not my fault you got us stuck inside a russian elevator for two days, (y/n)."
"excuse me?!" you unbuckle your seatbelt and face him, an incredulous gasp on your face. "who was the one who came into scoops saying you discovered a secret russian code, huh? was it me? because i certainly don't think it was me, dustin."
"well maybe if you would have just pressed the right button, we wouldn't have gotten trapped!"
"whether it's the right button or not, we would have gotten trapped either way," you shout at him. steve has a hand on your thigh, laughing to himself as he drives his way up to weathertop. "you should be thankful we're driving you up to talk to suzie, dustin."
"why would i be thankful if i'm sitting on a chair that probably has an imprint of your bare ass in it?" steve snorts, covers it with a quick rub to his nose as you glare at dustin.
"y'know what? they're steve's ass prints." you smirk when he groans in disgust. "yeah, right. steve's bare ass has been pressed there. god knows what's melted in that seat, henderson."
"god, you're so disgusting, (y/n)!"
"well it's not my fault you're the reason why i'm hornier than i have ever been when i'm on my period, dustin!"
"steve."
you both yell his name. steve yelps, eyes widening and glaring at the both of you. "keep your shit together, alright? you better make your phone call quick, dustin, or we're leaving you on that hill. you hear me?"
he mutters something incoherent that says yes. steve puts a hand on your thigh and rubs your knee, and you let yourself sit in silence while your annoyance ebbs away.

3 though idk how much it will help but I love drama😅
oh my god you instigator LOL I also tacked on @goodolefashionedloverboi's request too
First part
He should've known that telling Eddie to shut the hell up would yield the opposite result. The phone calls were so constant, that Steve stopped picking up. When he saw him coming down the sidewalk, he walked the other way. Eddie had even started to try and send messages via the kids and wasn't that pathetic?
What was more pathetic was how hard it was for Steve to do all of this. He wanted more than anything to hear Eddie out, to find out that maybe his feelings were real all along. But there was no such chance.
There was a panicked moment when Eddie came to his work and he saw him talking to Robin outside. But Robin, steadfast and loyal and just as bitchy as him, told him to step off.
"I knew there was a reason I kept you around", Steve said he pushed a mail cart around.
Robin dug her hand in and handed it off to the white collars of Hawkins in the office building they worked at now. "I felt like a bouncer at a club."
Steve thought he was doing a good job on the break up mend. He hadn't spoken to Eddie in days, he hadn't rebounded on some poor soul, and he only cried late at night when he was all alone with his thoughts.
The moment he thought he was up though, was of course, when the universe brought him back down. He knew Dustin's house was a danger zone, what with the odds of Eddie being there. But Dustin had invoked a Code Red on the walkie and Steve came barreling down the road, nail bat at the ready.
Once again, Dustin pointed him in the direction of his cellar. Steve vividly remembered what Dustin had been keeping down here before. He went down the stairs, heard a familiar voice cry out "No! Wait!" before the door shut above him.
Steve held his bat defensively. He was down here with someone. He was about to swing when a lightbulb turned on and he was face to face with Eddie. Honestly, Eddie might've been safer from his bat if he was a stray demodog.
"What the hell are you doing here?"
"I don't know", Eddie held his hands up in surrender. "But if I had to guess...I think Henderson wants us to talk."
"Did you put him up to this?!"
"Eddie didn't put me up to anything!", Dustin shouted from above. "You two need to get your shit together. I'll be back in an hour. Don't have make up sex in my cellar."
Steve tried opening it up but they were sealed shut until Dustin, or perhaps Mrs. Henderson let them out.
"The nerve of that kid", Eddie huffed.
"Right? Where the hell does he get it from?"
"Not from me. Us Munsons are humble. He must've gotten it from your side of the family."
Steve smiled as a traitorous breath of laughter came from him and he clamped it down immediately. It wasn't fair. Eddie couldn't do this. He glared at him, ready to blame the whole situation on him even though he was probably tricked as well.
"Don't look at me like that", Eddie said, his voice soft.
"I'd rather not look at you at all." Steve turned his back on him, hoping he could ignore him until they were let out. He came face to face with the mended part of the wall that Dart had dug out years ago. Such and odd series of events that led him here, that led him to Eddie. Just for it to end like this.
"Steve-"
“I fucking hate you.”
“No you don’t. Take that back right now.”
"I won't."
"Then look me in the eye and tell me."
Steve turned and he wished he hadn't. All he saw in Eddie's eyes was heartbreak. He knew because it mirrored the look in his own eyes. But it couldn't be real. It just couldn't.
"You should be in the movies, you know that? Give Hollywood a run for its money."
"Steve just listen to me! I'm sorry for playing with your feelings. I really am! But I wasn't lying when I said I want to be with you. Steve I l-"
"Don't you fucking dare." Steve's grip on his bat tightened. "Don't say that if you don't mean it or I swear..."
"Steve..." Eddie took a breath and stepped closer to him, incredibly aware of the weapon in his hand. "I love you."
Steve dropped the bat and Eddie pulled him into his arms. Steve wanted to beg for so many things. For Eddie to always love him, to treat him gently, to make him believe that he wanted him forever. It all came out in the form of tears.
"If this is another joke-"
"The only joke here if that I had you and fucked it up like an idiot."
"You really want me?", Steve sniffled.
"Baby, baby, baby", Eddie cradled his face and wiped some of his tears away. “I’m not even gonna lie, I’m just so fucking obsessed with you.” He wondered how many of his messages got through to Steve in the end. "Did you listen to any of my voicemails?"
Steve allowed a small smile through. "I think if I did, I would've caved in too fast. I'm obsessed with you too. I love you, Eddie. Too much probably."
"I'll be the judge of what's too much. And you, Steven Malcolm Harrington, are not too much."
Eddie kissed him and Steve felt whole again. Then Eddie kissed him again and Steve felt more than whole. In between the kisses, Steve started to laugh.
"I can't believe we're making out where Dustin kept his pet demodog."
Eddie jumped up into his arms. "His pet WHAT!?!"

Pairings: Steve Harrington x fem!reader
cw: Friends to lovers, angst, hurt, romance, eventual smut (probably), no use of y/n, Steve being a bit of an ass
Author's note: My first proper fic in a while so please be gentle on me. <3 There will be 2 Parts to this fic if the demand is there.
"Are we there yet?" Robin whined from the back of Steve's car, repeating the same question she'd asked ten minutes earlier. Frustration having set in about an hour ago when Eddie had fallen asleep and decided to use her shoulder as a pillow. You couldn't exactly blame her for being pissed off, the journey had felt long and drawn out and the current heat wave definitely wasn’t helping the current situation, with irritated sighs and huffs being echoed over Eddie’s loud snoring.
"Relax, Robs, we're almost there." Steve promised his friend through the rear view mirror. "Right?" He asked, squeezing your thigh for reassurance in the passenger seat beside him, begging you to say yes either way so Robin would quit bugging him. You flinched at the sudden feeling of Steve’s warm hand on your skin, shifting just enough so that his hand fell from your leg. Your uncomfortable body language hadn't gone unnoticed by him, looking at you in utter confusion before turning his focus back to the open road again.
"Oh yeah, about a half hour and we should be at the motel." You muffled, scanning the map as your friend breathed a sigh of relief behind you. You had navigated the majority of the journey, swapping with Robin forty minutes in when it became clear she couldn't understand the directions, meaning you were left with no choice but to sit up front with Steve because Eddie had already smoked a joint by himself and couldn't be trusted to guide you to your required destination safely or on time.
He had won four Metallica tickets on some radio show contest a few days prior, pleading with his friend to drive you all to Ohio in his BMW so he could see his favourite band play live for the first time. It wasn't really Steve's kind of music but who was he to turn down a night away from Hawkins?
You had been friends with Steve and the others ever since he called to Dustin's a couple of years ago while you were babysitting at the Henderson household, blissfully unaware of the danger that surrounded Hawkins at the time. Their friendship had taken you a little bit by surprise at first but you had to admit, you found their bond totally adorable. Especially, when Steve would give Dustin advice about girls and how to do his hair and how they'd protect each other and now you too, every time the world went to shit. You really didn't expect to get mixed up in a world involving supernatural creatures when you said yes to a babysitting job, that was definitely not on the advertisement but now you'd do anything for that kid and the rest of the group to keep them safe.
Steve had been drawn to you from the very beginning, not at all prepared for a pretty girl to answer the door to him while he waited for the younger boy. He immediately recognised you from high school, knowing it definitely wasn't the first time you had caught his attention.
"Oh hey, sorry, I didn't know Henderson had a sister." He muttered innocently, sliding his hands in to his pockets as you leaned against the doorframe wearing a plaid skirt and woolen cardigan.
"Pfft he wishes...I'm just his favourite babysitter or at least I'm the only one crazy enough to look after him.” You joked as Steve let out a small chuckle. “So, what are you doing here anyway ‘King Steve’? Mrs Henderson didn’t mention Dustin having a play date tonight.” You teased, folding your arms as Steve pressed his tongue to his cheek, a little taken aback by your wit. "Well, if Mrs Henderson had told me Dustin had such a pretty babysitter, I might have come play more often." He flirted, enjoying the back and forth between you, completely forgetting the reason he had called to Dustin's in the first place.
“Dude, that's my babysitter and she's awesome so don't even think about trying any shit with her!" Dustin had warned his older friend, seeing the lust in Steve's eyes as you walked away to let them talk.
Of course you liked Steve, he was gorgeous and sweet and he wasn't the stuck up asshole you'd remembered from high school. But, you knew that he was still getting over Nancy and you wouldn't be anyones rebound girl. So, you started occupying your time with Billy Hargrove to get over your little crush on Steve and it wasn't long until he became your boyfriend. You actually liked Billy, saw parts of him that no one else had but your friendship with Steve complicated things between you from the beginning. Cause, every time Billy did something to hurt you or piss you off, it was Steve you turned to for comfort, leading to fist fights between the two boys and you caught in the middle.
Billy hated that you were so close with his biggest rival, he hated that the other boy knew so much about you and your relationship and he hated knowing that your feelings for Steve went way past platonic, even if you hadn't realised it yet. So, when he eventually made you choose between your friendship with Steve and your relationship with him, Billy wasn't all that surprised when you chose Steve. Not that you ever told your friend he was the reason for the break up.
Over the next few years, you and Steve had gotten even closer, spending more time in his house than your own because he hated being there by himself and you didn't want to go home either. Your Mother had long passed away and your Father was a drunk. It was one of the many things you had in common, both of you having shitty parents and it was nice to have someone who understood how you were feeling. But lately, you had taken a step back from him, deciding to stay at Robin's house instead until you had enough money for a place of your own, because Billy Hargrove had been right all along, you were in love with your best friend and you were fucking terrified of him finding out.
It wasn’t supposed to happen, you certainly didn't want it to happen, it was so cliche that it made you physically nauseous, but thinking you had lost Steve when he disappeared under the water that night on the lake was all it took for you to realise just how much he really meant to you. Now you didn't know to act around your friend, not wanting to give him the slightest inkling of your current feelings towards him. You hated the way your stomach would flip when he'd smile at you, cheeks heating when he’d compliment you and the way you'd almost forget to breathe when he leaned in to kiss your cheek after picking you up from work, it was truly tragic. But to make matters worse, Robin had let slip that Steve was back on the dating scene again and you were just a tiny bit jealous and a little pissed off that he had failed to mention that detail to you personally when you spent so much time with him.
The sun was bright, high in the sky, heat taking over the BMW before you rolled the window down, welcoming the instant breeze as you pulled your sunglasses from the top of your head back over your eyes. Steve was immediately hypnotised by the scent of your shampoo and perfume as your hair blew in the wind. He tried to stay focused on the road in front of him but you were making it incredibly difficult in your low cut crop top and tiny denim shorts, hanging the top half of your body out the window for air. He was sure he almost drooled at the small sight of your laced bra that threatened to unveil itself if you shuffled in your seat much more.
Steve silently wondered what had been going on with you lately, you had become so distant and he was worried that he'd done something to upset you, said something stupid, but he couldn't think of anything. You didn't stay with him anymore, you flinched when he'd touch you and now, you barely even looked at him. Whatever was going on with you, he needed to find out soon, because it was driving him crazy.
"You ok over there, Dingus?" Robin teased, elbow leaning on the back of the drivers seat, catching Steve gazing at you. She was sure that you and Steve belonged together but you refused to let her know the full extent of your feelings because as much as you loved Robin, you didn't trust her not accidentally spill the beans to Steve.
“Uh yeah, m’fine.” He swallowed, relieved you hadn’t caught him staring as you rolled the window up again. He knew he shouldn't have been looking at you like that, you were his best friend for christ sake and he was sort of dating someone now, but he just couldn't help himself, not when it came to you. He never could.
“Eyes on the road, Romeo.” Robin whispered, pinching his cheek as he swotted her hand away, focusing back on the road again.
Thirty minutes later and you had arrived at the motel you’d be spending the night in, climbing in to the backseat, shaking Eddie to wake him from his slumber as Robin and Steve went to check in.
“Wake up sleeping beauty, we’re here.” You announced as he stretched out, yawning loudly.
“Oh man, why’d you wake me up, I was having such a good dream. You and Nance were giving me a—"
“I’m begging you not to finish that sentence, Munson.” You pleaded, placing a hand over his mouth.
“Hey, I’m a guy. I can’t help that I dream about my hot friends.” He defended as you got back out of the car while he followed suit.
“That doesn’t mean you have to tell me about it though.” You shuddered as he let out a laugh. “So, you finally gonna bunk up with Harrington tonight, put the rest of us out of our misery?” He grinned, pulling a little worn box out of his pocket, lighting up a cigarette.
“Nope. I’m sharing with Robin, you’re bunking with Steve.” You replied, rummaging in the trunk for your duffel bag, not really wanting to talk about Steve.
"We could swap if you wa-"
"I’m good with Robin." You interrupted, as he picked up on the irritated tone in your voice. "What's going on with you two lately?" Eddie questioned.
"Nothing." You shrugged, swinging your bag over your shoulder, Eddie looking at you, completely unconvinced by the answer you had given him. "Total bullshit."
"There's nothing going on, Eddie." You repeated.
"Did you guys finally do it or something? Is that why you aren't staying at his house anymore?" He asked as you let out a sarcastic laugh.
"No, we didn't 'do it'..….how did you even know I haven't been staying at Steve's?” You quizzed, Eddie offering you a drag of his cigarette, leaning against the Beamer. “He told me. Asked me if I knew what was going on with you, told him if he didn't know, there was no way I would."
“Rob said he’s been going on a couple of dates recently, I figured me sleeping in the next bedroom might be a bit of a mood killer." You revealed, exhaling the cigarette smoke as Eddie grinned at you. “Ah, so the issue is he's not doing you?" He joked as you rolled your eyes.
"That's not the issue, Eddie, there is no issue!" You lied, handing Eddie back what was left of his cigarette as he chuckled at your frustration.
“If you say so princess."
"So are you ever going to tell that girl how you feel or are you happy drooling at her from her a distance for the rest of your life?" Robin questioned Steve at the check in desk while he tried to shush her.
"Jesus Robin, will you stop with that shit? We're just friends, alright?" Steve declared, leaning heavily on the counter.
"No dingus, we're just friends, you don't look at your friends the way you look at her, there's a difference." She stated as Steve looked out the window, back to where you and Eddie were still talking outside in the parking lot. Seeing you two laughing outside stirred up a hint of jealousy in him because it should have been him you were laughing with, not Eddie. Steve was supposed to be your best friend and it was killing him that you were treating him like a total stranger.
"I don't even know why you're dating other chicks, you've got the perfect girl right out there." Robin pointed, as Steve let out a frustrated breath.
"m'not dating ‘other chicks’ Robin, just one ch...girl, Tracy, remember?" He asked as Robin laughed. "Oh I remember, do you? Beause it didn't seem like you did when you were mentally undressing your best friend back in the car."
"I wasn't "mentally undressing" her!"
"You totally were though." She muttered under her breath.
"Robin, I swear to god, just drop it. I'm seeing Tracy now, please, just let it go." He begged as she finally decided to ease up on her friend, seeing the annoyance on his face. "Fine, but she was a real bitch in high school, y'know?"
"You thought everyone was a bitch in high school." Steve replied unamused at her response. "Not everyone." She argued, turning her head to where you were walking in with Eddie.
"Ok, here we go, we have one room reserved under a Miss Buckley and one reserved under a Mr. Munson is that correct?" The receptionist asked.
"Yes, Ma'am." Eddie replied with a cheesy grin, winking at the girl behind the desk.
"Great, your rooms are ready now. Here's your key Mr. Munson you're in room fourteen and Miss Buckley, you're in room sixteen, enjoy your stay." She smiled as you all gathered your things to head to your residence for the night.
"Fuck, there was something really hot about the way she kept calling me Mr. Munson." Eddie smirked as you walked towards the rooms.
"She was just being polite, you pervert." You muttered, shoving your friend playfully.
"Aww don't be jealous sweetheart, you're still my number one girl." He said throwing an arm around you.
"In your dreams, Munson." You fought back.
"You were." He teased, sticking his tongue out playfully. Steve walked ahead, finally finding the room he'd be sharing with Eddie, swiping the room key, pushing the old creaky door in with his shoulder.
"Oh you gotta be fucking kidding me!" Steve cursed, opening the door as you all entered to see what he was referring to.
“What’s the prob….oh.” Eddie sighed, finally noticing the lack of a second double bed.
"Aww, this is so romantic. All you need is some candles and rose petals and you’re all set.” Robin teased, earning a glare from both guys.
"S'not funny Robin, we’re not sharing a bed, go check your room and see what you’ve got.” He requested as Robin wandered off to see if your room had the same issue.
"Shit, I'm sure I asked for two beds dude." Eddie stated rubbing his neck as the other let out an irritated breath. "You had one job Munson..."
"We've got one double bed too." Robin revealed, swinging from the doorframe unbothered. Sharing a bed wasn’t an issue for either of you, you'd done it most weekends at Steve's anyway when Robin was too drunk to go home or when you stayed at hers.
"Alright I'll go back to the front desk and see if that hot little receptionist can help us out." Eddie grinned, heading for the door but you placed a hand on his chest to hold him back.
"Easy there lover boy, the sign said "No Vacancies", it's totally sold out." You explained, hearing Steve curse behind you.
"Looks like you guys are roomies then." Robin laughed as they both shook their heads in defiance.
"No, absolutely not." Steve refused.
"Agreed." The other boy reiterated.
"Are you guys really that immature? It's just one night." You explained, taking a seat on the end of the bed.
"Have you seen the size of Harrington's dick? I don't want that thing poking at me all night!" Eddie shrieked as Steve smirked smugly. Your eyes widened at the mention of your friends package, sending them straight to his dick. Your movement hadn’t gone unnoticed by Steve who was looking at you confidently, almost enjoying the fact he had caught you staring at him.
"So what do you suggest then?" Robin quizzed, getting bored of standing around, wanting to freshen up before the concert.
"Easy, I go with one of you lovely ladies and one of you stays here with ol' big dick." He proposed, nudging his head towards Steve who seemed more than happy with that arrangement.
"No way." You refused knowing you’d end up getting stuck with Steve.
"Why not?" Steve quizzed, folding his strong arms, almost looking insulted by how quick you shot down the suggested arrangement.
Because you're sleeping with someone that's not me...
"Why should Robin and I have to switch because you two aren't man enough to share a bed for a couple of hours?" You spat, directing the question towards your best friend.
"Because we're guys! It's different for girls..." Eddie interrupted before Steve had the chance to speak.
"Afraid you'll like it?" Robin teased.
"If it's that much of a problem, why don't one of you just sleep in the car." You suggest, earning a glare from Steve. "I fucking drove us here, m'not sleepin' in the damn car!" Steve answered back as you noticed him glaring at you, quickly picking up on his pissed off tone.
"Sleep on the floor then." You muttered.
"This is ridiculous, why are we still arguing?” Steve groaned, not understanding why you were so against sharing a bed with him. You had done it before so why was now such a big deal?
“You’re the one being ridiculous! It’s just somewhere to sleep for a few hours.” You replied getting more agitated each time Steve spoke.
“Guys please…” Robin begged, sensing the tension between you both starting to boil over.
“Oh I’m the one being ridiculous? That's rich...” Steve fired back.
“What the hell is that supposed to mean, Harrington?” You questioned, raising a brow at him, completely forgetting that Robin and Eddie were watching this encounter unfold between you.
“You know exactly what it means, sweetheart.” He challenged and suddenly, you knew he wasn't talking about the sleeping arrangements anymore.
"Ok children, let's just cut the shit shall we? Robin, you and I will take the other room and leave these lovebirds alone to fuck out this sexual tension before we all lose the will to live.” Eddie grinned, grabbing his bags, leading Robin out of the room as she whispered a "sorry" to you.
“Shut the fuck up, Munson.” Steve replied, glaring at the other boy as you took a mental note to murder the metal head at a later time.
"Hey, it's not like I'm saying anything you guys don’t already know. Why don’t you just save us all some time and get it over with huh? We'll meet you in the lobby in an hour.” Eddie replied, closing the door behind him, leaving you all alone with your best friend for the first time in a long time.
“Idiot.” Steve muttered, throwing his car keys on the nightstand, throwing himself on to the bed. "This is just fucking great..." You muttered under your breath, the awkward tension between you already suffocating the room along with the smell of stale cigarette smoke that seemed to be attached to all of the soft furnishings. You could feel Steve's eyes on you while you grabbed your bag and headed for the bathroom, knowing you needed to get away from him and give each other some much needed space after the heated exchange.
"Need to use the bathroom before I get ready?" You questioned, a hand resting on your hip as Steve barely acknowledged you, grabbing the remote to turn on the tv.
"Nope."
"Cool." You whispered, closing the door behind you, quickly turning on the shower so you could finally let out the tears you'd been trying desperately to hold back for so long.
You didn't know how to make things right with Steve. You thought you were protecting your friendship with him by keeping him at a distance until your feelings disappeared, but it seemed all you were really doing was making things much worse between you.

Journaling Billy is so personal for me.
Billy with a gratitude journal that he writes in every time something good happens, or someone does something nice for him.
He got the journal from a nurse at the hospital post-starcourt, who thought it would be a nice way for him to pass the time, while also lifting his spirits and helping him realize how much love and kindness is around him, even if he doubts it.
It's just a blue, soft cover bound book, but he humors the nurse because she's got warm, pretty eyes and reminds him of his mom.
He uses it often, even after leaving the hospital.
Steve catches him writing in his journal one day, and Billy tells him it's fine if he reads the gratitude journal but not his diary.
Steve, of course, is dying to see what's in the journal, what Billy considers nice, and what good things have been happening to the love of his life.
Aug 1, 1985 Everyone came to see me. Even those kids Harrington always babysits. That's nice, right?
Aug 5 Harrington brought me some food from some burger joint. It was good. I guess he's nice even though I was kind of a dick to him.
Aug 21 Harrington showed up to drive me home. I don't know why he's being so nice to me. It pisses me off because I think he just feels sorry for me. I'm probably using this journal the wrong way but I don't care. I can't talk to anybody about this. I'm not feeling that grateful for shit today.
Aug 25 Max helped me with my pain medication. I thought she hated me. She acts like everything's fine. I have to admit I’m grateful what happened only stays in my nightmares and I wake up to a different reality.
Aug 29 Harrington called to check on me. Offered to come over and play cards. He doesn't have to keep pretending. I like the company, though.
Sept 10th Max tried to stay home from school to look after me. I'm doing a lot better so I didn't need the help. I still don't understand why everyone's being so nice after what I did. Sept 14th Felt strong enough to go out for some air on my own. Saw Sinclair and that other kid. Think his name's Dustin. They were on their bikes. They waved and asked how I was doing. Told them I was fine and they rode off. Do I deserve their concern? Sept 15th Sinclair came back while I was on the porch. Asked for Max. I told him he couldn't be here because of Neil. We waited for Max a few houses down and talked about basketball. He's trying out for the team so I gave him some advice. It was a nice conversation. Didn't feel forced at all.
Sept 20th I told Lucas I was sorry for what happened that night. He said he'd forgotten all about it. I know the little shit was lying, but I guess he forgives me. That was cool of him.
Sept 29th Lucas made the team and thanked me for the advice. I don't feel like I did anything.
Oct 4th I'm feeling better than ever. Driving around on my own again. Nobody seems to blame me for what I did, and everyone's nice everywhere I go.
Oct 11th Went to see El. She's always kind to me. She's like the little sister I never had. She made me some waffles.
Oct 15th Saw Harrington again. It was warm so we went swimming in his pool. I really missed the water.
Oct 29th Haven't been writing much down. It feels like I'm saying the same things over and over. Everyone's always nice to me. Dad's not bothering me anymore. I feel like I have a lot of support around me. For once I feel safe. Oct 31st Went to a halloween party with Harrington. First time having a beer in months. Got a little too drunk and we kissed. He didn't seem to hate it. I didn't either.
Nov 9th Finally talked to Steve again after the kiss. He asked if I wanted to go steady. I said no at first, then changed my mind. I'm glad I did.
Steve smiled as he read every entry. Every few days, Billy's entries were longer and longer. He talked about things that made him smile, people he met, and how much he appreciated the simplest things. It was an amazing transformation. He continued to read the entries, his eyes widening when he read the most recent one. January 12th 1986 I'm falling in love with Steve. I was hoping he’d say it first but he hasn’t said anything. Maybe I’m too hopeful. He treats me like he loves me too, I think. But I’m not sure. Steve quickly closed the book, feeling like he'd violated Billy's privacy by reading something he hadn't known before. "Why so quiet, Steve? You read yesterday's entry, huh?" "I—yeah. I thought maybe you wrote it in the wrong journal."
"I didn't. I was gonna tell you, I just...I dunno. I didn't want you to think I was trying to move too fast."
Steve laughed. "You have no idea how relieved I am."
Billy narrowed his eyes. "Why?"
"Billy, I've been in love with you for weeks."
Billy snorted. "You're such a sap, pretty boy."
They shared a kiss and Billy wrote in his journal about how grateful he was, to love and be loved.
January 16th On August 21st last year, I was wrong. I have everything to be grateful for.
▪️▫️▪️
A little something to show my gratitude for reaching 400 followers. I appreciate all of you ❤️
Also tagging some friends I’ve met here that really belong in my gratitude journal for all the kindness they’ve shown lately and their posts just make me smile.

Tumblr media
So... some of you may have noticed my fics have come to a screeching halt the last couple of months which is not like me and I am here to explain myself.
Babygirl, I have been preparing.
The end of this month is my 1 year anniversary of posting in this fandom, of posting any of my work online after not doing it for like fifteen fucking years and it has brought me so much incandescent joy, I decided I had to do something for it.
(I've also hit like... several milestones which is fucking insane like you all know I'm just some cranky bog witch, right??)
I have been working on my WIPs for over the last two months. All... holy mother of god... like nine of them???
Some of these have been completed, some I am still writing and some are mostly done.
So starting from my anniversary date, 23rd October, every second or third day, I'll be posting a chapter of something.
I have so much material built up this shit could go on until 2024
@hbyrde36 called it my own personal Penny00Dreadful BigBang... and yeah kinda! 😅
I wanted to do this to show just how much I love this community. Your kind words, your support, your unhinged ramblings, your obsessive love, your talent (for free??) it's all amazing it's so amazing and I wanted to explode forth with my love for it so I figured why the fuck not do this stupid idea??😅
All of these will be posted both to tumblr and AO3 so subscribe over there to keep updated or follow me here!
OH! And let me know if you wanna be tagged! If you wanna be tagged for a specific fic or for everything I'll add you, whatever you want.
You've made me so happy and so warm for the last year. The way I know if I'm having a bad day I just need to hop onto this side of tumblr and everything will be peaches and gravy again.
I love you guys so much. 😘🖤
Updated Schedule - (18th Feb 2024)
Fic list with blurbs below the cut, this will (roughly) be the order they're posted in:
Return of The King - COMPLETE
Steddie Vampire AU with a twist! Vampire Steve comes back after falling to the bats. There is two more chapters left and those chapters have been completed.
Comeuppance - COMPLETE
Dustin just wants Steve to be happy. So he tries to parent trap him with Nancy. Clearly they should be together. But Steve's heart doesn't even seem to be in it at all! How is he so bad at this? And Eddie is being less than helpful
Rookie Mistake - COMPLETE
My Steddie Established Relationship Spies AU oneshot that will have a multi-chapter prequel fic coming very soon after!
Eddie is "retired" and Steve has been injured on the job, so he's supposed to be taking it easy. How hard could a walk to the gas station be?
Before He Cheats - COMPLETE
Songfic! Carrie Underwood - Before He Cheats
I literally have no excuse for this one. The rotted brainworms were behind the steering wheel with this one.
One evening, Eddie gets a call from some guy named Steve dropping the news on him that his boyfriend has been cheating on him. With this Steve person and Steve had no idea up until that day.
And Eddie rarely takes that shit lying down.
Steddievember Smut - COMPLETE
No Nut November is here! One can play however he wants. The other just has to wait for December to roll around. I have no other words to describe what this will be, it does what it says on the tin. I blame the STWG discord server. Currently we're looking at four little ficlets for this.
Cat and Mouse - COMPLETE
The Steddie Spies AU Prequel! How they got together and the extreme ups and downs their enemies/rivals to lovers journey goes through. I had so much fun with this one.
And They Were Roommates! - COMPLETE
omg they were roommates.
Steve and Eddie don't hate each other exactly. They just... tolerate each other. But one night Eddie doesn't come home for hours. Long after he's supposed to and it's not like Steve is worried or anything... he's just... concerned for a fellow human being... that's all.
Through The Valley
Post-Apocalyptic AU. Eddie, Dustin and Nancy have a nice little community of survivors outside of Hawkins that they take care of, surviving day to day. Everyone's a little broken, missing the rest of their Party just hoping that one day they'll find each other again.
Devotion
Dungeons and Dragons AU. Steve is the golden boy of the small town of Hawkins. Harrington in name and now a Paladin with his very own oath to hunt down the Bard, the witch Eddie Munson and bring him back to justice under High Priest Henry Creel.

After the stuff with vecna and after Eddie has healed from his wounds, he decides to leave Hawkins. Everyone there already wants him dead and blames him for everything so he sees it as the only way out. He packs his stuff in the night and leaves without saying good bye, he hates good byes and he knows they would try and convince him to stay. The only person he left a letter was Wayne.
Fast forward nearly 5 years. Eddie owns a tattoo shop, he has a cozy apartment and two cats he would give the entire world.
On one of his slower days, the bell on the front door of the shop dings, letting him know someone's just walked in. "One second!" He calls from the back room. He takes one final drag of his cigarette before stubbing it out in the cat shaped ash tray. "Sorry. What can i do for you...today." Eddie stops at the front counter, he can't tell if what he's seeing is real or if he accidentally smoked a joint out the back that's making him hallucinate Steve fucking Harrington standing in his shop.
Steve looked just as shocked as he did. His mouth was open in a tiny 'o' and he was staring at Eddie like he also couldn't believe he was real. "Eddie?" Steve came around the counter and stood right in front of Eddie. He was wearing glasses, he doesn't remember Steve needing glasses, and he had let his moustache grow out. He looked good. "Do you remember me? Steve Harrington?"
Eddie rolled his eyes and smiled. "Yes, you're hard to forget, Steve." He tugged a piece of his hair in front of his face, he felt so small under Steve's gaze. Was he angry at him for leaving? Did they all hate him? "What are you doing here?"
Steve sighed and ran a hand through his hair, still as glorious as ever. "Is it not obvious?" He chuckled and gestured to Eddie's flash sheets on the wall. "I came to get a tattoo for my birthday, Robin convinced me. She's trying to find a place to park."
Eddie nodded and leaned over the desk to grab one of his information sheets for Steve to fill out. "Well, fill this out for me, Harrington. Whatever you want is on the house." Steve started to protest but Eddie just shoved the sheet and a pen at him. "Consider it a birthday present and... an apology." He gave him a weak smile, Steve's eyes dropping to look at his snake bites.
"Cool piercings." He leaned a little closer to look at the rest of them. He had snakebites, a septum piercing, his bridge and an eyebrow piercing. "Did you do them yourself?" Eddie nodded, a little out of breath by how close Steve was. "You look great, Eddie. Have things been good for you?" He walked around the other side of the counter, finally giving Eddie space to breathe, and leaned on it as he filled out the form.
Was he really asking him small talk questions? Was he not going to ask Eddie why he left? Why he didn't say good bye?
"I've been good. The shops doing great and everyone around here is really nice, I guess." He fiddled with the hem of his shirt, he felt like he was standing at the edge of a cliff, just waiting for the ground to break underneath him. Waiting for Steve to drop the nice act and yell at him. "How are things for you?"
Steve shrugged and gave Eddie a smile. "Much better now." Eddie scoffed, a smile of his own tugging at his lips. "Robin and I actually just got a place here. We had to make sure it only had two rooms otherwise Dustin would have weasled his way into moving in with us." Just the mention of Dustin's name made Eddie's heart squeeze. He hated himself for never saying good bye to him. "He missed you a lot, by the way."
There it is. The ground shifted and Eddie felt himself tumble down the side of the cliff.
Eddie didn't say anything, just stared at his shoes, biting the inside of his cheek to stop himself from crying. "I'm sorry I didn't say good bye." He tilted his head back and blinked the tears out of his eyes, he spent too long on his eye-liner this morning to cry it off over something that happened years ago. "But I couldn't stay in Hawkins. I had to get out. I don't regret leaving but I do regret not saying good bye to any of you."
Steve was staring at him now, he put his pen down and came back around to Eddie's side of the counter. He stood so close to Eddie he could smell the cigarette he must have smoked before coming in. "You have nothing to be sorry for, Eddie. No one was mad at you, a little upset but we understood why you did it." He hesitated for a moment, his hands reaching for Eddie but stopping half way. "We missed you." He paused. "I missed you. I still have your vest, I can give it back, if you'll let me see you again after this?"
Eddie couldn't stop the tears now. He'd been ignoring how much he missed his friends for years. Ignoring the little voice at the back of his head that would tell him to go back. But having Steve here basically asking if he wanted to be friends again was enough to break him.
"Fuck you, Harrington. Making me cry at work." Steve didn't hesitate this time, he stepped closer and pulled Eddie into his arms, his warmth and smell were still the same. Still so comforting and so unbelievably Steve, it was overwhelming. "I missed you too." He mumbled into Steve's chest.
They stood like that for God knows how long, until the bell on top of the door rang loudly through the shop and caused them to jump apart. "Jesus Christ, I couldn't find a parking- Eddie?!" Robin was standing in the door way now, her shocked face mirroring Steve's when he walked in.
"Miss me?" Eddie said weakly, he knows he looks awful right now. His eyes a little puffy from crying and his eye-liner smudged on his face and the front of Steve's shirt.
Robin smiled and scooped him up in a hug so tight he felt like he was going to burst. "You better give us free tattoos, Munson."

What if Eddie had been hidden at Steve's house after Chrissy? Part Two
Part one
Steve entered the Creel house. His thoughts immediately turned to Eddie. This house screamed haunted, and it was definitely something that Eddie would have loved to investigate. It's crazy how quickly the guy grew on him, how quickly he developed feelings for the guy who had been living in his house the last few days. He fondly recalled when he had woken up to find Eddie had gone downstairs and managed to find a channel that was playing Scooby-Doo. Eddie had passed out in front of the TV, and Steve had to up carry him back to bed.
"Whatcha thinking about?" Dustin asked with a wicked grin.
"Fuck off," Steve said, the grin slipping from his face and glared at Dustin.
"I didn't say anything," Dustin grinned and paused. "So, are we going to talk about it?"
"Talk about what?" Steve asked.
"The incident," Dustin said and made kissing faces.
Steve groaned.
"I did it without thinking, okay?" Steve asked.
"Which means subconsciously that you wanted to do it," Dustin grinned. "It would be the coolest thing if my two favorite people got together."
"Okay, just because I like him doesn't mean he likes me back. In fact, he probably hates me now," Steve mumbled the last part. "Wait, I'm your favorite person?"
"Okay, even if he doesn't like you in that way, he wouldn't hate you for liking him. He'd probably be super flattered. I would be," Dustin said. "And Steve? You know I look up to you, right? We all do. I know we joke about you being our mom, but we know that you're our brother. Even Mike says so. We love you."
"Jesus, it's so dusty in here," Steve said, sniffling and blinking his watery eyes. "Love you too, man."
"Come on, Fred, let's go search for clues," Dustin said.
"I guess that makes you Scooby then," Steve said.
"Why in the hell does that make me Scooby?"
"Don't be so offended, man, you'd be lucky to be Scooby."
"Yeah, you're spending way too much time with Eddie," Dustin said.
They searched the house for clues where Steve ran into a black widow web. Now, thanks to Robin, on top of everything, Steve was worried about spider eggs nesting in his hair. It definitely caused him to question his friendship with her a little bit. They were led into the attic, and they figured out that Vecna was operating from the Upside Down. Nancy suggested going back to Lover's Lake to search for more clues. Hopefully, the cops were gone by now. They weren't, so Steve suggested they wait it out at Skull Rock.
"So, are you going to bring Eddie here after everything?" Nancy said teasingly.
"Ugh, seriously, you too?" Steve asked.
"Oh, come on. You definitely have a type. Nerds with very big hair," Nancy said, flipping her hair.
"Ooh, are we teasing Steve about his crush?" Robin asked, coming up behind Nancy. "You definitely have a type."
"Seriously, Robin?"
"Oh, come on, you teased me about my crush on Vickie. It's only fair that I do the same," Robin said, and then her eyes widened, slapping a hand over her mouth.
"Robin, it's fine. You don't have to worry about me. I had a friend like you, and I'm more than okay with Steve, too. I don't judge. . .well, not matters like these," Nancy said softly.
"Barb?" Robin asked softly, and Nancy nodded, tears filling her eyes.
"I just can't believe that this happened again. With Fred, I should have - " Nancy began, her bottom lip quivering.
"Hey, Nancy, it's not your fault," Steve said softly and pulled her into his chest. "It wasn't your fault then, and it wasn't your fault now. Okay?"
"It wasn't your fault either, Steve. I'm sorry," Nancy said.
"If anyone is to blame, it's that asshole scientist who decided to play god," Steve said.
"Yeah, fuck that guy," Robin said and Nancy laughed.
"Group hug!" Dustin exclaimed, grabbing Max and pulling her with him.
They laughed as the three kids slammed into them. Pretty soon, they were all laughing against each other. They started moving towards Lover's Lake, waiting near the treeline for the cops to clear out. It wasn't until night started to fall that the cops finally drove away. When they did, Dustin realized that his compass was going all wonky. It led to them figuring out that there was a gate in Lover's Lake. Dustin had started following the compass closer to the lake when they ran into Eddie.
"Eddie! What the hell?!" Steve and Dustin exclaimed.
"Jason - gasp - came - gasp - knocking," Eddie said breathlessly as he leaned heavily against Steve.
"Shit," Steve cursed. "Are you okay?"
"No, man. I think someone told Jason that Henderson hangs out there all the time," Eddie said when he finally caught his breath and buried his face into Steve’s neck. "I don't feel safe anywhere, man. I mean, except with you. I mean, all of you. Not just Steve. So, what's happening here then?"
Eddie straightened up, crossing his arms, realizing that there were people watching. His cheeks were tinged pink.
"Well, we found out that Vecna is attacking from the Upside Down, and there might be a gate in Lover's Lake, which is where Patrick died. Jason thought he saw Eddie, apparently, but according to the police it was just someone going for a late night swim," Dustin said. "I overheard Callahan, and apparently Jason thinks you're a vessel for Satan."
"Well, he's definitely hot enough," Steve said outloud, and everyone turned to look at him. "You know, because of Hellfire and hell is hot, which is where Satan lives, you know? Forget I said anything!"
"No, I want to hear more about how you think I'm hot enough for hell," Eddie said, smirking.
"You can talk about that later, Eddie!" Dustin said, snapping his fingers at him. "Onward!"
He started running towards the lake. He would have fallen in if it hadn't been for Eddie and Steve catching him.
"Careful there, big guy," Eddie said, slapping his chest.
Luckily, they found someone's boat abandoned by the shore. Steve and Eddie held the boat down while Robin climbed in. Steve offered his hand to Robin, but she decided to help herself by using his and Eddie's heads. Steve held his hand out to Eddie. He took Steve’s hand, turned it over, and placed a kiss on it before climbing into the boat to help Nancy. Meanwhile, Robin giggled with Nancy, pointing at Steve's red face.
Steve stood up in the boat, took off his shoes, and then his sweater. He tossed it at Eddie and winked at him. Eddie cursed at Steve and then took his hand, gazing at him. Steve gripped his hand, rubbing his thumb over his skin as he stared into Eddie's wide brown eyes. Steve sucked in a breath.
"Be careful," Eddie muttered and released Steve’s hand, touching the spot where Steve rubbed.
Eddie watched as Steve jumped into the lake. Eddie pulled out a cigarette with shaking hands and went to light it, but before he could, Robin took the cigarette out of his mouth. Eddie watched as she threw it into the lake.
"Gross," she said.
"So I'm just supposed to sit here stressed?" Eddie grumped. "You know, a fish probably ate that."
"I'm worried about him too," Robin said and took his hand.
"You taking advantage of my stressed out state, Buckley?" Eddie asked.
"Even if I wasn't a big fat lesbian, Munson, I wouldn't touch your grungy ass with a ten foot pole," Robin said, and Eddie laughed. "You know, you asked Steve that very same question. Do you WANT someone to take advantage of you?
"Me too, Buckley, I mean, not a lesbian but you know, a bisexual!" Eddie said, slapping her knee.
Robin and Eddie turned to look at Nancy. She laughed.
"I'm okay with you guys being interested in the same gender but I'm strictly into dick. Although I've never been good at the whole romance thing, especially after everything. It's partially why me and Jonathan broke up. I wanted to focus on college, and he wanted to focus on his family," Nancy said. "There's this huge relief that I'm single now where I can just focus on me. I suppose I sound like an asshole."
"What? No!" Robin and Eddie said.
"You're young, Nance, we all are. If being in a relationship isn't something you want, then that's your choice," Robin said. "It's a respectable one."
"You know sea turtles reproduce asexually," Eddie said. "Meaning that they can reproduce without having sex."
"I like sex," Nancy blurted out and slapped a hand over her mouth.
"Hey, no shame in a woman liking sex. You know, there might be a word for you one day. If sea turtles can be asexual then I'm sure there's a word out there -,"
Eddie was interrupted by Steve, resurfacing and telling them that there was definitely a gate in Lover's Lake. Just as quickly as he appeared, Steve was yanked underneath the water. Eddie shrieked, pushing Robin and Nancy out of the way as he dove immediately into the water. Eddie dove into the gate and climbed into the Upside Down. Lightning flashed overhead, and the screech of bat like creatures entered Eddie's ears. Fury ignited in Eddie when he saw Steve being attacked by the bats. He let out a yell and grabbed an oar off the ground of the empty lake. He could hear Nancy and Robin fight along with him as he beat the bats off of Steve. He watched out of the corner of his eye as Steve stood on the bat, ripping it apart with his feet and mouth. Eddie couldn't help but let out the scream that built up beside him.
"JESUS H. CHRIST!"
The bats blocked the gate, so there was no going back through there, and more were coming. Eddie wrapped his arm around Steve’s waist and followed the other two to Skull Rock. Eddie leaned back Steve against the rock and took off his jacket, then he took off Steve’s sweater. That's when Steve noticed that Eddie was wearing one of his polos along with his jeans.
"I see you really helped yourself to my clothes," Steve smirked.
Eddie leaned close to his face until Steve could feel his breath against his skin.
"I'm also wearing your underwear. . .big boy," Eddie whispered. "It's almost as if you're wrapped around my body."
"Jesus," Steve choked. "Are you trying to finish me off? Wait. Don't answer that."
Eddie laughed and took off Steve’s polo, then the undershirt he was wearing underneath. He slipped the polo back on and started tearing up the undershirt to tie around Steve’s waist, getting on his knees to do it. Nancy handed him her own torn up shirt, and he used it to pack it in. He placed his hands on Steve’s hips, admiring his work. Eddie suddenly realized the position he was in and looked up to meet Steve’s darkening eyes. Eddie found it difficult to breathe.
"We are in another dimension! There is NO time for that!" Robin squawked.
"Damn it!" Steve and Eddie cursed.
Eddie put the sweater and his jacket back on, taking his vest off. He slipped the vest onto Steve and clutched the collar.
"For your modesty," Eddie whispered.
"You could have given me the sweater, you know," Steve said.
"Eh, I thought you would look hot as hell in my battle vest, and I was right. Besides, this sweater is mine now," Eddie said and crashed his lips to Steve’s.
The kiss was short but long enough for Steve to kiss back, and this time kissing Eddie was purposeful. Eddie rested his forehead against Steve’s.
"I'm glad you're still here," Eddie whispered.
Part Three Coming Soon (that will definitely be the final part)
A/N: Yes, Eddie was about to come up the word aromantic a few years early. Too bad he was interrupted. Yes. Nancy is single. I hated that storyline. (I honestly hate Jancy). Especially when Jonathan expected that Nancy would give up her dreams for him. Wtf was that?

What You Deserve
Author's Note: I'm easing back into writing, so this fic is super short but it's basically therapy for me rn. I do plan to resume all my series, gonna be on here much more.
Story Summary: You get your heart broken, and Eddie is there for you.
Ship: Eddie Munson x Female Reader
Word Count: 1.2k
Warnings: Reader is really fucking sad, there's a stabbing joke, idk if that would bother someone but just in case.
You burst into Eddie’s trailer without knocking, practically sprinting down the hall to his room and flinging open the door. He and his friends jump when you barge in, startled, Gareth practically falling off the bed.
“Jesus, Y/N do you knock-” Eddie trails off as he notices your tear streaked face. “Alright guys, out.” He says immediately, waving a hand dismissively.
Jeff groans. “You’re kicking us out? We’re in the middle of campaign plotting!”
“Out!” Eddie repeats, pushing them towards the door.
“Of course his girlfriend ranks above us guys, don’t act surprised.” Dustin teases, tugging on Jeff’s arm.
“She’s not my girlfriend, for the millionth time.” Eddie rolls his eyes. He wishes though.
“Mhmm, tell us that the next time you kick us out.” Gareth grumbles.
“You don’t…Eddie, never mind, I didn’t realize you were busy.” You manage to choke out.
Dustin whirls towards you when he hears the pain in your voice and realizes you’re sobbing. “Nah Y/N, it’s totally okay, we were pretty much done.” He smiles sympathetically before elbowing Jeff in the ribs.
“I’m sorry.” You mumble.
“It’s okay Y/N, we really were wrapping it up.” Jeff pats your arm as they leave.
As soon as they’re out the door, Eddie pulls you into his arms, hugging you tightly. “Sweets, what’s wrong? What happened?”
You start to sob again, burying your face in his shoulder. “He chose her. He told me he was moving on and he chose her.”
“Oh fuck. I’m so sorry. Fuck.” Eddie snuggles you closer, stroking your hair. “You deserved better than that fucking prick anyways.”
You sniffle. “Stop, he wasn’t a prick. He told me we’d never be together and I kept on deluding myself into thinking we would somehow.”
“He also told you he was in love with you knowing that you two could never be. He never should have told you. He should have left you alone.”
“Stop, you always blame other people when I’m upset. This was on me. I saw him pulling away and I knew he was trying to move on and I still held on to hope. It just hurts. I was so fucking stupid.”
“Don’t ever say that about yourself again.” Eddie says sternly, brushing tears from your face with his thumb.
“It’s true. Of course he chose her. She’s perfect. She’s skinny and beautiful and uncomplicated and everything I’m not. I knew. I fucking knew he was gonna choose her.”
“Stop it. You are fucking perfect and if he can’t see that, if he can move on like you’re nothing, he’s the fucking stupid one.”
Eddie’s heart is breaking for you. To see you sobbing and hysterical, to see you so fucking broken, it’s almost more than he can take. You were the most amazing person he’d ever known, and he hated the guy for making you doubt that.
“I want him to move on and be happy, he deserves it. But I didn’t know it was gonna hurt this badly. I know it’s selfish but I can’t help but think “What about me? What am I supposed to do?”
“It’s not selfish. You are allowed to feel whatever you feel. Your feelings are valid and fuck anyone that makes you feel otherwise.” Eddie insists, hugging you close again. “I’ve got you, okay? I’m here for you, always.”
“Can we lay down? Please? I’ve cried to the point of exhaustion.” You mumble. All you’d done the entire day was sob and your eyes were so swollen you could barely hold them open.
He pulls you onto the bed with him, shifting onto his back so that you can rest your head on his chest. “Anything you need, sweets. I’m right here.” He murmurs, kissing the top of your head.
“Thank you. I’m really sorry that I interrupted your stuff with your friends.”
“Don’t apologize. You needed me. I’d drop anything if you needed me.” Eddie admits, grateful that you can’t see the blush creeping up his neck.
“You’re so sweet. I don’t know what I would do without you.” You lean up and kiss his cheek. “I’m so lucky to have you.”
He blushes more. “You’ll always have me, Y/N.”
“Your face is red, are you hot?” You start to lean back but he tugs you against him again.
“I’m fine. Stay.” He insists.
You snuggle into his arms, reaching a hand up to twist a lock of his hair around your fingers. Your tears stop after awhile, your sniffles subside. Eddie rocks you in his arms, humming a song soothingly.
“He broke my heart, Eds.” You whisper after a bit. “And I don’t know if I’ll ever be okay again.”
“You will. In time you won’t even remember him. Someone will mention his name and you’ll draw a blank. I promise you.”
“I don’t want to forget him. I just want the pain to stop.”
“It will, baby. Just give it time. And do whatever you need to do to feel better. Your feelings, your mental health, that’s what matters right now and fuck anyone that can’t see that.”
“You’re so insanely loyal, you know that? I could kill someone and you’d say it was their fault for running into my knife.”
“Shouldn’t have been running around sharp objects, totally their fault.” He quips, smoothing your hair as you look up at him. “Seriously, you will find happiness again. You don’t need anyone else to be happy. It comes from you, sweets.”
“You’re amazing, you know that, right?” You smile at him and realize it’s the first time you’ve smiled in days.
“There’s that gorgeous grin, I’ve missed that.” He can’t help but run his thumb over your bottom lip. Your breath hitches and your lips part as if they have a mind of their own.
Eddie groans softly, eyes fixated on your mouth. “Sweets…” His tone carries a warning.
You close off the space between the two of you and kiss him. Eddie returns the kiss, caught up in a moment of weakness. He should stop this. You’re not in the right mindset. But he indulges for a few more seconds before pulling away.
“We can’t.” He murmurs. “You need time and I understand that.”
You blush, starting to pull away from him. “I’m so sorry, I shouldn’t have done that.”
He tugs you back, shaking his head. “No, I’m glad you did. And I want to revisit this, when you’ve gotten over your heartbreak. I don’t want to be a rebound or a way to forget about him. I want to know that it’s real, Y/N, cause it’s real for me.”
“It is for me, too. But I agree, I need some time to process and move on from this.”
“Of course, sweets.”
~~~~~~~~~~
And Eddie does that. He gives you space and time, staying by your side to help you through your heartbreak. He holds your hand, he makes sure you eat and get some sleep, he listens to you cry and vent and scream and do everything you need to do to move on.
And one day someone brings up the guy you lost in conversation. Eddie’s eyes immediately flicker over to you, frowning.
But you’re okay. You barely register his name, your expression doesn’t change. You nod politely when someone tells you he’s engaged now, no trace of sadness or remorse on your face.
And that night, Eddie kisses you again for the first time in months. He cups your face and holds you close and tells you that he’s proud of you, that you’re amazing, and that you’re all his. Because after all, being happy with Eddie is what you deserve.
Part 4 to the fwb series.
Takes place three weeks after the last update, Eddie is finally coming to terms with what you meant to him, he and Chrissy are over for good and Eddie is sure he will never get a chance with you again...
18+, minors shoo!! A lot of angst, pining.
🖤
It has been a long three weeks since Eddie had seen you. He had a lot of chance to reflect in those three weeks, all that kept playing in his mind is you shutting the door in his face.
He had lost you. Been so sure, so stupid and unbelievably arrogant that you'd be back that he didn't fight for you, ignored any feelings that tried to break through to the surface when you were with him.
You were right he did dangle hope, he felt like a complete asshole for how he treated you. It wasn't always like that though, most of the time you and Eddie laughed a lot.
Sometimes you'd even talk for a long time... it was a world away from what it was like with Chrissy, easy and felt good, not the on and off shit and arguments that him and Chrissy had.
What a fucking idiot he was. Dustin and Steve had went through him when they found out about the two of you, berated him for being a dick to you.
He deserved every bit of their ire. Fuck, how could he ever thought you'd take him back, when all he did was hurt you every time.
Chrissy glares at him as she removes the last of the stuff from the trailer, there's not much but she's took a long time to come and collect it. Not that he blames her for that, but they've both been stupid to think this could work between them.
It felt cathartic to finally be free of the notion of him and Chrissy, if he could really be honest they both moved on a while ago, clung on to long to something attainable.
"Are you in love with that girl or something because you're frankly quite depressing Eddie" Chrissy huffs at him and gestures to the forlorn way he's been acting.
"Yeah but I fucked it all up though so it doesn't matter anymore" he sighs as he lights a cigarette.
"Wow. Sucks to be you that you fucked around and she left you high and dry huh?" Chrissy says all sweetness laced with venom and he shakes his head. Shit why did he ever think that she was sweet?
Knowing he would be subject to more barbs and shit if he stayed, he leaves to get some peace and to just be alone for a while.
...
You're here. Eddie didn't expect to see you anytime soon, thought you'd avoid him like the plague or something. The Hideout is packed and there's a great band playing but all Eddie can notice is you.
You look beautiful, a smile on your face as you chat to the guy beside you. Eddie wonders if this is the guy you went on a date with? Were you dating still? His heart clenches in his chest, like it's in a vice grip.
When you catch his eye he swiftly looks away and clumsily downs his beer. Feels his heart race when you keep looking at him.
Sink or swim Munson, you can run away or you can at least make things right and apologise. He chooses the latter and walks up to you, he's all jumbled thoughts and he's nervous as shit but he has to do this.
"Hey, I won't take up much or your time princess but I just want you to know that I know I'm a fucking idiot, I should have let you in instead of keeping you at arms length and I... I miss you sweetheart" you stare at him for a long few seconds.
"You mean you miss the sex?" you murmur quietly and he shakes his head.
"No. I mean that was mindblowing sweetheart, you know that, but it's not just that. I know I've lost you, don't deserve any less but I just wanted to say this" he feels lighter in himself but the ache in his chest feels like it's multiplied.
Even the fucking bats weren't as painful as this shit feels. He turns to leave but you stop him, gently tug him back as you slip your hand through his.
It feels so fucking right.
"Did I mean anything to you or was it just sex?" your voice shakes a little bit and he wants to assure you that you did mean something, he was just an idiot who realised it too late.
"You were more than just sex. I'm so fucking sorry that it took me so long to realise, to get my head out of my ass" he leans forward and gently kisses your forehead, smiles sadly and then leaves.
...
You still feel the pressure of Eddie's lips on your head, that soft look in his eyes when he told you that you meant something to him, that you meant more than just sex.
It's like you're on autopilot when you drive home, your friend Alex's voice a distant fog as he talks about his date from earlier in the week.
The two of you had went on a date last month but both quickly realised it wasn't going to work.
Head swimming with thoughts you drop Alex of at his flat and continue driving, straight past your house and to Eddie's trailer.
You don't know why you're here, you shouldn't be but your stupid traitor heart is egging you on.
Chrissy would be here wouldn't she? As far as you knew they were still together... At least you hadn't heard otherwise. Dustin had mentioned Chrissy leaving Eddie, but they were always on and off so you didn't really know if they were together or not.
Just as you suspect Chrissy comes out of the trailer and your heart sinks, you're ready to turn away and sigh sadly. Why did you stupidly think anything would be different.
Eddie comes out at that point and he just looks so done. It gives you pause and you watch as Chrissy piles her belongings in the car, glaring at him.
"I mean it Eddie, I'm not coming back this time" you expect Eddie to beg or something but he doesn't, just shrugs softly.
"Chrissy, I'm done. Done with this, when you leave that's it. This isn't what I want, not anymore" you feel yourself gasp and Eddie's head turns in your direction.
"Princess. What are you doing here?" flustered you walk over feeling awkward as hell. Chrissy rolls her eyes, slams the trunk of her car down hard and gets in the drivers seat.
"Congratulations' she says cooly. Gotta say I'm surprised anyone got that freak to fall in love" despite what's gone on between you and Eddie you feel ire build up inside you at her comment to him.
"Don't call him that and he's not in love with me" you shake your head at the very thought, there was no way. He would have told you.
Chrissy cocks her head then snorts, drives away and raises a finger in Eddie's direction as she does. Over the roar of the car you don't hear what Eddie is saying, just see his lips move.
"What?" you move closer to him, his expression is tender and he strokes your cheek.
"I said yes I am" he replies to you gently, the confession hangs in the air. You're stunned, definitely didn't expect it.
"Why didn't you say anything? you whimper. Fuck, all of this heartache and shit. Thinking you meant nothing to him, then he tells you this.
"I'm an idiot. Realised at the last minute, realised I was too late, you said I'd lost you sweetheart and I realised after you said it that I was in love with you"
You're shivering and it's so cold but you're desperate to hear more of what Eddie says. He notices you shaking and motions you to come inside, retrieves a thick blanket and wraps it around you.
"I don't deserve another chance, I acted like such an asshole and I'm so fucking sorry sweetheart... If you ever did by some miracle want to give me one more shot at this then I promise you I'll do better, I'll love you so fucking much, I will never be so stupid to let you go again"
His hands slip into yours and you're rife with indecision. Your heart telling you one thing while your head is saying different.
"I can't promise that I'll never be an idiot but I won't ever hurt you ever, I mean that princess" he gazes at you with such sincerity that it takes your breath away.
"What if I suggested a coffee date or even just seeing a movie? Stopping over for some of Wayne's amazing mac and cheese?" you suggest, thinking of small ideas, something slow and easy at first.
Eddie's eyes light up. "Anything, anything you want. We could have hot chocolate and camp out, watch the stars like you wanted too that one time?" it sounds so nice, it would be so easy to say yes.
"I'm scared Eddie" you admit. Scared you'll get your heart broken again. He softens and sits beside you, squeezing your hands.
"I'm scared too sweetheart. I've never felt this way about anyone, certainly not Chrissy. If you decide to give me a chance, give me your heart then I'll swear I'll protect it and cherish it, never ever break it again"
Tears run down your cheeks and you nod, just a tiny bit and the smile that breaks out on Eddie's face is beautiful.
"You mean it?" he asks hopeful, big brown eyes full of happiness. Yes. Yes. You do mean it and grin back at him
Tentatively Eddie kisses you, smiling when you're arms wrap around him. He pulls away and takes your hand, kissing it softly.
"Hope you're ready to be wooed?" he teases and warmness sweeps over you. Hope that this time things will be different, know deep in your bones that this time Eddie isn't going to fuck up.
You cuddle into his chest and for the first time in a while, you feel content.
❤️
And that's it :) thank you to everyone who supported this series. I loved hearing all of your thoughts. Hope you like the final part 🖤
